My name is Elijah J. Burston and i had an Awesome experience doing business with your company!! This morning 2021/2/13 was my 2nd time going to public storage seeking help and Angie was there to assist me and was super cool with answering every question i had about different things. When i first came in last week to find a good size storage unit for myself, she was very patient with me and i really appreciate that because i know i can be indecisive at times. Today i was coming to see what is the correct procedure to follow when you lose your key to the lock on your storage unit. Angie broke it down to me and explained the right way for me to go about things with the issue Im having. With that being said, on my lunch break today I will try to fight through traffic to bring a new lock so you guys will already have it here at the office ; so whenever the manager get the chance to get around 2 taking off my old lock next week she can put on my new lock and we can be ready to rock & roll from there. If i cant make it today on my lunch break to drop off a new lock or this weekend then I will make sure to have the lock at the front desk by Tuesday afternoon at the latest. thank you again for having my back throughout everything Im going through at the moment. I am looking for to doing a lot of business Public Storage here in the near future! Every person that needs a storage unit I am going to recommend them to come to Public Storage because you guys are the best. Tell Angie shes doing an amazing job and to keep up the great work! Excellent Customer Service at this location. Best price I found on units. Rachel was extremely helpful and considerate. She showed me the unit, and had brought with her an item that reduces moisture in the unit, plus I had forgotten to bring a lock .... and she had that with her as well. I just went in today for the first time at this new location on in Fort Myers Florida for my public storage. I inconvenience my attending a lot because at the moment I was not currently able to pay the full payment without having any money left over to spare before tomorrow. My accountant was able to make my experience very pleasant was even able to offer me the option of sparing my insurance until the weekend that way it doesnt inconvenience me with my immediate deposit for my storage unit. Im completely satisfied with my experience and today I do own a public storage because of my accountant . The security and overall layout of this facility is perfect for anyone looking for a safe place for their belongings. Angie even called me days later, after I had gotten established with a rental agreement, to see if everything was going well and to check on our overall well being and if there was anything she could do to help out.Back in the Chicago area, people just do NOT display that degree of kindness. My husband and I rented a unit from Public Storage at 5036 S Cleveland Ave in Fort Myers, FL, to hold our belongings during a move from Ohio to Florida while we looked for a new house. Once the purchase of our new home was complete we returned, to our unit to remove our things only to discover the facility has a rat infestation and that a number of our boxes and items had been chewed through and blanketed in a layer of rat droppings. Mortified and disgusted, we hurried to the office where we were dismissed and told to file a claim with insurance that thankfully we had purchased up front.After looking into an insurance claim however, we were notified that rodents were not a covered expense and that we’d only be eligible for reimbursement up to a max $250 with a $100 deductible, along with submitting a receipts and an itemized listing of all the damaged items in the unit which is laughable, considering the actual cost of these damaged items is probably 10x the max claim amount. I attempted to contact Public Storage by email and was directed to their phone line. Once I finally reached someone by phone, I was sarcastically told that rats are not their problem, and that it is “self-storage”. I was also reminded that’s why they insist upon the insurance, which they know doesn’t cover rodents, which in my opinion is tantamount to some level of fraud and for sure gas-lighting. The facility knows they have a rat problem, now there are literally rat traps placed outside every other unit. There was actually a dead rat stuck to the door of our unit when we opened it and another dead rat found further inside. If only they had met their demise before destroying our belongings. This is unacceptable treatment and service. Not only has Public Storage refused to accept any sort of responsibility for the destruction of our property or attempted to rectify things, but from a consumer standpoint, they’ve provided no plausible way to even protect yourself or your belongings financially. Do yourself a favor, and store your thing with anyone else. Our things might have been safer out on the street, and we would’ve saved some money too.

Even though I was grumpy and in a bad mood Shelbey both in the office and on the phone was very polite and professionalWhen I questioned her about the administrative fee she explained it as she knew it Then she researched it to be sure that she was giving customers the correct information.Very polite and professional young lady.I find no problem with the facility either.

Sarah S went far and beyond from the first phone call all the way to the end. She showed me a few different sizes because I wanted to visually see the sizes. It was no bother to her. She answered all my questions and I feel safe storing at this location.

I cannot believe the horrible experience that I went through with Angie.. when I came in things were going nice and smooth until I told her that I did not need her lock. Then she was forcing there insurance on me and at one point she told me I couldnt rent a unit unless I bought there protection. I needed the unit so I got it bc she wouldnt rent to me unless I bought it. Then I got clarification and was told by another office of public storage that I did not have to get it and she could of rented to me if I had my own. I tried to cancel it and they cancelled it but I was out ou of $15 there after I said over and over I did not want it. I will not be staying. Just needed it right that second.

I’m moving down to Ft Myers for work, and had a whirlwind weekend of trying to find a house before flying back to NY. Just in case, I wanted to set up a storage unit where I could hold my stuff while waiting for the closing. Sarah made this process the easiest part of my weekend.
