I first heard of Straight Razor Steve from a coworker during an assignment in Eastern Europe, back in 2015. I was told about the staffs professionalism and attention to detail that enhanced the unique experience at this shop. Upon my return to the US, I made my first visit to the shop and I was not disappointed. Steve and Angel are excellent at what they do. They take the time needed to get your haircut to your expectations and it does not feel like the typical barber shop that is trying to rush through its customers.As we know, the ongoing pandemic restricts many small businesses from their creativity and the ingenuity that sets them apart. With that being said, this was often a place where people could walk in for a haircut or to sit and chat with everyone else in the shop before the pandemic hit. The shop truly offers a unique experience and I hope that theyre able to go back to regular operations very soon.Overall, Steve and Angel are great people that continue to offer quality haircuts in the area. I continue to drive the few extra miles to get a haircut at their shop every week.

I have always enjoyed my time at the Fender Barber Shop with Steve. He is welcoming, respectful and has a wonderful style to his shop and music that I enjoy getting a taste of. It’s a great conversation with him and Angel, and the two of them are professional and work with their clients. I would not recommend any other barber across the states I’ve lived in higher than this one.

Originally went to see Steve based off the reviews I read on Yelp. I have been going to him and his wife, Angel, now for approximately 6 months and have no plans on leaving. They are located on the inside of a Fiesta Grocery Store, which makes this place an absolute needle in a haystack.I went to the Great Clips/Sports Clips of the world for the last ten years. Those shops are usually $20 to get your lid cut, give or take. At Steves shop, the normal haircut is $30 but they actually spend time on your hair, making sure its perfect. They apply shaving cream to the back of your neck and around the ears to finish with a straight razor cut. Always come out looking SHARP.

The price may seem high to some, but it is worth every penny and then some!! Steve and his Angel are the most talented barbers I have ever met. They take their time to make sure your cut is perfect...never left with a single hair out of place!! And the atmosphere and conversation adds to the experience that sets the bar others simply cannot meet!! I am going to go get my haircut Tuesday, but I have intentionally gone without a haircut for about 2 months now simply because I havent been able to make it in to see them and I dont want anyone else cutting my hair! If you want the best of the best go see them and forget the rest.

As a customer for years, including following them to the current Fiesta location, Steve and Angel are outstanding, friendly people with amazing skill and talent. Who else would you trust to give you a haircut or straight razor shave than folks who pinstripe cars (and almost any item you want pinstriped). Cant recommend this place enough--great location, great tunes, great conversations, and great haircuts and beard trims.

New to Fort Worth, tried Straight Razor Steve based on Google reviews. Steve did not disappoint. Customer service was perfect, Steve welcomed me right in and was very patient and attentive. Not even the slightest hint of the tough guy BS you’ll encounter at some other shops. Steve has a quiet humility that I’ve learned comes from being incredibly proficient at what you do. The cut is excellent. And yes, it’s in the Fiesta grocery store; trust me it’s worth it. I never write reviews but felt compelled to post on this one. I’ll be back!

I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut and I found Steve through Google. I read some reviews, saw all of the positive things people had to say about him, and had to check it out. He absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. He takes his time, is very detail oriented, and makes sure youre completely satisfied with your cut before you leave. Hes very friendly and the shop has a great atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend.

I found this barber by sheer luck! It has the most amazing atmosphere, it really takes you back to the 50s and 60s. Steve and his wife were amazing to say the least....very personable and inviting. The wait was very minimal and the quality of the cut was second to none. Cleans lines a warm towel massage. I have received numerous compliments. I will suggest this place to all my friends and employees and guests.

If you live in Fort Worth and you go elsewhere, youre wasting your money. And probably have a bad haircut.Steve is the best barber in town. I did 8 and a half years in the military, thats roughly 400 haircuts, if you want to just take my word for it based on that feel free.I started going to Steve because he was the only barber in town that could do a fade exactly the same every time AND use a straight razor. You gotta get your cut finished with a straight razor or its just not a proper cut. Now he does a comb-over good enough for me that I might run for public office.He is an actual barber in every sense of the word, I actually only even know of 2 other people in town that use a straight razor. His shop is extremely clean, he is very professional and courteous and all his tools and utensils are clean.Pay attention to his hours, walk-ins only, cash only. But just buy a pack of gum when you walk into the Fiesta and get cash back, no big deal.His wife Angel is just as good as he is so dont be wary if theres a few people on the couch.

I wish I could give Steve 10 stars because he has earned it. Both he and his wife are beyond friendly. All patrons enjoy coming here and the service impeccable. Steve goes the extra mile to make old and new customers feel welcomed. I typically get haircut and shave. The straight razor touch is so smooth and the hot towel is blissful. Highly recommend seeing him.

Steve is hands-down the best. Ive been going to his shop for haircuts for around three years now. Hes incredibly kind and professional. Most importantly for any barber: hes clean. He keeps a very clean shop and cleans his tools thoroughly between each customer. Ive been satisfied with every cut Ive ever had by him. Also, his shop is inside the Fiesta grocery store so I can pick up groceries after a cut! If youre looking for a great barber, Steve is your man.

When I first visited Steves shop, I was a bit shocked that it was actually inside the fiesta grocery store. Once inside his shop, I was promptly greeted and offered a RC Cola or water from his fridge.With his hospitality and great conversation I was instantly hooked. Oh, and his hair cuts are pretty on point.Come here for the cuts or come for the company, either way, you will be completely satisfied and Im certain you will become a regular like I have going three years strong.

The fade was out of this world! I have been looking for a barber for 8 months until I came across him. A good razor fade is hard to come by, a great razor fade almost doesn’t exist. Let me tell you this is a GREAT razor fade. The atmosphere is great, the haircut is better. I’ll be a customer for as long as I live here and Recommend him to anyone in the area.

The best haircuts Ive ever gotten. Steve and Angel both do an excellent job. They do the works. Cut, neck shave with a straight razor, and they even trim your hairline and around the ears with the razor. I also do a shaved hard-part in my hair and they do it just right; not too wide. If I had a complaint, it would only be that they take only cash. Small thing and the skill makes up for it.

This is the place I was looking for. After moving from Dallas, I needed to find a new barber, and Straight Razor Steve was the guy. What an incredible cut - good fade, and perfect style. He tops it off with a straight razor all around, hot towel, and aftershave. My hair is notoriously difficult, but Steve helped me understand the best way to cut it, the best way to style it, and the best product to use. Ill be back.

Ive tried several barbers in fort worth and have been seriously disappointed in their execution and precision. Few of them could figure out what cut I wanted and the ones that did couldnt get the precision down. I had to fix areas they missed or have my wife do it. The first time I sat down in Angels seat and told her what I wanted she nailed it. The first time. Perfectly. Exactly as I asked and she has been consistent every time Ive been there. I wont get my haircut any other place! Great friendly service at a fair price.

Before Steve, Ive only trusted two other people with haircuts; Im very picky. Steve is talented, carefully listens to what you want and is great company. The shop is extremely hygienic and has some good people watching through a glass that peers into a grocery store. I cant recommend Steve enough!

Steve has been cutting my hair for 3 years and Angel for the past year or so. Both give excellent cuts using scissors, a straight razor to trim around the ears, side burns, and neck, and always finish with a hot towel for a great price. The shop is always filled with good music and conversation. On many occasions I have had conversations with three different generations of men during my haircut. I imagine this is the type of shop my grandfather would have loved. Not a place to visit if youre in a hurry(first come first served-no appointments) and also cash only, but well worth the time to get a quality haircut by barbers who know your name and story

The first time I went, I told Steve that I had always gone to a big name corporate haircut chain and didnt know what haircut to get other than what I had got my whole life. Steve sat down, pulled out a laptop and started to go through pictures of potential hair styles. I have always left satisfied, Steve and Angel are extremely polite and give the best advice when it comes hair and life. Fenders is an old school barbershop, and Steve is an old school barber. You arent going to find a boring, cheap, soulless, corporate hair cut here. Youre going to find a neat shop, a RC Cola, great tunes, a barber that knows you by name, and a dang fine hair cut!I hope Steve is still my barber in 50 years.

Im so lucky to have found him and he blows me away with every cut; whether Im showing him a picture or just letting him go with his gut and cut me a certain style. I love his personality, as well as his wifes. Have cash on you and dont worry about making an appointment, hes walk-in only. Great hours and a cool location (inside a Fiesta mart).

Ive been growing my beard out for 6 months and felt it was time for a trim. After a quick Google search, I came across Straight Razor Steves. Judging from the pictures and reviews it seemed like the best place in town. I decided to give it a shot. Let me say this, the reviews dont lie. Steve and Angel run an old school, two chair barbershop, which is tucked inside a Fiesta grocery store. They greet you when you come in and offer you a cold drink from the fridge. They have an interesting collection of memorabilia adorning the walls and the place just gives off good vibes. As for their work, Steve and Angel are consummate professionals who truly care about giving the customer exactly what they want. What impressed me most was when I sat in Angels chair and explained what I wanted done with my beard, she said I want you to know we take beard trims very seriously here. We understand how long it takes to grow out a beard, so we go slow and get it done right. At that point I knew I was in good hands. She gave me exactly what I had pictured in my mind and I couldnt be happier! And Angel, if you read this, you were right. My wife actually loved the way my beard looked! She said Thank God, no more Grizzly Adams! I couldnt believe it! So thanks again for the awesome trim! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Straight Razor Steves to anyone looking for a good barbershop The quality of this place is second to none! 👍👍
