We had an amazing trip out on the Lady Helen with Captain Jeff and his deckhand Austin. We pulled our limit of mahi-mahi in the boat!!! The boat was super clean and in great operating condition. Nice cover to get out of the sun and in the shade. They keep a cooler of ice on the boat just for you to put your stuff in. Deck had lots of room to move around on. We’ll definitely be going fishing on the Lady Helen again. This boat is a 100% recommend.

We had a great experience on Lady Helen with Captain Jeff and Mate Teddy on March 5, 2021. Boat was clean and comfortable and we fished a variety of ways with success. We caught three Bonitas and used one for bait which hooked a good sized shark that came off after a few minutes. We also hooked two sailfish and landed one 80. A couple of Rudder Fish were landed while vertical jigging. The prize of the trip was a 44 Wahoo which Captain Jeff suggested we take a piece to the Raw Bar which was within site of his dock. The manage prepared some fresh Sashimi and then blackened the rest. It was fantastic. We took our own vacuum sealer and sealed our fish at the dock. Capt. Jeff was very accommodating to freeze and store it for us. Taking it home on the plane with dry ice was easy. Really enjoyed how laid back the experience was particularly when Captain Jeff came off the bridge to spend some quality time with us. Definitely would visit again.

Went out with my childhood buddy Art and his 3 kids on the Lady Helen charters. Capt Jeff met us and showed us where to park. Patiently waited for everyone to arrive. Greeted everyone and introduced us to the mate Teddy. Made the kids feel very comfortable. Teddy worked his butt off to help us catch and reel in the fish. Capt Jeff did a great job trolling. Im from NY and look foward to going out with Capt Jeff and Teddy EVERY time I come back to Florida!!!! He took his time and cleaned the fish afterwards. You will not be disappointed. We did the 6hr charter and was worth every dollar!

Four of us went out fishing with Captain Jeff and Mate Ted and had a fantastic experience! The boat was great, they were both extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and they did everything they could to ensure we had a good time! Being from MN, we know that, despite your best efforts, the fish might not bite, but they utilized multiple techniques to make it a fun and eventful trip! We caught 5 different types of fish and were able to eat 3 of them, all perfectly cleaned by Captain Jeff. The four of us loved every minute of the 6hr trip and WILL definitely be going back to the Lady Helen in the future!

We had an amazing time on Lady Helen!! The captain and crew helped us learn how to deep sea fish. Most of us were new to this. Captain Jeff also made us feel right as home. This is extremely RARE!! We were lucky to stumble upon this deal and opportunity.We caught a wahoo and some tuna. After we got back Captain Jeff fillet the fish and we ate them raw at our AirBNB. Some of the best fish I’ve ever had!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Overall, this was a decent experience. Obviously there is no way to control when or if fish bite but we caught a few cool fish and that was fun. There was not much for any communication from the Capt. or the mate, we felt as if we had no clue really as to what was going on. The whole trip was very quiet. It was more of a get on and lets go type thing which I guess would be fine if we had been with them before but this was our first experience. We were so excited because of the fantastic reviews but maybe we just caught them on an awkward day?

Wife and I wanted to go on a fishing charter on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint!! We had some rough waters but captain Jeff still put us on fish! Great experience, great boat hand and an awesome boat! We will be returning for another charter when we return to Ft Lauderdale!

Good time, captain and mate worked very hard to get us fish. I get it sometimes the fish dont want to bite but the captain did everything in his power to get us some action and we did end up catching some nice fish. He even fileted it for us after we got back. Very clean ship and within 15 min of leaving the dock youre already fishing. If Im doing another deep sea fishing trip in the area Ill be back.

After been looking over and over and reading reviews after reviews. We decided to book a trip with Captain Jeff late February. The day we were outside there were a lot of waves and windy, but who cares. We got two fishes and were happy for that, but wished we had gotten a sailfish :). I got a really big Grouper, my first ever. Thanks again Captain Jeff.

Captain Jeff was incredible. My two boys caught a 34 lb Amberjack and a 15 lb Black Tuna. Captain Jeff filleted it at the dock and we all had fresh tuna sushi at the dock. My two boys will remember it forever!

My son and I went with captain Jeff and mate Ted on 9/4/2020 and had absolutely an awesome six hours. We caught numerous fish within 15 minutes and hooked a 7 foot bull shark to end the day. We had our keeper fish cleaned and had it for dinner at great restaurant within walking distance of the boat. We have done a lot of charter fishing and rank this as one of the funnest trips. Took the family on a fishing trip with Jeff and first mate Ted (11/24/2020). Had a great time, water was choppy but they still delivered. My wife, daughter, son and myself all caught nice large fish that gave us a nice fight. Ted never sat down, was constantly working to keep the lines in the water and set us up for a good catch. Jeff cleaned our fish to our liking (steaked/filleted for us, set us with ice and send us on our way. Everyone was courteous, the trip size (4people ) and duration (8am-12pm) was perfect in light of COVID. Boat was clean, and they seem to know where to find fish even though it was windy.

Jeff and Teddy we’re great! The boat was very roomy that fit 8 of us comfortably. We had a great time and caught Triple tail, Wahoo, Blackbelly Rosefish. We will definitely be making another trip! To top it all off Jeff filleted our fish! Thanks again!

Went out with Captain On Aug 10th and was impressed with the ability to make something happen when nothing was biting. After a time trolling, we went for Mahi, and found a nice school. Caught 6 nice dolphins and then later bottom fished at the end and got a nice Mutton Snapper. Excellent time, great support team to get all the tackle up and ready after any issues. Really recommend Lady Helen Charters!

Had a wonderful time aboard the Lady Helen! We went for a six hour trip. Captain Jeff and his mate, Ted, were awesome, and the boat is in great shape. They are very professional and have A LOT of experience. We caught tuna, Mahi Mahi, and mackerel. They also told us of a couple restaurants close by that will prepare your catch. All in all, a great experience!! If you’re looking for a great fishing experience, I’d highly recommend them.

Came down to visit my family and Capt. Jeff and his mate treated us great. We went out early to beat a cold front and he got us on fish. Snagged a sailfish but he got off before we got him to the boat. Caught a nice mackerel and caught a giant 34” 30lb Red Snapper beautiful fish!! Highly recommend going out with the Lady Helen anytime you’re in south Florida!!!

Awesome Trip! Just returned from a half day charter. Captain Jeff and his mate were great. Caught the limit. He sent us to a local restaurant a couple blocks away, where they cooked up the catch. Delicious!

This was our first time charting a fishing trip and could not be happier with our first experience. Captain Jeff and David were amazing. We got to the boat a little early and they were already there ready to go. It was a nice ride to the fishing spot and about 15 minuets into fishing we caught our first king fish and it was a big one that took a while for my son to bring in the boat. The rest of the trip was so much fun. I would highly recommend captain Jeff.

WOW!!! I have fished the entire east coast of Florida and Captain Jeff and his mate Dave are absolutely awesome.. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to take an off shore fishing trip.. The price is excellent and they are both very knowledgeable. We caught fish all day. My family and I recently went out with Captain Jeff and had an absolutely amazing experience. We caught multiple tuna, barracuda and even a sailfish. I have two boys ages 10 and 12 and Capt. Captain Jeff was awesome, when my husband accidentally dropped his key fob in the water, Jeff volunteered to dive in and he found it. The key fob dried out by the end of the fishing trip, and worked as good as new to get us back in our car for the ride home. Customer service was top notch throughout the whole experience. Captain Jeff is a very good fisherman that knows all the tricks of saltwater fishing. We will definitely be back.

Captain Jeff took my girlfriend an I on our first deep sea fishing experience and it was by far amazing. He made the whole trip about us and asked what we wanted to do and where we would like to go. He put us on a lot of great fish, one of which was the largest mahi they have seen in a while!! We had a wonderful time and will definitely use Lady Helen again in the years to come! Absolutely awesome experience and the highlight of our drive down the coast. My husband read the reviews online and booked us for a morning run out. We arrived around 7:30-7:45am and were on the water by 8am. We spent about 2 1/2 hours rolling to some of the spots they knew well. A couple of kingfish and a few others (dont ask me Im just there to catch them all). The entire morning was relaxing, fun and filled with great conversation.The Captain Jeff pulled out the kite and I have to say this has been on my bucket list for a long time. Ive always wanted to see it done live and in person. What an amazing experience. I was able to catch a couple of great fish as they put the kite out. But unfortunately for us we had to pull it back in about 20 minutes in due to a storm rolling in super fast. I plan on doing this again though I would love a catch and release for a sailfish. Dave was amazing and kept us going non stop and gave us breaks when needed. He was just awesome and fun to chat with.My husband was a good sport (seeing as my fish were bigger and better eating than his) and that made the trip for me! :) 4 hours was awesome but next time Ill try to book a couple of days maybe a morning and then a different afternoon. So much fun!! I cant wait to come back.The awesome thing is the guys recommended we filet one of the fish up to take up the dock to a restaurant that would cook it right up for us. So that is exactly what we did...you cant get any fresher than that...what an awesome recommendation!

The captain and first mate Dave are spectacular. Myself and two of my friends went out with them back in June 2018. I do not have a ton of experience and you could tell Dave was ensuring that I was taken care of, had a great time, and most importantly caught fish. Dave made my trip.In total my buddies and I probably caught close to 15-17 fish and brought back 10.I wouldn’t use any other charter in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I’m not sure I’ll have a better experience fishing ever than I did with Lady Helen.I can’t wait to go back and fish with Dave and Jeff again.

Id like to thank Capt. Jeff Salter for a great introduction to Florida inshore and offshore fishing. Although the bite was slow, Capt. Jeff made sure we got into some fish and everyone in our group caught at least one. Capt. Jeff made sure all of our rigs were properly set and gave clear and concise instruction as to how to both tell when a fish hits on a slow troll and when to set the hook. All in all, a great experience and a wonderful way to knock another item off anyones bucket list! My buddy and I flew in from CO to fish with Captain Jeff and Dave for two days. It was a fantastic experience. No only did they put us on fish both days (boated 9 Mahi, one blackfin tuna...numerous releases of various species), they went above and beyond by helping us get them back to Denver (including Dave driving us to have them flash frozen as we didnt have a car). Super friendly, no pressure, wonderful trip all together. Cant wait to go back sometime in the winter and check out kite fishing for sails!

We also landed 3 Barracuda’s with one of them being 44 inches. My nephew reeled that one in and is getting a replica mount of the fish. Went out with Jeff for a full day, caught a nice #25lb Dorado among other fish. Wewere on our way in, stopped outside the harbour and sent out the kite one last time.Picked up a very nice 83 sailfish, danced a couple of laps around the boat before we got him in. Great day.2/19/14

Captain Jeff was awesome! We tried a few different tactics to find the fish and we found them. We caught two mahi mahi and two barracuda. There were two sailfish we saw but they wouldnt bite. I highly recommend Lady Helen!
