Moved in two weeks ago from Denver Colorado and my apartment it’s a very nice and beautiful, it sucks only having one bathroom but other then that property staff are very nice, the apartment is nice and I love the flooring. The property manager was very understanding of me and my husband situation and she did the best to accommodate us we really appreciate what you did for my family. I recommend this Apartment complex.

Requested my AC unit be fixed a week ago (I just moved in a few days prior) They waited through one heat advisory. “Fixed it” and it broke days later. So they’re about to wait through a SECOND heat advisory. Office workers are in accessible, they never answer and I watched them ignore my phone call while sitting in front of the office. Beyond bs

They have been very patient with me especially from where I came from. The homes are beautiful and the staff is great and helpful. I give it a 4 only because my son closet door hasn’t been fixed since I got here and you can’t keep anything outside. Other than that I understand they want a clean and up kept community. Things I didn’t understand they helped with.

River Pointe Townhomes is doing great improvements through out the property.

Terrible customer service. Reported a maintenance issue, AC not working, and its been 7 days and still they insist that they have fixed the issue. Not sure why its taking forever but a week is enough time to fix an AC which is necessary to make it through the hot summer season.

I enjoyed my stay at Riverpointe, office staff are super polite and always willing to help I was homeless on the street and they helped me get a home and helped me get back on my feet Maintence men are always so nice when they come to my home I recommend this apartment

Just moved here mid March and so far I love it! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The townhome is up to date & just perfect. No loud neighbors, so quiet and peaceful. It’s so refreshing from where I just moved from. I recommend moving here.

Great place to live at, great kid park and friendly staff and a lot of new remodeled units.

Our ceiling caved in back in 2019 and this was the best fix they could do after 2 years. Completely unprofessional, lost peoples rent payments and threatened evictions first thing next week. Good luck getting anything fixed, nobody is ever in the office to talk to and emails get ignored. Do. Not. Come. Here.

Although River Pointe Townhomes is under new management, the change instills false hope. I was already reluctant to move in as the property manager showed me around. When I asked if the townhome I would be moving into has ever had any pest control issues, she responded with, It depends on your neighbors. Very reassuring. The area is also not the safest place to live. However, I was charmed by the promise of a quick move-in date and the option to pay extra to hold the townhome I wanted. After paying $150.00 total, I was approved a few days later and was told I would receive a welcome email. I never received any communication, in fact I attempted to call the office for almost a week with no answer. I showed up in person to speak with someone, anyone, about the townhome I had reserved. The property manager looked up my information and told me the townhome I had reserved was no longer available. I was then given a completely different move-in date than I was promised. This date was over a month difference than I had prepared for. I tried to explain my frustration in a calm manner. The property manager said nothing to ease the situation. When I asked for a full refund she raised her voice and spoke over me, becoming more and more angry as the conversation continued. She offered a $100.00 refund, not the full amount I had paid. I eventually ended our interaction by accepting her offer as I was feeling very uncomfortable being shouted at. The property manager claims that I will receive my refund within two weeks. I do not have the confidence this will actually happen, but we will see. As I walked out of the office a maintenance man apologized repeatedly for the property managers behavior, the most understanding and kind interaction I had in that whole situation. As he was apologizing, the property manager came out of the office to shoo the maintenance man along, telling him to go to lunch. Obviously I do NOT recommend renting from River Pointe Townhomes. New management, horrible customer service skills. Save yourself the headache!

Have not had any problems here. The maintenance people fix things promptly and are very helpful. The last 2 maintenance people were Rod and Jacob, I believe. Would recommend these apartments

I love my upgrades :) finally a new owner who cares. All my maintenance issues have been done and the staff actually talk to you . I’mNot going anywhere ..... loving this

Staff is excellent very helpful. I just wish they had a half bath downstairs. If people would pick up after them self this place would be perfect.

The staff is friendly and respectful. The property is clean, they have a park for the kids, they keep up on their landscaping. I enjoy being a part of the community.

Great place to raise my family & Great staff!

Having issues with our neighbors with a large Bluetooth speaker blasting music being loud and disruptive ever since we moved in, and has gotten worse since it has gotten nice outside. There is a string of at least 10 adults in and out of the building with 4-6 kids living in the building depending on custody agreements etc. My main concerns have been safety with groups of large scary men congregating outside my door when I am coming home, and they are smoking (all ten plus of them which is nearly constant) which is seeping into my house due to no seal left on the doors which they claimed to have completely renovated before move-in. I have emailed and called to complain about these neighbors but nothing has changed and I cannot seem to get ahold of a human. I’d at LEAST like to get our seal replaced on our door so that I don’t have cigarette smoke coming into my house. I am currently (at 11:15pm on Memorial Day) watching the cops thru the window and have video of an altercation that looks like a male female domestic violence concern with one of the guests or people who lives with these neighbors. Hopefully this is something that will actually be resolved now that this review is public.

Outstanding property and friendly environment would recommend

They have been towing cars out of the apartment complex without giving notice on top of if you get caught changing fuilds or washing your car you will get it towed. They said they dont want their complex looking bad but instead of replacing broken windows they just come and board them up which makes the apartments look bad. They told me certain things in my apartment would be Fixed in a timely fashion and I had to call repeatedly to remind them things needed to get done. I ten out of ten do not recommend this place.

The townhouses have so much space and dont cost an arm and a leg, staff is super nice and maintenance keeps up on repairs, great place

Air-conditioning hasnt worked in 2 months they keep saying it will be fixed soon and it still doesnt work! How soon is soon gonna be?

I have lived here for 5 years now. They are slow and many times unresponsive to maintenance requests. They will not allow any kind of property outside your apartment even if its just off to the side of your door and will throw it away with little to no warning but they discriminate they will throw my small grill but will not throw away my neighbors kids bikes yet if we left our bikes outside chained to a pipe theyd throw them away. They are cheap but not too cheap for fort wayne. If you bother the office enough eventually they will do something about any issue you are having.

My husband and I have been trying to apply for a month. Weve called multiple times because our application wont go through and each time weve been told someone will call us back. And no one has. Saying Im disappointed is an understatement.

First off F*** these one star reviews, given some neighbors arent the best but not always will you get Happy Gilmore as a neighbor. The staff is on point I have so much respect for them me and my lady with our six month daughter are happy and safe here and when something breaks the guys will be out the very next day to fix it no problem. Most time people respect the parking situation but no one is perfect if your looking for a good place come on over some of these one stars are from people who are just ignorant its cheap and affordable I live in a 3 bed townhouse and were only moving eventually because work if we could stay longer we so would.

The new management in the office is amazing! They seem to care about their residents much more than the last company did. The property is staying much cleaner and I see grounds people out daily, even in the snow picking things up! I have seen the updates they are always busy doing to many places at once through the property on the inside and the outside. It is amazing what this new company has done to turn around Chapel Oaks. Calling into the office is much more enjoyable, as I have experienced that all 3 people are so caring. Matt the manager and the two leasing Amanda and Cara always have a smile on their face and make it clear they are on your side. They raised the rent up a little bit, but their reasons are very justifiable if you have seen what the property and people looked like before this new company. I am very happy with everything.

DONT DO IT! Its seriously really bad I wish they would let us give 0 stars already. 20 year old girl got shot and killed here the other day, wouldnt reccomend living here if you got kids. The whole place smells like weed. Trash everywhere all the time. Bunch of drunks roaming the parking lot yelling. If youre a young college student looking for cheap dont do it. This is literally the hood and its gang infested. Place is infested with bedbugs. They literally have a guy come twice a week the place has bugs so bad. Found bedbugs in the living room day one. Its cheap for a reason. When the place was freshly painted when moved in they painted the BATH TUB with non waterproof paint. The bath is constantly chipping and disgusting because of it. They painted over stickers and hairs on the wall... real classy. The moving in process was seriously unprofessional too. Just dont. Never again.

Stay far away from Chapel Oaks. For the place to be under new management, they do a terrible job at managing the property. There is always trash all over, there are insect and rodent problems that you have to pull teeth to even get acknowledged, and the tenants and complaints you will have about them will go on deaf ears. Long story short don’t waste your time or money, what you think is a deal on rent, turns out to be a hassle in real life!

Management is awful they are adding charges without telling the residents only notice is on a late payment notice just moved in shower had tiles falling off the washer drain is clogged the window is broken and there are tons of small problems

Absolutely terrible

Lured by the recent decent reviews of new management, I called on Monday and scheduled a tour on Friday. One hour before my tour at the end of the week, they call me and tell me my tour is canceled because they already gave the room away. They then ignored my three subsequent calls and refused to return my voicemail. Their website still says they have 4 rooms available for that size. Waste of time.

I cannot believe how much this property has turned around for the better! I have grown up in Fort Wayne for most of my life, and am aware of the reputation that Chapel Oaks has accrued over the last few decades. I recently checked out a few different options a the property, and learned that both of the ladies in the office are so welcoming and knowledgeable and make sure to address all your needs. They were wonderful! And when we walked around the property to check out a few different floor plans, I learned about all the improvements they have and are making all over. this property has come such a long way! Its so clean and quiet and it never used to be like that at all! Inside their apartments are absolutely beautiful! It had been a few years since I been inside one, but when I walked in there, and saw how updated they have made these units, I was beside myself when I found out the prices!!! And to make it even better, theres childcare, a library, a YMCA, laundry, convenience shops, and all kinds of stuff within walking distance and then you got downtown just around the corner. I cant wait to move in here. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, you need to check this place out.

The employee that I was working with was TERMINATED for THEFT (this information was provided to me by the property manager Jenny R. and a front-office employee).I am currently being given the run-around about returning my money--because as one could imagine, I HAVE ZERO DESIRE TO LIVE IN THE PROPERTY. The terminated employee now has my full SSN, bank account information, and literally anything that is on a rental application. They did not offer to provide a credit monitoring service, I had to request this... which as of yet, has not been provided.Do yourself a favor and do your homework!!! Sometimes cheap prices are too good to be true! This has literally all transpired prior to moving-in, who knows what would have happened after signing a lease.*****This is my personal experience, yours may vary. ******

These apartments are trash. Been living here since August of 2017! The ladies in the office was unprofessional and took them forever to process my application. As soon as I went in the office and demanded my money back then that’s when they became invested and apologetic and ultimately I ended up signing my lease the same day. Overall I gave my apartment a 8/10 because I had new appliances(stove & refrigerator) carpet was also new and a fresh paint job. However, it was the small things that bugged me like window screens was either torn or missing. Heat & air ducts was very nasty and filled with trash. My garbage disposal did not work and my dishwasher was Leakey and had an oder. in the beginning they were prompt and respectful and fixed most the issues. The area I lived in was nice a respectable there was little to no drama. But as soon as this new company took over they rent to all of these ratchet people with lots of kids and adults living in one apartment. My biggest issue was that I never had a rodent problem because I make sure my place in alway clean inside and out. There has been rats running around this summer while kids are out front playing that’s not safe. Better not leave your door open to catch a breaze or the rats will be in your apartment. Also there are a lot of bad a** kids running around with no home training idk about you but if u want a nice relaxing environment this is not itBut my neighbors are nasty 🤢 and there is so way it should be more than 4 kids and 5 adults living in a 2 bedroom. And this new management does not care if u tell them you have issues they disregard them and if u have a maintenance request good luck becaus they will never show up and when they do it’s usually during awkward times or they don’t fix anything! I don’t like/trust maintenance at all and I would rather be home when they enter my apt. Also, the new company raised the rent and have added all of these ridiculously high late fees and at this point I regret signing a new lease!! IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CHAPEL OAKS BECAUSE THEY DONT RESPECT TENANTS AND ITS ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH WHAT THEY ARE ASKING FOR!!

PSA: DO NOT rent from these people! They are trying to scheme people. At the time i viewed the apt and applied I was told my rent would be 600... when i received my lease through email the rent on the lease was increased. I questioned her about it she then told me the rent increased and that i couldnt get the apt for 600. I didnt agree on that She then said she would have the manager call me about it. After waiting a couple days for a call i never received i called and was told the same thing. I decided to go to their office because i knew it wasnt right. After going back and forth with the manager he agreed on the 600. So then all of a sudden my deposit increased by $200. i was told a couple days earlier it was 960 now its 1160. I asked her why did it go up she said shes sorry and that she miscommunicated. After going back and forth about it with with her and the manager present i decided not move there. BEWARE! STAY AWAY!

So glad they got new owners. One of the new people cara in the office said they are going to be putting in a new playground and painting. Im kinda looking forward to the new things they are doing.
