My husband makes 120,000 a year. I havent worked because I had cancer and my body hurts from the many chemo treatments I had to go through. I dont have very good credit as a resort of being sick. Even though my husband does. 690/700 they still denied us. Unfortunately my husband got in trouble when he was 18 yrs old. He was charged for a violent crime. Once they found that out we think and are more than sure thats why they asked for my ssn to find a way to deny us. They knew I didnt work. Why run my credit?? They discriminated against us. He is 43 yro, an upstanding citizen, finished college and working in the field he graduated in. Were actually relieved because we dont want to live in a place where they said no children live plus the apartment they showed us had absolutely no windows only a sliding door. 🤔 looked more like a basement than anything. They actually did a us a favor and you should do yourself one and NOT go here.

THE WORST ABSOLUTE PLACE EVER! Alyssa Fuller does not do her job at all! we signed a lease a month ago and paid deposit only to get a call two days before moving in and told my family member they can’t move in! Two days before they were supposed to! Alyssa refused to give us her managers name and number along with admitting she didn’t do her job completely. If you go on their website the only comments are ones by the employees. Stay away from this place. Alyssa is not qualified to do her job. No place ever should sign a lease a month before and then call two days before moving in and tell them they can’t move in. STAY AWAY AND KURT IS NO BETTER. Completely unprofessional in every way. A lawsuit has been filed and the attorney has told us this is one we will win. Again stay away from this place.

Lived here for roughly a year, looking forward to the next, and have had a great experience so far. Clean facilities. And Alyssa, the property manager, is very friendly and helps make accomodations for people with disabilities like myself.Would recommend!

I moved to Wisconsin for a job opportunity in July 2018. The Addison was recommended to me by family member and I’m glad they recommended this place. These modern apartments are very clean and are spacious and quiet. The staff at the Addison are very helpful and understanding too. I’ve had to place a couple simple maintenance requests and everything is fixed the next day! The attentiveness and professionalism of the Addison makes the living experience much better. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking housing in the Madison area.

I am in the middle of my 2nd 12 mo. lease and I love living here. The property manager is awesome and super helpful! Other onsite staff are friendly. The few maintenance requests (minor problems) I have made were addressed quickly. Buildings are new and nice, neighborhood is nice with a lot of walking/biking paths. Its a good location to get to both the East and West side of Madison quickly, and to the interstate. I recommend The Addison if youre looking for nice and newer apartments to live in with a pool and gym!

My husband and I absolutely LOVE living here! You really can’t get any better in the Madison area. Reasonably priced with a TON of wonderful amenities that I have not seen anywhere else. Lisa is a fantastic property manager and truly cares about all the residents. We truly have found our home here.

Me and my wife love living at the Addison! We have been here for 2.5 years, and the issues we have had have been small, and they Have been addressed. The utilities and appliances are of great quality, the pool and weight room are exceptional, and Lisa is an amazing property manager whose door is always open! I would and have recommended these apartments to many people! They are very reasonably priced, and they put on parties for us in their main room, as well as provide coffee and candy just to make everyone feel at home. We, literally, have nothing but good things to say about gold leaf and the Addison!

Been living here for about a year. Its quiet and only a 15 minute drive from downtown Madison.Pricing is reasonable, however there isnt a lot out here (have to bike or drive everywhere), but thats to be expected with the peace and quiet.Side note: If you move in and the top slot in some of your electrical outlets in the living room arent working its because theres a light switch that controls them (took me longer than Im willing to admit to figure this out).

Ive lived here for almost 1.5 years and its a construction zone. Im home somedays during the week because I only work three days a week, I can never sleep in because the trucks start up at 6am-7am and its hard to have the windows open and the TV on because of the noise. For the amount of money I pay I feel that there should be a construction discount!!! The amenities are nice and the staff have always been helpful and friendly.

I’ve happily called The Addison home for over two years. The Addison is a true gem: the staff is marvelous, the features are wonderful, and the amount of space and the amenities you get for your rent compared to neighboring complexes is an unbelievable value. And it’s cat friendly! The amenities are fantastic (two story gym with yoga/dance studio, community room, infinity pool, barbeque grills & fire pits, bike repair station, and outdoor seating), the grounds are well kept with beautiful landscaping and prompt plowing/shoveling, and the staff couldn’t possibly be friendlier or more responsive. The property manager, Lisa, is incredible, she truly cares about the comfort, safety, and well-being of her residents. She remembers everyone’s name, unit, their story, and cats’ names, too! She works diligently to ensure everything in the complex is maintained to the highest of standards, and provides ample notice about any changes occurring (particularly around plowing or annual safety checks of HVAC units, etc). She’s always cheerful and professional, I feel comfortable coming to her with any concern I have regarding my apartment or the complex. Any concern I’ve had has been addressed immediately with maintenance performing service either the same day or scheduling around my preferences.I’m definitely pleased with the quality of the features in my one bedroom apartment: it’s spacious, was constructed with care, the insulation holds in heat and AC well while blocking sound from the surrounding apartments, and the in-unit washer/dryer is super handy. I have a huge storage unit right next to my apartment which makes decorating for the holidays easy and there’s always a spot for me in the heated garage. There is a great feeling of community spirit in the complex, displayed during monthly community events (dinners, breakfasts, barbeques in good weather, pool parties, etc.) and contests. The annual Halloween door decorating contest is always entertaining and encourages residents to share their creativity with their neighbors! The Addison is located in a rapidly expanding area of Fitchburg that’s only a 10 minute drive to downtown Madison and 15 minutes to the UW campus, offering the perks of suburban living with a short commute. While there has been construction throughout my time at the Addison, both to enlarge the complex and by the City of Fitchburg to dramatically improve Lacy Road, the construction company has been responsive to complaints and has modified their practices to best accommodate current residents. Now that Lacy Road is finished, the area has become more walkable and bikeable, allowing for easy access to downtown Fitchburg. The improvements to both the complex and the road were well-worth the wait!I wholeheartedly endorse the Addison as a delightful place to live!

I wish I could give no stars but you have to give at least 1 star to leave a review. I am totally disabled due to a genetic eye disease and I let this be known before I rented from Goldleaf. Property Manager (Lisa) advised me they would work with me in regards to disability. I moved to Wisconsin from Indiana to take a job with a security company. Lisa advised me the flooring and new dishwasher would be installed within 3-5 days after I move in. Three weeks after I moved in they still had not shown up to install flooring or the dishwasher. This violated the lease agreement that I signed prior to moving into the apartment. Approximately a month after I started working Social Security Disability contacted me and said they were evaluating my account. Long story short about a month and a half later they terminated my disability leaving me with no way to pay my rent. Before I received the notice from disability the heat in my apartment stopped working so I notified property management. Maintenance came to my apartment to look at the heater and told me they would have to order a part for the heater. After going a week with no heat I contacted property manager (Lisa) to see what was going on. Lisa advised me that maintenance was waiting on a part to fix my heater. This went on for 3 weeks, maintenance installed the new part and the heater worked for approximately an hour. Maintenance ordered another new part and I went without heat again, this time it was about 1 week. My rent was not adjusted at all when I went without heat. I notified Goldleaf to let the property manager (Lisa) know that Social Security had terminated my disability. I advised property manager (Lisa) that I would be moving out of my apartment because I dont want to take advantage of anyone. I continued paying the rent as long as I could, which was 2-3 months. I was able to due this by selling my personal property to make the rent and utility payments. During this time Goldleaf was suppose to be trying to sublet my apartment. I had signed the paperwork allowing Goldleaf to sublet my apartment immediately but found out they had rented several other 2 bedroom apartments instead. When I asked Lisa why that happened she stated I didnt know if you still wanted us to sublet your place. I asked Lisa if I had asked her not to sublet my apartment? Lisa answered no you did not, I advised Lisa how pissed off I was and she said Im sorry. Approximately 2 months after I had moved out I went to my old apartment to check for mail and found an eviction notice stuck in the door of my old apartment. Approximately 3 months later I received a bill from Goldleaf for $5,420.41. This bill was for back rent, apartment cleaning, carpet cleaning and utilities. I had paid all MGE utility bills, I cleaned the apartment very well when I moved out and the stains on the carpet were from the company Goldleaf hired to put in the new flooring. Head of maintenance for Goldleaf (Greg) noticed the stains on the carpet from them and he told me he would make sure management new about it. I have very limited income because I am disabled but I still tried to work with Adam from Goldleaf to take care of this bill. Adam contacted me on Friday and advised me they would be filing with small claims court to sue me for the money owed. I asked what about our conversation on Wednesday and Adam stated they are not willing to wait for the money I owe to be made by payments. Im very disappointed they were not willing to work with me after they said they would. This is not my fault, this is due to a huge flaw in our government (Social Security Disability
