I fell in love with a blush pink wedding dress from Davids Bridal. To be honest, it was a fairly basic dress, but the soft pink color is what really struck me. The only problem was that this dress was sleeveless, and I am a plus size girl. I am not a huge fan of my arms being bare.Asu did AMAZING work taking my basic pink dress and making it absolutely stunning by redesigning the top of the dress incorporate some sleeves with the coolest sequined fabric Id ever seen. Suddenly, this thing I was self conscious of, became a really positive conversation piece! She also hemmed and bustled the dress and sewed on the belt. The whole day everyone gushed over how fabulous my dress was and I owe it all to her hard work and brilliant vision.She was so kind, cheerful, fun, and super attentive to the details. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was at many times painful, but I always looked forward to my appointments with her because she makes people feel so good and special.A word of warning to those on a tight budget is due: Asu is an artist, has years of experience, and the HIGH quality of her work shows it. She charges appropriately and she is well worth the cost. If you are looking for a bargain, look elsewhere, but I promise the quality will not nearly be as good.

She was a delight to work with, and she tailored my dress (which I bought 5 sizes too big, on a sale) to exactly my size. She gave great advice about what details and shaping to add to the dress and was always kind, patient, and positive (even when I had to change my appointment time last-minute on several occasions). You can tell she really cares about her brides loving their dresses and feeling beautiful, and she will do whatever you need to make that happen!

I could have never found a better alterationstore for my wedding dress. I purchased mywedding dress over a year in advance whichwas a huge mistake and when I get it DavidsBridal told me there was no way it could be letout so I got it a size bigger than what fit me at the time. Sadly due to some hard times I went up 4 sizes and I was devastated but whenwent to Asu she told me it would not be anissue. After getting a rough estimate sheturned my dress into my dream dress removing the zipper and replacing it with a lace up back and letting it out for me. She did all of the other necessary wedding alterations as well as sewing an additional layer to my mothers wedding veil all for under $900. This was by far the least expensive option I had ever seen for the many different things that go into alterations for a wedding dress including letting it out so much. To make it so much better she is the sweetest person and made me feel really wanted and cared for everytime I came in including the one time after I got married.Highly recommend!

She added a satin panel that looked like bloomers in my lace dress. Asu was able to remove it and create a beautiful lace back from scratch that matched my dress perfectly!

She fixed it up perfectly. She added missing buttons, fixed loose beads, tightened the top, added cups, added a bustle & shortened it. She had to cut the lace off the bottom & reattach it. Looked flawless. A little expensive but worth it. Loved the outcome.

Asu is PHENOMENAL. I recommend her SO highly. A family friend altered my wedding dress (my mistake) and when I picked it up & didn’t fit right at all and had messy hand stitching all over the bodice a week before my wedding, I frantically googled, found Asu, and called her in hysterics on a Saturday afternoon. Both my daughter and I are extremely happy and satisfied with our experiences with Asu these past several weeks. My daughter was literally distraught by the fact that her dress did not fit well just weeks before her wedding, so much so that she was getting really down on herself and her body image. Within minutes of meeting Asu, Asu not only convinced her that fixing the dress would be easy, Asu actually made my daughter feel pretty again and brought a real smile back to her face. When we picked up the dress a few weeks later, my daughter was absolutely radiant with pleasure. I am not a bride, but I do have a backpack that was ripping at the seam. This backpack has sentimental value and often carries upwards of 20 lbs of books.My fiancee called Asu and she said that it would be no problem. She charged a very fair price for the work and was able to fit me in immediately.Her store was simple and elegant. She was very kind, and quickly went to work. She ended up triple-stitching the busted seam in only 5 minutes. She was quite adamant that should anything happen to the backpack again, to bring it back to her and she would fix it for free. After talking with her, I found out she has many years of experience and has worked in Fort Wayne for quite some time at other shops. The experience shows with her skill and expediency.It was a great experience, and since her shop is relatively new, I felt compelled to write a review in her favor. Im so glad I found Asu to alter my wedding dress! She knew what I wanted even before I did! I came in asking her to remove the train because it felt too heavy, but she immediately suggested an alternate bustle that made it much lighter. Others might have simply listened to me and removed the train, but because of Asu I got to keep my train and have a comfortable dress 😁 This is just one example of how caring she is about her customers. Just finished the alterations of my wedding dress with Asu. She is wonderful! She had to take my dress in 4 times because I am so tiny and my dress was so big, but she made it work and it turned out beautifully. Before getting married, Asu had altered numerous bridesmaids dresses for me so it wasn’t a hard decision to take my wedding dress to her. Everything went well and she had no problems with changing little things that bugged me about my dress. If you want to be stress free and not worry about who is taking care of your wedding dress then go with Asu!

Asu is such a nice person to work with. Very friendly, and genuinely cares about her clients. She also worked hard to find a lace that would match my dress closely. However, the price quoted for the services to my wedding gown (bringing it in, adding sleeves, and a bustle) was very high! I was quoted $650. The shop also smelled terribly! After a few frustrating visits I called the bridal salon for information. I was surprised to find out they were way cheaper, and had the correct material. For the same services, plus steaming, pressing, and cleaning, they are charging only $161. I also have to have the gown professionally cleaned to remove the smell, and is being treated right now.

The appointment was quick and to the point which was great and my dress ended up fitting perfectly! Reasonably priced and good turnaround time. Would highly recommend!

I was sick during one appointment and she was so sweet, dabbing my forehead with a cold cloth and running back and forth to make sure I was okay. She is just a genuinely kind person and an amazing seamstress! My dress turned out beautifully and I couldn’t be more grateful for her!

Working with Asu was amazing. She got me in right away, made sure there was plenty of time for alterations and was so sweet and personable along the way. We picked up my dress and my moms a couple days before the wedding, pressed and ready to go. I recommended her to my MIL and a bridesmaid and all were happy!

I was so in love with what she did with my dress. I felt like a modern version of my late mom. She even sewed the pendant of one of my mom’s necklaces into the garter💕 she was so wonderful to work with. I had a brides maid dress that fit me very ill. The bust was up to my neck and the gapping was vast. The dress came very long as well! (The dress was over 300!) long story short when I came to get the dress it fit like a dream! She was able to fix the bust so I looked like a woman in it, and the length was perfect! She took the boning out of the bodice and put in some cups so I could wear the dress without a bra. And she charged a very reasonable price vs what other places have quoted me. Ill be back again!

If you are in search of someone to do alterations for wedding, prom, etc., I highly recommend Asu. She was so incredibly helpful to make sure everything was perfect for my big day. Asu was very thoughtful during the whole process, especially when I ran into issues of not being on time due to car troubles. Asu, Thank you. Thank you for taking the mess that a seamstress left behind, and turning it into a beautiful wedding dress just hours before my wedding. I was told by a different seamstress (that I paid $325 to alter my dress) that it looked fine. When really the cup sizes were way too big for me, I was falling out, the hips were hardly sown, she cut the material with jagged edges, and made the entire front 4 too short. Asu fixed all of this, and I will only go to her, and suggest her to everyone that will appreciate her. My dress is beautiful and fits just hours after I brought it to her, when last night I couldnt stop crying because of the mess my last seamstress left me with. Asu, I pray God bless you, your family, and your shop, for you have blessed me with beauty, happiness, and relaxation. Even in this situation i was not taken advantage of. I did not know how much it was going to be when i left. She could have charged anything, she knew Id pay it. But she was fair and kind. Thank you again, Asu!

Highly recommend! I was a bit worried about getting my wedding dress altered as the fit is so important not only for comfort but also for the overall look of the dress! Asu is AMAZING! She did all the alterations on my bridal gown. It turned out to be about two sizes too large and she made it fit like it had been made for me! She listened to all of my concerns and fixed them so quickly and competently that I ended up deferring to her opinion for the rest of my fittings. Asu was very professional and was so willing to accommodate my short timeline. My brothers wedding was 6 weeks postpartum and I needed to wait as long as possible to make adjustments to my bridesmaid dress. She did a wonderful job and did so in a timely manner. Not only was the pricing A THOUSAND TIMES MORE REASONABLE than local competitors, but the time frame “needed” to alter was also significantly shorter! We were able to get our dresses done in less than three weeks, & this wonderful little shop worked with all three of our schedules so we were able to come in together, once with three toddlers!
