Gym is very clean and the staff are constantly cleaning up especially during covid. All members get their own disinfectant spray bottle as they walk in. I been to other gyms like xsport and i was surprised that I did not see 1 water bottle for anyone to use to spray down equipment nor were there any paper towels available for members to wipe down after use of equipment.

I love coming to the forest park location they are very clean and I love how they social distance

The staff are very friendly and helpful. I went around 5pm and it wasnt overly crowded. Even though Im a newbie, I was warmly welcomed and felt right at home. Im excited to get started on my fitness journey!

Saturday is a amazing day to be in the gym. Its so easy to get in and out!!! No to packed. Plenty of machines to use and get a real good sweat done!!! Actually I think I over did it today lol but no pain no gain right!!! Staff is amazing and very friend and I love how they spray down the machines!! Makes me feel very comfortable and safe working out!!

Clean. Employees are nice. Bathrooms are also clean which is important. No problems here.

I like this location. Lots of different machine. Dont come between 5-730pm cause u will be mad lol to many people using all the machines. But get in get your workout in and go! Definitely helps me loose some of this quarantine weight!!

Great place with great parking! Suitable for all but the most hardcore weight lifters.

I was at this location on 3/4. I had a guest that didnt have ID. Keep in mind I always have a guest and no one has ever ask for no ID. There were other PF staff at the desk that let guest in the club and have never ask for ID. But I didnt want to get them involved.This is the same lady I told the locker room needed cleaning and she told me not to worry about it. Now if guest needs ID thats not a problem. The lady at the desk needs to be trained on how to take care of guest with pays her salary.

Tamara & Matthew are one of the best employees! They always have a positive attitude, which really makes you want to come back. The gym is always clean & well kept! 10/10 recommend.

Just recently started coming back to Planet Fitness due to the Covid layoff. Have to say this place is just as good as I left it. Very clean, nice staff, and no attitudes from other members.

If you someone like me that’s just getting back into fitness this is a good place to start

I like everything about this place except how people break into lockers. SHM Management has to do something about this. When I went to the police station they told me I was like the 4th person that day... & Just a week prior I over heard some people in the locker room talking about the same thing.Update: Management came to me after a while letting me know they had taken care of the situation. Im glad to see they were proactive about this whole thing. Kudos

I’ve been coming into the gym for the last past month n a half as a guest during the night time. Jaylen at the front desk is always very helpful and friendly but sadly seems overworked as he is at the desk and is also cleaning and making sure everything is in order. The night time is my favorite time to go and I thoroughly enjoy working out there. Overall I’d give this location a 10/10.

They follow all the CDC recommendations, I felt safe and comfortable at this location.

This gym is in distress, poor, dirty conditions. Most machines are labeled temporarily out of service for several weeks. Even the power tower is wobbly as one of the legs are shorter than the rest. The staff is ignorant and rude, they are unable to say hello. They just mean mug you at the entrance. The gym and specifically the bathrooms are filthy. The wifi moves as fast as dial up service. There is no water bottle fountain for fast fill ups. Gym equipment is very worn and torn up.

Unfortunately had my locker broken into and money stolen. The mask Nazis are so worried about compliance. But thieves are allowed to roam freely

Good clean gym for the price, great value

The Planet Fitness in Forest Park is way better then what I originally thought, they many machines/equipment that can help you get in shape. One of the problems that is always with Planet Fitness is that the have too many cardio machines. While, if youre trying to train for a Marathon or build stronger lung capacity then thats the place for you.Besides that the Planet Fitness is also in a great area overall. Its so many places around it that make going from place to place, so convenient. Theres a Walmart, Portillos, a Dollar Tree, 7-Eleven and so many other stores that it makes the overall area convenient if you need to get a bunch of things done.

Sufficient amount of fairly up to date cardio equipment but needs a remodeling of the area for weight machines. One can get a decent leg pump but not great space or inventory for chest/back exercises. The locker room is fairly clean but a lot of the lockers are broken. The channels on the tv are set to odd stations, a minor grievance but I would prefer just to see sports and news. The monthly rate is cheap so you get what you pay for but if youre willing to spend more there are better options.

Friendly environment assistants very helpful

Planet Fitness creates the absolute best atmosphere for benners like me really would rather not work out, but know they must. There is something about the culture and environment that puts me at ease and it is quickly becoming my go to, to better care for myself in my advancing years. I enjoy a warm environment and challenging myself at my own pace.

This Planet Fitness has all the potential in the world with such a large space and great location. Ive been a very satisfied customer at many different locations throughout the close area and in Michigan.However, this PF desperately needs some reinvestment. Most of the machines are poorly maintained and dont have very good weight ranges. The Smith machines are also incredibly outdated - a proper deadlift cant even be performed on these and the bars are very small in diameter. Half of the lockers in the mens locker room dont seem to even reliably lock.Ive never written a review on PF before, but the experience Ive had in this one warranted one. Im hoping to see something turn around here because this is the closest location to where I live. But in the meantime, Ill be working out at a different location👍🏼

I am there every morning between 6-8 AM. I started going to this location in November and it’s been a great experience. I am genuinely greeted every time I walk in, it’s never too crowded and the machines remain clean. I’ve invested in “higher quality” gyms that are 10 times the price, yet they have lacked the professionalism I’ve experienced at Planet Fitness. You guys rock!

I am a long distance runner therefore I spend a lot of time on the treadmill. Unlike other gyms there is never wait. Efficient Air flow inside makes a huge difference in my energy levels during and after exercise.

First time going to PF since my foot surgery in December as well as since COVID started in March. Ive been reluctant to going but finally braved it. The time of day that I went (morning) was good. The amount of people that were inside was decent (I guess) I think there was maybe 10-15 people (didnt really do a headcount) but there wasnt a lot of people there. The machines were nicely spaced out. I was especially happy when they had the sanitizing spray bottles for each member to bring with them during their workouts.What I am disappointed in is that there was absolutely NO temperature check when walking through the door or at check in. Gotta do better with that. Theres a lot of people that will workout even with a low-grade fever.

Great gym to workout in. Theyve taken steps to increase safety and minimize risk during the pandemic. Theres plenty of equipment to use. The staff is friendly and helpful. I typically go early in the morning and its not crowded at all.

I don’t know if the whole “you can’t bring a gallon of water” inside of the gym JUST started today, but I come to this gym everyday with a gallon of water, but now as of 03/10/2021 it’s no longer acceptable? Wow.

Low cost, clean and decent variety.My main complaint is it needs another rack of free weights and some more benches. Theres always 50 unused treadmills/elipticals but they cant fit in another rack of weights for some reason.

They are very clean and they are keeping us safe while we are working out. I love my Planet Fitness workers really care about us.

Even members at the club share the same safety concern during this time of covid. if a member is not wearing a mask while passing through the club, and not working out at a station, it gets voiced to staff.

I remember when they were first built this gym. I enrolled at the end of their first year open. I like the cleanliness, lost a ton of weight, gained muscle. However I inquired many times about a personal trainer that they kept saying they were trying to find. I ended up injuring myself due to improper use of equipment and bad body mechanics Im sure. Long story short, went to the doctor who put me in physical therapy for 6 weeks, doc.said nomore gym for me until Im finished with therapy and cleared to return and must workout with a trainer to correct and demonstrate proper exercise. Took like a year off. Gained all weight back and then some. Was ready to get back at it so I call the PF top of the summer inquiring once again if they have found a personal trainer and they tell me not yet. Theyve now been open for AT LEAST 3-4 years maybe longer and have yet to have found a personal trainer. Unfortunately Im having to look elsewhere and probably go a little further out of my way to workout. This location is so conveniently close to my job so it just sucks they dont have a trainer on site to help you if you need assistance.

They have a nice selection of free weights, if they had better battle ropes and maybe different types of workout items other than machines it would get five stars like truck tires and a space when you dont want to use a machine, I would give 5 stars. But Planet Fitness works for me.

Please don’t listen to any words the workers told u. The only thing you need to do is carefully read your agreement to understand everything in there. Otherwise they will not stand behind their words, they only based on the agreement to charge you. Pay attention to when bill is charged and cancellation process

I just wish someone would do something about the creeps staring and taking pictures.

What you see is what you get, if new/better equipment is available nothing get recycled. What they have is all theyll have. You can accomplish a few things but in order Graduate to the next level. Its time to find a new Home. Ive used for locations and cancelled after 6yrs for Charter Fitness.

Love that it is a no frills place where you come in and work out. Plenty of machines that are kept in good condition. Love the acquabeds and massage chairs that relax you after the workout is done!

Love this gym. Very clean and the staff is very polite and helpful especially the gentleman named Dalvin. I definitely enjoy working out in this clean gym better than any other gyms I’ve been to.

Getting to the gym can be difficult but this gym is incredibly welcoming and promotes a fulfilling workout! Clean, nice staff, brand new cardio machines. Good times. Wish the medicine balls were replaced. Also wish I did my homework before signing up, bring your online coupons!

They removed my bad rating from before. They did take steps to follow social distancing at the club and all that does is they covered the machines that were always broken anyway. the bathroom was always gross when I was there, when I brought it up to someone in the front they said okay and didnt do anything about it. it is not worth it to risk exposure in a dirty place with broken machinery

Nice no frills style gym. Staff is super friendly and theres no predatory trainers prospecting the floor. Rarely gets too crowded to get in the work. Theyre lacking a bit in free weights, no free bars, just those ones on tracks which are ok. Id have given 5 stars but two of their four stair machines have been busted for weeks with no sign of repairs coming.

Ive visited other locations and there are a few things odd about this location locker room. No cubbie holes in the shower stalls to hold your soap. How about installing a place to hold body wash, shampoo, etc.? Also, a towel hook. Other locations have a towel hook outside each shower to the right or left. This was not designed by a woman or with women in mind. The location in Villa Park is more aesthetically pleasing

@PlanetFitness horrible customer service at Forest Park, IL location! I cancelled membership today and they are going to charge me next week for another year annual fee? Ridiculous and unacceptable! I encourage anyone to go to another gym!

Go somewhere else! I have never written a review before but I had such a bad experience I felt I needed to. Manager/staff are super unhelpful. Lack equipment especially when busy. Machines are broken a lot of the time. They make it so difficult for you to actually end your plan with them and end up charging you more money than you should owe!

The gym itself its decent. But the staff in the morning, before 12 am, are the laziest and most complicated you can find. I pay for the massaging chairs in my membership and the girl working at 12 am today made me sign all this paperwork to just give me a few mins in it. While the staff in the afternoon are more friendly and understanding, these people are not really portraying what a nice environment/helpful environment should be at PF. On top of that theyre always smoking something.

Good place to go to workout. Some equipment needs repairs. The facility, showers and bathrooms are clean. Lots of folks from the neighborhood use the center. Friendly, relaxed, but also good for serious health nuts.

The gym is very clean and has amazing facilities. It gets very busy at peak hours so I try to avoid going during peak hours. Would recommend.

Well maintained areas, always clean. Locker rooms are well kept. Very friendly staff. Majority of the time its the same employees. They are always doing something unlike other locations where they seem a bit too relaxed. The temperature inside is normally a good temperature with a good amount of airflow to assure there isnt some sort of smell.

Pretty nice gym, equipment doesnt seem to be the best but hey they are working. I have been to better planet fitness locations but I still like this location. Major cons I have for this location is that they are not opened for 24hrs on the weekend which is crucial some of us.

Clean with plenty of space and cardio machines.

I like the ease of access and black card perks (total body enhancement, massages and guest visits). BUT, I think you need to replace the LUNK ALARM 🚨 with a SLOTH ALARM. Sound it every time someone takes more than two set of weights. Sound it when a person sits on one machine with many minutes of checking their phone between sets. Sound it when someone is talking in their phone in the middle of the workout area. I haven’t seen more than a few lunks in 5 years of being a PF member. But I see Sloths almost every time I come to to workout.

It does what its supposed to do. Its cheap & has decent amount of equipment, easy parking and acces. Theres nothing fancy about the facilities but its relatively clean and no one bothers you. About a quarter of the treadmills are often out of order, but you never have to wait for one. Some of the towel dispensers are usually empty so you have to wander to the next one to get a towel to wipe your equipment down.

Lots of equipment, friendly staff, amd very clean. During the busy times it might be difficult to get the exact machine you want, but there are enough similar machines to try instead. I have never had an issue getting a treadmill.

Ive been a member for over a year at the Forest Park location. The location is in a convenient location, safe environment, with a friendly staff! The equipment is up to date and always in good working condition. I never have to wait for the equipment, maybe due to the non-standard times that I attend!!! And the prices for membership can not be more affordable for whatever your economic situation!!! This location gets 5 stars from me!!!!
