Joined about a month ago and I love it. My last gym membership was at golds gym over 30 years ago. Planet Fitness is nothing like that gym but they have tons of machines for resistance and cardio and a good selection of dumbbells. The staff have always been helpful and nice and the gym is very clean. Anyone can get a awesome workout here and I got the $10 a month membership. You cant beat that. Its a win win for me. Two thumbs up

I have gone to this gym for 2 years now. I have always liked this gym but the fact the gym is STILL not open 24 hours just boggles my mind. Most people work out 3 to 5 days a week. I work during the day and have to workout at night. Thats the whole reason I joined this gym. When I heard the gym was going to be open 24 hours again I was happy but extremely annoyed after seeing it was only Monday to Thursday.I dont see any reason, other than money, why this gym is still not open 24 hours all week long. Even if it was 24 hours on Friday it would save me a lot of headache.I dont see how I am being charged full price, or any of your other members for that matter, when the original 24 hour 7 days a week gym is no longer that.

Clean facility. Helpful staff, all you have to do is ask. Hours are awesome. Enjoy going.

I join this gym with the pretense that this was a 24/7 gym. They even have a big 24/7 sign on the outside of the building. I went there a couple time and it was closed. I just thought it was closed due to covid-19 special hours. Finally one of the member there told me they closed early on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.The question is why have a 24/7 sign if you are not 24/7. This is very miss leading and since I am not a black card member and under contract for one year. Is this not false advertising?

Great place for your workouts! Equipment is very nice and well maintained. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and always friendly. Love my overall experience every time Im here. Extremely pleased to call this my go to gym!

I am very happy with going here! There are some of the staff(Cody Bunch) that has been there for as long as Ive been going. I love most of the free weights, just wish there were a cpl of other things. I love that I see the same ppl all week long at the time I go. Ive made several long term friendships since going here.Its always clean & now with extra precautions needed right now, the staff are ALWAYS cleaning the machines & the free weight racks.

I have been a black card member for almost 5 years and until recently had no problems. On April 27th a fairly new employee named Nathan refused to allow me to workout at this facility. I dont like Apps on my phone and in the past I have signed in on the total body check-in sheet (which I did on this date) and then an associate would activate the 12-minute time for me which they must do since its behind the counter. Nathan refused to allow me entry if I didnt download their app or sign in with a keytag. When I asked to see the corporate Planet Fitness policy stating such he couldnt provide it. Working as a nurse I dont have a lot of time to even work out and feel that this location is not very welcoming if youre not tech savvy.

Great place I got a membership

I walked in and was banned for life for not wearing a mask. Horrible place for a gym membership. Always extremely crowded. Stay far away from this place.

You would be better than Dalton if your tanning beds blew cold air instead of hot air. Other than that this is my favorite location around. Way better than Chattanooga.

Poor maintenance department, not as clean as the Lee Hwy location. The staff is usually friendly though their compotence is hit and miss.

I love planet fitness. Im a black Card member ( free tanning, massages, etc) but usually have a problem with the weekend night staff. Theres a younger guy and a dark headed girl that are unhelpful and just plain rude. If it wasnt for those two staff members I would give this place five stars for sure. I havent had a problem with any other one in Chattanooga

Wish yall were open 24/7 all week like other planet fitnesss are now. Opening later and closing earlier on Fri and Sat makes me have to go to another gym on those days...

Planet fitness, Ft. O is the best. The staff is awesome. Special thx to Arthur. Always greets me and my daughters by name and always up beat and friendly.

I was harassed and stare down until I put my mask on by a girl named Katie. About 10 minutes later I’m signing in for A massage chair and a young guy walks in no mask and she never said one word to him. Meanwhile they have employees standing next to their manager not wearing a mask!

The hours are a joke. Why be open less hours to have more people in a smaller time frame. Especially when half the machines are not being used. You need more time to spread people out evenly and efficiently. Covid has nothing to do with employees not wanting to work late Friday thru Sunday.

Love this gym so Im giving 5 stars. But i want to say this to the other guests. If youre running on the treadmill wearing a mask thats cool. Do you. But dont glare at me because i wont cut off my O2 while Im getting my sweat on. If youre that concerned you shouldnt be at a gym. Also for the love of God stop sitting on the machines playing on your phones not working out! (Especially in the circuit training spot) why are you here? You can play on your phones at home bruh. Anyway... Best planet fitness location ive been to. Its clean, staff are mostly friendly, nice equipment.

I got the deal where your first month is like a dollar or something and then they charged me a full price a few days later. I would have worked that out but the blonde girl at the front in the mornings is so rude and condescending. She talks to the customers like theyre beneath her. Its hard enough to walk into a place to workout let alone getting stared down and talked down to by staff. Dont know her name, dont care because I am cancelling.

Its a great gym. Everyone is friendly and for the most part welcoming. Unfortunately the hours have changed. I have been to quite a few of these gyms and some are opened 24hrs. Makes it difficult to use the gym and be ready for work if you go in early.

Great gym, always friendly and I go here everyday. Im hoping the 7-7 weekend hours are only for COVID related cleanings. I work on weekends until 6 p.m. and unfortunately cant use the gym by the time I get off. Hopefully once this is over it will be a 24/7 facility again!

The ft.oglethorpe location is a lot cleaner. The showers are a lot bigger than Lee hwy location and the water pressure is a lot better.

I just got charge when I thought my account was canceled. Come to find out it was frozen, but I’m out of the money I need for phone bill now. I didn’t get any emails to tell me about this or when I thought it was cancel no one told me to look for an email. I feel it was poor communication on Planet Fitness for me not to receive this information when I went in become Covid, and for them to send me a email about if it was frozen that it would start back up.

Place is dirty and stinks, tanning beds are absurd they smell terrible and are so scratched they need replaced, also rude staff some not but most are.

Really enjoy Planet Fitness. It is so much more than a place to lift weights or run on the treadmill. This place is super helpful on my fitness journey. They have a large selection of workout equipment that is conveniently located. I enjoy the personal trainer classes as well as the themed circuits in store at no additional charge.

Only PF in the area not back to being open 24/7. Really dont understand the change anyways. Cant really blame it in Covid because you are crowding the same amount if people into less time.

It was disappointing to see all of the workers had their backs turned to the customers and to me. If they dont even say hi or Hope you have a great rest of youre day. then Ill just workout at home. I hope they can be retrained on customer awareness and not getting paid to only talk to other co- workers. Very disappointed.

Love it new member to the gym but so far it is amazing only thing I wish they had more trainers to help with specific routines for better results kinda going by seat of my pants on this one but so far so good

The bathrooms need cleaning. Hair everywhere in the showers especially that last shower. That really ruined my experience there. I felt so gross while putting on my clothes worried that pieces of someone elses hair is on the bottom of my feet. Gag!

A great place to workout. There are usually plenty of machines. I love the cardio room. I really love the massage chairs and the hydro massage bed and chairs. Talk about relaxing after a great workout!! They have red light therapy and tanning if you like as well

The biggest joke around

This is an independent owned planet fitness, and the staff told me they have the right to make there own rules. I was not allowed to bring in a water bottle that was bigger than the one they sell there!!!!!! this is a tall water bottle like you get at a gas station. I could not believe it!!!!!! I travel for work and I have been all over the country to lots of planet fitnesss and have never heard of this. So I had to workout with no water. I went to the water fountain to get water and guess what? The owners have the water presser turned so low you have to put your mouth on the fountain to get water. This leaves members no other choice but to BUY water from them out of the cooler. Good luck on trying to wash your hands in the bathroom. You get 10 seconds of water then it shuts off. Cheap cheap cheap.

I am 63 and new to the gym scene. Wasnt sure about it, but needed to get my body moving. Talked to the trainer and told him what I wanted to do and he gave me a workout sheet. Great atmosphere.

Im traveling the country and I signed up on the road and this is the only location that for some reason was able to issue me my key tag. Everyone I had visited in Nashville tn said they couldnt do so cause theyre not my home gym. Its nice to finally have my key tag thanks guys. For going above and beyond.

Other locations in Georgia have opened. Unfortunately the ones in our area are owned by a different person therefore we are not entitled to use the gym that we pay for. Other gyms in our area have opened.

This club needs upgrading. There is not enough workout equipment such as ropes for the cable machines, free weights, cable handles, etc. Also, there are not enough carabiners for the cable machines-you have to switch them when using different cable stations and the carabiners that are there are broken and I was actually cut by one while working out today. The club is not very clean and lacks in this area a lot. I never see any employee ever cleaning. I travel all over the Southeast and workout at lots of other PF clubs that are 10 times nicer and cleaner than the Ft O club.

I worked here for a couple of months. On 3rd shift, when the detailed cleaning is supposed to get done. They literally just mark off the checklist on that shift and only focus on the trash and sanitizer bottles. The treadmills arent cleaned weekly. The floors arent mopped regularly. Bathrooms are made presentable but no one makes sure theyre actually cleaned, as long as everything looks right, its all good. Employees tanning and working out on the clock. Friends coming in and using the facilities/ hanging out for long durations. It was a job for kids who didnt want to work in fast food, and there was no competent, mature leadership... The gym was fine for members, but its not what Planet Fitness wants it to be...

Joined this PF before they opened and have been happy with my experience there. I work in an office and spend way too much time sitting in front of a computer. I specifically got the Black Card membership so I could enjoy unlimited use of the hydro-massage loungers/beds to help with my stiff back/neck. I only wish those sessions ran longer than 10 minutes! I always go to the front and sign back in for a second session if theres not a line. So happy that we now have a PF in the Fort O area!

Cody & staff are aware, efficient, and helpful. They frequent the floor more often than most gyms. They seem to make a good multitasking team. Equipment and facility is cleaner than most PFs. Equipment is a little cramped in the space but everything else makes up for it. This place is my favorite PF of all in the CHA area.

This place is great and friendly place to work out but till I disappoint with PF because I find out I have pay 58 dollar fee to cancel my membership due to hardship financial I am broke I can’t close membership and I can’t freeze my account because only for militarily or medical reason. I wish I can freeze for financial reason just till I got financial back on track. And 58 seem rip off. How can I pay 58 if i can’t afford. That s only con. But still good place that why I put 4 stars

Man it one of the places I love going to through the week and into weekend and I wanna let u no one of the big reason is thank to ur night shift and Mr Hayden is great!! Makes it feel like home

I enjoy going to Planet Fitness except for the fact that it NEVER fails when I am in the 30 minute circuit area, people come over to use just a few machines, sit on those machines, look through their phones and then leave without wiping down the machines. I enjoy the concept and it would make for a great quick overall workout before heading to my job but it becomes inconvenient for me to have to skip around and, well, inconsiderate people are annoying. I dont need that especially early in the a.m. It would be beneficial to have staff periodically physically monitor that area and remind folks to follow the guidelines for use.

Very good place... It has great & friendly people, great equipment, very clean, open 24/7, and a great price. I have been to a few different gyms and I like PF the best of them all.

Always give planet fitness 5 stars, but upon my visit today, the have a sign up saying they are requiring face masks.

Great gym me personally number 1 employee goes to ETHAN he helped me out with stuff that no one else could do if he aint behind the desk helping people he is cleaning the gym so thank u Ethan for all ur help

Nice open layout! Everything seems very clean. Great staff, professional and friendly. An environment where you can relax and just do your thing!

Love the fact that I can tan and workout all at one time. and all less than what you would pay just for the tanning bed. Makes my life easier.

The Manager was extremely helpful. I had used an old account to set up my PF membership but had paid a month with my card. I thought we had changed the bank account to my new account but the employee had just used my card instead to make the payment for that month. Well I ended up injured and couldnt go for a few months. When. I got released I went back in to set my account back up and the manager helped me out by getting rid of the late fees and the months I was charged even though I hadnt went. I ended up only having to pay for the month that I went once and and the new month for membership. I was so grateful to him as I love going to the Fort O location!

This place is great the staff and the facilities are perfect the training by the personal trainers are always top notch and they are always willing to help only thing I really wished they offered was a sauna!!! I dont use the tanning beds so it would be awesome if they had one other then that they are amazing!! I bring people all the time!

I have been coming to this location for over 2 years to tan and workout I come now later after 10 pm and I must commend a certain employee here Hayden is by far the best he is friendly and attentive he does a great job and he works hard always smiling and pleasent I love coming when he is here.

The weights arent heavy enough; dumbells only go to 75 lbs. No barbells and light dumbells only. An excellent gym for cookie-cutters, soccer moms, and the elderly. They have more treadmills than 45 lbs plates.

The staff at this location is not as friendly as others, other than that I dont have any more constructive criticism.

Truly a judgement free zone. Bound to see familiar faces here and overall its really friendly and everyone keeps to themselves.

I am now changing my review to 2 Stars.They are getting to be like Rock Fitness. Several Bikes are in need of repair among other equipment. Some days the cleaning bottles are about empty and some wont even spray. Im about ready to throw in the towel. They make plenty of money and do not use it to better the place.This was right after we 1st joined and the place was new...as most places.. maintenance is not important once they get your money.... the below post no longer applies.Love it! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Nice to go to a local gym that keeps it clean and takes care of their equipment. So glad we have another choice og gymin our area now and it is VERY economical!

Clean place and nice people. Showers and locker rooms are large and always clean. Lots of lockers in the main area and in the locker room. The machines are well maintained and there are usually multiple machines of each kind and there are lots of cardio machines.

Glad its open during this Hyped up Flu type sickness that going on.Luckily it will be over after the Election!!😉

I’ve been a regular customer since February . I usually come late nights . Hayden is by far the best employee. Very attentive and friendly!

Awesome place to workout, very comfortable and all types of people are there so you dont feel out of place. So many options to choose from you cant get bored. Love the extra options with the black card.

I have been going between the fort Oglethorpe and Dalton locations. I have never had a problem till today. I did not grunt, breath heavy drop a weight or make any loud noises and the link alarm was constantly going off. Considering I was the closest person to it that was lift weights it had to be me. I abide by all the rules of this gym and this is just flat out stupid. I will be cancelling my membership as soon as my year contract is up.

The two things that impressed me most were the cleanliness of the facility and the service I received from all members of the staff. The trainer speaks to me every time I see her and she asks how things are going and offers any help asked of her. A Great value!!

The gym has been open for most part of the pandemic. Through the entire duration, the water machine has been operating. Up until last week, they shut it off due to “covid.”They are offering bottled water for $1 but only by card payment. They refuse to accept cash & refuse to give water to their paying customers.The water is on in showers, toilet & sinks but depriving of WATER while working out and doing cardio.It’s a gym. Open all the way or not at all.

I have been a member at Planet Fitness since before the Fort Oglethorpe location was opened but this has been my main location since then. The staff is always friendly, the locker rooms and bathrooms are clean, I have never encountered any broken or non working equipment and the whole no gymtimidation thing seems to take the edge off of the air of competition you usually feel at the gym.

I have always loved Planet Fitness gyms. Used to train at the Lee Highway location and now at Fort Oglethorpe location. They have a variety of gear and everything you would need to get fit or to train.

When I called, the staffer was ready for the question Tell Me about PF, what are you about?, it was from a one-sheet that she read, my hunch is they do that a-lot, it was informative- I do not like the fact that there is no Steam-Room... Even so, the rate is really good- 20 bucks a month plus one time admin fee is not bad and there is an economy rate for half that- Not bad.

Of all the ones in the area, this one really draws me in. Love the layout, showers, and service. My home Planet Fitness is in Dalton but occasionally will make the drive to this one even though it is quite out of the way.

Love Planet Fitness!!!! friendly staff and environment all around. I am able to exercise at my own pace and have full access to all equipment!! I have lost 8 pounds since I joined two weeks ago!!!!

After I had a stroke it took 5 months to get them to cancle my membership at which point they lied to me about refunding the money they stole from me over the months of calling demanding they cancel my membership. Horrible people.

The staff has always been rude to me. As soon as they say hello they are all back to chatting it up with each other & it seems like they are just there to mingle and not help with real issues. They never smile and i feel as though i am a burden with any questions i have rather than someone to be cared for. I hate it so much i honestly want to cancel membership
