Great haircuts. The staff are all well seasoned and the senior barber has extensive experience working on military bases providing military haircuts. The rest of the staff are just as seasoned and have the ability to read your emotional state and treat you appropriately. If you dont feel like talking, they will respect that. My favorite part of the haircut is the end when the barber applies a hot towel to my neck and removes any stray hairs that may have escaped the vacuum attached to the clippers. Highly recommended if you like the old school atmosphere and haircut experience.

Not just about the haircut, but the interaction with the people- in a small town way.Prices are great also-And for those who worried about the relocation, they completely transported the entire barbershop to the new location on Kathi Drive. It looks just like the old place but better! Same tile, same wall arrangement and everything!

This is a fantastic place!! My husband and 9 yr old son got their hair done here. They both went immediately following the COVID-19 when things were allowed to be open again and the service was on point! They were wonderful and even offered my husband, who is a paramedic, a discount. They have had to close their doors and endure what I can assume would be financial hardships due to COVID-19 and were still willing to offer a discount for First Responders! Please show support for local businesses and use the services offered here! They are great people with great service!

The men in my family have been coming to J&L at their original location and now their newer location for 20 yrs. Always friendly and great price. And of course great service and cut. They do men and women short cuts. Down home old fashioned way. Great place for a lil ones first cut. It reminds me of the song by Ray Stevens...when you get a haircut be sure to go back home. The new place looks as if it was transported from the old lol.

About a year ago I moved back to Fayetteville and I was very pleased to find out this barber shop was still serving the area. There are not many places which still offer a straight razor shave and it is even more rare to be able to get a tight fade (done correctly). They offer police/military discounts as well.

Hands down the best cut around. I stumbled on this place one day. I wad in desperate need of a hair cut, but discovered that all the barbers within a 12 mile radius fell that no one needs a cut early in the morning. Jerry was sitting in his chair waiting. They know the true spirit of what a barber is. Cut comes with a classic straight razor finish. A true reminder of what a barber should be. Owner was a barber on any army base for years and understands the needs of us early risers.

I went into the barber shop and didnt feel welcomed. All of the barbers looked at me funny and didnt greet me. I had to ask twice to get some service and they all looked at me crazy until one of the barbers said we arent good at that type of hair. So what does that tell you? If you are not Caucasian this isnt the barbershop for you.
