The process was quick and very easy. It is by appointment but i can understand with the amount of people they must help. So calling first thing in the morning i would recommend keep calling until you get through. The people were kind and understanding. They explained everything from start to finish. There wasnt a single person working there that didnt have a smile on! Im grateful i found them!

They do the work relentlessly with wonderful volunteers & not a ton of debilitating, shame causing personal info. Excellent place to bless with resources (food, money, other goods a family might need) or receive food help if youre in need.

They help you get through the rough times and to where you dont stress and worry about how your going to get by.

Delivered food to help

For the most part they all are senior citizens and they work hard. I have experienced nasty attitudes from 2 of them. One day I was accidentally givin a basket that they claimed was made for a family of 3. Well the basket was loaded top and bottom with lots of steaks and chicken there was a huge tasty looking chocolate cake. The lady stopped me then gave me a not so good basket. No cakes no steaks no chicken but i did get ground beef that was turning Brown and cans of pork. I also have a family of 3. I took what they traded and said thank you. I think like most pantries family, friends and associates gets special treatment. And the fresher food. I just throw away food thats not fresh.

This pantry is very generous in your time of need, with perishable and non perishable products as well as toiletries and books and magazines and baby products and the ladies are always so nice

A great food pantry

I enjoy this place. My favorite part is that you can go right in and come right out. Im in there no more than 5 minutes because its appointment only. Its not packed like the food stamps office. Get right back to your day.Youre only allowed once a month but they give you enough to last. The first time i went they gave me a cake which looked so delicious but i didnt want to take it. Several sandwiches that look like they came from quicktrip. Whole peaches. The 1st time i didnt really get any pks of meat for dinner but the 2nd time i did so that was good. The second time i got a pack of pulled pork which lasted 3 days. I. Either made it an entree or a sandwich. They gave me a small pk of pork chops and chicken drumsticks. My favorite part was the big cantelope. I hope i get that next time as well. I even made cantelope smoothies especially for my birthday. They give you several can goods sweet corn string beans kidney beans blk beans. The powdered donuts were by hostess and were fresh. The only thing i didnt like was that they give you cereal without milk but im sure if you request a certain item off that they will be ok with it. They give peanut butter and jelly. So they give you food thats mostly enjoyable. I know some people go to the pantry and be like uhh no thanks for some items because its gross. But im grateful and somethings taste better if you doctor it up with seasoning. Walla. Or mix it in with a dish. You need 2 pieces of mail. If youre like me and hardly get mail you can receive mail from the Jamestown New Horizons. Go to their website and request the volunteer forms to be mailed. Im not saying you gotta volunteer there but they will send you the mail that way youd have something. Jamestown New Horizons is a horseriding place. If you like horses you should go there its in Florissant.

They help people who are starving...we are thankful & humbled...we are 3 Seniors living in Hazelwood...just moved here in January..we love it..but due to us totalling our car in March..we ate now still going hungry every month. We are all 3 on Disability...I just wish there was more non-perishables given. As of today..we are out of food and cash again. Losing our car put us way behind...we are forced to rent a car..& the car payment is $369.20 every 14 days...who can afford this? We have a lawsuit...but the Settlement is way down the road. Any extra food would be appreciated. I already had my monthly visit to TEAM...but the food just didnt stretch. Thanks...TEAM.
