The technician was right on time, Immediately got to work checking out the heating and cooling system. He discovered the coolant was a little low. He cleaned the filter and added a little coolant. The cooling system has been working very well through out our hot and humid summer. When the technician was finished, you couldn’t tell that he had been here. There was no mess to clean up. We were very pleased with the service we received!

Ive had Steves to our house a couple of times for repairs over the past couple of years and finally had to get a new furnace (it made it 22 years!). They were fantastic through the entire process. There was no pressure sales, only honest assessments of what would be best along with clear explanations of the benefits (or not) and next steps. The two gentlemen that installed our system were fantastic. They arrived on time, were incredibly courteous and it was obvious they take pride in the work they do. We had Steve’s come out to our house because our AC/HVAC system went out on a Saturday when it was over 90° out. We were thankful they were able to send a technician out on short notice on a weekend in the late afternoon, but the technician basically said “I don’t know what’s wrong” then took our money for the service call ($145), said to try replacing the battery in the thermostat, and left. I called back because that didn’t fix the issue, was told I’d be contacted to schedule an appointment for a technician to come back out, but no one ever called me.We ended up going with a competitor, the technician there found right away that our cooling system was almost completely out of refrigerant. Not sure how the first guy even missed that. We felt totally duped when the guy from Steve’s took our money after saying he wasn’t sure what the issue was…that’s totally unprofessional. So glad we found another company to go with who quickly fixed the problem.

These guys are great! We struggled for four years with another company that installed an expensive newTrane HVAC system and they could never get it working right. I knew the new thermostat they installed was part of the problem but they refused to believe me. Steve’s came out did some minor adjustments and replaced the crazy programmable thermostat they installed with a standard thermostat as I requested and it has worked great ever since! Thanks Steve’s! We were freezing in winter and sweltering in summer with the other company. Now everything is working well!

Our 20 year old air conditioner decided that it was going to stop working on the hottest day of the year which also happened to be a late Friday afternoon.I called Steve’s as I had used their services in the past and was very happy with the work they did.Steve’s was able to get a brand new air conditioner and new furnace completely installed by Tuesday.They followed through quickly on everything we had discussed. Installation was very smooth and there were no surprises.We upgraded to a better system which cost a little more, but the house has never been cooler. Even the upstairs temperature stays constant to what the thermostat is set on. My electric bill has also been lowered because of the high efficiency system we purchased.I highly recommend Steve’s Heating & Cooling for your next heating or cooling project. They are the best!

Updated 2: We were issued a refund by Steves Heating and Cooling for one of the services in the past - turned out it was covered by the service agreement. Also the steel burner, that continuously caused issues, was replaced with a stainless steel burner, with no charge. And now we are covered till the end of the year by a reinstated service agreement. I appreciate all the effort to make it right, definitely a good impression. Hopefully if the future issues can be resolved in a timely manner with the technicians answering customers questions, explaining the problem and elevating it up when needed.Updated: Im leaving the initial review for the readers to see the full picture, but definitely adjusting the rating up.After my review I got a call from Steves Heating and Cooling and was approached with a suggestion to make things right. I appreciate the timely reply and adequate reaction to the problem. Will be updated further.Initial review: We bought a new house from Arlinghaus builders, and the very first heating season we started getting issues. The heating wouldnt work. The Steves heating and cooling was marked as the servicing company, so we called them. The issue was fixed, some extra tube for condensation placed (why not install it in the first place for the new house?). Then the cooling season brought problems, had to fix it again. And the next heating season - same issue as the last year. So, having a brand new house with the brand new HVAC we got into serious spending with Steves to service and make it work. Feels like we trapped, they didnt offer a permanent solution, just waiting for the new season to start and drop more money.

We had Steve’s come out to our house to do a full inspection of our furnace. They were very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. I have 100% confidence in their work.

Was not happy with duct placement in new Arlinghaus house. 2 bedrooms have supply duct 2 to 3 feet from door which leads to common return. There is no way this will efficiently cool and heat these rooms. Finished basement has one supply for a 450 sq. Ft. Room. I don’t feel this is enough for that size room. Otherwise installation appears to be very good.

I have used Steves Heating & Cooling for years for my condo. The Heat & Cool checks are a good value and keeps everything running smoothly. They also installed a Clean Effects unit which has greatly reduced the dust and pollen in my home. Worth every penny.

We contacted Steves to come and look at an A/C unit that was not functioning. They were very busy but were able to work us in within two days as our A/C was out and the forecast was to be very hot. The technician arrived and diagnosed the problem and it was repaired the next morning. I am thankful they were able to resolve the issue quickly. Steves did a great job installing a new HVAC system to replace my old one that died. They were very accommodating to my requests and helped me get the best system for my house. They did a great job with the installation, everything wad very clean and professional. I received multiple quotes from multiple companies and their quote was very competitive and a great value for the quality of materials and installation I received.

I dont understand why Brent would show up, assess my needs, promise to have a bid by 6 p.m. and then not do it. After 2 days I called Steves Heating and Cooling, spoke to the office person who checked his desk and said she would tell him, still . . . nothing. He literally gave up potential business to Arlinghaus who followed through. Dont get me wrong, Brent was a nice guy, but I needed bids on a heating and ac system. Steves Heating and Cooling may have got my business but I guess Arlinghaus worked harder for it. And I paid in full!

Steves heating and cooling installed the HVAC and furnace in our new construction home, so I never met the workers, or talked to an employee, that was all on the builders end. But I can say that the work that they did is excellent. I was very impressed with all of the heating/cooling ducts and how tight everything looked. Weve been in the house about 3 months now and havent had an issue.

I had two reps evaluate my old hvac system. They sat down with me and went over the multiple options to choose from, explained the equipment in a concise fashion, and finally, stated what separates Steves from the rest of the industry. I like that they are a family company. The reps were cousins, in fact. And the price was just as good as the sales pitch.Many other companies that I had do estimates were too pricey or just didnt take the time to sit down and evaluate the options on a more personal level. These people know what they are doing. My new unit was custom fit and runs like a champ. Cant wait to see those lower energy bills this summer!

We had an emergency repair to a furnace. My daughter in law pregnant and 6 degrees no heat 2 am. Steves tech came out at 5:30 am and repaired it. Problem is that I recently had another company, well respected and fine work, do a job for me with a labor rate of 62.50 per hour. Steves charged us double time which I understood. However, their labor rate computes to $225 per hour. $150 roughly part and 2 hours labor and travel time Total $988. I think my calculation is close. I was very upset at the time over the amount but had little to no choice. I also thought, probably all HVAC charge that much until my recent experience. It had been a while so I wasnt sure. I would avoid paying roughly 4 times the amount per hour of other companies (that is under normal circumstances) but in an emergency pay about $425 per hour :(

Steves has been taking care of our HVAC equipment for the last 17 years. Their technicians are competent and friendly. Last year we replaced our HVAC and they did an outstanding job. Their prices are competitive and they provided a transferable 10 year parts and labor warranty for the new system. We are completely satisfied with Steves!

I have used Steves for five years and had great service from the technician. They are not a huge company so you will see some of the same techs over time which is nice. I think Steves is a great, local choice for HVAC with excellent service.

Steve’s Heating & Cooling is a company that you can trust. I have a service contract with them to come out and clean my furnace and A/C unit. If you want your unit serviced correctly and not half way then Steve’s is the company to call. They may cost a little more but you get what you pay for. It’s like going to the grocery and getting ketchup Steve’s is ( Heinz ) and the other company are the ( Value Brand ) taste ok but not as great as ( Heinz ). Steve’s technicians do an excellent honest job. So if you want a company you can trust call Steve’s Heating & Cooling. I did after we purchased our 14 year old home and we needed a furnace repair made and Steve’s was there after hours to get our furnace fixed and informed me that the other Heating company from the previous owners had not cleaned the furnace like the service sticker had stayed it and if it had been done this repair would’ve not been necessary . I purchased a service contract and when Steve’s came back next week to clean and service our furnace he showed me that the blower wheel had never been removed and cleaned and the same with the Igniters. I am a mechanic so I know what he was talking about. When Steve’s came to service the A/C unit outside it was the same way stickers on it from the other company but it had never been taken apart still had the original factory zip ties on the coolant lines. Don’t be fooled by another companies low price. If you want the Best then call Steve’s Heating & Cooling. I Did.

We had a problem with our heat pump and Steve’s squeezed us in the day after I called. The technician was prompt, knowledgeable and got our heat pump working within 30 minutes. They are great!

I have used Steves Heating and Cooling at my office and home for several years. At my home, they installed an entire geo-thermal system, a whole house dehumidifier (for the summer) and a whole house humidifier (for the winter).At my office, they have installed the entire HVAC system in a 24,000 square foot building, a 5,000 square foot warehouse and the office itself. They also do the yearly maintenance at my home. I recommend them highly.

Steves installed and serviced my duel fuel Bryant HVAC since 2013. Service techs are always respectful in pleasant and they do the work well.

My AC quit working so i called these guys. They informed me the AC was shot and needed to be replaced for around 7,000 dollars. I said no and asked them to patch it up for now. Afterwards I got a home warranty and the next time it broke down they told me the compressor (or something like that) was bad and it would be fixed in a few mins. The warranty guy informed me that That was what the last guy did too since there was the old part lying under the AC unit. In total the repair cost me 100 dollars after the warranty. I think the guy from Steves was trying to cheat me. I wouldnt recommend these guys.
