I cannot recommend Vessey, and in particular, Elizabeth enough. She was a HUGE help in navigating a very sudden and difficult passing. In addition to being long distance the decisions to be made were difficult. She was very knowledgeable, and gave GREAT advice. She made a terrible situation that much more manageable.

When my father passed, we went through Vessey Funeral Services. During one of the most difficult times of my life Vessey provided such sanctuary in planning and preparing everything concerning his funeral and headstone. Sarah was very friendly and valued us and our opinion. She wanted what we wanted and there was no pressure and no hurry in any of the process. A little over a week ago we received the most horrible news of our lives and were faced with planning a funeral for our 20 year old sister and sister in law. I tirelessly called numerous funeral homes To start the process of planning her funeral... I was unimpressed with every place I spoke with until I called Vessey Funeral Service... I spoke with Liz and was immediately comforted by her caring and sensitive demeanor she made our family feel comfortable from the first phone call. After our meeting at the funeral home we felt so lucky to have found such a wonderful company to work with Sarah, Steve and Liz were all absolutely amazing and helped us navigate this extremely hard road that we were about to travel down! They took care of absolutely everything and I mean everything!! What would normally be extremely stressful experience was made to be very manageable because of all of the staff at Vessey!! From the first phone call I made to them to the memorial service to the burial service they were there for us every step of the way!!! I would highly recommend Vessey to anyone looking to plan a funeral service they are absolutely wonderful!!! Don’t bother calling any other funeral home and wasting time just call them and they will make sure that you are taken care of!! I am truly overwhelmed with the care, thoughtfulness and sensitivity that they showed us and If I could give them 10 stars I would!!

Until my dying day, I will forever recommend Vessey Funeral Home. When I die, I wouldnt want anybody else to handle my affairs for my family and loved ones.This was my first experience being personally in charge of things going on in a funeral. We were blindsided with my grandmothers death as we were hoping for a recovery and rehabilitation. It was completely devastating to my family and none of us really knew where to turn. This wouldve been something grandma wouldve taken care of.The decision to go to Vessey Funeral Home was indeed the greatest decision that we could have made. We were not pushed or forced into making decisions, rather we were gently guided and able to make any decisions that we felt necessary. When plans changed, so did they, without hesitation or question. Mr. Vessey was constantly available by phone for any of our concerns, even after business hours. There were hugs, there were tears, and you knew beyond any doubts that they truly cared. Sarah did my grandmothers make up on a very quick email that I sent stating how I wanted her to look. Nothing couldve prepared me for the viewing, and how absolutely beautiful and perfect my grandmother looked. This allowed me to ease my worries, be more at peace, and ultimately allowed me to begin the grieving process. From start to finish they stood by us every step of the way and nobody deserves a five star review more than these people as a whole. As I read through other reviews I see that it is not just us and this is common practice for them. Were not sure how yet, but we will find some way to recognize you and your amazing services that you provided. You were incredibly easy to work with and you turned our heartbreak and despair into hope and happiness that she is on the other side and no longer in pain. There are truly no words worthy of expressing our gratitude. But I will never recommend another funeral home other than yours to anybody no matter what state they live in. Suffering through the death of a loved one is hard. The burden was lessened by Vesseys kind and considerate care. Sarah was on the scene shortly after it happened.
