One of the better Ys Ive belonged to. The facilities arent incredibly modern compared to other gyms, but they are well maintained. The staff and the regulars are very friendly and welcoming, making it really easy to feel like a regular yourself.

Ive been a member of this YMCA branch for many years. This clean and well maintained facility is centrally located to downtown Fitchburg and is very accessible. The professional staff members are courteous, trained in CPR /First Aid and in monitoring the facility for safety. It is an active branch that serves members young and older. The branch offers many organized activities such as aerobic, bicycling and swimming instruction. A little bit of everything, other activities includes, swimming, free weights, pool, racket ball, treadmills, teen game room, baby sitting, day program and after school teen programs, basketball court, teen Summer day camp and separate womens and mens health club. In the exercise room, wide screen TVs and air conditioning accompanies the treadmills and many aerobic machines. The professional grade state of the art exercise equipment is well maintained and upgraded every few years. The mens health club offers air conditioning, lockers, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and showers. Visitors are welcomed and there is plenty of parking. This is a diamond in the rough health club that should be worthy of serious consideration for single or family memberships when browsing for one. As mentioned in an earlier post, it all depends what your needs are in a club membership. I however have not found a club that offers as much as this facility does for the price. Most insurances benefits are recognized. Heres to YOUR health!
