The gym and locker rooms are extra clean. Workout facilities, exercise machines, cafe, salon all great. Yoga space is relaxing. Many group exercise classes, some free and some for an extra fee. Cycling and yoga classes available every day, sometimes twice, and they’re very good. However, the quality and choice of evening classes has gone way down, especially the dance fitness. Saturday classes still excellent. The pools have been neglected during the pandemic. They used to vacuum the outdoor pool almost every day, but this year it always has algae, duck feathers, etc. They dropped the evening water aerobics, though these classes were popular. Overall still the best gym and I look forward to going there.
Ive been a member for years. Its great! Clean, and all maintained. The yoga classes are truly worth mentioning though. Ive spent the money on yoga studios and been less impressed. Just the yoga makes lifetime worth the cost

Even though I am parting ways with this gym, I still gotta say that compared to others in the area this one is definitely a great one. You definitely do get what you pay for with all the free weights, benches and squat racks this gym has. Theres just about a little bit of everything for everyone at this gym, for me I was able to utilize the weight room, the heavy punching bags, and the indoor/outdoor pools they have. The staff goes around regularly to make sure the gym is kept clean, equipment is wiped down and weights are re-racked.

This is the best gym I have attended short of the ones on military bases. They have everything you need and some stuff you dont. It does get crowded but they have plenty of space to move around. They have many great classes such as yoga if youre interested. Overall worth it.
I had to drag myself here, literally! But once I got here, and got my blood, and muscles pumping. I was very thankful, and proud of myself for doing right thing for my body. I feel stronger, more tone, and ready to do again tomorrow. Here is to will! Just do it! ;-)

I have been a member of LT for over ten years and although I’ve had varying experiences with employees at many locations, LT has been my sanctuary. The concept, standard and execution of their facilities along with the classes and services they offer are amazing!This location, in particular, is outstanding!
I have been to several Lifetimes - in Illinois and Fort Worth. We really enjoy the Flower Mound facility. It is close, the people are great and it has everything we need and more! I have been working with a trainer (Garrett Ramirez) and nutritionist (Eric Whitman) and have been burning fat. They are awesome! My husband is going to try strength training with Garrett, because I have nothing but good things to say about him and my husband could use more muscle as we age! Our son also is taking swim lessons. Highly recommend!
Called to cancel today and got informed that there is a 30 days cancellation policy which means even though I moved to another location and no Life Time facilities were close to me, I am still supposed to pay for a whole month. Lady who answered asked me to come into the facility to sing the paperwork and told me this was written in the contract which I have never received. When I signed up, they told me I could cancel any time. No one mentioned 30 days policy. Now I have to either pay double for a month or waste time to attend Flower Mound location. Equinox seems like a better choice anyway.
Lifetime has always been one of the best gyms anywhere. Ive been a member in Maryland, Arizona and Texas, with Flower Mound being the least crowded by far. In fact, early morning is the most crowded and theres never any waiting for machines and only once in a great while for a bench. Fees can seem a bit steep but its well worth it if youre a regular.
Clean gym, great amenities, awesome 5 stars for the kids academy, my wife spends about 4 hours every day!! Gotta get summer body!! Bikini season!! Just a little expensive
Okay....this place is nice. I came here with my spouse to see if this location is right for us. I have been a member of my local fitness center for quite a while and this one has twice the activity and twice the equipment available. My spouse and I were given a mini tour of the facility. We went to the fitness class with the bikes. We walked around to take a look at the facility first level, I observed a daycare type facility for small kids or children to sit and wait while their parents were obviously engaged in the classes or workout. I did note that children or kids under 12 years of age or not allowed to be unaccompanied in the facility. There was a family changing area available as you walked in the main doorway just behind the counters. We walked around the upper level to find the treadmills, ellipticals, and the other bikes. We stopped by the spa area had several stations available for clients to be serviced in this specific area. The Cafe featured a lot of big and small types of food and snacks and drinks. The seating area of the cafe was enough so that one would be able to sit and finish a power snack meal and drink before or after a workout. There was several areas around the fitness center that had some seating available. The internet service is bad. I observed a lifeguard sitting at the center point watching the area. I looked outside and there was another exterior pool that was being used by clients at this facility.
Great fitness club. I just wish the 24/7 hours would return.

I was a member for 16 years but until someone stole my money form my locker and management didn’t do anything about it even though their employees are the only people with master keys I complained and complained about their lack of procedure for opening lockers to anyone without verifications but they never seem to care and their lack of procedures allowing their employees to open lockers to anyone without asking for any verification nor noting the time and the locker number they open. I hated to cancel my membership but they left me no choice

I had been a member at this gym for over 5 years and had to discontinue membership during covid. I recently called them to join back and was transferred to member services and told to leave a message. I never heard back from anyone. I visited the gym with a friend using their guest pass and was disappointed to see that they havent done anything to improve the facility and yet are charging a higher price than last year.
UPDATE- As of 07/19 the issues continue and have not been fixed. Please see pictures taken 07/19 on my Gmail profile, 4 images.EVERY water fountain at this club is in need of repair and or cleaning. Little to no water flow out of any fountain. Some do not even drain, see images below. Every other club disassembles their fountains and cleans the interior water supply and cooler to ensure water flow. NOT THIS LOCATION. The fountain in the men’s locker room is not usable. Disassemble them, clean them out, and ensure they flow and I’ll change my rating. It is just gross.While I’m at it, I’ll complain about the condition of the showers and shower curtains in the men’s locker room. This location use to pressure wash every shower twice a day. NOT ANYMORE. The shower conditions and cleanliness have deteriorated in the last 6 months. Black mold can be seen growing on the shower floors and shower curtains. Fix the issue and again I’ll change my rating. SEE IMAGES.Pure and simply tired of the lack in club maintenance.

During the last 12 months lifetimeis no longer 24 hours, the Cafe open less hours, limiting people in saunas, steamroom, hot tub causing long waits. All while continuing to add new members making exsisting members wait time longer. Us members continue to pay the same. Open the club up or cut the rates in half.One last note, the evenings between 530 to 7 pm around the Jacuzzi is like a daycare the so called swimming lessons are nothing short of a screaming lesson . The instructors and the kids are constantly screaming making It impossible for anyone else to relax.

They have taken GREAT steps to ensure social distancing is enforced, the GTX class with Todd was hard and well led, and he took a lot of time to clean the equipment before and after we used it. He also spent time showing us the equipment usage protocols. I appreciate what they have done with our club and look forward to more classes and more areas opening up. Great job so far!!!!

Don’t use this gym. Don’t get me wrong this gym is great in other ways, but falls deeply in some. If I tell the gym to hold my membership - I shouldn’t be required to show - low level staff, my medical records to pause membership. I do say, if you hire someone who’s HIPPA compliant and knows how to handle this, let them do the request. That’s almost illegal.
Gym is super nice, never had any type of bad experience in the gym itself. When it comes to customer service its a different issue. I fell behind on payment because I injured my foot and was place on disability. I spoke to their collections team and they seemed very nice, and were able to work with me. Surprisingly though it was all a front. I spoke to Mr. Kidd and told him about my situation. We setup a payment arrangement, but then they went ahead and charged me the full amount owed. I called them back and was told it is what is it is, and nothing could be done about it because it was charged. I needed that money for the rest of this months bills. Pretty shady and just rude customer service. Andy was nice on the phone but he didnt back up what he told me, which is why I would never return to Lifetime.

The idea that this place is safe to work out in is a farce. I’m getting there when I can as early as 4am. If you can’t get there that early, by 6 AM nobody’s wearing a mask in the whole place, with the exception of their employees… You just have to have a mask in your pocket to get in the front door… It’s a joke. By 4 o’clock it’s a cluster F.
I love going there, just too expensive to keep going and the distance was a little far. Then a new one was built closer at Alliance, when called had a better than you customer service answered the phone and they coat even more than the friendly at home feel FlowerMound. I love them. For the most part Lifetime is a great gym. A gym mixed with a country club feel. Extremely nice and polite staff. All gyms have flaws. For the price you pay the water is room temp at best at drinking fountains. The showers smell of mold. There clean, as they are pressure washed daily... but those drains are gross. Slow to fix equipment is an understatement. Shoulder press spring broke 2 months ago. They put a sign on the equipment saying broke for a week, and then instead of fixing it they just removed the spring from the other shoulder so now both sides are equally broken.
This is for Alejandro in the Life Cafe. I was in a hurry one morning for work and he was exceptional. It was my fault for not realizing the time and he worked very diligently to prepare the breakfast I just ordered. Food was excellent too. Alejandro has great client service skills and I will definitely be back (although next time I will do a better job of time management).
Tried to get a membership today at flower mound lifetime. Aylisa the so called manager gave horribly poor service, asking me to come back later today to get a membership. I was ready to sign up she not only wasted my time, but asked me to come back to sign up wanting to waste more of my time. My advise is to aviod Aylisa in order to get superior service.

I can’t say enough about this specific Lifetime, the people that work there are amazing. I recently left my wedding ring in the locker room and didn’t notice until I got home. I called up to lifetime absolutely hysterical Whitney at the front desk calmly told me she would go and look for it. A few minutes later she came back to the phone and told me that she found it and that she was personally holding onto it until I arrive. It is a character and integrity like that, that makes me happy to be a long time member of the Flower Mound location.Thank you so much Whitney!
Obnoxious gym. Staff is unfriendly and intimidating. Oh! And parking is a nightmare. So, if you don’t want to walk from the back of the parking lot and you want to avoid being yelled at by pretentious 40 year old men in their corvettes, because you “parked where they always park” then I wouldn’t recommend this gym. Also, they made cancellations during a pandemic incredibly difficult and inconvenient.

!!!SCAM!!! This place is an absolute scam and their customer service is by far the worst I have ever had to deal with. I called to cancel my membership in January since I had moved. I was told, no problem, we will get it in the system. Just keep in mind that you have to stop in to sign the cancellation in person next you are in town. I clearly miss interpreted that statement. I continued to get billed so I called once again and sent multiple emails so I had a paper trail that I had notified them of the cancellation. They continued to bill me and then refused to cancel my membership no matter who I talked to unless I made a trip back to sign in person. They even acknowledged that my account was not used since early December, but still continued charging. So, I changed my card number to avoid them billing me.Once I finally got back in town I went in to sign to get them to quit harassing me and they then charged me for another 30 days, which I would have been completely fine with had everything in the past not happened. I refused to pay and they kept harassing and threatening collections against me for a membership that they admitted had not been used in over 4 months. Keep in mind I had clear proof of multiple attempts throughout the prior months of attempting to cancel, which they acknowledged. I then received an email with an opportunity to resolve the delinquent bill for 50% of the amount due. I again called their rep to dispute the charge and they said there was nothing they could do but send me to collections if I did not pay. So to get it over with and avoid any marks against my credit, I agreed to pay 50% even though I did not agree with it. Their rep by the name of Steve S. then proceeded to charge my card for the full amount without my approval. This is complete fraud and he clearly knew that I did not authorize the amount he charged. Basically, I just ended up paying for 3 months (I say 3 months because I am fine with the 30 day notice) of membership that I did not use (which they clearly said they could see that the account had not been used in over 4 months). Avoid this place at all cost if possible. There are much better gyms out there with much better facilities and customer service.
Ive been a member for 8 years, and this establishment has gone downhill over that time. They dont appear to maintain equipment. Customer service is extremely poor. With the remodeling updates over the years it has caused overcrowding at the free weight area and machines. Employees act like they are there to get a date rather than work. Employees hit on my spouse while she works out, which annoys her to death. Im constantly bothered by personal trainers to sign up with them. Im 6 foot/weigh 190 with 10% body fat, I dont need your help. Heres the solution to your business get rid of the worthless cross fit area and make more room for free weights/ machines. Provide employee training on customer service and harassing the clientele for dates or personal training . Maintain the equipment and youll keep customers.
Polite staff, well maintained exercise equipment, and a good cafe with healthy supplements and good food. The pool area is also well maintained. I have yet to find something I dont like in this venue. Also, the trainers are knowledgeable and effective. This is a great place to center a healthy and active lifestyle.

Edit: as of 03.14.20, spa 1 seems clean . Spa 2 is closed and now you got 10 people all pile up in spa 1 with this pandemic. I hope they are constantly checking the hp of the pool and the spas.Edit: as of 02.12.20, it has been 2 weeks that there is black/brown foam on top of the hot tub “spa 2”.For the cost of the monthly membership, you will think that the inside pools and hot tubs will be cleaned more often.
Easily the best gym I have ever been apart of. The staff is excellent and will answer any questions or concerns that you may have. As for the facility itself it is always kept extremely clean because the staff members are constantly working to keep it looking at its best. You may also use your membership at the many other locations throughout the country which from my experience are held to the same standard as this one. If you use the amenities that Lifetime has to offer it is well worth the money.

I was a long time and consistent visitor but finally had to cancel my membership after the monthly rate had steadily increased 45+% over a three year period. Thats a bit much in my mind. Canceling was an easy process; save for one final additional monthly fee that didnt seem quite right. Bottom-line, it just wasnt the club for me any longer.

Ive been a member of Life Time for years. When I started going there it was the place to go with a great outdoor pool and child center for my family. The terrible staff is hardly worth staying. My family had an issue in the cafe, we placed a mobile order and it hadnt even been started when we went to pick it up at the time it gave us. Not that the cafe was busy, they just hadnt acknowledged receiving the order. Then they were in such a rush to complete it they didnt review the order at all, everything we asked for like pepperoni on the pizza, no onion in the tacos was completely ignored. They offered me a free smoothie. Not an appropriate recourse in my opinion. I called and spoke with the cafe manager, a young girl with a bad attitude and poor customer service. Clearly this child has never managed. She asked me to come in the next time I was in the area and she would treat my family to the correct order. The next time I was in the gym I spoke with her and she was asking me what it was I expected her to do for me and I told her we spoke on the phone and reminded her of my situation, and she said very loudly Im sorry, Im just trying to help, I dont know why youre so angry with me! Incredibly unprofessional. I didnt raise my voice I was just trying to remind her of the conversation we had. This kid should be replaced with someone who has a little more experience dealing with customers and can speak appropriately and professionally.
DO NOT PUT YOUR MEMBERSHIP ON HOLD!!!!!! It is a bait and switch deal. You call to cancel your membership. You are then connected to account member service member who talks you into putting your membership on hold. They state that it will cost only $15 a month and you still get to visit the club 3 times a month. The catch is that the club automatically takes it off of hold and starts charging your credit card again. You will get an email stating it is about to reactivate, If you call before they reactivate it, they will put it on hold again and this happens again and again. So, at some point you will forget to call and the membership will automatically activate and by time you realize it has been activated you have been charged another month and then its another month before you can actually cancel the membership. Member service doesnt tell you its going to come off of hold. And yes, of course, it was in your contract that you signed ages ago, in fine print but do you think they bring that to your attention when you put it on hold, of course not. So, Lifetime has a good practice of deceiving their clients. Lifetime will take advantage OF YOU any chance they get. By the way, after I realized they were reactivating it after 6 months I called to cancel, stating I didnt want to mess with this every 6 months. The member services person told me she would take care of it so it wouldnt reactivate. Guess what? She took care of it for nine months but then it was reactivated. When I realized it had been activated I called to get it reversed and that person was no longer working there and I was SOL. The new member service person told me that the member service person who put my membership on hold was not allowed or authorized to automatically keep it on hold as she so stated she would.
Best gym in Flower Mound. Expensive, but worth every penny. Facilities are 5-star hotel level and towel service is probably my favorite perk. My son loves the high-quality wood basketball court, and I make sure I visit the sauna twice a week. The staff, yoga instructors, and trainers rock.
Thus far all seems well. I am completely estatic and absolutely thrilled, to see that they’re doing a deep cleaning of the dry sauna room and scheduling for this.Most of the Lifetime Athletics are pretty good about this. However I have unfortunately running to just to sell far that were severely overdue for some type of deep cleaning or renovations etc, in the dry sauna.Considering how prone areas like this are to mold and that some people can not detox from mold quickly, and that it can take up to 10 years to purge this out of their body completely. I greatly appreciate when this area is not overlooked or forgotten about.Props the General Manager here and other staff for not taking half measures.
Ive been a member of Lifetime Fitness for 2 years now and have been to 3 in GA (2 gold and 1 diamond) and 4 in TX (1 bronze, 1 gold, 1 platinum and 1 onyx) I just want to start by making it clear that this review is not reflecting my opinions on any of the other clubs other than the gold level one in Flower Mound. In fact because of my experiences in the other clubs I know their standards are not up to the usual (any level) club standards. Seriously, even the bronze level club in Trinity Mills was better. Every single time I have brought my daughter to the child center here it has been a horrible experience and I pick her up crying. This has NEVER happened at any of the other clubs, in fact in every other club she has turned around and ran back to play some more when she saw me coming to get her. Right now its the closest club to me and unfortunately has killed all my motivation for going to the gym at all, whereas in the past it motivated me to bring her somewhere where I knew she would be releasing energy and having a good time. The staff starts cleaning up the younger kids area as early as 6:00 pm, when its supposed to close at 9:00. When I bring her there they will literally roll their eyes and let me know that she can play in the bigger kids area since she is now 2. I always put her in the younger kids area anyhow because I look around and realize all the other kids are much bigger than her but for some reason when I pick her up she is always un supervised and crying in the older kids area. I have put my membership on hold for now since I will be moving within the next few months and am hoping to be relocating closer to one of Lifetimes better gyms. Im not sure who is responsible for this, the staff or corporate? Either way the problem should be addressed as soon as possible! Customers do not pay the extra $40.00 a month to be treated worse than they would at another gym.
Do not join, new management does not listen, or care about what the members want. They want you to spend money on personal training, so they are getting rid of group fitness classes that are popular. The past management was fantastic and knew how to keep their loyal members happy, the new GM doesnt care.
I use to go here about 7 years ago. At that time I though this place was amazing. I went here again last week and its so disappointing. They have now crammed tons on machines together. They have classes on the floor with all the other machines so you will never know when you will be asked to move. The walls are stained, the carpets are pealing, there is dirt and hair everywhere. The child care area is scary. There are so few staff in that area that they just ignoring crying kids. We will never return to this location. Corporate needs to go in for a full review. of this facility as its not up to the standard or price point of even LA Fitness. We LOVE the Alliance location. Take your membership there instead! Its worth the drive. Does this location not see all the horrible reviews? What are they doing about it??? Bad way to run a business.

Have an indoor lifeguard on duty, on a Saturday or let me watch my kid myself (which I always do) dont tell me to leave. Definitely cancelling membership.
Would not want to see where people live who say the showers, locker rooms, and bathrooms are clean.Do your own research before joining this fitness club. Read over all the rules and restrictions, come around 6 p.m. and observe the cleanliness of the bathrooms upstairs. This has been raised over and over by numerous members including myself, but the results remain the same.
Facility was good while I was there, but a little too expensive when all I want is to workout. Im not in to the nutrition bar and salon or trainers. Not for me, but good friendly environment.

Have been a member for years in COLLEYVILLE and then moved to Lewisville and still love it whenever I come. I still which it wasnt so expensive but the amenities balance it out. The food selection in the cafe is great and fresh. And I love the massage therapist after my workout when I come. Great company

Came up at 1 AM only to be left standing at the door for five minutes, even after ringing the buzzer to be let in. It wasnt until a fellow member came out through the exit that I could actually gain entrance into facility, just to be harassed and threatened by the operations manager for entering the facility illegally without being scanned in and that the police would be called on me for trespassing even when my member card was clearly visible (and easily scannable, as arbitrary as that would be) and after clearly explaining the situation of his poor level of procurement of the facility. Im Never returning to this facility again, Ill continue commuting to the Plano/legacy center where the staff is worlds better and the facility as a whole is far greater.
My friends and I were refugees from Hurricane Harvey and these guys accommodated us for the week. Adam and Ben are some stand up people, as well as the entire staff we encountered throughout our visit. The facilities were extremely clean and well kept.

I absolutely love going here. All of the staff that I have had interaction with have been wonderful. The facilities are always very clean. There are many options for classes that span morning, noon, and evening. I absolutely recommend using this gym!
The new gym floor set up is a giant waste of space.It is very chaotic and disorganized.Ive been a happy member since 2010 and I am currently irritated every morning I leave.The best thing about lifetime in flower mound is the personal greeting We get from Brian at the front desk. He is awesome.
BUYER BEWARE!!!! I could give no stars, I would but it wasnt an option. This company is money hungry and about making money. When they want your business, they are quick to sign you up, rush the contract and not tell you the fine print and get your credit card number. Sometimes you dont even have to come in to sign the contract for changes that increase the charges, BUT when it comes to cancelling or choosing a lower payment plan, they make it difficult for the member and make them come in to sign the cancellation contract...no exceptions. Theyre rude about it also and if you have a dispute, the manager is busy and on the phone and Im told she will call me back after filling out a form what my complaints were about. She did not call me back and I called and I left a long message about wanting a refund for charges I was not informed me about. She called me back when I was at work (and unable to answer the phone) and she acted dumb on her voice message about not knowing what I wanted. I even filled out a complaint form addressed to her telling what I wanted. I called tonight and she had left at 7pm....I was told management doesnt leave until 9pm but apparently, she left at 7pm. I was given the run around and finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card. This isnt the first time this has happened They charged almost $1000 when the pushy salesperson said I needed a personal trainer (which me and my daughter was not impressed with) and when I asked if I could break down the payments, the salesperson asked his boss who acted pissed off and said they would break it into two payments only.This place is a scam and the club is not that great and certainly NOT worth the price. They do the classic bait and switch and keep upping the membership every year.Also my beautiful 22 year old daughter went late at night and was hit on by two different workers on different days. REALLY? I told her I was worried about her safety there and go to another club which she did.

Removing useful equipment. Update recently they have crowded all the free weights and machines against the wall and created a complete waste of open space no one uses. Now they have alpha classes hogging up even dumbbells. They had a class 2 weeks ago and had at least 20 dumbbells from the general area all stacked up for around 6 people. Completely ridiculous.
Great space and equipment/classes!! On the expensive side but u get plenty for the money

Lifetime Fitness does not care about their members. They only care about profit, and sorely lack in customer service. I paid for personal swim lessons for over a year to learn swim techniques in order to build stamina/endurance. There were a few quality instructors, but most were mediocre, and didn’t engage themselves in the lessons.There was extraordinarily high turnover of quality employees, leaving us with persons of the lowest quality. On a number of occasions, I would show up for lessons only to find the instructor absent, and that classes were cancelled without prior notification. Lifetime does not offer reimbursements for cancelled lessons and instead, offer makeup lessons.Lifetime does not reserve lanes for adult group lessons and many times we would have to wait for a lane to become available for us to swim. This often interfered with our lesson, cutting them short. Lessons were never extended to offset the time lost. When a lane became available, adults would have to share since dedicated lanes were not offered for group lessons. Many times people got hurt by kicking one another or scraping toes and hands on the lane dividers. It was bloody and painful on waterlogged skin.When I finally addressed my frustrations with the aquatics department supervisor, all I received was indifference and attitude. I cancelled my lessons, but I’m stuck with paying for another month due to their 30 day cancellation policy.
