Wow, so quaint on the third floor of Neiman Marcus department store. They have a counter had about 12 seats and about four little tables I made a reservation and we had a nice little ladies lunch Jonathan our server was a delight very informative . I had an ice tea and then I had the turkey club sandwich avocado on it was so delicious but we got it with only two pieces of bread instead of the three so basically was a sandwich it was very good . It’s very cute charming. Perfect for s little ladies lunch .

Im the former manager of The Mermaid Bar. Its with great sadness that I inform you we have been permanently closed. I had a most wonderful time at the Mermaid Bar, and I will miss you all so much! I had the best customers in the universe here, and will miss them all so much. I wish you so much laughter and love in your futures!Derryk

Unassuming open cafe tucked away in a famous department store. On the 3rd Floor of Neiman Marcus is the Mermaid Bar. Designed little a urban makeshift coffee shop the menu is small but effective. Wines, beer, and Champagne are ready for the odering. Soup of the day was Lobster Bisque. American natutal cheeseburger was exceptional. Prices and wait time reasonable. Staff friendly and talented in menu suggestions.

Always such a great experience for lunch here!! The staff is so friendly and accommodating.I bring my daughter here for lunch a couple of times per month, and we absolutely love it. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere very cozy. If you’re in the Galleria Mall or nearby definitely stop in. You won’t be disappointed!!

Great service for a little cafe, tasty items even though my chicken sandwich was a bit dry, they gave us complementary popovers with strawberry butter, what? Exactly, yummy. Not a lot of people know about this little place, and for a good reason. Their soups are yummy too!

The staff is fantastic,polite and nice. Never had a bad meal. I have eaten there dozens of times.The Mermaid keeps the same staff for the last 8 to 10 years,its so nice to see them there and to chat. food is great,a little to much portions of most items. Love the tomato bisque.Champagne too.

All I asked if you have soup, the old lady with grey chef uniform looked at me with mad face “Are you here first time? “ I said it’s my second time, then She even with more disappointing face “then you’ve seen our menu! We always have soup.” I lost my appetite and left, ruined my whole day!!Ma’am you should be nicer to people who come here to eat, ppl can loose their appetite. Very rude, and unprofessional!!But except her everybody is extremely nice 👌

The food is excellent, but the only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is this specific lady who apparently has a problem with my foreign accent. Everytime i go there and she’s working, she pretends she can’t understand what I’m saying when I speak English fluently! :)

This is the most busted Neiman Marcus in the country, but the restaurant is wonderful. The staff is like family.

Service is not consistent, the manager is great but they definitely need new staff. My experience was uncomfortable and awkward!!!

I stumbled on this gem, while waiting for repair service to be completed. The reviews and rating on yelp encouraged my decision on visiting this restaurant. It is hidden behind the gift shop section of Neiman Marcus but the visit is worth it.The atmosphere and employees are amazing. The food is also delicious, I had no complaints. Tom was my server, lovely guy with outstanding people skills. If youre not sure what you want to eat, I will not second guess his recommendations.I ordered the Southwest turkey burger, chipotle mayonnaise & pico de gallo with fries. While waiting they serve a warm fluffy toasted butter pastry with strawberry butter.The food was delicious!Would I recommend my friends here, absolutely. The Mermaid Bar has attained a new loyal fan!
