Apparently I just found out that Trugreen bought Unique lawn care. Or at least their weed business. I only realized this after receiving a past due notice when I didn’t even realize that they came. As you can see from the photos. This is what my lawn looks like after the switch from Unique to Trugreen. Either no-one has been showing up, and they have just been billing me. Or whatever product Trugreen is using is complete garbage. The photos kind of speak for themselves. My lawn has looked like this the since the spring when they apparently took over.I also attempted to call and figure out what was going on, and got a voicemail. So, customer service is also very lacking.

We used True Green for 3 years, our grass never turned green. We complained a few times giving them a chance but we are done.

Ive been calling TruGreen for 3 weeks and no one seems to want to help.... until I posted this. well, heres a photo of what a service tech did to my brand-new sod. after I brought it up, it seems like they are giving me the run around. I would think this would be an easy fix but, I guess not. CAN SOMEONE FROM CORPORATE HELP WITH THIS???

Don’t even bother calling them. As a new customer, I was promised services within 7-10 days. On day 10, the tech arrived and apparently both of her backpack blowers were broken. She told me she’d reschedule within a couple of days, which didn’t happen. I called to follow up and was again promised service within a couple of days, which again didn’t happen. After they cancelled on me a third time, I canceled my services. Communication and follow-up was abysmal. Save yourself time and trouble and find another company

Do not waste your money. These people and their services are a joke. I prepaid the entire year of services on their top tier package along with their seeding and aeration. They apparently came once which I cannot confirm or deny. The following week they came to overseed and aerate. I came home later in the day and found they completed the aeration, however proceeded to leave the cores from the aeration all over my sidewalks leaving me to clean their mess. Also I found seed in a 1sq foot bare area next to my sidewalk and none anywhere else throughout my yard. I called to talk about the lack of seed that I paid $200 for, they apologized and scheduled a day to come do it again correctly. They were to come today (9/23/21). Luckily I was home. I received a text at 0841 saying the technician had arrived as I was sitting on my porch. No one had arrived. I received another text at 0853 saying they completed the service and got the PDF stating they seeded my entire yard, all the while Im sitting on my porch. Now unless this con company has ghosts working for them with invisible work trucks, no one ever showed up. I can only imagine how many customers this is done to on a regular basis. They will no longer be on my property again. Do not waste your money on these a-holes.

Just a complete pain to work with, they lie, and will take your money. I have used them at previous residents with no issues, so I pre-paid for 9 treatments + aeration and seed. They consistently missed appointments, would mark appointments complete without actually going to our house, watched them sit in their truck multiple times and never get out then drive off and mark it treated. They decided it would be a good idea to aerate and seed right before a snow storm so they said they would provide a free service in 2021 to make up for it. I had 4 services left on my account and the aeration when I moved, they said they would transfer the services and instead removed my old account... I asked them right when they did it where my information went on my account and they said they are transferring it. Turns out they just deleted everything and now wont share my previous service information. They literally deleted everything from my account in 2020 except that I had paid... I can no longer see previous services or anything.Now after two weeks they are saying everything is complete and if I want the pieces I mentioned/paid for that Id have to pay again. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional group and disorganized company than this experience, they literally STOLE my money... based on how much was left and what was promised they took around $300 from me. Highly recommend doing it yourself or finding another competitor. If you do decide to work with them try and get them to send you things in writing and not through your account as they will delete pieces to ensure that they keep your money.

They may have the science, but their customer service & accountability for results are horrendous. If you dont call & followup when things arent right, they wont care enough to correct it themselves. Really a shame for such a well publicized company to not deliver on their reputation.

Lost me at the quoting process. Employee was very unprofessional and misogynistic with me after I told them I wanted to discuss the decision with my wife before purchasing. Literally suggested I just get my wife a visa card for her hair and nails and I should take care of the rest.

3 Times they said they would come out and never showed up. Lawn looks worse than ever since they started “taking care” of it. Weeds completely out of control. They came out once this entire summer. It’s a shame this business survived the pandemic but so many better ones did not. Will never be hiring again.TO TRUGREEN: Don’t bother trying to contact me, your shoddy service is irreconcilable. You told us you would give us a free lawn treatment if your services didn’t work, but you never even showed up for the paid appointment. I hope your families know what bottomfeeding scam artists you are.

If you want a company full of excuses and empty promises trugreen is the company for you! With the amount of BS MANURE they spew you would think my yard would be green and beautiful, but they have to come to your house first. I get excuses of they could not perform your service because your gate was locked... I do not even have a fence much less a locked gate. Its been over 8 weeks since they treated my yard and now my backyard is full of weeds.

Stole $180 dollars from me. Service was never completed. Impossible to get a refund.I scheduled seeding for spring. They scheduled for August. I requested refund. The original card had since been cancelled. They said they would send a check. Month later, multiple customer support calls that have 3 hour wait times later, and still have not been refunded. Their customer support systems are woefully inadequate.

I was told they were spraying my lawn on Friday. Its Monday and they are still not here. I called to determine when they were coming. They put me in the call queue for 2 hours. They did call back but the rep was having computer problems and transferred me. I was then told it would be a 3 hour wait. So a total of 5 hours to learn when they will be spraying my lawn. Very poor customer service.

Did not treat my yard 2 weeks ago because our dog was barking at him from front door. I called and they promised to come out within 3 days. They have still not come back. I am not very happy.

We love Trugreen. A nearly weed-less yard didnt happen immediate but after a few years, our yard is beautiful.

Was outside and seen truck go by house. Stopped 2 doors down didnt get out. However got a bill for service 2 days later. Customer service the worst, kept passing me around. Been a customer for 15 years and now wonder if service was always done when said.

Used TruGreen all of last year. I think they showed up 1 time on the date they were actually scheduled without rescheduling. I still had so many weeds at the end of the year. I called and complained and they came out to do just a weed spray for no charge and finally killed my weeds. This year I knew I did NOT want to use them. I’ve been trying to call for nearly 3 months now to cancel so I keep having to reschedule the service because you can only cancel on the phone with them. Everytime I call for my account it says 3 hour wait. I’ve left my number to “hold my place” in line and never received a call back. I just called the new customer line because I assumed they would answer at first ring which of course they did. The first call they hung up as soon as they answered and didn’t say anything. Second call, I could HARDLY hear the guy and told him my issues and needed to cancel and he said alright and put me to a Spanish speaking line? So I called AGAIN and could tell it was same place by the background noise and I told the lady and I wasn’t happy at this point and she interrupts me while I’m still talking after 30 seconds of her answering and says it’s done I got it cancelled. Haha this place is a JOKE. Do not recommend. TERRIBLE service and unprofessional. I’m using my husbands google account, so if they try to say I’m not a customer. That’s not true.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with any company. After prepaying $100’s to get several treatments for weeds and mosquitos, we thought the mosquitos weren’t quite being taken care of and trugreen offers and respray of this happens. I called May 17th for the respray and they said they would be there the 21st. The 21st comes and no one shows up. I call the 22nd and they say “oh no, it was for the 26th”. The 26th comes and no one shows up. I call again and they said “oh no, it’s the 28th”. This whole process happens again on the 28!!! And they are now telling me it’ll be June 1st.Throughout this whole process, I repeatedly ask to speak with a manager. I get told that they will call me back, which has never happened. Or the rep just hangs up on me right then. So with all the issues after our first and only treatment, I cancelled and asked for a full refund. I then had to explain to the rep what all I paid for and how much I paid before she would get the refund amount correctI would highly recommend going with a more reliable and professional company. Because TruGreen is by far the worst out there!!

DISHONEST! I have cameras all around my property so I can view them from the moment they pull into my driveway until the time they leave. Twice they said they sprayed the entire yard but my video shows they only sprayed half yet billed me as if they did the entire yard. This last time the driver literally pulled into my driveway and got out of his car and put a bill on my door and left and never did anything. It is one thing to be bad at your job and incompetent but to just be a dishonest business is fraudulent. A friend also had a similarly bad experience where they billed him and said they sprayed but the time they said they did that was during a thunderstorm. Stay away from this company! DISHONEST!

I didnt get a chance to use their services because they never showed up. I called about 5 weeks ago and they said theyd have someone out to my house within a week. Never heard from anyone until today when someone called to ask for feedback about the service I received. I will call someone else for my lawn needs. Id give less stars if I could

After deciding to prepay $650 last spring to treat my yard for a year, it looks absolutely no better in any way than it did before. Several times throughout the season, I experienced technicians who never completed the job as stated, several times with them not even leaving their trucks before marking the job complete! In particular, with my overseeding and aeration, which cost approximately $300 alone, neighbors and my Ring doorbell confirmed that the technician never even left his truck before marking the job complete. Obviously you can tell when a job has been aerated, as there are dirt plugs all over your yard. There was not one plug or proof of work in my entire yard. After I called customer service, I was scheduled for a free redo, which I found comical considering the fact that I had paid heavily for a job that had not been completed. Upon arriving for the free redo, the technicians laughed and noted that obviously no work had been done before, and they had no clue why it had been marked complete. In addition to the aeration and overseeding, several lawn applications had been marked complete when no work had been done. I just called customer service to indicate this after todays application, which will be my final application, and I was given a two and a half hour wait time. What a business. Extremely dissatisfied, and I will highly discourage connections to look elsewhere for their lawn care services.

The tech came out to fog the yard for Mosquitos. The tech got out of his truck, walked up the sidewalk, fogged the flowerbeds in the front. Then the tech returned to his truck and sat for 10imutes and left saying the job was completed. The tech did not go down the side of the yard, the back yard, behind the fence, or the right side of my property. This was my first service since signing up on 5/3 and it was a terrible first impression. If I was not working from home I would not have been the wiser, this is fraudulent behavior, and is stealing from individuals not being able to keep an eye on their yard while away. Called and canceled immediately and yet they were still trying to charge me for the application. I would say avoid tru green at all costs, as they will skimp on the job and sit in the truck while you get charged money for no work being completed.

Absurd wait times. Poor communication

We used TruGreen for a year before realizing we were being ripped off. Since I went on leave of absence from work I had been home when our service tech worked on our yard. I noticed him in the front yard and waited but he never went to the back! This happened multiple times. Our yard is .25 acres with 80% of that being our back yard. Therefore we were paying $50 ish some dollars for them to apply weed and feed to like .10 acres. Taking money for a service and only doing 1/4 of it is stealing. I never leave bad reviews, but this truly angers me.

Watched one guy barely spritz a tree. Another time never sprayed bushes. Another only spread stuff on the perimeter never hitting the problem areas. We’ve addressed this issue many times. Prepaid for services and having trouble talking with someone who can speak clear English to ask about refund. We’re done. Won’t be using them next year.

Just let everyone know that I got taking care by Jason, he war very positive to help me, now I do have so much better feeling, I am trying to back to your guys in the near future,

Ill be honest - I used TruGreen when I lived near Lafayette for many years. Always had a beautiful yard and the crew was knowledgeable and helpful.I moved to Fishers and have been using this branch for two years.The crew is VERY unknowledgeable. They have no clue what they are treating for or what their chemicals will kill/grow in your yard.I have so many clovers, crabgrass and other weeds in my yard than I ever have in the two years.They came to do a Free weed treatment and I asked the driver prior to the application what he was putting down and what he was treating to today. His response was Im told im treating for crabgrass but im not entirely sure what they have in my truck or backpack todayI was highly disappointed in this response.My suggestion: Find a nice locally owned company that will personalize your treatment, not give you a blanket treatment like they are doing.Contact Master Lawn, Tuff dogs etc.... Not to mention TruGreen is twice the cost as the local guys.

From start to my eventual refund nothing was handled correctly. From the quote, billing, or application. After my refund for the wrong amount I received an email with a 79.00 BILL over a week after the refund was requested. Ive spoken to 6 different people, with different responses and information. Forget asking for a supervisor or manager, they just pretend not to hear that.Please, if you are looking for someone for your lawn care needs, pick anyone but TruGreen

Makes our lawn thick and a nice shade of green compared to our neighbors. Downside is we have to cut it more often.

Signed up for an annual program and less than a week later was so displeased with both the service quality and responsiveness (of one service!) that we already cancelled the program. Avoid if you want quality

They use to be good. They have gotten worse. Billing dept. Has gone down hill. Grass application is suspect. Still have weeds.

Technician literally just left. I watched spray about 10ft of my front yard, walk his hose to the back corner of my back yard and watched him spray roughly 10ft of my back yard and leave. He didn’t spray a 1/4 of my front or back yard. Pure laziness! I called into the Fishers, IN office to report and they scheduled me for a redo service free of charge. If one of these guys are doing this I’m sure more are so keep your eye out. I will be for now on that’s for sure. If it happened again I’m going to cancel and go with someone else.

Good service, you notice improvement in the look of the lawn after a few visits. You can check detailed information of the services online, they offer an automated reminder call the day before an scheduled visit. They could be more competitive with pre-paid plans

The serviceman thoroughly analyze the condition of my lawn when he comes out each month. Also, the Trugreen program is well organized so that the correct fertilizer/weed killer is put down each month throughout the year based on the seasons.

Mosquito treatment is absolutely wonderful as they are bad where I live, I will get this treatment for years to come!

Last 2 times they came out they only did a portion of my yard. Why pay them and have to additional weed pulling and extra spraying yourself?? Put in all brand new sod and if I could post a pic that would explain everything. Used their service for a year and a half and will not be using them again.

True Green Fishers Indians came a week ago and turned a well earned green lawn into a bright, striped, neon yellow, tracked mess. I wish I could post pictures on here. I was devastated and immediately contacted customer service- it took filing 3 complaint before anyone acknowledged my complaint, and then I was told it was sun damage. It is very obvious damage from over fertilizing- too much nitrogen streaked my lawn- almost looks like paint! This place puts garbage down to charge that reoccurring revenue- it’s just a marketing scam not an honest company - I cancelled my service and feel completely ripped off. They should pay to repair the damage- horrible product service, horrible customer service, deceptive business.

**Public service announcement**If you see this truck on the road get as far away from it as you possibly can!!!! It pulled out of a parking lot Saturday cutting two people off and then coming within inches of hitting the car of our car as he ran us off the road. Tregreen needs to do a better job checking out there employees before they put theses drivers on the road that has no regard for anyone’s safety!!

Our specialist Yoshiro White has done a great job with our lawn. On his first visit, we spoke before and after the service, and he let me know what he did to the front yard. He recommended a service call for our backyard which was overgrown with violet. He came out with a truck and left a handwritten note that addressed me by name and mentioned that the dandelions and clovers in our front yard were almost all gone. It was a nice touch that showed he paid attention to our lawn and wanted to give us great customer service. We are very happy with TruGreen and would recommend to our friends and family.

Some of the worst customer service Ive ever run into. Will hide charges- come out to your house without your approval, treat your yard then bill you after your prepay runs out. Shady practices then customer service acts like there is nothing they can do except talk to a manager who are never available and may call you back like 3 days later, maybe. Im not sure how theyve run a business like this for this long but Ill be sure to spread the word to everyone I know about how deceitful they are to couple with their garbage, rude customer service. They act like they have no competition- avoid at all costs!!

I have had this company for years and would never go without treatment. Yes sometimes the summers are very hot and dry and the lawn is not going to look good, but recovery in the fall is much easier with their continued service. I have been with them for over 10 years now and hey if you have a legitimate issue, call them. They will help you out.

I signed up for an entire seasons worth of lawn applications, and I am very disappointed in the results Ive gotten. I still have many weeds and there are large patches of dead grass. The lawn looks much worse than last season when I applied fertilizer and weed killer myself.

I have had this service for 3 years and still DO NOT have grass in a lot of areas that I have asked for like I said for 3 years! The people I have spoke to about this issue this spring and have come out to look have been the rudest people I have EVER encounter. The customer service has left me with discontinuing with them and going with SCOTTS. I have my own business and will make sure I let EVERY customer I have know about this service from this point forward. If I could post pictures on here I would because I have proof.

If you would like to see a real Tru green lawn please contact me, I have explained to the Fishers and corporate offices that I have the worst looking yard in my neighborhood after a year and a half with this company. I finally had to pay and cancel my account so they would stop killing all my sod. I will now need to reseed a majority of my yard. If someone from this company can get me the largest Tru Green flag, I would proudly fly it in my front yard.

They did as was asked of them. They called in advance so we could make sure our animals were in.

Burn spots all over my backyard and a couple in the front. They didnt charge for the service but acted as though they were put out about coming to inspect the damage they caused. They were to give 24 hour notice about coming out a second time but did not. Then, they were upset when they came and couldnt get in my locked gate. Rude service and poor results. Just my experience, perhaps yours may be better.

Absolutely horrendous service. Spoke to a representative concerning the issue of growth in my backyard. They guaranteed that I would see a difference in my lawn and that I would see a difference. I have seen no difference in the lawn with their treatments and they even had to credit my account because I was seeing no difference. Coming up on the aeration, I once again addressed my concerns with my back lawn. They then tell me that there is no guarantee that I will see growth in my backyard. Which makes me wonder why I’m paying for a service when they tell you that satisfaction is guaranteed. When speaking to the representative, they didn’t even remotely act like there was a chance for growth and just told me that they are sorry but there is no guarantee I will see any change. So here I am with money down the drain for their treatment services that did absolutely nothing to my lawn. This is possibly the worst service I have ever received from a company and advise people to stay away.

Trugreen is a excellent company where they make your naturally beautiful lawn a level above what mother nature dont have time for. The specialist there are well educated and are very friendly. Its like having your own lawn doctor to make sure your home looks and feels its best. I give it up to the hard working men and women that make there living producing such a earthy service.

05/25/2019 We find tick on dog who is ONLY in a fenced yard. (Yes, we use flea/tick treatment on our dogs.)05/26/2019 Call Trugreen. Tell representative we want our yard treated for FLEAS and TICKS. We are told that someone will come out in 3 days to spray. We are signed up for mosquito defense - my husband clarified is that for fleas and ticks? Oh yeah, sure!05/29/2019 I have my husband call the day before service and confirm this mosquito stuff is for FLEA and TICK. Why, yes! The representative from Trugreen tells us it is all one application. Fine. (Call logs o recordings should easily verify this!)05/30/2019 Tech sprays everywhere BUT the dogs yard. Literally the only place we care about. I call. They send another tech out the next day.05/31/2019 I notice on the website they have an actual Flea and Tick service. Why then, are we getting mosquito guard? Husband calls back and asks again. Is this for fleas and ticks? This representative puts us on hold while she asks someone. At this time, they tell us that NO! The plan does not cover the one thing we specifically requested!We were then told they would try to switch us over to the other plan (which costs more!) For the same price, but we have to call back Monday (06/03/2019) and check on the progress. Oh, and itll be at least a week before anyone comes back out.On 06/07/2019 someone finally came out and actually treated for fleas and ticks. Its now getting close to another treatment and the website tells me the next appointment cant be scheduled online and that we have to call.As a side note, this past weekend the front of our home which was sprayed by a technician was absolutely covered in THOUSANDS of mosquitoes. I have never seen anything like it before. The issue seemed only in the area they sprayed, and miraculously the rest of our 6 acres was normal. I have to wonder if thats somehow related to the spraying they did initially.As of now, we will most definitely use another company or product next year.Will update this review as the situation continues.

Had very specific instructions to call before every application. I had just overseeded my whole yard, having it aerated in a few days and they came and sprayed my lawn, ruining close to $200 worth of seed. I brought this to thier attention and have heard no reply from them. Too many other lawn care companies around willing to do a great job to continue using. them. I had Signed up for a year of service in 2015, I was not really satisfied with service, as I still had a large amount of weeds in my yard. I was then asked this spring if I wanted to continue service. I politely denied further service. I now have discovered that I have been billed for services this year. My account has now been sent to collections! I discovered this while attempting to re-finance my home. I have now been on the phone over 30min and being tossed around like a hot potato. I highly recommend looking at another company.

The techs are nice if you get to know them

I am very disappointed in their service. I have had a chemical spill and still have weeds in my yard to this date. I was told that if I had to call them back out due to having to do another treatment due to me being dissatisfied that there would be no charge for the service. That is not true at all, in fact i have been fighting with Truegreen since June 22nd about the treatment they applied. I have told them that I will pay for the tree and shrub service but not the lawn treatment. My neighbor has also canceled his services with them as well due to horrible service. The techs do not know what they are doing and the branch manager are always changing. Just an example, this year Trugreen had to have a tow company come to a neighborhood and pull the aerator that the tech drove into a retention pond. Trust me dont go with just a name, they do not care about their customers. SHOP AROUND!!! Also they are always trying to up sell you on different services.

The worst company you can find, worst service, my lawn never looked that bad. After that, I canceled my service with them, and for three or four months they kept charging me for a service they never did . Dont work with them .

I have been a trugreen client for 8 yrs. I started out with a beautiful bluegrass (sod) and i have an expensive irrigation system.My lawn has never looked so bad. I am so dissapointed. I even called them in early June when i first noticed the browning issues. It took them over 1 month and 6-7 calls for them to guess what the issue might be meanwhile my lawn continues to brown out and die. They should resod my entire backyard for their inability to correct this issue. If i had a do over i would have gone with a different company. Do your research prior to signing up with trugreen. Just to add i also recommend trugreen to my neighbors years ago when my lawn actually looked good.they all signed up.. seems the quality in my experience has gone down in the last several years.. very dissapointed!

Terrible service. Prepaid over $150 and they never put me on the schedule. After a week I finally got on the books and they no-showed twice on me. Terrible company, very bad service, excuses out the door, super bad all the way around. Would rather eat firewood then use this company for anything.

Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever received. Paid for an aeration and seed. They came and aerated 3/4ths of my and didn’t seed any of it. Called customer service, they then scheduled for the same guy to come out and fix it, he then aerates the part of the lawn he missed before, and only seeds that same part, so 3/4ths of my yard is still not seeded. Call again and ask to talk to the local office, the manager says she will put in another order. Of course they send the same guy, who does nothing and has the audacity to write me a note saying he has aerated and seeded my lawn twice and isn’t doing it again. Stay away! No accountability!

These guys cant seem to get it together. Dont call the day before like they are supposed to, reschedule appointments without notifying the customer and left me waiting for them one morning. Ive cancelled my service and they keep coming out. I advised the guy who came to treat the yard and he said ok. He turned the ticket in as a reschedule. Canceled does not equal just come back another time. They treated twice in two weeks. I would definitely NOT recommend!

Worst lawn service we ever used. Killed a lot of our front lawn tryed to blame fungus. Fungus doesnt grow in squares. The guy poisoned it. Used To much chemicals. Called to quit service the didnt ask why didnt care. Dont waist your money. They did the same thing to my neighbor.

Absolutely awful. Not responsive. They went to the wrong house twice and performed our service there. Continued to correct them and they finally got that problem straightened out. Next issue was our overseed and aeration service. It was scheduled and cancelled five times, without anyone calling us or telling us they couldn’t perform the service on the day it was scheduled. We tried getting a hold of a manager, anyone, but no one could give any answer or response as to what was going on. Go to any competitor of theirs and I guarantee you a better experience. Avoid at all and I mean all costs! I would give them a negative 3 stars if that was an option on Google Reviews.
