Several times have appointments set up that I did not make because the cab did not show. This has happen to me three times, once them showing up two hours late. When they are late they cant give you an estimate they can never find a driver. Cabs should be reliable when establishments start charging you for cancellation they still get paid. A few of the people answer the phone dont seem to care the cab never shows up. They never have drivers in my area is it because I live in a black neighborhood. Became I my insurance sets up my appointment I feel helpless. I even had a driver tell me that the trip is not worth the money. Then a lady working their said that my insurance flood them with so many trips that they cant turn down but my insurance states other wise. Tried leaving messages for a boss never a call back.
I call this morning @8:16am (10/3/2021) to reserve a cab for myself for 5pm from navy visitor center to o’hare airport, the lady who answers the phone from the morning told me that I was confirmed, she repeated my phone number and asked for my full name.For some reason, something was just telling me that I should call back and confirm again since I have to be at the airport, I called @2:37pm, a different answered the phone, I told her the reason why I called, she went over my info and told me that IT WILL NOT BE Guaranteed that the cab I reserved in the same morning will be here on time OR even be here at all… like at all wowwwwwwww don’t even waste your time calling this company obviously they don’t even know what they are doing
Terrible service, they told me a half and hour....an hour passed still a no show, then I call back to figure out what was going on and they tell me they just got a driver and it would be another 15 minute wait!!! Guess what??? The never showed and it was a 50 maybe 60$ ride. Its insane to me but never again. 🤷♀️

They say whatever they need to say when you arrange a cab ahead of time to get you to use their service then the cab never comes and they cant say when it will be there because there are not ANY cabs in the area. Never again. Uber for me from now on.
I ordered a 7am taxi at 640 they sent one right away at 645. The driver called and was very rude with me and said he had to go but he was 15 mins early. Then I called dispatch they said they were working on it. Then I called 10 mins later they said it had been cancelled. I’m likeHow and you guys just said you were working on it. Fast forward I called 3 times before an actual cab was sent out. It’s now 738 and I had to be at work at 715 and my cab is just now on the way. The onlyReason I called was because Uber wanted 70 bucks and the was outrageous! But more the less this happens often even when I put an order through the app!! Come on now guys!! NowMy store is opening late!!!
Id rather take the bad with the good and continue supporting small businesses. When smaller companies like blue cab go out of business. Major corporations like Uber swoop in and write their own ticket. Blue cab is very straightforward with their prices. I once tried to order an Uber for a 5-10 minute trip and the price was $20. People want to get rid of these small companies and when the major companies come in and raise prices the same people complain about that. Pick your battles.
I utilized Blue Cab 3 times in the course of 2 days. The drivers were affable, clean (both driver & vehicle), & courteous. My fares were either comparable to Uber/Lyft or cheaper for the West suburbs & Chicago Westside areas.I will be using them in the future.

Everytime my health insurance schedules Blue Cab, the average wait time is about 45 minutes to an hour, and I have to call them every 15 minutes to ensure they have a driver dispatched.Today I have been waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes...I will update this review IF a cab shows up.*edit* Now months later, I have now been waiting for two hours and fifteen minutes for a cab. I now have to walk 50 minutes or so, to get my destination- DURING A HEST WAVE)...THANKS BLUE CAB!! 5 stars at failing.

Arrived fast, drove me via short road, paid 38$. The other driver from another company 69$, the driver was polite, wearing a mask, gave me receipts, everything what the other driver didn’t. Strongly recommend.

Very bad experience!! I have been left waiting for a ride for up to 3 hours on multiple occasions. Even after booking a week in advance I was informed that no driver was available for me that day. Very unprofessional company as a whole. And these were for medical appointments by the way. Stay away if you value your time and money.

When theyre good, theyre great, when theyre bad, theyre pathetic. Ive used them twice for round trips. The first time was fantastic, they showed up on time both ways of the trip, and very friendly drivers. I was surprised to find another passenger on the trip home but it wasnt a problem. The second time Id scheduled them, they didnt show. I called and was promised they were 10 minutes away perpetually. Every 10 minutes Id call and was told another 10 minutes, this went on for over an hour, causing me to miss an appointment. Had they simply stated they dropped the ball and werent able to pick me up I wouldve been able to contact another company in time. Incredibly disrespectful. Id recommend a more reliable cab service.

Dispatcher will give you a time frame and say they are on their way. When cab doesnt arrive they tell you some excuse and say they are still on the way. After an hour they said that the driver cancelled and now they cant get another one. Its just excuse after excuse and they wont give you a straight answer. I wouldnt recommend using this can service!

My job has a contract with Blue Cab so they picked me up and dropped me off at home for 3 days (My truck was at a mechanic shop🙄). Im truly grateful my job paid for my rides back and forth to work🤗. HOWEVER, the first morning I had vehicle 76 and the DRIVER WAS SO-SO, but that afternoon I had vehicle 44 and the DRIVER WAS AWFUL👎🏾🚫. The second morning I had vehicle 142 and the DRIVER WAS GOOD👍🏾, and that afternoon I had vehicle 165 and the DRIVER WAS EXCELLENT😃👍🏾. The third morning I had vehicle 76 again and the DRIVER WAS OK, and that afternoon I had vehicle 121 and the DRIVER WAS EXCELLENT😃👍🏾. Another thing, theyre PREDOMINANTLY LATE🤦🏾♀️. I GAVE IT TWO STARS BECAUSE I REALLY LIKED DRIVERS 165 AND 121...

Called for a cab at 5:10pm was told it’s be a 15-30 minute wait which was fine because I start at 6. 5:50 rolls around and no cab so I call again and am told they’re just now dispatching my order and that it’s be another 25 minute wait. Ok so I tell my coworker I’ll be late. 6:25 comes still no cab and at this point I am very late for work so I call one more time and am told it’s going to be another 10 minutes before I get a cab I called for an hour and a half ago. I’ve used blue cab many times and have had time issues before so I be sure to call an hour before just to be safe however today is unacceptable and they need to reassess their workers and cab management. If you’re looking for a cab go to a different company they’re a waste of time.

This is a great company to transition to and from with. If you schedule appropriately they can accommodate. If your running late they may be booked with other things. Don’t count on them to be on time if your not running on time.
They said it was an hour wait. There i was over 2 hours and nothing. Mind you I had grosheries. Which was the reason i needed thier services.

Cabs are not always on time, theyre not your private cars that will go a minute after you called. If you dont wanna wait, buy your own car. In other countries, they have to find a cab themselves in the street unlike in US that you can just call and theyll show up at your door.Blue cab is usually what I take when I go to the Airport and I have nothing but great experience with them. Its inexpensive and will call you upon the arrival of the cab.

Blue cab leases and dispatches, the drivers are independent operators. So you get some variety. But generally they are punctual, friendly, and helpful when you need it. Case: left my phone in one. Luckily I recalled the cab number and so borrowed a phone to call dispatch. The driver brought my phone to their office, and they FedEx it to me, overnight. Yes that is service. Kudos to Blue.
Too bad we can’t give negative or zero stars!!! Worst company ever!!! My insurance company used them to transport me to my physical therapy appointments....big mistake!!!!! Last Friday they were a no show, kept saying 10 minutes then 25 minutes would go by, then they had this “it was only one missed doctor appointment”. Then they were supposed to come by today at 8am....at 7:04am, the guy calls to say he’ll be there in 20 minutes, I told him no, not before 8am. He came at 10 minutes to 8, called me and told me to hurry. Then he complained the entire trip stating that the company told him wrong, it turned out he misread the instructions. Then he had the audacity to say that I could walk the 2 miles. After the appointment was over, I called to be picked up and they left me there for over an hour and a half and counting, I had to Uber home. I will be sending them the bill!!
I used to be so happy with blue cab they were reliable, polite, and curteous. NOT ANYMORE repeatedly I have found out that either they reported that they picked me up when they havent even shown or my order has been mysteriously cancelled. This is the worst cab service in Chicago ! This company was constantly late for all of my dialysis appointments.I correct myself,one appointment they arrived 45 minutes early.I wasnt ready to leave,because I thought there was 35 to 40 minutes for me to get ready.So.I complained to the transportation service.This made things worse.They became vindictive and regularly arrived late (1hr+).This made me late and caused the nurse to stay longer then what was allowed by her boss.She was patient and stayed as long as she could.But last Saturday 1/11/2020 Blue Cab never arrived at all.I had to call a cab at my own expense.This was the last straw,I requested a different medical transport company.18$ to get home.I cant ride public transportation due to a severe disability.I will only call Blue Cab if its the last alternative.The worst POS cab service in Chicago ! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.They should be made to go out of business.There is a reason there are so many negative reviews.This company deserves every one of these negative complaints.My first ride to dialysis the driver admitted that the company lost a contract.I can defiantly understand why.With their service thell probably lose other clients.The cab industry is wondering why UBER and LIFT is putting them out of business.Drivers and dispatchers with terrible customer service skills /attitudes.Thank God for UBER.
Called the night before at 9pm for a 6:15 am reservation to Midway. After numerous calls, the car pulls up at 6:45. Female driver wearing house slippers finally comes out of the car when I started to put our bags in the trunk. The only words she muttered were: What airline. Have a nice flight. You better not be in a hurry if you call this company.

You call, they show up within 3-5 minutes, they take you straight away to your destination, they thank you for the fare and tip, end of story.Im not looking for a relationship here, just a taxi. No politics, no funky radio or ethnic food smells, just a ride.These guys are great. Top notch.
Blue Cab is pretty decent to me, but last night I had a pretty terrible experience. The driver couldnt hardly communicate with us, and he wasnt aware of the major streets of Chicago. Those are two VERY basic aspects of a good cab ride, and he couldnt get them right.I understand that its relatively easy to become a cab driver, but I would appreciate that the driver at least have some very basic knowledge of the city they are driving in. A GPS is fairly cheap, and I shouldnt have to correct them for simple directions (Forest Park to Belmont and Ashland).For what its worth, the cab was #91.

Usually use them for rides to an airport, so most often call about 24 hours in advance. Drivers have always been prompt, and polite. Fare is set so not really an issue. Use them almost every time I need to catch a flight.
Peace of Mind Taxi. Id give it 4 stars but the low-star reviews here are too unfair. No, its not perfect: if you are booking pickup at the airport, be ready to wait. Still, overall, Blue Cab pick up at home is quite reliable, friendly, and good value. Otherwise, you can try some dodgy yellow cab or Uber - good luck with that..

EXTREMELY RUDE! Taxi was ordered at 7:55am for 12:30 PM and never showed! Once dispatch was called, I was told that the taxi is sent out closest to the time. I called once again and I was told to wait another 10-15 minutes. After that time passed, the taxi still had not showed up. I called again and the dispatch women was extremely rude! She slammed the phone. We called again and we were told that the address provided was incorrect after we said that the taxi still had not shown. The dispatcher started yelling and she hung up another 2 times. I missed and extremely important appointment because of their disorganization! This is not the first time they have been late. NEVER ORDERING BLUE CAB AGAIN!

Waste of money
If I could give this cab company 0 stars I would, there was on day I really needed a taxi and I waited for more than an hour. The customer service was terrible when I called up to check on the status of my taxi order. And worst yet, the taxi never came. Every time I called they said a taxi was on its way and the last time I called they said there had never been a taxi in the area. Then 20 minutes later the person who had been answering my call, called yelling at me saying do you still need a taxi or not that is just blatantly rude, especially after waiting for more than an hour. A taxi I called 20 minutes before midnight and that I waited for till 1:30 am and never came.
Scheduled a cab to take my mom to Midway at 3:30AM 6/9/18 but they didnt show up. When my mom called them they said they didnt have enough cabs and they would not be able to pick her up for a while....I had to drive her myself at that hour. Will reach out to Uber from here on out.
Never ever rely on this cab service, they are horrible! I called at 7 am to get picked up and on the phone they told me it was about a 40-45 minute wait. I decided to wait because I didnt need to be at my appointment till 8:45 and they were supposed to be at my house by 7:45 keeping in mind they are only three minutes away from me. 8 came around, then 8:30, then 9 till about 9:25 or so they decided to show up! What for! And everytime I called to check where my cab was, nobody would answer the phone. Do not waste your time with them they are unbelievable.

I have used blue cab last 15 years. They had always been reliable, typically arriving before the scheduled pick up time. Around eight months ago and then again tonight, they were abysmally late. I ordered the cab yesterday for a 5:45 PM pick up. When I checked the app at 5:40, it said that the driver had not yet even been assigned. I called the company and was told that they had just assigned the driver who would be there shortly.The worst part of it is that their app told me that Cab would be here in seven minutes, then updated to eight minutes, and then four minutes. I called their office and was told it would be there in four minutes. The cabdriver even called me and said he would be there in seven minutes. When I was finally connected to the dispatcher, she said that he was three blocks away. It took him another four minutes to arrive. It’s one thing to be late, but it’s another to string a customer along. We finally called for an Uber, who arrived at the same time as Blue Cab, which was 22minutes later than expected. Needless to say, we took the Uber. Buyer beware. We are done with blue cab. It’s too bad because I really did want to support a local business and certainly cabdrivers’ livelihoods are in jeopardy. But now I understand why Uber is taking over.
Called this place 4x. 3x no problem. 4th time 145 minutes late for pick up. Thats 1 hour late for work already. I took my son to work wich normally takes 8 minutes. It took 8 minutes. Well cant blame that 1 on snow or traffic. I guess they just suck. Never again. Hope he doesnt get fired for this. Pits 1st time late in 4 years and not his fault. Thanks blue cab.
Worst cab company ever. Left me and my family stranded at Sabens in Countryside after calling and confirming a reservation 2 days in advance. AND IN A RAINSTORM WITH TERRIBLE WEATHER WITH MY FAMILY SITTING ON THE SIDEWALK. Lucky thing the owner felt sorry for us as he was closing up and went out of his way to give us a ride back home to Brookfield.These people never called us back to see if we were all right or to offer an apology.TOTAL LOOSERS.

I placed orders with this company about three weeks in advance i call the night before to make sure they will be here the next day on time.every single time they are over two hours late the one cab driver was asking my wife how she shaved her privates and if we were open to having sex car#121 he was disgusting and now im waiting and they still have not shown its 7:12am i was suppose to have been picked up at 5:15am this place is a joke with sick drivers.

Only giving 2 stars because drivers seemed nice. Otherwise I would not recommend. Been using them last couple days while car is worked on, I work 3pm - 11pm. Dayshift done good for me, not late once. But night shift has been late Everytime. I call 2 hours+ in advance to make sure I got a ride home. Yesterday seemed they forgot my reservation as well as today. I would call after my shift & they say hes 20-25 minutes out. Why? I called ahead for this! Fudge you Nightshift Fudgers @BlueCab. Not getting any of my pennies again.

This cab company is perfect example of why people use lyft and Uber - reservation was made and late by 30min, then 40min then forget about it had a lyft at my home in 1min. Terrible cab can company and awful customer service - called and was told no estimate on arrival could be given. So much for calling ahead for a reservation!

TheIr headquarters is 1.4 miles away from me but it always takes them 30 minutes-1 hour to come to my house. The cab never showed up. The dispatchers couldn’t even get in contact with the driver. I was told that the driver was in my area twice but the taxi never showed up. I will never use taxi services especially blue cab ever again. I hope they go out of business.

WORST CAB COMPANY EVER!!! I called 2 hours early to schedule a taxi to come to my house & it never came. I even called 5 minutes before the time I asked them to come and the dispatcher told me it was on the way. Then I called back 15 mintues later to check where the taxi was and she told me the taxi was still on the way. 30 minutes later it still wasnt there. If youre ever trying to get anywhere on time or get a taxi ever, dont pick this 1.

Hate using them just called for a cab was told it would be 20 minute wait called back after almost 30. Told they were backed up asked for an ETA and the dispatcher(Always rude btw) audibly huffed and told me another 30 minutes on top of my wait. So you get to wait 60 minutes to pay a crazy amount of money and be given a crazy amount of attitude. Really just horrible wish I could give nothing as a rating
We will no longer use this cab company. Drivers are erratic. They also have shown up twice without a full set of seat belts in the back seat. When asked to get the 3rd one out cab drivers say its too much trouble. When I told the manager what happened he was unconcerned and indifferent. What a way to return home. With kids no less.

Have used blue cab for trips to/from O’Hare. I will never use them again. Last trip I reserved a cab in advance and as always called the day I was returning and called when we landed. When the driver finally got there he told me he was also waiting for someone else. ??? I’d waited an hour for my reserved cab and now I was waiting to share it with someone who was getting a ride to... I have no idea where. I told the blue cab driver I’d get an Uber. He said OK. So... from now on that’s what I will do. Uber got me home in half the time it took me just to wait for blue cab. Clearly blue cab has no interest in maintaining business.

Had a reservation to be picked up at Midway. When I called to be picked up, it sounded like they had no idea what I was talking about. They gave me a cab number. We waited 25 minutes, when the cab came he wouldnt let us in. The driver had called me 3 times to tell me to be outside. Then even told me to walk down to the next door because of traffic. The driver said we were not his fare. Called the dispatcher she said we had a new cab because someone else needed the van. We then had to wait another 10 minutes. Last time for This friggin company.

An hour goes by no cab, calls back 30 minutes, 45 minutes go by I call back and they tell me the cab driver picked up someone else and they have to send me a new driver thats gonna take an additional 30-45 minutes.
