A new hearing aid presented fitting issues. Ben was thorough and patient. Sound Advice has been very helpful to my wife (also a hearing aid wearing) and me. I recommend them.

I did not go to Sound Advice because of poor hearing. I found Sound Advice through the National Tinnitus Asso. I had been suffering from very loud tinnitus (caused from a virus) for over 3 years. It caused me a great deal of anxiety. Dr. Ben and his staff set me up with hearing aids that uses white noise to train my brain to put the tinnitus in the background. It’s been 6 months and the results have been amazing!! I sometimes go full days now without noticing the buzzing. I am very grateful for the care I receive. Appointments are never rushed and all questions are answered thoroughly. My favorite “staff” member is Kevin. He always enthusiastically greets you!!

Sound advice is wonderful!. Ben is great and sensitive & caring. I bring my mom in there who is 94 (with dementia) & she is not always easy or predictable and the whole staff is so nice & understanding They are exceptional & I would highly recommend Sound Hearing to anyone who has a hearing issue. It is a very well trained staff. And I can’t say enough good things about this business.

I found Sound Advice in Livonia. I worked with Hannah. She was soft spoken and easy to work with. After a hearing test and answering some questions we reviewed the test results. She showed me style options and made suggestions on a hearing aid. I told her what I had in mind. I weighed her suggestions and my thoughts and it was an easy experience with no hassles. My 92 year old mother was reluctant to see an audiologist. Finally she agreed to go. I contacted Sound Advice and made an appointment.The receptionist was so kind and helpful I was looking forward to the appointment. Beware: unsound advice for earwax.DO NOT come here for earwax removal. See an ENT, where they will suction out the earwax, instead of using a scraper to push the earwax in further or forgetting to flush out your ear after pouring caustic chemicals down your ear. Unfortunately the last two things were done to me.I came to this center in March 2021 for a plugged up ear, since it was jammed with earwax and was ringing loudly. The website said they do help remove earwax, and so I came in. The only problem was that they did not remove my earwax, and I left the office with my ear still ringing and full of earwax. The only thing they removed was $40 from my pocket. The audiologist claimed there was no earwax remaining.However, yesterday I had an appointment with an ENT (Ear nose throat specialist), and he removed about a pencil eraser-and-a-half of earwax was that I visibly saw...either my ear was so plugged up that the audiologist could not see anything (and thus thought she removed the earwax), or, according to the ENT, my ear canals are facing upward, and she was not looking at the right angle.I give 2 stars instead of 1 because:Receptionist (Courtney) was very nice, and got me in on the same day;Audiologist (Hannah) genuinely was trying to help me, and it did seem like she cared.

I got new hearing aids about 2 years ago at Sound Advice, and Ive been very satisfied. I especially like the note every 6 months reminding me to have my hearing aids checked.

It was an absolutely amazing and professional experience. From start to finish I was treated wonderful and the technology along with the true care for my hearing was perfect. I was unable to hear voices clearly and with the hearing aides I purchased I hear so much more clearly without increasing other noises around me. The area of need was enhanced considerably and the aides are barely viable yet fantastic improvements. Thank you Ben, you truly made my life better.

I originally was a client of Lypka Hearing and when I needed service on my aids called and found out that Jackie Lypka had sold to Ben and Sound Advice Audiology. I came in and Karley sent my aid to the manufacturer without any inquisition. I recently lost one of my aids in Mexico and called when I returned. I was informed of the cost to replace, paid, it was ordered, and upon arrival an appointment was scheduled. Ben greeted me, gave me a hearing test, cleaned my original aid, programed the new aid, paired with my phone app and we had a conversation about how he came an audiologist and his route to being the owner of Sound Advice Audiology.Great experience!
