I wanted to leave a glowing review of my experience with Jeff at WaterWork Plumbing for coming out on a Saturday to unclog my shower drain and fix my kitchen faucet. Not only was he super kind, professional, and helpful (he explained what he was doing and gave me tips on how to avoid similar problems in the future) but he also went above and beyond by offering to inspect my pipes for free and educating me about the plumbing system in my house. He was also very respectful of my situation as I have a pregnant wife with severe morning sickness and he did his best not to disturb her. Never trust these people - not sure how they have remained in business and got such good reviews! I used them because of their great reviews - not sure who is writing them ... Had a problem with a toilet not shutting off and they sent someone who replaced a part - which in turn caused the water to run continuously. They came out again and replaced a valve - still the same issue. Came out the next day and wanted to replace another part. In the end got another plumber who confirmed they fitted the wrong part on the first visit. This plumber replaced and no problems since then. Waterworks Plumbing wont even refund for the wrong part they fitted - so much for standing behind their work!

From the minute someone picked up the phone there (yes, they do actually answer the phone) and was super pleasant, professional, and helpful; I knew we called the right plumber. They were booked up so I set up an appointment for the next Monday, but then out of the blue they called me on SATURDAY to let me know that they had someone in the area that just got off another job and if I wanted they could stop by. Problem solved, and I also asked for an estimate about a longer term solution and was provided with this with absolutely no pressure to buy, etc. It is good to know what number to call if I ever need plumbing services again!

My experience with WaterWork Plumbing was excellent from beginning to end. I found them on Angi. Communication was very clear; they understood what I needed. My faucet was leaking; I ordered the parts from the manufacturer. Water Work Plumbing would send a qualified repairman to replace all the parts and make sure the faucet was functioning properly. As soon as I informed them that the parts had arrived they scheduled a visit and the work was done expertly and carefully. They called me ahead of time to let me know that their technician was available earlier than the scheduled time and asked if that would be OK. I appreciated the courtesy and was glad that they could take care sooner. The repair person was very good natured, courteous, methodical, and determined. He did an excellent job. It turned out that some of the parts of my faucet were stuck but the repairman dealt with everything appropriately and now I have a perfectly working faucet. The person I spoke with on the phone was also very polite and very pleasant and the estimate I was given was reasonable and accurate. I am really pleased with the whole process and of course the results. Highly recommended company.

The company was prompt and did a good job with their primary assignment of cleaning out a drain in the basement of an apartment building, but although the work order specified floor cleaning was to be done after drain cleaning, none was done. It wasnt until the tenants in the building complained about the stench that we realized the plumbers hadnt done a complete job. Then it took days to find a cleaner that would do the work, with hours of phone calls and texts to get the situation sorted out, all extra work that 10-15 minutes with a mop and bleach would have avoided.

Kenny showed up promptly at 9am as scheduled. He proceeded to complete the Work Order as issued by my Condo Association. Upon completion of that he informed me of his concern for potential future sewer back up if this was not finished as it should of been. I guess his Work Order was to clear out the sewer drain 65 feet but realized that there were major blockages beyond that in the 116 feet out to the main sewer line. He requested additional authorization to complete the clear out but for the time, there was no response for my Association. He sad he felt bad because from what he could see and showed me if video footage … there definitely would be a sewer back in the near future. He began to pack-up his equipment and was told to move on to his next job. Fortunately, after multiple attempts to get further authorization, we received the Approval and he then proceeded to unpack and bring all of his equipment back in to my unit to fully complete the job. His concern and follow through needs to be commended. After another couple of hours my sewer line was cleared of tree roots all the way to the main sewer… giving me reassurance that I would not have another sewer backup. I am Soo Appreciative of this young man’s concern & ethics in his work! Thank You Kenny👏👍💪!

After calling several other businesses just to be told we don’t service Detroit...They were very professional and also know that the people that live in the city of Detroit are people too and we deserve to have the BEST services like anyone else...I appreciate the time that was taken to listen to my issue and to send someone out to my home. I contracted with a big box store to replace my leaking water tank. Between issues with the store and the local plumber, eight days passed without a new tank. After accepting a smaller tank just so my leaking tank would be replaced, the plumber told me I would have to wait another week for installation. I immediately called Waterwork and they had someone at my house and installing the appropriate tank with an hour. Great work, professional, and they really stepped up when I needed them.

The serviceman came to fix a leaking toilet and replace small pipes under the sinks.He advised me that I use Toto replacement parts instead of the 3 good quality I had purchased from home-depot. He provided me with the cost of the part. After he completed the work, the invoice he gave me for the parts were outrageously expensive when you compare the cost of the parts on Amazon. What he should have charged me, which is no more than $100, was $229. He charged me for a replacement unit and then a flapper. The unit came with a flapper. But he chose to charge me for both separately. In addition, he charged me over $35 for the time to complete the the writing of the invoice and cleaning his truck. 15 minutes extra. He said he should have charged me 5 minutes more forgetting that he came 5 minutes late. The total cost of the job shouldn’t have been more than $300, it was over $500, with all the hidden costs. So, beware.

Miraculously I was unharmed by the mass flooding of this past week. Less miraculously, my water heater has a hive mind with its region’s damaged brethren and sprung a leak anyway. Trying to get a water heater replaced the Friday before a holiday after a 100-year flood event? Good luck, you might say. And you would be wrong. My guardian angels all collectively work at WaterWork plumbing, it seems. They were able to come out not once but TWICE in the same day - the first appointment we learned our setup was too narrow for any of the units they had that fit our specs because our water heater must have been installed before the rest of the house was built around it, it was so tight. Nonetheless, the first tech, Rob, kindly gave me some advice to call the manufacturer and see if I could get warranty coverage on a replacement unit at Home Depot. After getting my hands on the one - ONE! - remaining model matching my model number at my local Depot and somehow getting it home in a Buick Encore with bungee cords, prayers, and a calm driver, I was able to call them back and see if they could fit us in any day before Tuesday. They sent a team back same day somehow!! Becker and Kevin were a delightful team, exceptionally professional and thorough while still managing to move incredibly quickly.Honestly I spoke to probably the entire company by the end of this ordeal - and every single one was kind, friendly, and helpful among other notable positive descriptors. All around a fabulous team who I hope not to see in the near future for all the best reasons - unless I can drop off donuts to them or something. I am beyond relieved to once again have a working shower, and I cannot express my gratitude enough in words that exist in the English language. THANK YOU, Catherine, Kim, Melissa, Rob, and most importantly Becker and Kevin for being such a positive duo to end an otherwise emotional day for me. The long awaited shower I got to cry in at the end of the day was the perfect temperature.

WaterWork technicians performed a few services in our basement (December 2020 and January 2021), first to deal with the acute problem of our sewage backup and later to replace elements of our very old sewer plumbing to facilitate a longer-lasting fix. Cost was reasonable for the services performed.The technicians were always prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional. Nico, in particular, was excellent about clearly walking us through what the issue was, as well as potential solutions. Kenny and Mark were terrific as well. While I hope not to have plumbing issues in the future, I will feel confident in reaching out to WaterWork to address the issue if I do.

I can’t truly remember the last time a contractor has been on time for an appointment. Imagine my surprise when Nico was right on time! But more importantly he was kind, considerate, and caring. He went above and beyond what anybody else would have done in order to help me with my situation. Money wasn’t the concern because this was covered by my condo association. However, the service I received was pretty impressive.

Don was very nice, he was on time and explain what he was doing. He took his time make sure everything was right but worked quickly enough to keep my cost down which I appreciated. I would definitely use them again.

Update 5/27/21:Shortly after I updated this review I received a call from David, the owner/master plumber. I missed it but he left a voicemail and called my husband a few minutes later. My husband relayed his experience and David was very apologetic. He said thats not how his company operates, hes disappointed that this was our experience and he wanted to make it right. He arranged to have someone out to complete the job that same day. They originally said between 3 and 5 pm but ended up coming around 1:30. They sourced a 10 rough-in toilet (we paid for it, we felt that was fair) and had the bathroom back in working order by 3 pm. Im satisfied that David and his company take honest feedback from customers and strive to make it right when things go wrong. He even said hed rip up the check from the original appointment, and we didnt get charged for the make-right. Wed be happy to use WaterWork again in the future given Davids integrity and willingness to straighten this out.

Hired a professional company and got a professional job. WaterWork (Jeff) showed up on time the same day I called for help with a backed up sewer main drain in the Fitzgerald Neighborhood Detroit. I called 4 companies early that morning, they were the first to respond, office staff was great, direct and too the point and transparent in explaining the fee schedule. Jeff is the Man, came into a smelly situation and had it squared away Boss style in no time. He answered my barrage of questions with fatherly patience; really, dude must have 10 kids and love each one to death. Give these guys a call- Money well spent.

I called Saturday morning 9:45am for sewer line cleaning, they gave me a time between 11am and 1pm.. I received a call at 11:30, within 15 minutes the worker was at my house and started working. Called due to main stack leaking. Had a tech show up and he cut into the wrong wall first cut. Second cut didnt show any issue with plumbing behind shower, so he tells me ill need to open up wall myself and have them come back once I find the issue.... Really? I paid $95 for you to show up to cut into the wrong wall, not do any work, nor locate the issue?I will not be calling your company or using your services again. Waste of $100 on a service call.

Waterworks set a date for fixing a leak in the bathtub drain. They called the day before to confirm the appointment. Arrived at the time promised. The plumber was very pleasant and professional. He explained what was involved in the repair. Told us upfront the cost before starting work. Made the repairs necessary to correct the problem with the bathtub drain. In addition, there was a problem with the hot water supply line under the bathroom sink that the gentleman repaired for us. My brother and I are both homeowners. Going forward, you are our go to company for plumbing service. We are very very pleased.

I have used Waterwork before and was very happy with the work and professional technician. This trip however left me a bit less likely to call again. The tech was prompt and polite but I was charged $95.00 for a less than 5 minute bolt tightening to stop an outdoor spigot leak.
