We stopped by the dealership over a month back looking at Tahoes and Suburbans. At that time we decided we would wait a few weeks and order a Tahoe. Fast forward to August and we were ready to order. I set up an appointment with Ryan. I had been communicating with him over the last month about ordering and what was in stock. I found they had a suburban in stock the weekend we went in. When we got there Ryan had the keys ready so we could look at it. He was great through the entire process and we went home that day with my new to me 2021 Suburban. Ryan was super easy to work with and was very informative. Even worked to get us a better rate on our loan. 14/10 would recommend Ryan!

We couldnt have been happier with our truck buying experience. Jordan did a fantastic job of keeping us informed regarding the truck we wanted and making sure we had all the information we needed before driving two hours to the dealership. I had been in contact with multiple other dealerships closer to home but none provided the level of attentiveness and understanding that we experienced from Jordan and the Tom Gill team. This is how a dealership should be! In the past, I have been to dealerships where I felt worse after the visit . . . Tom Gill Chevrolet is definitely not one of those! My wife and I were treated very well. It was well worth the 85 mile drive! The transaction was very pleasant, with no surprises.
My tire was replaced- I’m not a car person at all but I think it was done right although I don’t know if the other tires were checked as I requested. I didn’t not get any type of paperwork about what was done or their findings on the car- this would have been helpful as no one talked to me about the tires. My biggest reason for the low rating was the customer service I received. I was in a HUGE rush because I was on my lunch break to take care of this issue, I am a single mom and struggle to get things done outside of work because of having to pick my daughter up at a certain time and this dealership did not have any appointments in the evening anyway for weeks- I had a sore tire on so I could not afford to wait. Since I knew I would be in a rush I called ahead and told them the situation and if someone could meet me as soon as I pulled up so I could leave with my coworker and make it back to work on time. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and said yes and took all my information over the phone. He said all I would have to do is sign the paper. However when I got there no one had any clue who I was so the communication was poor on a team level. I had to go inside and talk to someone at the desk and one person was able to tell me he spoke to me first on the phone but the gentleman who took my information was with a customer and I would have to wait. Who knows how long that would have been… it was especially frustrating because I called ahead and told both people including the guy I was talking to my situation and they had assured me over the phone but did not do what we discussed and the guy was not pleasant at all. I feel they the paper I needed to “just sign” should have been left with someone at the desk especially because I called when I was on my way and gave and ETA. The man at the desk went back and forth with me and was very rude. Eventually another guy came in and gave me a new paper to fill out and sign. This experience was terrible.

The A/C of my car had not been working properly. It worked and it did not at other times. It worked fine in the morning and did not work at all in the afternoon when the sun is hot. Also I have experienced sudden jerk when accelerating. I brought my car in Tom Gill Chevy service on 7/26. And got the car back on 7/27. I was told that the A/C compressor was failing and got it replaced. Also told that the transmission line pressured was reset.The very next day (7/28) the A/C showed the same problem, I mean it was not fixed at all. The transmission seemed OK but stated to hear strange noise when I make sharp left turns.I was charged for $1,880.58. The A/C compressor cost $474. Tom Gill also charged $876 for labor, which is close to 8 hours. I really wonder why it takes 8 hours for diagnosis and replacing A/C compressor. Tom Gill charged me $1,400 for A/C repair.It is beyond my imagination that Tom Gill charged $1,880 for A/C repair and resetting the t/M pressure line. UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!
Although the vehicle I went to look at was needing repairs Tom Gill got me into a similar vehicle. I feel that the dealership being honest up front about finding out the vehicle needing repairs is the most important thing to me. Honesty at a dealership is hard to find. The thing that really sold me was the free oil changes and tire rotations. You can buy cars anywhere but why would you, when this place offers so much more for the money! The loan process was fast and simple with no push to buy extras. I have two more kids to put into cars and I will most likely buy from Tom Gill again.

This dealership is a scam! I was purchasing a vehicle from them, we agreed on a price, put money down and signed doucuments. I was told I couldn’t take the vehicle home that day and had to come back two days later. The day I was supposed to pick up my new car they called and said the sale price was being raised $5,000 because they felt it was worth more than the agreed upon price (which they already signed the purchase agreement with me agreeing to the first and lower purchase price). Don’t waist your time or money they will just take advantage of you!

I don’t feel the communication is very good. Technician tells us the problem - says they will see if extended warranty will pay them nothing at all is told to us. I had to call for an update on the car and see if they would pay around noon if the next day. Told they would and it would be ready soon. If I didn’t call you all then I probably would have no idea about my car. It was there for almost 2 days. Pure lack of communication on your part.
Great experience in terms of getting my vehicle fixed, and communication from the dealership along the way. Only complaint is there were no rental cars available for the weeklong period it took to get my car repaired. This was contrary to the Tom Gill Advantage promise.

I came in for an oil change and a tuneup. I expected to be asked if I wanted other services, and was given a list of other items due for service totaling about $1400. Not wanting to spend too much, I chose spark plugs and transmission service, to bring the total to around $400. The clerk was kind of pushing the fuel service, which happened to be the most expensive on the list, but I declined, as I needed to keep the cost down somewhat. As I waited, I was approached by the clerk, and told (in grim, gloom-and-doom tones) that I had 2 oil leaks, and that it was in a dangerous place and could result in a CAR FIRE. To fix these leaks would cost $1,700.00, I was told. This alarmed me. The prospect of burning to a crisp while driving down the road, and the exorbitant cost to repair something seemingly so simple as a leak. But, having done business with your dealership in the past, and aware of some of the borderline unethical techniques your associates sometimes employ in order to generate more sales, I also had my BS antennas up. I was asked if I want to see the leaks, and I agreed. As I looked at the bottom of my car, visions of my car spontaneously combusting as I innocently drove to Kroger to pick up some milk played in my mind. I asked the clerk and the technician, “How many of these model cars have this same issue, give me a percentage.” About 50%, was their answer. “And how many people get these leaks repaired, when presented with your sales pitch?”, was my follow-up question. About 75%, they agreed. Okay. So a lot of people out there driving around with this issue, and I don’t hear a lot of news stories about cars catching on fire while driving down the highway (at least not 2014 models, anyway). So I asked my final question to the both of them: “How many times have you seen a car where this issue resulted in the car catching on fire?” Their answer? Never. They’ve never seen it happen, not one time. I told them no, thank you, I did not want this repair, and if I did ever get it, I would have it done elsewhere. As the clerk walked back with me to the waiting room, I told him that I did not appreciate his attempt to exploit my fear in order to try to generate sales. Your clerks start bringing up fires in trying to get people to buy your services, they had better have the data to back it up. I told him that there are a lot of gullible people who may fall for these fear-mongering sales techniques, but that he didn’t happen to be speaking to one of them at that moment.

Took 1 week to get an appointment to service broken windshield wiper transmission. This is a safety concern as the wipers did not work. When I dropped the vehicle off I was not given an advisors name that would be handling my service. At the end of the next day I had not heard back on the status of my vehicle and had to call. The person I talked to couldnt find my vehicle in their system by my name, phone number or vehicle type. I was put on hold and then told that my vehicle RO had been closed out. He assumed that meant it was done. Upon arrival I was given paperwork to check out and a tech was given my keys to pull the car around. I waited 10 minutes for car and then had to go back in and ask about it again. They went and found someone to get my car. Waited another 5 min and it finally was brought around and parked in the front. Very poor customer service and communication about the repairs or timing of the completion.
Jimmy put me in a car when other dealerships said they couldnt. He is a life saver, quite literally. I had to have a new car as my old one was not safe. The process was easy for me, if I didnt understand something he explained it to me. The people I interacted with were kind, and courteous. Highly recommend.

So I purchased my new vehicle on 4/3/21 at Tom Gill Chevrolet through salesman Chris Roderick. It had been decades since buying a new car. The process involves multiple people and a lot of paperwork. Sounds overwhelming to someone unfamiliar with the modern day way of doing things, but thanks to the experience and involvement of my salesman Chris the deal went through with ease. I never felt pressured or uninformed. He stayed with me throughout from the moment I arrived till he handed me the keys. I heard that buying a car nowadays was less than fun. Not at Tom Gill in Florence. They even have a snack bar where I had chicken and dumplings for the first time in years since my mom past away. I was waiting for my car to be brought around while the temporary plate was being applied and even a fresh wash. To my surprise Chris shows up and bought my lunch. This guy is the reason I would recommend buying your next vehicle from Tom Gill.

Wont be going back. Bought a used car, gave us a run around about the oil pan drain plug. It was replaced with a pan saver, the tech tried to call it a quick drain plug. Not worth arguing with them about a $30 oil pan replacement. Just want do business with them again.

While we hadn’t really decided to buy a new car, (with the combined incentives from General Motors & Costco), we found ourselves going for a look and possibly a test drive.We were greeted at the door and offered seat and something to drink while they let Jayson know we had arrived. We briefly discussed the details I had read about online, and Jayson showed us to the car which he had moved inside for our convenience.It was a miserably rainy and dreary day, and, as it was a busy time to be on the road, we only went for a short test drive. Afterwards we discussed the final price. We also found it easy to negotiate with Greg, a sales manager. We finished the paperwork and were escorted to our new car by Jayson and another team member. (I wish I could recall her name but it was raining and a lot was going on with communication when we were introduced). Anyhow, she thoroughly explained every detail of how our car operates, including assisting in setting up OnStar and the GM app.We stopped for a celebratory dinner on our way home. Too easy!
