My boyfriend stopped here for a haircut while we were in town for the day - classic barber shop, very accommodating to walk-ins and great service!

Lovely atmospheric place. Its been here since the twenties. The barber was a great guy. If you need a haircut this is where to go.

Blakes is an old fashioned barber shop, not a salon. The barbers are all friendly and each have their own styles. It took a ehile but their are two i hope will be around for at least 10 years.

The barber here had told me the way I had wanted my hair was incorrect so I let him do my hair his way, when I did not like the way he had cut it he became angered and told me he would not like cut my hair all day because I cannot make up my mind. It was simply his fault he tried to cut my hair his way in the first place. Overall very unprofessional and impolite.

The barbers don’t listen to the customers Simple requests, very rude staff and unwilling to make reasonable accommodations for children.Definitely will not ever use again. Period.

Great results. There will likely be a 15-25 minute wait. Id suggest arriving early, acknowledge youd like to get a haircut, then wait at any number of the surrounding shops/restaurants.

I wanted to get the feel of an old fashioned haircut in an old fashioned parlor, I got it!The same person has been cutting my hair in the burbs of Chicago for over 30 years at a senior cost of only $9.00.This cut was done by James who started cutting hair in 1955!Definitely costs more but we’ll worth the visit!!

It will be very hard going back to a chain haircut place after my awesome haircut and experience at Blakes. The staff was very friendly and kind. After a short wait, Matt cut my hair. The thoroughness and attention to detail with every side was impressive to say the least. I walked out feeling like a million bucks. I will definitely be back. If you need a haircut, this is where to go!

I have been to all the chains and I consider myself lucky if they don’t butcher my hair. This place for 2 dollars more than your average franchise salon offers a great atmosphere and a great haircut for 18 bucks. If you need a hair cut in Fort Myers this is the place to go.

The barber treated my son very inappropriately this morning. He caused a scene because my son didnt like the way his hair looked and wanted it fixed. He stated my 15 year old was wasting his time. My husband had to pay another barber to fix his hair.

Matt was amazing! Very detailed and thorough on cutting my fiances hair! All the staff was very nice and welcoming.

Just say No! The lady that cut my sons hair was awful. Should have walked out when I tried to tell her what we wanted and she said she already knew. We are visiting from out of state and figured a barber shop that had been around so long was a safe option. WRONG! Then she tries to wash his hair and the other employee had to tell her to put the booster under him. After a soaking wet shirt, she moved him back to the other chair. She proceeded to butcher my sons hair. Apparently she measures like a fisherman and 1/4 inch is really an inch. It was enough that I walked out and left my husband to deal with it before making a scene. NEVER AGAIN.

Have been getting our haircuts with Mattlock for a few years now. Blakes is a great authentic venue, my son loves the old fashioned cash register (still works!)
