Manthey Momentum is hands down the best place in Whatcom County to get not only a great workout but also a vital and supportive staff of coaches. In addition there is an awesome community of people that will lift you up and push you to keep going! Nothing but love here for Megan and crew!! 6 months in and I couldnt imagine going anywhere else! If youve been on the fence about joining a program, consider this a push in the right direction!!!!
A fantastic example of what a gym SHOULD be! Everything from the coaches, the space, and the fellow participants are top notch. I grew up in Southern California and there were an abundance of sports performance gyms, but this one is the best one I’ve encountered. Whether it’s adult or youth classes, the results speak for themselves. Positive, motivating, based in health and individual care and the total athlete no matter what their physical capabilities or level of fitness. The highly educated and well-informed coaches are some of the best in the business. I can’t say enough about this incredible opportunity for all of Whatcom County to join Manthey Momentum’s beautiful journey.
I love the atmosphere here! I dont have much experience with exercise and I was worried that I would feel out of place. Megan and Jessa have made me feel so comfortable...while kicking my butt. :) I love the way I feel after my workout, its a great way to start my day. I highly recommend Manthey Momentum to anyone wanting to get healthy and strong!
I am 70 years old. I want to keep hiking until I am 100. Megan my personal trainer is helping me do just that. My goals are balance and agility. I have been working with her for 2 months. And I have seen improvements. I have also taken her group classes which are a great workout. Megan does not use contracts like many gyms. I can highly recommend Manthey Momentum

Super friendly staff, fantastic training regiment. In my younger years I did a lot of weight training, but backed off and packed on the pounds as I got older and spent more time behind a desk. I needed to improve my fitness, increase strength, and lose (quite) a few pounds, but wanted something more than jazzercise or yoga, without the stress (and danger) of heavy lifting. My wife was trying to get me to go to other kinds of fitness classes for years. Nah, too boring. Not challenging, not enough weights or the classes didnt incorporate training that included some body-building (I mean, everyone wants to feel AND look good, right?). But, these adult classes with Jessa at Manthey Momentum are perfect! My wife talked me into trying a class with her and I havent stopped going since then. Strength, stretching, aerobics, and light(minimal) weights are all incorporated into each class. You switch and rotate stations and exercises constantly throughout the session. Each class (training session) is always new and interesting: we never know what to expect, but whatever it is, its always well planned out, set up, and explained.The classes are tailored such that people in all fitness levels can work as hard as they can, without overdoing it (and without being allowed to slack off!), and we all cheer each other on. No egos! My wife is very comfortable with the arrangement and likes the fact that it s not a male body-builder gym where they just have a bunch of weights with guys staring at themselves in the mirror. Not threatening at all. Classes are mixed, both men and women, all having a great time, and small enough that everyone gets personal attention. And trust me, the classes can be very hard if you really, really go all out. Im hooked. I leave utterly exhausted, but feeling great; no muscle group left unaffected. In my first three weeks, I am down exactly 7 pounds, my once-snug pants are feeling a bit more loose; overall body is feeling much tighter and Im starting to feel flexible again even while my core is feeling much firmer. Pretty darn good considering that my weight loss was over Thanksgiving, when I usually add pounds. Am looking forward to being under 200 lbs by January, for the first time in two decades, and feeling like my old self! Thanks Jessa! (and Megan, and Casey)
