At first things seemed great but they were unable to get a signal and my husband was misled into either we had to pay $2000 for a tower in our back yard or take a tree down that was in the way. We spent a lot of money taking a tree down and when we called to have someone come back out we were going to be charged a service fee and it would only be waived if they were able to get a signal. I ended up calling a different company.
Great service, certainly better than nextlink. I don’t understand all the bad reviews?
Cirra has always been prompt, professional, and very courteous. The internet service is second to none!!!
I have had cierra for almost 3 years. I have never had a problem with the customer service. Even when I forgot to pay the bill. (Autopay has saved face for me) the tech that we had helped us understand the liability of them attaching equipment to our roof. We paid for an Electrician/friend to basically put in a port for any service to connect to. Why take short cuts. I learned my lesson allowing ATT Techs to install by punching through my siding and metal roof. I gave cierra four stars because the service really suffers when it rains. Tonight while I am writing this the service has been interrupted. This is the first time in almost 3 years so I have no complaints. I just hope they get it fixed fast. Its Friday night Im old and want to veg on the couch with my Roku. Lol
Third day I took off for Cirra to come replace router. Timeframe for a technician to come out was 12 pm - 6 pm. Tech messages me at 10:30 am asking if I was avail. I said I’d be there at 12:30. At 11:53 AM he messages back that he is an hour away an ill have to reschedule. Don’t expect NICK to listen to you when you call. He talks over you and then hangs up on you. WHAT KIND OF UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS IS THIS! ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY
For $150 a month to get close too or 50 megs, I get 25-29, called customer support, they said sorry....that’s still in our range of contract when I payed 25$ for 25 megs with AT&T??? Stay Awwwway!
A huge upgrade from satellite! Ive been w/Cirra Net for over 2 years now. I know it all depends on how clear the path is to the providers antenna, but for us Cirra Net has been wonderful! Our old service was excruciatingly slow -- they should have been paying us. Honestly, Cirra Net was the last ISP on my list when we moved, but I didnt have a choice. I was skeptical, but have never had a problem and I can VPN without any slowdown. Cirra Net is super fast and their service has always been great.
I pay for the most expensive package at 50 mbps. I run speed test all the time because I am a gamer and lag constantly. Netflix will cut out on you every once in a while but not too often. I also work from home and there have been some days where it hasn’t had enough speeds to even allow me to work.On average, the speeds I see are around 18... but pay for 50. Other than that, I feel the customer service is fair, but the actual internet service is a 2 out of 10.
Horrible after 630 to 7 in afternoon everyday dont even get close to the speeds you pay for its ok from about lunch till then would go with something else but no other providers for me
Ok so for the most part when the service is working it is actually great. I run my office from home, I game, stream and so on with generally minimal issues. Now where Cirra is bad, support! When the service is down or running at a1/16th of what you should it always seems to be right when they close or shortly after. So there is no way your service will be fixed or working that night.
I switched to Cirra Networks from Rise and have been completely happy ever since. Speeds are higher than Rise ever was and works great with no down times or slow downs. A++
Unprofessional. The first technician they sent wanted to put a hole in my outside wall in a ridiculous place, so I had to hire an electrician to snake a line. This cost me extra, delayed install a WEEK, and it seems like something the technicians should know how to do. The second guy did not even SHOW UP for our appointment after I told him I did not want anything mounted to my metal roof. He stopped responding and no one from the company will answer or even call me back. I am glad I did not get trapped in a 2 year contract with a company with this kind of customer service.
Not sure why all the hate... Ive used other networks in the area and Cirra has been great for the almost 2 years weve had them. Besides the high price per low Mbps Ive never had an outage or issue wish them. The issues that most people are reporting I had on a daily basis with the other main provider in the area. Revamp your price plans to have better price points for your customers, because its only a matter of time before big cable and DSL take over the country areas. Secure your customers now.
I have had great service with Cirra. They came out promptly and on time, installation was a breeze and the technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. I have so much faster internet now compared to Uverse!!! I am located in Jacksboro and there are quite a few of us here that have Cirra. That’s who recommended them to me, my neighbors. I would give 5 but it is a little more costly.
Terrible to pay 100 a month for service that is always down, phone that is never answered and internet slower than old dial up. Can’t wait until next month when we are moving to next link!
Excellent Experience from start to finish. We have a small business and contacted Cirra Net for our Internet Service. We had Technician Casey out within four days to do the installation. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and completed the installation within a two hour window. He answered all our questions and our Internet service is working great. I highly recommend Cirra Net.
My Family is paying for the 50 Mb download speed and now we are only getting from 0.70 Mb to 3 Mbs. We have called multiple times but we dont get an answer. The internet is constantly going down and its never constant
Best customer service ever. Ben walked me though everything. would recommend 10/10
The only reason I give them one star is because zero is not an option. Started with them about 3 years ago and it was great until last fall. Got bad and they said the tower needed upgrade and would be done shortly. This went on for three months and finally in about March of this year seemed to get better but not anywhere near as it was. Continued to pay the $95 per month. About two months ago started to have major problems. We don’t use much bandwidth so we never noticed until the speed got down below 1 mbps. Every time we called they would blame our equipment and I’ve bought two new routers in the process. Stay away from them. If they had just told me the truth, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today, searching for emergency internet so I can operate my small business. They did agree to credit my last months bill but I’ve have a minimum of nine months without even half what it should have been. Just to add a note, when they credited my last months bill, they shut off the service. After months of paying them for almost nothing, they didn’t wait 10 minutes.
We have had Cirra net for over a year now. Have had no problems. Called them and they were very pleasant to talk to and fixed me right up. I dont know why all the bad reviews, I have no complaints at all!!
I complained about a service issue via email. In less than a week a service tech upgraded and realigned my antenna. So far my service has been uninterrupted and the speed is acceptable. Thanks Ben.
They switched me to paperless billing without consent. Sent me an email bill while I was on vacation. Got home less than 36 hrs after due date according to email. It was cut off. I immediately paid that day. It was a Friday at noon. They didnt turn in back on. I called and technician said just wait until Monday. So apparently they shut it off within 24 hrs on not paying and just take your money and turn it back on whenever they feel like it. Have been a customer for YEARS, always on time.
Hahaha if you pick this company you are ether forced to pick them or you shouldn’t, my experience is don’t watch things at night, if you wanna watch something on a Saturday your joking, the server is as bought as fast as a snail on a sticky fly paper, and the best way to fix it is to hope for the best and wait.If you want fast speed and also this company... well umm call them, but it will cost you more money than it takes to move, stuck in a contract, no problem, oh sarry I was tipped off to not tell you how oops I said that ok bye
Called for information on plans. Asked what the “up to” speeds were on all the plans and the tech asks me “Why are you asking?” Then he proceeds to belittle my knowledge the whole phone call when my question is a simple one. I’m just assuming the guy has no idea how to do his job or this is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Think it’s a combo of both. Do yourself the favor and hook up some rabbit ears to your router and wrap some tin foil around them. Would have better luck getting service out of that than from these chumps.
We have clients who use both their internet services and their phone services. Service and support are excellent--very quick response and resolution of any issues that arise. They understand the needs of business and home clients and all of their services are solid and reliable. Our clients have found that using them has lead to increase in quality (as compared to other services providers) while saving money. Highly recommended!
Customer service is beyond lacking, bandwidth promised is rarely obtained (or at least it is temporarily and then goes back to being terrible), and the techs will act like you are the problem - not their throttled service. Cant wait for 5G so I can dump them!
Cirra Networks hands down wins the worst company ever award!! The techs are rude makes you feel like an idiot while your trying to explain your issues. You get the same spill plug it in do you get the speed? If you do then Their solution to everything buy a larger plan or buy another router. If I had another choice I’d be gone in a heartbeat!!! Any suggestions?? Saginaw, Eagle Mountain, Haslet area.
Called multiple times due to not having service. Said they would have someone call to schedule appt. No call... Called and left multiple massages, no returned phone call. Finally scheduled an appointment, no show. Called to cancel service. No answer.
Been with the company a few months and service is great! Know someone else that has had it for years and has been pleased with the service and he is a heavy data user. Havent noticed any lag during peak times. They are setting up a tower on my site and from what I understand it can only get better. Currently I get 15 down and 5 up steady during peak and off peak times. Netflix and any video service I have used havent seen any issues.
Slow internet that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. But don’t expect them to do anything about it. It’s your problem. You will have to pay for them to come out and check your equipment. It slows down to snail speeds at night for some reason. Even kids complain it’s “glitchy” when playing online games.
Tech was helpful and respected my home. Good price on residential. Good speed. Highly recommend these guys.
Lose connectivity quite often, the reps do talk to us, they seem very cordial. The problem is not getting solved! I we reinvested in more expensive routers and were still having the same problems. They tell me that the signal to my house is great, so I wish they would come out and check things out. We upgraded to get better Internet, we been with you guys a few years, our choice is limited, plus weve got four of our neighbors to sign up.
Very poor service. In the evenings it gets slower and in a power outage they don’t have a generator for their towers. It’s been off three days. They better lower my bill!
Scheduling is convenient when i need a service call. It seems that when I call I always talk to the same helpful people! So nice to find a local company for internet service
Easily the least consistent service ive ever had
Signal is consistent and reliable. Not as fast as I would like, but that is the nature of line of sight. Overall, I am satisfied with the service thus far.
This company sucks, you can find better prices with better service. I called 10 times and never got an answer, all during business hours. Do yourself a favor and dont bother calling these guys, you wont get an answer. I switched to a different company.
I have had them less than two weeks. I had to pay for a pole extension. Installed and left. That day it went down. EVERY SINGLE DAY I HAVE DEALT WITH NO SERVICE OR HAVING TO UNPLUG/RESET THEIR EQUIPMENT. I just had a tech out TODAY and allegedly it was fixed. Again, I have no service after watching one single show on Hulu. Literally an hour. Now Im done. I will not pay another dime to them and will be filing for a refund with the better business bureau. If I do not get my money back for installation and first months service I will have a lawyer file paperwork. Do not use them!!! I thought suddenlink was bad, these people are worse!!!!!
This company will just hang up on you when you try and speak with them.
We’ve had Cirra internet for going on 3 years & we’ve had nothing but exceptional service. Customer service & tech support are outstanding. We have fast internet service for many, many devices, streaming & gaming is not ever an issue. Price is very reasonable for service also. We’ve had other internet providers in the past that did not have anywhere near the service we have now.
Absolute junk in the Weatherford Peaster area. At first the service was great about year ago ave 13 download speed. Now being they are so saturated during peak time it fluctuated all from 5-7 to .03. I have called several times and finally have been advised that if we get a quarter of the download speed its within there allowable range.
FFS, just trying to GET service with these people will make you lose your mind!Weve gone thru the online process to sign up for svc & installation TWICE. The first time, I was supposed to be contacted to confirm the installation; never heard a word & no one ever showed.A few weeks later, I tried again. This time someone did call to confirm the appt. Found out that in addition to the $99 installation fee, I would need to either go buy a router myself which would likely cost another $100-150 (and I dont know ANYTHING about them), or Id need to pay an additional $89 for the tech to being a router. I chose the latter. They said I would be contacted by the tech the next day when they were on the way to my house. Instead, some random guy just showed up on my front porch with absolutely no warning and rang the doorbell. He asked if Id bought my own router; I said no, Id asked to have one provided by Cirra & brought to the installation. He then went off on a long diatribe about how the routers provided by Cirra are garbage, I should definitely run over to Best Buy and buy one instead. He rattled off a bunch of specs Id need to know in order to buy the right one.I tried to explain that its not that easy for me - Im partially disabled, so I try to plan ahead for errands and group them, have my husband or one of my grown kids come with me to help, and take care of as much as I can in advance via internet/phone. Just hopping in my car for an unplanned trip to Best Buy (where I NEVER shop, as I find them overpriced & inconvenient) isnt feasible. Also, I explained that this was already our 2nd go at installation, and we REALLY needed to get this done. The tech then started telling me wed be better off going back to AT&T, that the speeds provided by Cirra are too slow for our purposes, and the service is spotty & unreliable. Dude, WHAT?The long & short is that this guy just flat didnt want to do his job. He didnt come in to check the layout or wiring of our house, didnt look around outside, and nothing I said to try to move forward w the installation made a DENT. It was about 12:30, so maybe he had lunch plans or wanted to nap for a couple hours. Finally I gave up and just asked if he would please have someone call me to reschedule the installation. He said he would, but (to our complete LACK of surprise) we never heard back.Today I called to ask what happened. I was told that he reported the install as failed (?!?). I asked what that MEANS - evidently it usually means theres some physical or technical reason the installation couldnt be done; but USUALLY there would be a report of WHY that was the case. No reason was noted for us. The CSR said hed talk to the tech and find out, then get back to us.Yeah, Im just HOLDING MY BREATH.
Thank you to Justin our tech for the day for providing exceptional customer service in the Fort Worth area. He is polite, professional, knowledgeable and patient. We havent had internet in almost a year and have become very frustrated with the lack of internet providers in my area. Thankfully, Justin came out and got us connected. He was on time and so helpful with all our questions. Thank you for getting us connected and for getting the job done patiently and correctly. It is greatly appreciated.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! DONT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Go with nextlink. These people promise a lot and at one point one of the salesman/“tech support” guy called me a liar... they are lazy, way overpriced, uneducated and definitely unprofessional. The technician said he’d be done in an hour and he took way longer he also said he could “see the tower” and apparently couldn’t get signal from it so honestly I don’t even know what to believe of these liars. I honestly never write bad reviews but this one had to be done and I just don’t want y’all to go through the same trouble as I did. it’s funny how they let these bad reviews build up which takes me back to one of my previous sentence..... LAZY AND UNEDUCATED..
Called multiple times about an outage only to be sent directly to a full voicemail box and hung up on.
I have had Cirra now for little over a year, The tech was kind and knowledgeable about cirras network . I currently have 12.7 Mbs download and 5.3 Mbs upload. Im constantly checking other providers for better down load speed but as of now Cirra has been the best option available in my area ( southwest of Boyd )
Cirranet was able to provide service for my home and office when no one else could. Technician Justin is very knowledgeable!
Internet outage started last night around 6:15. I called they were aware of the issue but as it was a new issue they didnt have an ETA. No problem I can understand that. At 7pm they all go home so no updates. No online status, no recorded message just vanish. Called back at 8am today, yes there is still an issue, no they dont know anything else. I called back multiple times through the day, now 24 hours later they still know there is an issue, no one knows what it is, no ETA. This leads me to suspect that either 1) their engineers dont have cell phones 2) the engineers dont exist or at least are not working this issue 3) no one cares about giving the customer useful information like say whats actually wrong and when it might be fixed. This isnt the support teams fault but when I asked to talk to someone who could at least call an engineer I got a disgruntled offer to connect to the managers extension though no idea if he would answer or not. Nice. Left a message I dont expect a call back. I know this is only a consumer grade service but this is very poor. Needless to say I will be leaving the day that 2 year lockin is up (2 years even though the equipment was already installed at my house!). Do yourself a favor and pick a different ISP. These guys are great when things work but terrible if you ever need to talk to customer service
Awful service.... unprofessional.... customer service is nonexistent.... worst company I have ever dealt with. Trust me go to anyone else. Had to give one star in order to post my opinion!!! So if u read this they get NO STARS
Pricing on business packages is laughable for the speeds delivered. Residential users need not apply - Cirra refuses to even tell you what speed connection youll get. No guarantees, no customer service.Dont even consider these fools. Look into NextLink if you want a good connection. They are very helpful and professional.Cirra is just a joke.
Ive been using them for several months and have been very happy. Good speeds and seldom down.
These people are so ugly and rude. All they want is your monthly fee but do NOTprovide what you are paying for.Service cuts out constantly and they refuse to be a responsible business and come out to fix the problem.Very passive aggressive and argumentative and thats not just one person; but several. Ask for a supervisor and they cut you off and send you to voice mail. When you call in, their are options to leave messages for two managers; which should be a clue to business and organizational culture.
Terrible, terrible, terrible. Signed up for the UP TO 15 mbps, rarely get more than 4-6. In the past they’ve conducted routine maintenance that takes their whole system down during the day on a weekday with no notice. No internet today. No response from their tech support. Left messages... no response.
UNTRUTHFUL! I spoke with a sales rep. 1 1/2 - 2 weeks ago. He ran my address and said there is pretty good reception. I set an appointment for 4/28 between 9a-12p. I received a email which stated that I would receive a call prior to the appointment time. WELL, 2 hours and 8 minutes later (2:08p) a rep. from Crappa, left a message which I missed the call and said their technicians looked at it and they were not going to be able to service my area. I call back and spoke with a rep. I informed him No One Called or Came by the house because I had my fat a$$ THERE FROM 9A-12P. Then hes said the Engineers looked at it and they were not going to be able to service my area. I called him on the switch from Technicians to Engineers and told him a sales rep. said I had pretty good reception at my address and Complete Silence, it was like a deer in the headlights! WOW, NO HONESTY, IF I WERE TO OPERATE MY BUSINESS IN THIS MANNER, I WOULD BE LIVING ON THE STREETS AND IN THE WELFARE LINE! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING LIED TOO!
Jeff was very helpful he hooked me up quick and answered all my questions very happy with my experience
If I could rate 0 stars I would. We have had this service for just over 2 months and we lose signal multiple times daily. The connection speed is laughable and they will not commit into writing the actual speed of our service. If you have another option, use it. They are sadly the only option in our new neighborhood.
Made appointment for install. Told them THREE TIMES ahead of time that they need to bring a tripod and poles to go up 20 feet. Installer comes unprepared. Sales department failed to communicate with installer. Installer leaves to get equipment, fails to come back. Owner calls me, tells me hes not interested in my business and wont be back, like its my fault theres no communications between their departments? Very rude! Arrogant. I would recommend you go elsewhere!
I think this company is awful! Terrible and I mean terrible customer service! They set up a faulty connection and finally after a couple of days I was able to speak with the manager after being hung up by Haley. Now they are saying they cant fix the issue until next week. Im sorry but we paid for a service that doesnt work and they arent even willing to fix the problem within a decent time. We have to wait a week from when it was installed to even have someone come out! That is terrible! Absolutely would not recommend this company ever!
Service is ok, any wind or storms causes it to not work well. My main complaint is with billing. I pay my bill online, and last month when paying my bill, it said there was an error processing my payment, and to try again. Which I did. I was then charged twice, and had to call Cirra. I was told they would refund it, but I would be charged a fee. I explained what happened, and was just told “I don’t know why it would have done that”. So I just had them apply it to the next bill, but I am not happy that they basically called me a liar, and because they were aware of the discrepancy and made no effort to contact me about it
I have only had Hughes Net as an option for internet service for 10 years due to the location of my home. Hughes Net was over priced and rarely worked. Cirranet has been a great solution! Pricing is reasonable and the fast internet they provide has been a great answer for our needs.
So far they have canceled 3 times and just not shown up once so they are supposed to be out next week have left multiple messages for manager and he isnt calling back they are the only option where Im at otherwise I would be done they dont show up this time Im done
Absolutely the worst service and customer service I have ever experienced. Tower outage is why we have had no internet for 15+ hours and they cannot tell me when it will be fixed. It goes down daily and I have to reset it at the wall by unplugging and replugging. There has to be a better internet provider for Briar Oaks!
$100 a month for their “up to 15mbps”...rarely get over 4....and the tower is in my back yard. Absolute garbage. Only chose them due to lack of options.
It just sucks
This company has great service and they explained things in a way that I could understand them.
These people suck. The internet is consistently slow. No matter what package I paid for I got the same speed which was about 2 mb down and 1 up. Customer service is terrible as well. They really don’t care about your business. I cancelled their services after a few months and they didn’t even ask why. They suck and they know it. Stay away from these people. Straight up crooks! Get nextlink!
Had a technician come out last week in their own beat up personal vehicle. Could not get a signal nor did they sell a pole extension to try to get a better Signal. Told me I could buy one online and have them come back and try again. And just pointed me to their competitor nextlink to try them that they sell the poles. COMPANY IS A JOKE DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEM. Go to nextlink I repeat go to nextlink they have 5 starts unlike this trash company.
I was moving and they charged me $200 for canceling contract, when they dont service the state I am moving too. Horrible way of doing business. I was told thats whats in the contract. They are sneaky and I would NOT recommend using them.
This is the absolute worst Internet Service Provider. We had no choice but to switch from AT&T because when we bought our home, our new area did not receive AT&T Internet. I have only had them 8 months and I have already had 2 issues. My internet has been out a week and now they are saying we have to take our router in to exchange it. There only open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. So now I have to miss work (not get paid), to take this router in to get repaired. AND Im 100% sure we will not get credit on our account for this trouble either. I check every month if AT&T is servicing my area yet and I am also on there call list when they do. I can NOT wait to switch back.
Well, cant rate them with ZERO stars. I am paying for the best plan available with limited bandwidth (less than the plan identifies when tested with internet bandwidth test) and I have had issues with the company since signing up last winter, technical staff cannot answer simple questions. For instance, today there was an issue with connectivity and extremely slow bandwidth due to an outage. Staff did not know how long it would take to resolve and still issues remain. Called after hours - no one there to answer the phone and just get their voicemail - not even a message on the status of the outage. No internet service again tonight and paying $80 a month for this sub-par service. All previous issues have never been resolved by staff over the phone and I just have to wait for things to resolve over time typically 3 - 8 hours - time to switch to another provider.
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. The highest package is $220 a month for UP TO 30mbps. Normally I get around 8mbps or so with an Ethernet setup. When I call and complain they say everything is fine and then my internet is magically up to 25 Mbps but for only about an hour or so then it goes back down. At night time after they close my internet turns off for hours sometimes until morning when they open again. Its off as Im writing this, Ive also mentioned this to them and in response they told me to send an email when it happens. Basically saying we dont care. I would only recommend this service to hitler but unforntunely its my only option for this area. Once any other decent provider sets up here this company will go out of business. Very rude customer service, very bad service, way over priced, this company is a scam that just wants your money without giving you what you pay for. Youre better off hooking up a cable to the local library or Walmart and running it to your house. Fred flinstone gets better internet than this. This company is straight trash no matter how many times I call they still dont care because at the end of the day they all get their paycheck and get to go home. They couldnt care less about their customers.Im editing this like 13 hours later internet is still off. I called and when they picked up and I told them its been offline for about 13 hours now they hung up. I called back and no one will answer the line anymore, feel like Im being ghosted by my ips. Awful
Have been using this service for the last 6 months and I have been quite happy with it as it is reliable and the speed is consistent.
Very unprofessional costumer service. Called to ask about cancellation fees due to their terrible internet service and the representative on the phone said its $200 i guess.. but youll have to ask Bill/Bob (whatever the hell) because i dont know. thats a basic question that he should know the answer to. It was a comparable conversation to people calling Patrick at the Krusty Krab on Spongebob.
They dont service apartments. They would have more business if they did.
I recently moved to the Resort on Eagle Mountain. I am a gamer, and a computer programmer by trade and was not terribly happy about the limited options out here but I went with Cirra. Found the sales guy honest about the bandwidth, peak usage, latency and lag.I can easily play online while my kids watch Netflix. It does get a little rough if Im streaming content on 3 or more devices or two at HD quality. Patch day sucks as what took 5-10 minutes on Fios now takes a couple of hours or more, but day to day usage is decent. I got what was advertised and am happy with this service so far.I cant speak for others but from the two people I have interacted with in sales (Aaron) to the installer I found them to be exceptionally nice and honest about their product and its strengths and weaknesses.
BY FAR THE WORST ISP. Do not use Cirranet. I am locked in for two years. I wished I had read the reviews before picking this provider. My internet was out for 5 days, no ETA, ever since it came back up, the connection goes in and out all day throughout the day. I am paying over 60 a month that I barely get service for. Very disappointed costumer.
I cant vouch for the others but so far its been about 4 months and I LOVE IT! We stream shows and movies all the time and no lag at all. I was weary at first bc of the satellite system but I have no complaints. Matter of fact, works way better than ATTs DSL I used to have!!
Cirra Networks is BY FAR the ABSOLUTE WORST internet company that has ever existed. They have constantly shut off my internet from 1 pm to 5 pm and asked for money to turn it back on, and they are practically a scam for how much they charge V.S. how much internet speed you actually receive. Seriously, they charge $80 dollars a month for 15Mbps download speed. How absolutely mentally retarded is that? Talk about trying to milk as much money out of their misinformed customers that dont know any better about how bad of a deal that is. I could swear they have only two people in their customer support department, and they always have their fingers up each others asses and try to squeeze as much money as they can out of you by charging you $85 just to drive out there and figure out what the problem is, not including the possible additional fees for fixing other issues. This ISP is an absolute joke, and I would rather jump off the Empire State Building than recommend them to anyone at all.
Not getting bandwidth as should be. every night is the same thing low mbps paying to much for poor service
I tried to call them just now to see if they provide for an apartment Im looking into and if so what speeds are available. Jerry answered and said that they dont provide for apartments. Yet when I type the address into their coverage map, it comes up green. He was very rude and very unhelpful.
I downloaded the yelp app just so I could write this review. Their service was fine when we first got it But after the first year it quickly spiraled down. If it wasnt for the fact that I have no other isp options at all I wouldnt have cirra now. The moment something else comes in Ill be paying the 200 dollar severance fee and jumping to whatever it is even dsl. I have their top tier tier which is double the price of other standard options and its still unreliable. I have to make sure only one device is connected while streaming or gaming and even then Im plagued with disconnects and scenes buffering for minutes. Not to mention if service goes down all together which seems to happen on weekends when no one is staffed. The only reason I rated 2 stars instead of 1 is that the 2 people I ever seen to talk to on the phone are really nice. My advice is if you have another option take it.
Small hard to find only internet option available
Honestly, this may be the most incompetent ISP Ive come across. I really think they are running out of money and starting to shut off peoples internet and claim that there is an issue just to get a service fee. If you have an alternative to this ISP, NEVER use them.
Streams my Netflix and Hulu just fine.
Horrible customer service. They are not proactive in communicating hardships and they lacks ownership.
I am overall very pleased with CirraNet. Been with them now almost a year and only had to call customer service once. I did hold a while but the person I spoke with was courteous and helpful. I think the majority of complaints stem from people that are not clear on what to expect from this type of broadband service. I get anywhere from 14 -16 mbps down and 5 mbps up in non-peak hours. You will see a decline during peak hours from about 5:30pm to 11pm. The worst I have seen is around 4 - 6 mbps down during these times. Even still, my daughter can be watching Netfilx in her room and we can be watching something on Hulu in the living room and still browse the web on an iPad. I regularly use VPN for work and also have had no issues whatsoever. This is different technology than FioS or cable internet, and if you are expecting it to be like them, then you will be disappointed. Most of my neighbors have NextLink and they all have these insane tall poles with guy wires mounted to their roofs that always blow over in bad storms and are very unsightly. You can barely see my antenna. Its very low profile and never had any problems in the storms. I never once have had to reboot my antenna. Also, make sure you invest in a good quality wireless router and you shouldnt have any problems.
Oh My Goodness I did NOT want to switch to a wireless provider because I felt we just couldnt get good service no matter what ...so why pay more? Why go through the hassle of switching, yada-yada. I could go on about my misgivings.Well its been 8 months and not a hint of a problem, not a single drop in service...we were having dozens of drops a day with Windstream DSL. In the last 6 weeks we have had Thunderstorm after Thunderstorm, roll over us... trees down, limbs off, hail, did I say it was windy? Downright Blustery! Our little dish on its 10 foot stand bolted to the top of our dome house has not wavered... Bringing in the signal like a Viking Thanks Cirranet!! For doing it right! Period.
Started off with Citbroadband(later became a part of cirranetwork), upgraded to them from dial up. Started off good, then a year later, internet service became so unreliable we contemplated going back to dial up. Majority of the days the internet was unusable. But when it did work, you werent disconnected every 15 minutes like dial up. Well several years later, they upgraded their equipment we went from averaging 200kbps(we were suppose to be getting 2mpbs at the time) to geting 12mpbs. This was wonderful! Made me change all my opinions about them. But three months in a row we had to change our equipment, so that was 100 dollars extra each month cause our equipment kept going out. Well we havent had that issue anymore instead, of the 12mpbs we were getting we now get a max of 7mpbs. We are on the highest plan for residential areas and we are suppose to be the priority customers. We are suppose to get up to 15mbps on this plan, but obviously they cant deliver. But anywho in January of this year, was when the issue started happening with the slow speeds. So I called, and I called, and called. Everytime, I was told that everything looks fine on their end, it is now May, and when I called this month, they said that since January, they have been experiencing issues with peak times, (which is mostly all day) that the bandwidth and speeds drop. Now they drop to 1mbps to 100kbps. This is a service that is 80 dollars a month. What a joke. I was lied to, for several months. They over load themselves with customers and make it so the internet service that they provide is unusable for most of the day. So if you work morning to evening and get home, good luck if you wanna watch netflix without constant buffering, that youtube video your friend wants you to look up? Yeah you best just go somewhere else to watch it. Got a smartphone you want to use the wifi for instead of your data? Yeah just use the data, cause your phone will lock or be dead by the time your able to do whatever you were planning on doing. I have been stuck with this God awful company for 10 years. AT&T is developing my area and I cant wait for them to be done. Once I can say adios to Cirranetwork, I will be very relieved. Oh and being a college student, makes doing any online assignment impossible, online tests or quizzes, you will feel due to disconnections or the page not fully loading, best go to school to take care of that stuff.
Hard to reach customer service, very limited website, limited operational hours, most importantly is the service is very inconsistent unless you get online at 2-6 in the morning. The only reason I utilize the service is due to lack of options.
Terrifyingly bad ISP, if you had a choice between choosing this ISP and eating raw garbage, I would recommend eating raw garbage
Paid $190. Was told the internet would be on that evening. Internet was not on call back told them I was an American Veteran I was questioned as to whether I was a veteran or not. Basically if youre a veteran dont bother with these people cuz they will try to make you prove it. Oh and also they dont honor their word.
If you enjoy constant packet loss and people that do not know what networking terms are; then sure, they might be a fine ISP. But if you want an actually functional connection theyre horrible.
Paying to much for poor internet
You cant get them to come out and hook it up!
Use because of lack of options, service goes in and out constantly. Dont expect to get the speed youre paying for when its actually kind of working. Beyond awful.
Service works well. The owner on the other hand is not polite and does not follow up like he claims. Several calls and messages to him and finally a call back. Then super attitude of sorry if you were told wrong deal with it.
They are the worst isp if you have any other options available please do not use Cirra.
Awful internet, and awful outages, 1/1000
Works Great!
