Very unprofessional security guards they have at 1600 N. Orchard in Chicago. They gossip too much and talk bad about the tenants all the time. They also dont sign everyone in and out like they are supposed to. They sign themselves. They curse and talk too loud in between shifts. Theyre not trained well at all.

Amazing. Joe is such a great person. I have my final class this Thursday and can not wait. Came here for PERC, fingerprints and training. Definitely recommend!

Even though they couldn’t help me with my out of state fingerprinting need, the staff member very professionally and kindly directed me to other resources. He took the time even tho it was almost the end of the work day. Wish I could have gotten it done here!

7/2/20All three of my checks were wrong. Spoke up about it and got fired. Being sent to Morris Illinois for $13.00hr. Boilingbrook Illinois for $13.00hr. Promised to be paid “premiums” and paid for miles but the checks do not add up. The paystubs are in clear detail that you are not being paid correctly. One of the Security companies to avoid.UPDATE 7/13/20Mike Storey tried to explain that “auto expense” is why I didn’t receive the premium pay rate. The place I was assigned to was less than 30 miles away from my home, so an “auto expense” is not the correct explanation. I was not receiving the promised pay rates not at any day I worked for this company. I just uploaded pictures, so there is my proof. I was not treated properly and I wish I knew how to report this.Hey Jim the 1 Star is because 0 wasn’t an option.

My experience with this company was one I am very happy to share with fellow consumers. After reading the reviews I was wary going in, as I would be with any company. However, the management was always extremely courteous, and quite professional. I know that security guards in and if themselves are like babysitters, youre lucky to find good ones. But the management here made me feel so comfortable and their willingness to work with me to fit my needs was unparalleled. Thank you!!

I’ve worked here for about 5 years, started as a guard, lead, and then supervisor; left for a few years to pursue a different field and was welcomed back when I needed a break. From my first day to my last, Trish and Dave have always been there to help me. Even the newest guy in the office Kamil; was once a guard and supervisor and is a nice addition to the management team. Although some roles may have changed over the years, these three are still the best.

I’ve worked here for a few months and the whole experience has been overall very pleasant. The management is efficient and welcoming and have been with me to walk me through the job as I was first starting off. The people are supportive and welcoming as well and it’s just a great environment to work in.

Veterans can get help in a lot of ways. Lots of good information can be gotten here. You can get your DD214 certified here, to have veteran added to your drivers license. This helps with getting discounts from stickers to retail stores.

You get what you pay for as far as training. Its considerably laid back, and Joe does his best with the material he has available. Its obvious he wishes he had more resources at hand. Oh well.

They are full of sh.t they charge you $70 per finger print for perc card, foid card, and conceal carry when it’s all the same! They say they have open positions in part time and have floaters then try to make you take full time position after you get your Perc card. Guardian Security is way better!

I’ve been with American Security since April of 2016, and I have nothing but respect for the company and everyone who is apart of it. The job is simple if you have common sense, the hours are great if you are looking for work, the pay is well above minimum wage, and it’s definitely a steady job, especially for a college student like myself.

So I was working for American security and this had been my experience as a security guard; I’m going to go over everything from wages to breaks and shifts so hear it goes.ShiftsThe shifts are 11-12 hr a shift so I had first shift so my days were 7:00am-6:00pm that was a 11hr shift and 7:00 am -7:00pm that would be a 12 hr shift my shift was a rotation of these two.So to get there at 7am each day I would have to be up at 4:30 am the latest 5am every morning.BreaksSo over the Couse of my 11-12 hr shifts I had the choice of two 10min breaks or one 20 min break and that was it. If you get hungry outside of lunch you are not allowed to leave the area to go get food or to take breaks, they tell you on day 1 to bring lunch with you. The only thing you are allowed to eat off of a lunch break is some granola bars, or nuts something along those linesWageSo my pay per hour would be $12/hr and I would get some were around 40-45 hrs. a weekMy checks came out to about $600-$700 every two weeksChecksYou only have two options for getting you check that by coming to 1515 s Harlem in forest park il and getting it on a Wednesday with a hour that mark with your last name or by mail there is no direct deposit.So if you don’t have much of a life outside of the American security job and you don’t mind this type of stress each day then this might be the job for you if you would like to do other things with your life like go to school, raise a family or just hangout with friends pass this job up

Bad place to work I worked for them for like 6 months n they lied about the pay rate n then they sent me all the way to bolingbrook for 8.25 n hr my checks suxed every 2 weeks I wouldnt recommend this pl to anyone Mike was my supervisor for a lil while then I got passed on to someone else idk how this pl got 5 stars 🤮

I worked as an field supervisor for six months didnt have company vehicles drove your own car the management is very unprofessional they talk to you any kind of way no benefits terrible hours working 14 hours an day they cant keep an officer pay rate is low I wouldnt recommend this security company to anyone
