Really the best place to take your vehicle! Brad is fair and honest and lets you know exactly what you need to do now and what can wait! We have had nothing but a great experience with Baiers!
I needed my brakes done on my 17 Passat. Brad communicated with me via email and broke down options and pricing. He showed me my old parts and talked me through the work he completed. He is very friendly and professional and have already recommended him.
This was the best auto shop I have ever been to. My repairs were reasonable and completed on time. The repairs were thoroughly explained to me in advance and I have a better understanding of how my vehicle will continue to perform for much longer. The office staff is top notch and I was made to feel as though they valued my business and respected my time. Very professional and neighborly.
We have a 2005 Volvo with 160,000 miles. We expected repairs to be part of the plan into the future. We love the car and made a big mistake going to a shop in Navarre that had no experience. $90.00 later we were told nothing was wrong after steering fluid was pouring out of the pump. We found Baiers, and after one phone call we took Simon in. The steering pump was shot, and the new breaks in San Diego we had installed were done wrong which caused major damage. Brad and Al put the plan together and found parts, expedited delivery, replaces the head lamps for half the cost and replaced a few other parts we could not even find. We can only say that the service, great workmanship and communication were outstanding. The price was half the dealership had estimated. Five Star all the way!!!!! See you guys in the future. Jim & Janie
This is my first review of Baiers Auto Time; although Ive took both of my cars here a few times already. Brad and Al have been great on servicing my vehicles on each occasion. Great service and quality work. Thank you so much for getting me back on the road!
Called their office on a Friday morning to try and get a new skid plate installed because my previous skid plate was dragging on the ground. Unbelievably helpful, patient and responsive when working with me to fit my car in that day. Once I came in with my car they were very polite and quick with the installation--they even offered me water while I waited. Truly impressed with their customer service and their knowledge of maintenance, definitely earned a repeat customer!
My experience at Baiers Auto time has met beyond expectations. I was on vacation and my AC was having some issues. I looked up a ac repair shop and this is where I came. As I walked through the door, I was greeted by Brad. Very nice and respectful man. Ask some questions about my problem and explained to me his expert thought. Pulled my vehicle in his shop and ran a diagnosis and came back and explained everything to me and the process of how to fix it. It was taken care of and I was on my way. If you ever have car trouble and want honest work, this is hands down the most informed and professional ran place I have ever been to. He honors and respects the military and veterans. I cant thank him enough for his service that he provided me. Dont have a bad experience with other shops, just come here and get it done right the first time. Thanks Brad.
Baiers will give it to you straight...our experience with them is that they are honest and if you do what they tell you needs to be done, your car will continue to function. Baier is a knowledgeable, experienced mechanic who is not out to rip you off. Hope to continue to use his services for many years to come.
Brad has taken exceptional care of my vehicle. The AC was completely overhauled by Brad at the Baiers shop last summer and he used only quality parts with warranties. Today I took the car back in with concerns about the AC again and it was fixed same day under warranty and they handled all of the claim process ($0 cost to me). He always takes time to explain any repairs and gives me copies of readouts from diagnostic scans preformed while my cars in the shop.Long story short or tldr version:If you care about your vehicle and want quality work done by honest, and experienced mechanics. Go to Baiers.
Great establishment with spot-on diagnosis. Extremely friendly, nice, and honest. They have my business...
Delightful experience! My car had been overseas and had not been serviced in a while except for oil checks. Brad thoroughly inspected everything in the car following the factory-recommended services for different time intervals. In the end, he charged me only for oil change and tire rotation, without taking advantage and charging for things I didnt need! While they worked on the car, they even gave me a ride home and back later to pick up the car. Im looking forward to my next service. Its really nice to have an auto shop that does excellent work and is also honest!
I’ve dealt with many rude mechanics over the years, but I have never been insulted over the phone for asking a simple question. You are correct, you haven’t done business with me, because whoever answered my phone call insulted me. Why would I give you business?
Took my truck here with a squeaking in the back. The owner was a former Nissan mechanic and knew exactly what was going on with my truck. I myself am a mechanic but time constrictions required me to take my truck to someplace to get fixed. Very helpful. Kept me informed with all the repairs that were needed and didnt try to up-sell me to anything that wasnt needed. I would recommend this place to anybody from big-time maintenance to things as simple as an oil change. Will definitely be coming back for anything that I need.Couldnt be happier!!
I have taken all of my vehicles to Brad and Al since 2010...I own a 2019 Toyota Tacoma Truck and a 2015 Jeep Wrangler..bottomline: I do not trust the dealers with my vehicles...Brad gladly took my 2015 Jeep in, immediately ran a car history on it, and goes by the manufacturers maintenance interval sheet when I take it in to him...in fact, I had a recall on the Jeep last year, for the right side airbag...I took it to Jeep Crestview, they replaced the airbag and sent me on my way...the next time I took the Jeep into Baiers Auto Time for an oil/filter change, Brad not only changed the oil/filter, rotated the tires, but he also ran a diagnostic on the entire system...he discovered that the right stereo speaker was faulty...when he dug a little deeper, he took out the glove compartment, and discovered that the Jeep dealership disconnected the speaker to replace the airbag, but did not reconnect it afterwards...talk about more fodder to reconfirm my distrust in dealerships...thanks Brad for upholding my trust...As for my 2019 Toyota Tacoma? Despite the fact that it is still on warranty, I take it even now to Baiers for oil/filter changes every 5,000 miles (Toyota insists on changing the oil/filter every 10,000 miles, which seems illogical to me because of the viscosity breakdown after 7,000 miles), and will take it to Brad for all work once the warranty expires after 40,000 miles...
Took a used car by for inspection and Brad was very friendly and articulate. He took a lot of time going over the carfax and explaining what it meant and any possible concerns. After his inspection he spent 30 minutes going over the detailed inspection and answered all of our questions. Using his inspection we were able to get the dealer to come down on the price more then what the inspection cost us. The inspection also gave us the confidence that we had a good car even though it was older and had many miles. Would definitely recommend his services for anyone needing a car reviewed before buying!
I recently took my car to Baier’s Auto Time to get both the brakes and the tires replaced. With the number of miles accumulated, I knew I was coming due. Chris verified that my tires not only needed to be replaced, but also that one was downright unsafe. They gave me a quote for exactly what I needed and nothing more: a fair price. The work was done quickly, Brad and Chris took care of me, and my car once again has great traction, quiet ride, and silent/effective braking. I’ll definitely return to Baier’s for future service knowing that they are a shop that I can trust.
Very Professional and honest! I will return. I called on Black Friday after traveling on Thanksgiving to see if they would be able to flush my clutch out. They told me they werent really open today but they would be willing to do it if I stopped by. While there I addressed some of my transmission concerns due to issues I had with a previous shop messing up my clutch and trying to make me pay for a water pump when I had no leaks a couple of days prior. Not only did they flush my system, they gave me the rundown on my potential transmission issue I may run into in the future. They also looked into my cooling system to verify there were no leaks. For a shop that was technically closed for the day, they bent over backwards in assisting me, which is more than what I could say for some other shops in the area. Ill definitely use them again in the future.
We were here on vacation when our 2015 a/c went out! We went here because of the reviews. Needless to say, the werent wrong! They explained the reasons why the issues happened & demonstrated with parts they had in display. Then the proceed NOT TO CHARGE us because for for the inspection because they couldnt help us within the allotted time we had left on vacation!!! They told us what to look for in a mechanic in order to keep our vehicle manufacture warranty! NOW THATS SERVICE!!!! I wish were had more time, because for that type of service Im willing to pay! These guys are GREAT!!!!
Brad and his team have demonstrated integrity and its obvious how much pride they have in their work. Their team does a great job at diagnosing and explaining any of my car problems in an easy to understand way. Baiers Auto Time now has all of my familys auto-repair business and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an auto-repair shop.
I found Baiers Auto Time by accident...called them thinking it was a different shop. Best wrong number I ever dialed! Brad and Chris are accomplished mechanics and kept me informed on the progress being made with emails and pictures of their work. I was impressed with the time they took ensuring I understood everything done to my cars. After work on two different cars, I wont take mine or my kids cars anywhere else. It’s great to run across honest people who do great work.
Brad and his brother did an awesome job! My Jeep was shipped back over from England where they did a “light conversion.” After numerous electrical issues which eventually lead to the Jeep not starting, Brad was able to diagnose all the areas that were affected by the “light conversion” and fix it days prior to a few month long work trip. Once I came back and hopped into the Jeep it started up like new.
Awesome service! Took my car here and Brad gave me his honest opinion about my car. I appreciated his honesty! I would highly recommend this place. Very professional.
My Granddaughter was having a problem with her steering. After a unhappy experience with the local Ford dealer, I sent her to Baiers.Best choice we could have made. I live 300 miles away and had to rely on the honesty and integrity of the folks at Baiers. We were very satisfied with the outcome, we could not made a better choice. Baires has all of our business from now on. Thank You....
To the community of Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Niceville, Crestview, and Navarre Florida:My name is Anthony John Baier and I wholeheartedly approve of my Fathers business as to his fair pricing, quality of work, and respectful customer service. The business has been in my family for several decades now, and by the grace of God, my Dad has endured and persevered through many traumatic trials that have been an immense testimony to me of what it means to be a husband, a father, a provider and a business owner. You may find more contemporary buildings, different economical options, and similar hard work ethic elsewhere; but what you will rarely find in this area is an honest Automotive business with the diligence, integrity and loyalty to each individual client as Baiers Auto Time has. Should you choose to receive quality service from the thorough men and women who work here to help you, you will once again drive away with the peace of mind and thankfulness for not simply a business, but for the faithfulness of a friend.May heart and character be your dividing line from empty appearance and counterfeits.Sincerely,A. J. Baier
We were in Fort Walton on vacation, our car air conditioner started going out and draining water into the car. Mr. Baier took us right away, explained what was wrong and how to use the air conditioner correctly - we had only had our car for 10 days. We are so thankful for the kindness of strangers and the true southern hospitality shown to us by this family owned business. Thank you and My God continue to bless yall!!The Hester FamilyFort Payne, AL
Brad and his group are TOP NOTCH!! Brad performs all the maintenance on all of my familys vehicles and has been doing so for over 4 years. Brad is fair on his pricing and honest with his customers. If there is a needed repair Brad will explain the repairs to you in lay-mans terms to give you peace of mind .
Great mechanics. They installed aftermarket springs on my van an had fair pricing. Will return for any other repairs or services.
Always willing to go up and beyond to help with any and every vehicle repair. Highly recommend.
I had my car repaired here last month. They did an awesome job and explained to me clearly what needed to be done to my car. I recommend anyone who is stationed at Hurlburt Field to avoid the on-base Firestone car repair. Firestone tried over charging me for stupid stuff... anyways I recommend everyone to check out this repair shop. thanks.
Wow, I found their business on the Internet and all the reviews were positive, so I called and I took it in. The a/c was out due to an accidental puncture of a hose assembly. I caused this puncture it was done by me so I knew the service I needed. Mr. Baier did too. He got to work and got the job done. No hassle, easy to work with. My a/c is ice cold. Thank you Baiers Auto Time.
Found Baiers Auto Time online. Set an appointment for this morning, met Brad at the shop. I could not be more impressed. Fantastic experience. Highly recommend! Will use them again!
I took my wifes like-new car to Brad (owner) after the dealership couldnt find what was wrong. Brad understood and explained the problem to me over the phone, and gave me a no-nonsense quote. Not only was the car fixed several days early, but cheaper than quoted, and way cheaper than the dealer! On top of that, they caught a few mistakes made by the dealer as well.Since they did such a great job on my wifes car, I dropped off my 10-yr old VW for some much needed TLC. Again, Brad was incredibly thorough, caught several mistakes from past repair jobs and gave me several recommendations and a very reasonable price.Brad and his team are polite, military-friendly, and experts at what they do. I plan to go to Baiers as long as Im in the area and recommend them to others as well.
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the outstanding customer service that I received during the month of Feb and Mar 2016 from Brad and his team of professionals. Brad briefed me on services provided and had many visuals up in the shop to better acquaint not only me but customers on major operating parts of an automobile. The shop was clean and maintained professionally. The staff was always busy servicing vehicles. I would recommend them to anyone in the area looking first class professional service! Keep up the good work and I will definitely be brining my other vehicles to this shop for servicing in the future. The vehicle they serviced was my 2006 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T. This shop gives you piece of mind and I would highly recommend it to women who need to feel at ease and not intimidated by an auto repair shop. This is the shop I would recommend to my wife if repairs were needed and I was out of town. First impressions always leave a lasting impression and I would like to say THANK YOU for superb and exemplary customer service. Sincerely, David James
Weve been using Baiers Auto Time for out car repairs and tires for over 8 years. We drive from Destin to Fort Walton Beach because we know that everything will be done correctly the first time. Brad and Chris are knowledgeable, honest and friendly. They never perform unnecessary work, the price is always fair and the service is fast.
Thought I was saving time by having my tires shipped from Tire Rack directly to them and they seemed to have decent reviews. Unfortunately they ended up wasting my time completely.Let me begin by saying I know I missed the tentative appointment we had made for Wednesday or Thursday because I’m in the Air Force and work came up. I don’t always have cell service and by the time I got off they were closed. Being next to a military base, you’d think they’d understand. With that said, I showed up Friday first thing in the morning and was greeted by them as soon as they knew who I was with “Oh, you must be the guy who doesn’t know how to read emails.” Yes, I don’t check my personal email that often. Either way, to insult your customers first thing seems like bad business. But I wanted my new tires and wheels put on so I continued.I did not realize their business was so small with only one machine that can do tire changes. If your looking for timely service, this is not the place. So they inform me there’s a car ahead of me, I understand, and that it would take 5 hours. I offer to come back in 5 hours, they then inform me that if I don’t leave me car there that there is no guarantee they will get to it when I come back. So I’m weighing my options at this point. If they had simply said we can’t get to it today, can we reschedule for next week, I would have been perfectly ok with that, it was my fault I couldn’t make it earlier and I get that.Around then the guy from inside the bay comes inside and says, oh, your the guy with the messed up lug nuts. He starts complaining about how he’s gonna have to fight to take them off and probably need to use an air chisel and cut the studs. A little excessive if you ask me considering I had the lugs off a week prior to do my brakes, I had just made the comment over the phone while making the appointment that the lugs were the cruddy Ford ones with the chrome caps that get messed up, but lucky for them I have new lugs to put on after the old ones come off. I told them as a slight heads up without realizing how much they would complain about it. Mind you, this is literally their whole business, to remove and put wheels and tires back on. But he’s complaining to me on and on about how difficult these lug nuts were gonna be. I finally tell them, you know what, I’ll go back to my house and take the old ones off and put the new ones on myself since it appears to be too difficult for them. And their response, “Oh that would be great.” It was at this point in time I lost all confidence in their abilities. They were willing to let a paying customer to the job for them. That is insane. The word incompetent comes to mind faster than capable does when it comes to them. The correct response from them after talking about the lugs nuts should have been “Don’t worry about that, we’ll take care of it, that’s our job.” but instead the acted like they couldn’t do it or didn’t want to do it when I know I can do it in my own garage let alone a place of business designed to do that very job. I’ve never seen a business not want my money that much. This coupled with their rudeness, I had had enough and asked if I can just take my tires and go somewhere else which they kindly oblige. But I can’t just take them since I’ve got the new rims already loaded in my car. I have to drive 30 minutes back to Crestview, drop off my rims, drive 30 minutes back to pick up the tires, and drive 30 minutes back to Crestview. Let that sink in for a moment, I was more willing to waste an hour and a half driving back and forth to my house then let these people work on my car. To sum it up, no, it didn’t save me time by having the tires shipped directly to them. I now have to wait another week to get my new tires and rims and put on by another place. 100% would not recommend and would never go back. Btw, it took me all of 15 minutes to change the lugs myself in my garage, a shorter amount of time than they complained about it.
They said I needed my rotators sanded down with new brake pads. I told them I didnt hear the brake indicators and I already had a friend who can do that for me for cheap being as I just spent over $800 on tires I couldnt afford another $600 for brakes and rotator work. I ended up smelling something shady and after I got my truck back a few days later I took my truck to my friend, and as I thought the brake pads were low but nothing was wrong with rotators. So basically they lied and are con artists. When I left there they had a snide attitude because I refused to believe them on the rotators and wouldnt you know it took them 3 more days just to put on my tires and 3 weeks after I left there my transmission broke down. Was said there was brass in the transmission. I would say dont go here.
Brad Baier and his crew offer a very friendly and professional service. They have taken care of our vehicles for years. We are very satisfied and would recommend them.
If there was 10 stars, Brad would deserve all 10. Hes simply the best. He took care of several issues in the front and rear suspension of my 2004 Volvo XC90, including things done wrong by another repair shop. Brad will get all of my future business
Helped me out big time. Had car trouble on the way to pick up my kid and they helped me out with a quick fix for free. I intend to do all of my automotive business through Baiers in the future!
Great experience working with honest people that provide a high quality service for a reasonable price.
Being a fellow business owner its nice to be able to refer people with confidence to another repair shop if needed.
Car was towed in to get inspected found out that my compressor had locked up. I got a call that it would be 1500 to fix. I was in progress to let him do it but then I thought about it and called back and told him Ill get it towed back home. I ended up letting my Dad mechanic do for a total of 450! This place is over priced!!
Simply the best - I will never go anywhere else with my car.
Extremely pleased with Brad and the team at Baiers! Not only did they research and coordinate hard to find runflat Bridgestone tires for my corvette (with separate sizing for front and back), they also explained all the rating systems...and they did all of this even before I decided to utilize their shop.I got job bids from 4 different places after researching tires and specs online for hours before calling, around and Baiers was the only place to go into details on everything, making sure I understood all aspects of the purchase beforehand. They werent the cheapest, they were simply the best quality for the price. They have high-end equipment as not to damage your vehicles rims and stay current with the latest technology, educate you on every step of the process by leaving you detailed phone messages along the way so that you understand timelines, and even coordinated my alignment so that I didnt have to make separate appointments. True customer service and honesty here doing business the way it should be done with the customer being placed first.I recommend them in the highest regard, and will be back on my next purchase.
My only regret is that I did not find Brad Baier sooner. I took my 14 VW Sportwagen in for its 40k periodic maintenance/servicing and he took a great deal of time explaining what he looked for and what his assessments were. He and his team did an incredible job, the car is running beautifully. Its refreshing to find a true professional as dealers these days pencil whip everything or nickel and dime you for every little thing. His brother Al was also super helpful and gave me a ride back to my house while the car was in work. I cant recommend enough to anyone in the fort Walton area a better local mechanic. He also warranties his work through Napa as well.
This place is awesome the owner Brad was extremely helpful and a true professional. This business is extremely military-friendly.
Baiers did an an excellent job identifying and fixing the problem with my car for a reasonable price.
I just wrote up a lengthy glowing review on Brad Baiers website. This one will be a bit shorter. Im not only happy, Im borderline evangelical about their service.Im a picky, hard to please so and so with two 13+ year old cars....a 99 Jeep Wrangler (wifes low maint dream car-lucky me) and my 01 Audi Allroad (other end of the spectrum - high maint). But I love my old Audi.Brad will treat you right. Period. Seriously...Im sure there are other very good mechanics in a small town - however, I had trouble finding one in Destin. And if you havent found one yet, stop looking. Call Brad. Whether its your baby or your workhorse, your vehicle will be in good hands.
I recently went to Baiers Auto Time to get a 40K scheduled maintenance on my VW Jetta TDI. While I would consider myself a home mechanic, the 40k service is fairly involved so I wanted to leave it to the professionals. Brad was very thorough and helpful as we went over what the 40k maintenance included, and quoted me $499 for the whole deal (visible inspection, rotating tires, battery, fluids, brakes, etc., oil and fuel filter change, and a transmission flush). Brad determined that I did not need the transmission flush, and that the fuel filter would be much less than the original quote. Somehow, my total still came to over $500. Thats $500 for a simple inspection, rotating tires, an oil change, and a fuel filter change. This is a NAPA AutoCare Center, and according to NAPAs service estimator, the maximum price for these services should have been $258, which is half of what I was charged. After further research, I learned that the transmission fluid is not the kind that he stated, and that this is a crucial service that should have been performed, and still needs to be done! Also, he stated that nails were removed from my tires and that the TPMS was reset, but by the time I got home (less than 4 miles away), the TPMS had gone off again and there is still a nail in one of my tires. Amazing odds, right? Will NOT be going back.
Very good and real caring attitude
Quick friendly fast service
Awesome
