As a home owner i do not recommend them... My neighbor had a technician out today... This man was so unprofessional... He cussed out my wife and myself in front of our 2 toddlers over about how i parked in front of my property... He had 6+ feet in front of his vehicle and 2 feet behind... It was uncalled for and again unprofessional... On top of it all he wasnt even servicing my home... If this is the way a tech treats probable customers... I suggest going elsewhere

Friday evening our oven went out completely then Monday morning I woke to find our refrigerator/freezer had completely gone out as well. It was so overwhelming! We had used Marks A-1 repair service in the past for our dishwasher and I remembered the service had been great so I immediately called at 8:00 when they opened. The dispatcher for repair was empathetic of our dilemma, took our information & had a service technician who I think was actually Mark himself call us back quickly. He fit us in that morning and was able to diagnose & repair the oven issue during that visit . The refrigerator/freezer needed to defrost for 24 hr so he made an appointment to return the next day at the same time . The following day he arrived promptly, efficiently diagnosed & repaired the problem with the refrigerator /freezer! Both days the work was completed so quickly ! I was then pleasantly surprised and actually amazed at the final cost for both repairs. Extremely fair prices ! I would highly recommend this business to anyone in need of appliance repair services! I will definitely use this business again should we have any other appliance issues. A huge thank you to Marks A-1 appliance! You ROCK!

Im very unhappy with their services. We paid 69.00 for them to tell us what is wrong with my GE washer. The washer was not spinning out the water.... Which he stated that he fixed.. And then he said we needed a new belt.. which he could not put on after a hour of trying... Our washer is still doing exactly the same thing we paid him to fix... Upset...

I bought four used appliances from Marks A-1 Appliance; a washer, a dryer, a gas oven and a refrigerator. I was first helped by Ann. She helped me measure the appliances in the store to find some that would fit through my small 28 door opening. She put some on hold for me while we waited for an oven to come available that would fit my home. I was looking for a gas oven with no glass door, probably not easy to find, and they had it!! They saved it for me and after I came to take a look at it I was sold. We set up a date for delivery. I had checked out a few other places in town and none of them had the selection, service or free delivery that Marks offered.All the appliances were delivered on the date we had agreed upon. Chris delivered them and had trouble fitting the washer and dryer down my tiny basement stairs. He called reinforcements and they had arrived by the time the oven was set up. Between the two guys, they got the washer and dryer down the stairs to the basement. They obviously knew what they were doing, and I was so glad my husband and I didnt have to figure that out ourselves!I had an issue with the gas stove leaking a little gas the first time I was using the oven and they came out and fixed it quickly and for free, as they also have a great 90 day warrantee on all of their used appliances. All four appliances work fantastically, and I couldnt be happier with them or with Marks! I will definitely call them in the future should I have any service issues or if I need a new (used) appliance! Cant say enough good things!

I went in planning to spend $175 or more on a dryer because mine went out. After talking to the gentleman we figured out i had a broken switch on my dryer just a $25 part plus labor. I saved so much money and my dryer is better than ever. Great customer service, honest people.

Was very dirty inside, dont even clean the appliances they are trying too sell. It was just dingy all the way round!

2nd Addendum: Increasing to 4*’s. Chris came out (nice guy) and I think the issue I had with the Fridge is fixed.Addendum: I am increasing my 1* review to 3*s as our third experience with Bruce was much better. He was more pleasant his third time out and got all the repairs accomplished.Original Review: The same grumpy repair guy came out twice so far (the second time with the wrong parts and failed to order parts I told him about the first time). The repair guy told me the broken parts on my refrigerator shelf (a load bearing part) didn’t matter. Hello? Yes it does. The only thing holding the shelf up is packing tape. He walked away from me mid sentence, as I was trying to explain. Being in a rush does not justify poor customer service.

I bought a washer and dryer here for my rental. Thought Id give them a try because they were local and have been in business for awhile. I paid 495. They had warranty so I thought for sure would at least run. I couldnt install the set immediately because I was remodeling entire apartment. When I finally was able to install one day past warranty the dryer wouldnt start. Owner came out said he fixed it, but entire dryer inside was falling out and screws were not even put in. My tenant then took liberty and called them out to fix thinking it was still under warranty. They came out and fixed then called me asking where to send the bill. I told him he could send bill but that I was frustrated. 1) he never quoted me price 2) why was the machine not fixed properly before selling it to me? The owner was arrogant. He does not stand by his products. For the price go buy something new with an actual warranty and with a store that will actually refund when something is faulty. I have already replaced the washer and dryer I had bought from them after only 3 months. Will never shop here ever again and I make sure to tell everyone A BUYER BEWARE BUSINESS.

These guys are the real deal. No frills buy very honest and hard-working. We were given the low down about different washer dryer units and which ones would best suit our needs. Didnt feel sold-to which was really nice. Installation wasnt easy due to our old house, but the guys were really great and got it done! Highly recommend to everyone.

At first I was happy to get a washer dryer set at a low price. Two years later the washer motor is out. To me this is a huge disappointment. I feel if you buy something like that you should get at least 5 years. New ones should last around 14 years. Buy new, save yourself time and money.

The man who I assume was the owner was so rude to his workers and didnt act like he even wanted my business. I was there to buy 2 appliances and spent almost $800. I felt so bad for the lady that had to work with that dude.

Bought from them years ago when I was living in town. Called to see if they had any portable dishwashers. Said they had 2. Ask about delivery since I do not live in town and was told yes but would be an extra charge. Go in and immediately told they wont deliver. Then another lady said maybe. Could not get answer. Ask if I could get help loading it if it would fit in back of my Escspe. Told no, they would not help.

Great repair service by owner operator makes all difference. We are dealing with Lowe’s and after 6 weeks and 2 deliveries we still don’t have a dryer that works. Going to A-1 tomorrow for some real Service.

This is my second time using Marks Appliance in the last few months. He has been quick to call back, able to help the same day and more than fair with his service.I would HIGHLY recommend using his company.We called for an oven that stopped working...and then most recently for a refrigerator that also stopped working :/ I hope we wont need him again any time soon but I love knowing I can call.

Mark just left after repairing my refrigerator AND showing me how to re-boot the circuit board myself if more problems. Its unusual for a technician to teach clients how the appliance works, how to troubleshoot problems, and even how to possibly fix it permanently. I had the same repair done 3 years ago by Wisman. Mark charged $87 LESS for the exact same fix with same new part.Also he fit me in less than 14 hours after I called for assistance. Mark is a low-key, friendly man whom I trust to do the job right and at very fair price.

Had a fantastic experience! Got in and out quick with a beautiful Frigidaire fridge, with the help of owner Bruce and veteran employee Jake, I got it delivered within the next couple days and it still works like a charm! Would highly recommend!

Best place in fort Wayne to get used appliances they have great warranties and always hold their word when it comes to fixing something.

The service professional was friendly, fast, and competent. Their $55 minimum visit flat fee is a bit unfair, considering their office is only 8 minutes away (google maps). He took just 20 minutes, and so along with a $10 labor fee, it worked out to $65 total service charge or $195/hour, which is a little obscene.
