My car has had engine problems recently and after being diagnosed by two different mechanics, the problem was still not fixed. I was referred to Summers and decided to check them out. After visiting Summers, I will NEVER go anywhere else! Summers was the only one who was able to accurately diagnose my engine. They are the most trustworthy auto repair shop I have found in Fort Collins. They genuinely care about their customer by providing the BEST service possible as opposed to ripping customers off. I would highly recommend Summers as your go to repair shop. I will only be going here from this point on! :)

Honest and caring about the customers needs

Summers is reliable and honest. Prices are more than fair and reasonable. Ive been taking my 2001 Subaru Outback to them for more than a year, and now have done two serious repairs (rotors, alternator). They communicate great, never touch my car unless given permission to go ahead with repairs, and treat you like a human being. Not going anywhere else.

I am pretty new to Fort Collins. I was looking for a reputable shop to take a car I was interested in buying to get inspected. I made an appointment, the car was taken in the shop minutes after I arrived. After an hour they were done with their inspection and it wasnt good news. There were many problems with the car that I had overlooked. I am pretty mechanically inclined and have a good bit of car knowledge but they really ended up saving me quite a bit of money. I didnt end up buying the car because of their diagnosis. The car I brought in was very low on oil, they topped it off free of charge for me. Its the little things. I recommend Summers Auto.

5 stars for amazing, dependable and quick service and wonderful, friendly customer service! They are quick to get your vehicle in and let you know that day what the problem is. When they repair it they will show you the bad part that needed replacing. Very honest, friendly group there. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else!

Its been the mechanic my family used since I could remember. It apparently got bought out recently and they ruined the amazing place it was. Now theyre just out for money. I appreciate Gary and all hes done. What he brought to us was ruined by others.

I have to say, this shop came to my rescue and did an amazing job, charge me half of what I was quoted anywhere else and in a fraction of the time. Please go see gary and ray for anything car related. Honest and friendly.

Summers has the best customer service! Got towed here randomly by geico and the staff was super helpful and kind. Very prompt at calling you back and getting your vehicle fixed. I would refer this place to anyone!!!

These guys have been my “go to” shop over the last decade. They have done everything from basic bolt break offs to a full engine replacement. Very pleased with them.

I have been taking my car here for years. Gary is a stand-up guy and is honest and a good mechanic. He is significantly cheaper than the dealerships and does better work!

Wow, my son had my wifes Honda towed to Summers. A bolt had come out of the power steering pump. They had the bolt. How long does it take to put in a bolt that they had on hand. $98.00 labor and $14.00 for materials. Total bill $114.00. I figure they make at least $409.00/hour. Ill never recommend or go there!!!!

I stopped in this shop on my way home from work because my car was making a horrible screeching sound as a result of a belt not being installed properly at the auto shop where it was replaced. The fine people of this establishment were extremely friendly, helped me right away, AND fixed the problem within five minutes. Not only did they help me even though they were closing in a couple of minutes, but they didnt charge me a cent! I will be coming here for all of my car needs from now on

Gary had always been up front and very honest with me about cost/ repairs. Hes worked on three of my cars for many years. Im moving soon but will still being my cars back.

I received terrible service here. I made an appointment for Friday morning, but they didnt get it until late that afternoon. After spending 20 minutes on the car, not fixing anything but just diagnosing, I walk out with a bill for $60 and knowing nothing more than I already did. He also didnt even put together the quote for struts that I had asked for. And because he got to it so late on a Friday, they closed before I could get in to get my keys back and was without a car all weekend. Total rip off and waste of time.

I have never found a more reliable, fairly priced, understanding, knowledgeable, or nicer mechanic than the crew at Summers. Ive been taking my 96 Jeep Cherokee (168,000 miles) to Gary for the past 12 years, and he and his crew have been keeping it running well that entire time. I wouldnt take it or my fiances Ford Taurus anywhere else.

We have taken our car in to summers auto a few times. My husband thinks the owner is honest but after today Im really fed up. Every time we take our car in it comes in worse. We had an older blazer and Gary (the owner) told us we needed a transmission flush because we all knew the transmission was going out. He said if there were metal flakes in the filter he wasnt going to do it. To be fair to Gary the actual mechanic who did the job didnt check so the car came back 10 times worse we had to manually shift it to get it move (its an automatic) no refund. Or even a partial which I would have been fine with since it wasnt supposed to be done. When we got a new car we were having problems with the car overheating so we take it in to have it looked at and end up with a new radiator. Same day the car starts spewing antifreeze and over heating worse than it ever has take it to someone over the weekend since summers was closed and were told we got screwed all we needed was a fuse. Today we take it in for an oil change. They drained the battery jumped it right before they give it back and dont even have the courtesy to tell us. When my husband gets stranded Gary says well if he asks around enough he might find someone to jump him. Or pay to get it towed. And tells me that they didnt have any problems with the battery. I was finally fed up and called to confront him and he called my husband to tattle tell on me that I was yelling at him. And I didnt even raise my voice. Half the time he didnt even let me finish my sentences. Unless you like being jerked around and lied to dont go here!

Very trustworthy place. Thought I needed new brakes but Summers assured me I was fine and didnt charge me a thing.

Summers Auto Repair is THE place to go to get your American Beauty taken care of. I had some challenges with air-conditiong and the gear box on my MB SL 500. I tried 10 shops in the area and they all failed. Summers Auto Repair had excellent service, very knowledgeable personnel and excellent pricing and turnaround times. I couldnt be happier about how it all turned out. I am heading back for a new checkup soon. You should too.
