I called them from down the street asking if they could give me advice, something below the car was coming off (skid plate I learned) and I wasnt sure what to do. I Took My Infiniti G35 Coupe To A Different Auto Repair Shop That Didnt Do A Great Job. So, Decided To Take It To Gregs Auto And Jeremy Got My G35 Coupe Right! Im Happy With My Results And On Top Of That, They Figured Out My Overheating Issue That I Wasnt There For. They Did A Complete Check And Now I Can Use AC! I Will Be Going There For Now On For My G35 Needs.Edit: Car Only Lasted 4 Days And Same Problem Occurred. Took It To A Performance Place And Infiniti Dealership To Findout They Used Cheap Coils And Not OEM And Over Charged Me On Them... Replace My Radiator With A Plastic One. I Was Highly Disappointed When U Spend 2k On Repairs And Nothing Is Fixed. Charged Me 1k On Coils Alone When They Less Then 300 For A Full Pack.

Holy Cow!!!!!! I truly wish I could give this location more than 5 stars!!!! Not only was this shop beyond professional and clean, they were more than happy to take on an installation of a theft deterrent device that they had never seen or done before. We had been shut down by so many places due to this being an after market item, but Gregs more than happily looked at the job and said ABSOLUTELY, looks easy enough to do.I now have peace of mind when I was in full on panic mode about having my car brought home without this installed. This group went more than above and beyond. I bring my other car to them tomorrow to install this on my 2nd car.I highly recommend this shop and this group of guys. You are all amazing and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

I used Greg’s for the first time yesterday when my car suddenly started having a loud screeching noise from the wheels. I was 30 miles from home and I knew it wasn’t a type of problem that AAA could fix. I found Greg’s online and just pulled in hoping they could tell me whether I could drive the car or not.They immediately started looking at my Nissan Xterra and working on it. I’ve been to a lot of dealers and private auto repair shops over 45 years. This was exceptionally good service, quality repair work and value for the price. A shop can’t do this without a strong, consistent commitment to service and long-term customer satisfaction. I’ll be going back and recommending them!

I cant believe Im about to give a 5 star to a company that just took $2000 from me, but my experience was pretty good. I brought my car in because it was having idle issues, as well as it being a bit shaky on the road, and I knew I needed my rear brakes replaced. Ive brought my car to less expensive, less reputable, and less English speaking mechanics before to do work on my car, but my car never seemed to get better. When I went in, I told them what I thought was wrong, they told me their labor cost, which is definitely more than the guys I was going to, but Id say on par and reasonable for their work. They brought it in and did their inspection. They found a lot more than the three things I told him about. They also told me the cost, which was about $1100 more expensive than what I was hoping. My first thought was that they were trying to rip me off. Maybe they were, but everything he said to me, which he did explain in detail, but also nicely summarized, made sense. After some thought I bit the bullet and they had the work done in about 8 hours (I picked it up the next day). It drives great right now. I just got it back so time will tell. I realized that I was tired of having sub par work done on my car from myself and others. Heck I even caused some of the problems they fixed. Theres a certain point at which you spend more trying to save a buck, and cause more problems in the long run. So I decided to pay a little more up front and not have to worry about my car, and know quality work was done on it, with a warranty, and I do not regret my decision (yet).

They are honest, fast, and do great work for a pretty decent price. But I like is there checklist they do on your car every time, totally check everything before they start to work and let you know if any add-ons are needed

Gregs is such a great place to take my cars. They are friendly & knowledgeable. If youre needing service, this is the place to come.

They may not be the cheapest but the folks there are friendly and helpful and I have always been able to get in on the same day I call. They fixed my power window 6 months ago and its still working great. They took me back to my house after I dropped my car off and brought me back when it was finished. They worked to make sure my price was as reasonable as possible and they were transparent about the parts and prices up front. I will go back.

I was able to get a Saturday appointment on Friday (happy surprise) and was really pleased with the job they did on my Mazda’s brakes! Everyone there was helpful and friendly. I called Gregs Japanese Auto today in Federal Way for a fuse that I believe blew out on my electrical outlet- my electrical outlets been working great and Matt said that all he could do was to do a half an hour of diagnostics at $60 for a half an hour and then if it was a fuse he then would install the fuse for $70-I said why cant you just put in the fuse to start with and just see if thats works? He got irritated and said no way and hung up on me after telling me to go to the dealership instead- I would never go to Gregs Japanese Auto -Matt was rude & said it was my cigarette lighter which I dont even have in my car and was convinced it had to be some complicated electrical problem without even considering the basics..

My husband used to work for a dealership as a mechanic and started a different career. There are some things he likes to do himself but not when it comes to certain jobs especially without a lift. We started going to these guys and they have never tried to overcharge, mislead or over recommend. They are very professional and super nice. Absolutely great! Got me in at the last minute. They were very quick and didnt try to sell me a bunch of extra inspections and services. They were very thorough in the vehicle inspection though. Very reasonable price.

They took a look at my 2003 Acura TL and figured out it had a bad battery ground cable and a blown head gasket. They didnt charge me for the diagnosis, and the staff were very friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

I came in to have my thermostat replaced which was done very quickly--only 1 day in the shop. Then when my car broke down a week later (due to the engine) and it was clear that the work exceeded the value of the car they didnt charge me for the diagnostic.Superb customer service, thanks again guys. I stopped into Gregs’s in Federal way with my 2008 Infinity FX35. I spoke to Larry at the counter saying, “less than a week ago I had Les Shwab replace my front rotors but now I’m hearing noises coming as I coast to a stop”, Les and I went out for a short drive, then he opened the garage door and raised the vehicle to take a look, spun the wheels, and eventually took off the drivers front wheel.Larry came out to me as I was standing there for about ten minutes and showed me a wire that was wrapped around the caliper.Is all I can say is, you’ve got to be kidding, you’ve just made my week! I was so relieved and expected some kind of charge. I would have been happy to pay anything, but it was not necessary he said.Man alive! This seems unheard of nowadays!I was so glad! I wonder how much trouble Larry saved me from. Surely, it eliminated a lot of stress and anguish. Thanks Gregs’s!!!! I’ve been a customer for many years but I now I’m here to stay.

After realizing Burien Toyota was taking advantage of us and charging us more than standard plus up selling us thing that were not required we decided to go look for an honest car repair place. We have had our car serviced here twice so far and both times they have been professional, honest and fixed our car in a reasonable time and price. We will continue to bring our car here because we trust the people and love service.

Yeah...this place should have 5 stars. Incredibly courteous, friendly, thorough and priced well below all other quotes I got. They kept in good communication and got me a shuttle to and a good discount at enterprise. No complaints. I think the bad reviews here are from entitled people who dont understand that a good mechanic can be busy and the complimentary inspection is not to upsell but to notify you of any issues. They saved me a potential safety issue in doing so. Love these guys and I will be back. Oh! And my car is driving better than when I bought it.

After my Toyota dealer gave me a 3 hr estimate to fix my headlight yesterday I thought Id drop by Gregs in Fed Way. Arrived during the mechanics lunch break but Jeremy Doll (Svc Mgr) took a look under my hood.He asked a few questions, went inside for a small part & fixed it within 5 minutes AND didnt charge me...WOW!!! I will definitely keep Gregs in mind the next time I have a need & dont want to drive to the Toyota dealership!!

Called this morning got in right away for my oil change, professional and polite service. Someone else said $65 was high for an oil change but shop around and youll see that for full synthetic its on par if not quite a bit under the going rate. They said conventional oil is around $45 and I trust these guys a million times more than Jiffy Lube or the like. Great work Ill be back.

This shop had some great guys helping out on the phone and in person . Their shop in Federal Way was clean even though it is a auto shop it showed me that they took pride in where they work and the type of work they did, and that to me is golden!

Had them change my knock sensor they called and said my truck was ready to go it ran worse so my called them and told it was running worse then before all they told her to bring it back and they would charge her more money to find the problem I told her no way my mechanic friend came to look at it he said they didnt plug back in the fuel injector sensors thumbs down to them

I stopped by with a question about my Mazda and they were very helpful and even took a look for me. The shop was very clean and organized and all the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. I know that when our car needs work this will be the first place I go!

Came in to get an oil & air filter changed, they offered a courtesy inspection & I accepted. They gave me a ride home, & I waited for 3 hours & finally called them to ask if they had any updates. The guy who answered had my quote (how long was it ready?), & they had recommended about 2k worth of repairs. I told them to just change the oil & air filter & come pick me up. Later I received a call saying the courtesy vehicle had been waiting outside my apartment building for 15-20 minutes, again no one called me to let me know he was there. To top it all off, Im at 170k & they didnt even use high mileage oil.$75 bucks & 3 hours just to change my oil, I could have gotten it done at Jiffy Lube for that much & they would have used high mileage oil & got it done in 30 minutes.

I had the main oil seal and catalytic converter changed on a 2001 acura mss. They did a fantastic job and done earlier than expected. I highly recommend Gregs for any Japanese vehicle.

I will not be taking my car here again. I went for a total inspection and was told I needed my front brakes replaced. After this was completed, my brake pedal started fluttering and they told me it was because my back brakes had conveniently just gone out. I took my car to Coopers Auto Repair and was told I needed to go back to Gregs to get the front brakes completely redone as they were botched. I went back to Gregs and they refused to admit any wrong doing or apologize for any inconvenience they caused. It was a real hassle, but they finally fixed the brakes again for no extra charge (the brakes squeal now, so they are still not fixed). They tried to blame their mistake on Coopers.. Overall, I was deeply disappointed in Gregs Auto work and service. I dont feel like I can trust them to work on my car again. I will continue taking my car into Coopers as I know they always provide me with quality service.(Ps Gregs, a sorry for the inconvenience goes a long way) -- (Update to Gregs: The service on my 2007 Kia Spectra was done under a different family name)

The best! I stopped in right off I-5 with a missing OIL CAP that happened to slip off. Jeremy, the manager, greeted me immediately and asked how he could help. He dropped what he was doing, gave me an oil cap. Its refreshing to have such an inviting atmosphere at an auto shop. I think it may have helped that I rolled up in a 1983 Tercel 4wd SR5. Cant thank him enough, top notch!

I live in Olympia and had Gregs automotive do a used car inspection for me today, I worked with Brian. I am SO grateful I had Gregs inspect the car they were able to specify repairs needed to be done to the car that were costly.Not only did they save me money finding the problems so I could negotiate my offer to the seller but the communication from Brian throughout the day and customer service is the BEST customer service I have experienced. I highly refer this company to all.

When my 1999 Toyota Camry just died one evening in Federal Way, with a dead battery, and an effort to jump it did no good, we had it towed the next morning to Gregs, they had it fixed by three that afternoon with a new alternator, and we were happy to return to Seattle with no further concerns.

Very happy with the service I receive at Gregs and credit for being a repeat customer. I plan to continue using them for all my repair needs.

Brought in my IS300 which was running idle and had stiff brakes along with rumbling from the engine. Wanted $2,000 for timing belt (Cost me $100 to do it myself) and told me I had leaky oil seals. Im a younger guy and I felt right away like the guy was trying to pull a fast one on me. When he called to tell whats wrong he spoke super fast and rambled on about my leaky seals and how they need to be done Right now! Or something might go wrong luckily I know a few things about cars and decided with that high of a price Id just do it myself. After replacing the belt myself I saw the seals were leaking no oil at all and didnt need to be replaced whats so ever. Evetually found out I had a cracked head which has nothing to do with the belt at all and it was clear they gave me an Incorrect diagnosis to try and get me to bring it back in give them more $ once I had issues again. If you actually care about your car dont waste you time these guys will swindle and jip you out of every dollar you have.

The overcharging is not ok bought the parts online and did it myself and saved $750 and that included replacing more than what they were offering to do. obviously doing it yourself will save you money, but that much is unacceptable I dont understand how they can goug prices like that.on the bright side it was the kick I needed to learn how to do everything on my own.

Gregs is the ONLY place I bring my 3000 GT.. Service is always fast, friendly and the shuttle is an amazing addition to an already outstanding experience.
