I got a flat tire right by this shop, so I pulled in. By the time I made ot to their parking lot, my tire was almost off the rim I fully expected them to try to sell me a new tire, and then 3 more for a matching set, and then an alignment. I got none of that. They fixed my tire in less than 30 minutes and I had my car back for under $31. This is my first ever experience with a mechanic that didnt try selling me a bunch of extra things. I look forward to seeing what they can do with my old work truck.

Used to be a good shop few years back. Down to earth and friendly. My friend introduced me to them. But now, theyve changed. The guy and lady at the desk are arrogant. Had some work done a few weeks ago and I got charged for dubious items. No honesty and transparency whatsoever. Parts and labor are very expensive all in the name of genuine parts. I got a quote after the fact from another shop(5 star rated) and i could have saved 250 bucks had i found them before going to Lous. I can safely say theyve lost my business and all the people Id have recommended them to. My advice to you: Dont get too comfortable even if youve always gone to this shop. Look around and do your research. There are tons of better shops that have come up recently.

Took my Ram to Lous for a set of shorty headers and front brakes. The owner, Lou, and Manger, Steve stayed until 8pm on a Friday to get the job done and get me back on the road. Would highly recommend to anybody needing car repairs. Price, quality, and service were exceptional...Too bad I can only give 5 starts!

Took the car to change 2 wheel studs, one was broken off and the other was stripped by Sam’s club tire service . They gave me an estimate of $132 and one hour later they called me like they always do and make a big deal out of the repair to get more money, they told me I need another wheel stud with new lock nuts and something loose. I told them ok do whatever it takes and I made a mistake to say that. Too bad I trusted them without a written estimate because my bill went from $132 to $741.86. What a crook people working there never trust them and will never return back.

Lou got me in same day even though they were busy. He diagnoses a problem for me that I thought I had with my motor mounts. He told me they did not need to be replaced right now, but he did notice my back break pads were needing to be replaced. Very nice owners, honest, affordable and worked us in! Even patched my BFs tire!

I was given a quote for brakes. When I picked up car the total was under the quote, plus I was called about two other small items needing to be done to my car which were able to be completed the same day. Friendly service. Drop key accessible.

The gentleman Steve explained the diagnostic over the phone, called an hour later with how they needed to proceed and with a better priced quote than I was expecting. They fixed everything that day! Towed me and letThem fix the problem- got a new fuel pump and picked it up next day and have no cab lights, dash lights and cargo lights… took back expecting a no problem sir we will fix it….they say it’s a coincidence- nah- never had that issue and I’m nobody’s fool! Can’t believe Greg owner would not fix the issue his workers caused - paid over $800 for fuel pump now you try and ripMe off more?- no! Owner is a crook-

Amazing service, they took great care of me. Typically I feel like auto care places take advantage of me, but not Lou’s! They were very educational and made sure that they addressed all of my car issues appropriately. I will definitely be taking my vehicles there from here on out.

The owner told me that the battery in my van was not the problem. Yet, I could not start the van when I got to this repair shop! After I agreed to allow Lou to electronically test this battery, I agreed and authorized a limited cost of NO MORE THAN $142.50!!When I returned the next morning, Lou said the cost would be $220.00!!! I did NOT authorize this over-amount!! I returned after the Labor Day holiday and the van would not jump start. I was told by an employee of Discount Auto Parts next door that my battery was a one year battery and it was totally DEAD! It was advised that I should buy a new battery! I did so I bought a 2-year battery and the electrical system is perfect no loss of power no loss of energy. No need for any jump start.I am a senior, 77 years old, and feel I was taken by Lous Auto Repair Shop. I intend to report the scam which was devised by Lou himself the owner, and his manager named Steve who argued with me that the battery was good when they got it in! There is a law in the state of Florida which says especially for seniors if an auto repair shop tries to put one over on the senior that is against the law, the State of Florida law!

I just had my car towed in that hasn’t been running in a little over a year. From the moment I called to see if they worked on Cadillac’s and a towing company they used, they have been amazing. I was initially going to drop off the vehicle yesterday but was not feeling well. When I called to let them know it wouldn’t be coming in and if it was ok to have it towed in tomorrow, Steve immediately let me know that it was no problem and hoped I felt better. When I came in this morning again, Steve went over everything I was concerned about. He let me know, from what I thought was wrong with my vehicle everything that would need to be done and gave me a rough estimate to start with. My rear drivers side window was down from what I assumed to be the battery. I voiced my concern about the window being down, and not tapped up anymore, and he immediately went outside to see if that in fact was the problem. Unfortunately for me it was not. He let me know that it was my regulator and pushed up my window so I didn’t need to worry about if it rained. Steve spent probably a good hour with me going over pricing, answering all my questions and concerns, and putting up my window. My car obviously has not been fixed yet however, I have great faith that the work will be done right and, at a fair price. I’m so grateful for this team and know my car is in good hands.

Was recommended by a friend to try Lous out for my minivan, I was told it needed breaks and tires and wanted to take it somewhere honest and trustworthy. I had a great experience. They checked out my breaks for free (!) and then gave me a quote for 4 new breaks and 2 new tires that was affordable and fair. I will definitely be bringing it back for my oil changes and any future work, as well as recommending them to my husband and friends.

FINALLY a good decent honest auto mechanic!! The stirring was loose in my car. Lou did a fantastic job explaining not only the problem but also the fix to me before performing any work. Yesterday, a couple weeks later, I had issues with my car that ended up being completely unrelated. They took me in right away and explained that it was the sway bar that was causing me trouble. Last night when I picked my car up they said I was all set! He didnt even charge me for the $15 part or the labor!!Exceptional customer service! I highly recommend Lous!

Trust em with no reservations! I meant to leave this review 6 months ago, when they actually serviced my car. I dont live in Ft. Myers but had a roadside emergency, and someone recommended them. Now Im recommending them to anyone who needs reliable, solid auto work in the area. If only I had not been stuck waiting for a tow truck for over 2 hours (not the fault of Lous Total Car care at all, by the way), they would have had me fixed up and back on the road to make it to work on time. As it was, I had to call in sick, but the folks at Lous managed to also settle a case of nerves and irritability due to missing work just by being really nice and professional. Actually it may have been their cool dog that put me in a better mood, but they still get credit.

Went to the dealership because they said during my inspection that I was having break issues. Mind you the dealership LET ME LEAVE knowing something was going on. Went back to the dealership two weeks later.. they tell me I need one thing replaced - $950. I agree thinking its the dealer - I bought the car there they should know better. Then they come out.. now its two things that need to be replaced - total was $2,500 with parts, labor, and tax including the part I agreed to replace originally. I was so upset - I left. Called Lous Total Car Care. Explained to the owner what happened. He told me to come in for a free brake inspection. Turns out it was a part that had NOTHING to do with what the dealer said it was.. and way less expensive. Went with Lous instead of the dealer. Ive definitely learned my lesson and Im not EVER going back to the dealership for anything.

While out of town for work, I was in an accident. I needed to have my truck looked at to be sure it was safe to drive back 2 1/2 hours home while pulling a trailer. Just had my 2002 Jeep Cherokee fixed at Lous Total Car Care. These guys really do go above and beyond to take care of you and your car. I took it in for a death wobble but they also fixed my high idle problem and repaired my lift gate struts at no extra charge. To top that off, they also provided me with financing that was easy to apply for at a reasonable rate. I am so thrilled and relieved at the way they took care of me.

Quick work & honest service. Finally a mechanic that will actually tell you what is wrong with your vehicle and nothing extra that is unneeded. Went to multiple mechanics who all told me the same thing (standard replacement on a certain part on my car based off miles & make/model). The experience I had with the staff here was great, everyone was really friendly welcoming and friendly. I had a chance to speak with the owner of the shop and he is very fair, friendly, and an overall great business owner. You can tell their technicians know what they are doing and he takes pride in that.

What great people. I got my brakes done there and the price was half then it was at the big name places. Sitting there I observed they care about you more then up selling you for bigger profits. If you need work done and want honest people that actually care about you this is the place.

My breaks recently went out in the middle of US41! I called Lou’s right away and not only did they offer to help me get my truck to their shop, they had my truck completed within hours and ready for pick up! The service was fast and extremely customer service driven! I watched many customers come in and out with smiling faces and pleased with this service shop. I highly recommend Lou’s to everyone! The prices are more than fair and I didn’t have to struggle with massive labor rates. Every service technician who entered the building greeted us with a smile as if we were regulars! What was once a 5 star became a 1 star.This guy is incredible, he made up a whole story about how my car was not safe for driving after telling him I had a long road trip ahead of me. I got charged around 800-900 dollars for several issues this man claimed I had, but I was a little skeptical so I asked for all the original parts he was taking out of the car back just in case. A month or two later after getting home, I get the parts checked by a trusted friend and mechanic and he tells me all the parts are in fine condition. Disappointed that what I thought was a warm hearted gentleman ended up being a man who conned me out of nearly a thousand dollars.

Had an amazing experience here. The guys could tell I was frusterated from the previous shop I went to, and treated me like family. The service was quick, the staff was super friendly and professional and gave amazing service. Not to mention this was my first visit. I will definitely be going back and telling everyone to go here for any issues they have!!

My name is Don Redfield97 Jeep Grand Cherokee needed brakes badly. They got me in right away. Inspected the car. Explained and showed me the problems. Even pointed out I have a belt about to go. Its safety first and fore most. They did the work quickly and thoroughly. I discussed some other issues with them . They gave me clear precise answers. I highly recommend this shop. I certainly will be back. Thank you ! They never tried to over sell or push anything. They give service and value, as they would expect as customers themselves. Honesty and integrity are their hallmarks. At 61 yrs old I appreciate all of this.

Brought my car here to get an estimate that was over $2000. I couldnt afford to pay for the evaluation so he asked for me to write a positive review instead. I did that immediately and proceeded to find assistance to pay for the fees. Eventually i was able to get help and brought my car back a month later to get it fixed. Three weeks later, I walked here because i was told that it would be finished and could come get it the next morning. When we got here, they now saidthat theres another issue. After THREE WEEKS they had JUST found out about the issue. The next day i finally get my car back only for it to have MORE issues that it didnt have before. I was originally told that it would take only 1 week to complete. I have 4 kids including one that is disabled so it is extremely important that i have reliable transportation. I told the owner this and they still screwed me over. During the time that theyve had the vehicle, there was barely any communication on what was going on. It seems that they didnt fully check the car like they said in the 1st place. Now they are refusing to fix the problems that THEYVE caused. A week later the manager returned and fixed most of the problems. Two weeks later he says that the motor is blown and advised me to salvage to vehicle. At the end of the day they got paid by a non profit organization And Im still unable to transport my disabled daughter.

Its cheaper to get a friend to fix your broken down car. So I get a check engine light on, and paid like $80 something and the DUDE tells me it was because of a Disconnected hose near the air system. I know it wasnt because I checked the engine that morning and the night before and nothing was loose. When the DUDE showed me the hose to me it was completely noticeable and dangling downwards. He said the check engine light would go off once it was connected and it never did even after 2 weeks. Anyways, he also tried to sell me a brake job worth $1500. I left and had a friend do a complete break job for really cheap and found out that the check engine light was because of a old O2 sensor. These mechanics never told me anything about a faulty O2 sensor in their Diagnostic Summary. My friend changed the O2 sensor and the check engine light automatically went away in a second.
