By far, the most professional, knowledgeable, caring vet and staff we have in the Indy area! We have had some very traumatic experiences with our anxiety ADHD pup at our previous vets and the staff at Windermere went above and beyond to pair with our pup, make them reinforcing, take our needs into consideration, and establish a good rapport with him. We are very pleased with them and are excited to have a reliable vet that would never harm our precious, somewhat spoiled, fur baby :)
Shadow was a very very Ill puppy when we received him an I thank the staff an doc aronald for all the help and assistance an dedicated work they helped us with to get our baby back on his feet to being a very healthy an playful puppy they seem to care so very much about the needs of my immediate family here my dog just isnt a dog hes my bff an hes my child Im very lucky to have some place that takes this as an interest in their profession an concern once again thank u all here at windmere me an my fiance apericate you all so very much
Stoots charged us $200 in tests without our consent. When confronted, all she did was get defensive and whip out excuses. She was very condescending towards my family.
Dr. Arnold is the BEST! Shadow loves coming there they genuinely care and love your pets and are very intuned with the parents of said pet . I recommend this place 100 percent! Truly blessed to have found them .
We have taken our pets here for as long as I can remember. Twice in the last year they have refused to give us pet grooming care. Once because the groomer was an irrational maniac that claimed he was a high school wrestler but couldn’t cut my dogs nails. The next time we drove an hour to get the nails trimmed and they just refused to give us service and the girl at the counter told my wife her only option was to sit in the parking lot and wait. They’ve changed something about this place. Do yourself a favor and never take your pets there!
I took my guinea pig in on May 10th to see Dr. Nix. She had scabs on her back, which I assumed to be from her cagemate at the time. I told Dr. Nix this. He performed a brief inspection and went with what I told him, which Ive now found out is not what she is actually sick with. I also called to get her medicine refilled. I was told that I would need to wait and be called back with information. I was called on Monday, when they left an email saying I owed 60 dollars for medicine I never ordered. Upon calling them today I was speaking with Cindy. She was very rude and unresponsive and hung up on me. I am very displased with this clinic and will be taking my animals else where and advise everyone else to stay away.
First, I want to say that Rory in grooming is awesome. Weve been bringing our Newfoundland/Poodle to him for a while and would continue to do so, if not for the rest of the operation. Our dog has never been a veterinary client here, only grooming, so imagine my surprise when I picked him up from a grooming and was met with a bill for an annual exam and vaccinations. Turns out because he was due, they went ahead took it upon themselves to take care of it, during an appointment explicitly scheduled for grooming, without prior consent. Although they refunded the charges, they put my dogs health at risk by providing vaccines administered by his actual vet less than two weeks prior. We wont be back.
I brought my pup for the first time to see Dr Arnold and worked with his technicians Krista and Nicole. All very very friendly and spent a lot of time with us to get the whole picture of what was going on. I have a more anxious and high energy dog and they all were very calm and patient with him (and me) during the information gathering and exam. They followed up with me the next morning to check on my pup. We will be going back in a few weeks for his annual shots.
Windermere Animal Hospital is amazing! We have taken our dogs there since 1997. We love Dr Nix and we love the grooming! We board our dogs here, too. They are fabulous!
I recently relocated to Fishers and am thrilled to have found a new vet clinic for my Airedale, Lola. The office was able to set an appointment for vaccinations quickly. The doctor and staff were wonderful. The facility itself was conveniently located to where I live and extremely clean. I love the online scheduling capability and ability to keep up with Lolas preventative care. Also, I was thrilled with the free medical examination for first-time clients. Looking forward to our first grooming, which was conveniently located on-site. My overall first impression is a perfect 10! Thank you so much, WAH!!!
I want to thank the entire Windermere Animal Hospital staff, with a special thanks to Drs. Nix and Santiago, and the ultrasound technician at Sherlock Bones for the amazing care they provided Molly on March 10th, 11th, and 12th.Mollys stomach was severely extended and I thought that she was just getting fat. But she began to slow way down...granted shes 12 years old, but her movements, appetite, and stomach were just not normal.I met with Dr. Santiago on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, for a 2nd opinion regarding Mollys medical issues. Without Mollys x-ray and blood work, Dr. Santiago comprehensively, kindly, and caringly, explained the possible reasons for Mollys condition, as well as treatment for Molly. On March 11th, Dr. Nix received Mollys x-ray, blood work, and shot records from another veterinarian. Dr. Nix confirmed that there was a large tumor-like mass showing in Mollys x-ray. Dr. Nix explained that the mass could be Mollys spleen, liver, uterus, cancer, etc. Dr. Nix gave me two options...I could consent to exploratory surgery to find out what was going on with Molly or I could get an ultrasound from Sherlock Bones which would give more clarity than the existing x-ray. And if surgery was required, the doctor would know exactly what type of surgery or treatment would be needed because of the ultrasound results. Dr. Nix and I discussed both options. Sherlock Bones performed the ultrasound on the 11th. The staff was expecting Molly and welcomed her immediately. Windermere Animal Hospital and Sherlock Bones staff were both, welcoming and loved on Molly right away. The morning of March 12th, Dr. Nix called to inform me that the ultrasound showed pyometra and that Molly definitely needed surgery ASAP. Naturally, I was anxious and afraid as Mollys my little baby and weve had her since she was 3 months old. Dr. Nix and the Windermere staff eased my anxiety and fears. I dropped Molly off for surgery feeling like she was in good hands. Dr. Nix removed Mollys huge uterus which was taking up 2/3 of her stomach. After surgery, Dr. Nix told me that Molly woke up from surgery wagging her tail😁.Now Molly is as good as new. I am so grateful to Windermere Animal Hospital, Sherlock Bones, Drs. Nix and Santiago, and the staff for their loving, kind care given to Molly. I HIGHLY recommend Windermere Animal Hospital...you WONT be disappointed.Tammy HunterIndianapolis, IN
I went with my dog Bandit as a check up after a surgery he had at a different hospital. The first time you see them, they waive the Exam Fee. (I also got an estimate for getting Bandit fixed and it was the least expensive one yet that wasn’t a low cost clinic)The doctor- Dr Arnold, was very patient with me while walking through the concerns I had in regards to Bandits recovery. He took the time to explain things to me step by step to explain why Bandit was ok.Bandit has made a full recovery and we will be returning, due to their amazing customer service, abundance of knowledge and fair pricing.
Greatly appreciated Dr. Arnold’s thorough exam of our dog Toby. I was also particularly grateful for his kindness and gentleness. I believe he genuinely cares and loves his important work. Everyone is professional and personable. Thank you.
We have been coming here for 15 years and love it! We moved further away and tried a different vet...we ended up coming back. It’s definitely worth the drive to know your animals are getting top notch care without being charged an arm and a leg.
We decided to come here after moving from the south side of Indianapolis. The staff is amazing and they take great care of my fur babies. They offer grooming too which is very convenient. Love it here!
Everyone here was very helpful and knowledgeable. From the moment I walked in, I was put at ease. They put chewy at ease as well by petting and talking to him. Hes 14 and has lived in NJ all those years. I was very pleased!
I’ve been taking my German Shepherd and blue heeler there for about 9 months. Every time the service is quick and they’ve been taking great care of my boys. I also get their grooming done there and it has been excellent as well!
Called on a Saturday at 10:15, and had an appt that day for 11:30 for a suspected UTI in my golden retriever. Responsive, polite, quick diagnosis. Will likely make this my new primary vet as the rates were cheaper than log cabin animal hospital.
Today was our first experience with grooming, we had Rory and Ive never had a better experience from scheduling, to the friendly staff on arrival and speaking directly with Rory on what we preferred for Jameson. Weve had bad experiences in the past and they blew it out of the water, I was so pleased with his cut; not to mention no other groomer has been able to successfully cut his nails at previous places and they were cut for the first time in forever! I now have a happy pup with his summer cut. We highly recommend and will be back!
Mean girl competition and FavoritismReceptionist - Fishers, INAfter working for this company for about 3weeks I can tell you it’s one of the worst company’s. I was hired at Sherlock Bones as a CSR after getting notice at my former job I was told they took back the girl that they where going to fire so wanted me to take the job at Windermere I said yes even tho it made the job 40min away from me instead of 7min away. Upon starting there on their Archaic system no one took the time to show you and if they do they will talk down to you. As a CSR there they wanted you to fill meds and do tech work. The doctors where all rude and not helpful don’t want to take the time to talk to their clients or you the new person. They fired me two days before Thanksgiving in front of the audience of employees. They are a real class act over there.ProsNoneConsNo health benefits
Went to this animal hospital a few weeks ago for the first time. We had to wait a hour even though we had an appointment. The vet told us that we needed to remove a tooth and it would cost 650. I took my dog to another vet and he said that was not appropriate or necessary. I am so glad I did not give into the pressure to schedule the surgery for my dogs sake and my wallet. He also told us we should get a blood panel which costs 250 to see if my dog has allergies. We were told we would get the results in a week or so. I called after 2 weeks and no results. We are going on 4 and no results! I feel scammed. Also, the other vet said that was not really something he would recommend. Lastly, I would never go back to this place because they lifted my 100 lb golden on a counter that was not safe and then pushed her off to get her back on the floor! Very upset by this as she has bad hips and they probably caused more damage in doing this. I cant believe a vet would do this as a means to examine the dog. I will never be back EVER.
Our vet was booked for the day and our pup was not feeling well. Called this clinic and they saw us that day, service was great, doctor and nurses were knowledgeable, and took good care of our pup.
My poor doggie Skylar has an injury on her right hind leg. Jamie the receptionist was so kind when i called, and when we got there. They got us in today and the doctor and the staff were so kind and caring with Skylar!! Thank you!! I love my dogs and i appreciated her being handled as gently as possible!!
Office is extremely clean and spacious.Everyone is extremely nice and ready to help you with your needs.I am very excited and feel confident about who will help me make sure my furry baby is healthy.
We are always able to get right in and never have a wait. The staff is awesome and weve appreciated all their advice over the years. Our pups are always well taken care of!
We love Windermere Animal Hospital and have been going there for years! Awesome staff and my pups love Dr. Ealing and Dr. Nix. They also have flexible hours which is convenient for those that work a 9-5 schedule. I would highly recommend to anyone!
I have a “special needs” dog, and I am always impressed with the treatment he receives fromDr. Nix. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I truly think Dr. Nix is the best vet around!!
Dr Ealing is a wonderful vet. He is honest, empathetic and always has the best interest of my dog’s well being. In addition, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their services!
I cannot adequately put into words how wonderful this place and ALL of their staff are. We first found them a year and a half ago when our 15 year old cat became sick and another vet immediately tried to convince us to euthanize him. We were very concerned with that vets approach and decided to find another vet for a 2nd opinion. Windermere and Dr Ealing helped us and gave us almost another year with him. When the time came to let him go, they were the kindest, most patient people. They gave us all the time we needed, and they cried with us as we let him go. It was a very hard day but they made it the best they could for us. Now both our dogs go to them and I 100% trust them to always do the right thing for our boys and guide us with compassion. They TRULY do love the animals and treat them like their own. Today we had our very scared Boxer/pit mix in there and he bucked out of his harness and just refused to go into the exam room. They all were so helpful, as I apologized for his behavior, they just laughed and helped us calm him and coax him inside. He then fell in love with our vet tech and became her best friend. They are just so good with them. I will never go anywhere else with my babies!
Very compassionate- can get appointment same day whenever I need to!
Most recently, we visited Windermere Animal Hospital for an update on Bordatella. They are always super easy to work with, we were able to come in at our convenience to have the vaccine administered. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and even called personally with the biopsy results on our fur-baby. It was great to actually discuss the case with the doctor himself. We highly recommend them.
We have used the vets at Windermere ever since we got our puppy. They are close by, always available to help with issues, friendly, pleasant and caring. We have used the grooming services often and are very pleased with everything about this veterinarian office!
Rory in grooming at Windermere is FANTASTIC!! I have brought my dog there since I got him and won’t ever go anywhere else. They all treat my dog like their own and he leaves happy as can be! He also smells wonderful and is always so soft afterwards. What more can you ask for? I would highly recommend Windermere Animal Hospital if you’re looking for a place to go! ❤️🐶
I cant say enough nice things about the staff at Windermere. It is so nice to see the same faces everytime I go for a visit. My dog loves the staff and they all are so personal with us. It feels like our second family. The compassion and love that is shown to our pet is beyond expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that has a pet. You guys are the best. I couldnt suggest one change. Keep up the great work.
The staff are terrific and really care about my animals. Dr Ben is fantastic and patiently answered all of my questions on my two recently acquired rescue dogs. Their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Windermere Animal Hospital.
Little Peke loves this place. He likes to stay there on vacation and has stayed as many as 11 days in a row. He is always happy to jump out of the car and run into the place when we drive up. The staff is always great!
My dog Zoey has been going to Windermere for several years and I have been very impressed with the staff and the facilities. Everyone is very friendly and takes time to answer questions. Rooms are clean and scheduling is also easy with online tool.
We switched to Windermere Animal Hospital last year and have been very pleased with both their health care for our dog and with the grooming. All the staff is very friendly and obviously care for animals. Weve also used their kennel service and found it much better than any facility we used previously.
The folks at Windermere have taken awesome care of our two cats. They are efficient, kind, and dont charge you an arm and a leg. A great place to take your pets!
They have a wonderful grooming salon! Meagan is the best groomer weve ever had for our chocolate lab. She goes above and beyond every time with her and Lucy loves going. They also come out and get her and bring her back out when shes done because I have small children and its hard to corral them all. If youre looking for a wonderful grooming experience check out Meagan at Windemere Animal Hospital!
I have used Windemere animal hospital for many years for my two Golden Retrievers and have been pleased with their service and friendliness. The Vets and Techs are always very helpful and are truly animal lovers. I really appreciated their concern especially when I had to put down my first Golden who developed cancer at age 10. They have also been helpful with my new dog and have gone out of their way to fax vaccination information when I needed it for kenneling my dog.
My pets have always received top-notch care, and I appreciate the doctores taking time to explain things thoroughly. Everyone there is full of compassion.
The staff at Windermere is awesome! Theyre always very kind with our dog and spend lots of time answering questions! Highly recommend them!!!
All the staff and drs are friendly, knowledgeable and ready to help. I take my dog to get her nails trimmed regularly and they always do an awesome job and my dog loves the staff!
I love how conveniently located WAH is and how easily they can see me when my puppy is feeling ill. They have a great plan for new pet owners to avoid over paying, but still get the chance to see the vet as many times as you feel necessary. They staff is great, too!
Wonderful service and care!!
Great staff all around. Everyone is friendly and you can tell they really love their jobs. The Vets are great and very caring and the Grooming staff is top notch.Would definitely recommend this group to everyone.
Great groomers and vets! We love the folks at Windermere Animal Hospital and would highly recommend them.
We love to take our dog here and she loves it too!
Every visit has been a pleasure. They truly take pleasure in treating our cat. Our indoor cat got out once and was gone several days. They permitted us to place a picture and contact info in their lobby window
Dr.Paul did a very poor job with our beloved cat. He diagnosed him correctly with the Saddle Thrombosis but provided no pain control that was most needed. Ozzie screamed in pain and was suffering overwhelmingly. We specifically asked if he was suffering and received an answer that our cat was anxious. For two hours in Windermere Animal Hospital Ozzie was in agony and torture with no help. It was inhumane not to control his pain - #1 step with the Saddle Thrombosis, as we learned later. After he was transferred to the Noahs Animal Hospital the first thing they did was telling us that Ozzie was in severe pain. They give him pain medication immediately, within a minute of our arrival. He ultimately was put to sleep as his condition was beyond repair, but his pain was controlled, we could say goodbye to him and he died peacefully. We will never forget the horror of seeing our helpless animal in needless pain while at the Windermere under Dr.Pauls care.
We have been clients at Windermere Animal Hospital for 15 years. We have found everyone to be friendly, thorough and compassionate. I feel like we are family.
Great people! I love taking my cat here!
Mahalo and Wally have had excellent care at Windermere Animal Hospital. Also great grooming experience as well!
The staff is fantastic. The vet is very informative. Love taking my Alex there and would never take a bird to any other vet.
Dr. Ben did a great job with Dean an Sonni. The entire staff is very friendly and knowledgable.
Everyone there was super friendly and explained everything that needed to be done to my dog. And it was relatively cheap.
Our cat Sonni hat surgery and is doing well at home. The staff is wonderful and kind!
Great People with Great CareMy fur babies are always taken care of
Provide great care and always get you in. Our pets love Dr. Nixx
All of the people at Windermere Animal Hospital are wonderful. They are caring, compassionate and loving to animals as well as their owners. I would highly recommend Windermere Animal Hospital.
Friendly staff, great with my dog! Feel very comfortable bringing my pet here.
I am so happy with the care both my dogs have received here!
Staff is great, easy to get an appointment and Rory in the grooming salon is awesome!
This is the best Vet client and grooming salon on the North side .They go beyond what you expect in service, follow up, professional staff, and love and care of your pet. Roxie loves to go to her visits ..how many pets do that ?
Very friendly staff. They always take good care of Miss Peanut!
Took our kitten here for neutering and declawing. They did laser declawing and surgery went fine. He wore his neck collar only one night. We took it off and he never chewed at his paws and healed perfectly. Highly recommend them for these procedures.
Nice people they take care of you and your pets.
We have brought all of our pets here for 20 years. Wonderful staff, very friendly place
We have used Windermere Animal Hospital in Fishers for 12 years. They were great when it was discovered Coco had a birth defect & helped us in making the right choices for what was the best way to treat her & our pocketbook. Her groomer is Donna. Coco is a Yorkiepoo & she takes special care of her due to her wiggleness. Donna, Gail, Jamie & many others have worked at Windermere the whole time we have been going there. That says a lot about a business when your staff have been long time employees.
Been coming here since 2000. Dr Nix and his other team have taken care of over 10 cats and couple of bunnies through the good and the bad, and have been the best medical team I’ve ever seen in a vet office. Yes it’s expensive. But running an advanced high-expertise clinic isn’t easy.
Good caring vets. Also very reasonably priced grooming services.
Great visit! Everyone was friendly, helpful and I didnt feel at alm rushed.
We have had two very good experiences with Windemere Animal Hospital. We took our first Yorkie, Tally (a female), there for 15 years. She eventually had to be put to sleep. The staff there were very carrying and and quite comforting in what was, as one could imagine, very trying and emotional. Our second Yorkie, Speckles, a male, was a Christmas present from our grandkids during Christmas 2015. Speckles turned 10 months old this month. He has been in the care of Dr. Roger Nix and his staff since he was 10-12 weeks old. We think of the staff at Windemere as family. You should, too. You and your pet will enjoy your experience!Mark Morrow, Fishers, IN
Awesome vet and great people.
Updated teview today...Thursday March 14th 2019.Big Al was bubbling saliva out of his mouth and his face normally pushing into my Dads 60 year old fuller brush was tender.I called and Gayle answered right away and knows the patient and me too.We were able to schedule to fit my hours and when I walkec in on time, so did Dr Nix coms right in to our exam room.Doctor gave a full exam. Listened to my descriptions of symptoms then re-examined Big Al.Dr Nix gave me all the time we needed today and treated Al who feels a lot better this evening...And so do I.
I cant give Dr. Ealing and the staff any higher praise. One of our rescue dogs (half lab and half ?) was vomiting on and off for a week, I took Harv in and upon Dr. Ealing palpation to his abdomen he knew instantly there was an obstruction, X-ray confirmed this. Harv was in surgery right away where the Dr removed a gallon size ziplock. The surgery lasted 2 1/2 hours as there was scar tissue from a previous surgery by his first owners, probably the same situation. This wasnt Harvs first rodeo, in the past he ate 2 dozen dethawing frog legs and visited the ER clinic for induced vomiting, a whole loaf of bread bag and all, the list goes on. Harv is a large and sneaky sweetheart of a dog and we have to keep food items off the counters at all times, apparently the trash door had been open this time. I highly recommend Dr. Ealing for your pets care❤️
We started at Windermere Animal Hospital because it was close. We have now stayed with them for 5+ years because they take excellent care of our fur babies!!
They practice innovative medicine, and have always shown our furry family members love and care. Wouldnt go anywhere else.
We love Morgan at Windermere!!! she is the best with our Baxter and does an awesome job!!!
