I wish I could rate this 5 stars, but I cannot, unfortunately. The shelves have not been stocked at all, Frys is absolutely D.E.A.D, dead. Im afraid other online retailers are outdoing this small US chain. Its sad to see, to be quite honest. I remember the good ol days where it would be the computer nerd equivalent of a fat kid walking into a candy emporium. Now this place is bone dry.

BIG NEWS! The shelves are totally full once again. A plentiful selection of computers, laptops, tablets and accessories. Ranging from cell phones, components, and wiring to super-sized big screen TVs, Frys is now offers price matching competitors! Im excited to see this local shop get back in their geek groove!**Updated News: Shortly after stocking the shelves full, Frys has decided to throw in the towel. A statement on the company website confirmed the closure. The companys transparent letter to their customers shows their tremendous respect for Frys fans.Good bye Geek Shop!

This place used to be great! Those days when you could get all electronics that you were looking for but now, it’s not easy to find anything! Almost all shelf’s are empty and when I asked about it, I was told the company is restructuring it! Since early 2019! Their electronics are not too expensive!!

This store looks like a Skelton. The shelves are extremely bare, there is no customer service, the customer service agent was asleep at the front door when I walked in, and no one to assist me. I was really looking for a TV in the biggest TV size that I saw was a 40 inch color TV. When I asked one of the representatives what was going on with the store and if they were closing he stated that they were realigning themselves. Whatever that may mean, however looking at the shelves the empty space I would say that this store may not be around too long. I drove 25 minutes to look for some items I was very disappointed to know that they had very limited inventory. So before you decide to go to this location make sure you call first to ensure that your product is in stock otherwise you may be in for a big disappointment. #I’mOverIt

I love this place and have for years. Mainly for the television selection and prices, along with the random little pieces that only a Radio Shack used to have.BUT. The condition of the stores interior and exterior is embarrassing. Leaks all over the place with buckets around to catch drops, parking lot is riddled with trash and pot holes. The shelves are usually quite bare and display pieces not working or not hooked up at all. The theater room has been a joke for years as its hardly ever on and when it is, its far from properly set up or calibrated. Really seems like a management thing where they simply do not care or are unqualified. Here are a few samples of recent trips. Sad

Fry’s has always been... eh. Until recently, they’ve had a good selection of solid computer components, electronics, office supplies, etc. They’ve also always had weird stuff, like kitchen appliances, cheap DJ stuff, and more. But on my most recent trip, they had barely anything. It felt empty, and other shoppers even commented on it. I fear they’re on the verge of closing down.

Ever see a tree dying and watch all the leaves and bark slowly fall off? A once full bodied tree just slowly become a skeleton of its former self... this is what the store is. Once fully stocked and ready to serve your every electronic need it now barely contains anything of value to build a computer.

If the website tells you something is in stock, dont believe it. I was looking for something specific after the website told me it was in stock but it was not. I want to be upset but I just cant. The legacy that Frys has is a lasting one and after seeing what has happened to this store, Im just sad. The shelves are completely empty. Entire sections of the store are just empty and barren. The sections that still have stock, have cheap/off-brand products that arent worth it. I saw maybe three employees in total the entire time I was here. If you have fond childhood memories of this place as I had, dont visit. It is so depressing and bleak inside. Everything is just empty and quiet. It is a husk of its former self and I am willing to bet they will be out of business before 2021 is over. So sad.

I went to Frys for the first time today for rechargeable batteries and a specific 4LED booklight. I found batteries easily and then was offered help without asking. I showed the associate a picture of the product and he went to track it down. After not being able to find it, he looked up the part number and it turned into a fleet of 5 or 6 male associates searching for my product!Their dedication, urgency, and respect was unmatched. I will be back again for this great service. They found the book lights in record time and seemed happy to be helping me! Thanks guys!

Frys electronics used to be a monument to high tech consumerism. Row upon row of things I didnt know that I wanted let alone existed.Ive only been to the Frys in Pheonix, AZ until today, but every time I went there I was impressed. This store in Indy had enough product to fill a radio shack and enough space to host a U2 concert. Zero computer equipment. Zero audio equipment. I saw a 40 TV on display advertising direct TV off in a sad and lonely corner.I should have guessed the inside state was bad because the outside parking lot looked as though they were filming an episode of the walking dead; Barely cut grass and weeds popping out of every crack.I truly hope one day this store returns to its former glory, but for now I would recommend avoiding it like the plague.

This store used to be a great store and loved going to this store, as it was way better than Best Buy, but for about a year now they have looked like a ghost town in there because of all of the bare shelves in it which results in just depressing to enter the store. They keep saying it has to do with the new vendor they are using and it will change, but by a year now this cannot be the case. I had to update my rating because of this. While standing in the isles of the Frys electronics, we pull out iPhone and checked the price of NewEgg, Amazon and Ebay. We checked out the TV and computers in this store, then went home to buy on Amazon because we didnt want to pay sales tax. People took advantage of their generous return policy. We are partially responsible for the demise of retail electronic stores like the Frys.I enjoyed this store. Often went there to have lunch. Spent hours browsing thru all different tech stuff. I can’t imagine they’re bringing in anything remotely close to a profit the way things are right now, which is sad given that competitors like Best Buy, who have a fairly bleh inventory in terms of selection (but at least they have some) have been killin it. Many will engage in relevant conversation as though you’re old friends.I’ve seen a lot of complaints about employees not approaching you and asking if you need help. I actually enjoy this. They are always available and enthusiastic to help, but they do not make the assumption of customer incompetence. All you need to do is ask. In the past two years, this store has deteriorated. Nothing quite accentuated the decline like the attached picture. Youll find a lot of freeware software by this distributor, packaged and sold for $12.99 . Aside from the ethical issues of reselling free and open-source software like Clonezilla, the covers look like they were whipped up in Paint, and had common typos on the back, including not capitalizing Windows. While Im sure Frys has had a lot of difficulty in stocking their shelves in their slow decline to Amazon, the fact that theyre resorting to such transparent (and low-quality) attempts to increase sales should tell you just about everything about the current state of the store. But that didnt piss me off as much as the Frys employee who followed my girlfriend around and would not let her shop in peace. It seems their hiring practices have deteriorated at the same pace as their inventory. If you make your customers feel uneasy or unsafe, that is only going to expedite your failure, Frys. Now that Best Buy is even starting to sell a small amount of decent computer components again, the only reason to come here is to see computer cases first-hand. Walk in, turn right past the turnstiles, look at the cases, and then get what you need from Amazon.
