The Ashley HomeStore in Madison Heights sent us here to return barstools. We ordered counter height barstools and the barstools they delivered were bar height. And they were also damaged. We drove 20 miles to this warehouse, only to have the warehouse employees tell us that they couldn’t take the items. The managers were generally unhelpful at the store and the warehouse. Fortunately 2 regular employees went out of their way to help us get our items returned.
I want to scream. We ordered a couch and ottoman 2 months ago and called about pickup for this weekend. We were informed that the ottoman had been damaged and no order had been placed to replace it. We set up a pickup time for the couch and drove an hour (in a rented moving van, which is quite costly) to get it. Turns out the couch was damaged too, and no one informed us. So now our time and money has been wasted the day before a big move, and we dont have furniture for our new condo.I will never, EVER do business with Ashley Furniture again. This is simply unacceptable and inexcusable.
By far the worst furniture store around. Talked to 3 different people about the same delivery and got 3 different answers. One person said the material was at the distribution center. The next person said none of it is there. The last person said a few pieces are missing.I recommend to stay far away from this company. No one knows what’s going on. Spend your money elsewhere.!!!
If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered two bedroom sets. During the first delivery money came up missing from the room the delivery drivers were in and they did not wear masks during their delivery. During the second delivery the furniture came damaged. Again the delivery people took their masks off during the delivery after they entered my house in my 11 year old daughters room. Every time I have called to follow up, I have been put on hold for at least 20 minutes for each call. no one has been able o fix the issue. It took three months just to deliver the furniture which was about 2 months longer than the sales person told me it would take. It will take another month apparently to get the non-broken replacement piece. By far the worst company I have ever done business with.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST FURNITURE STORE TO EVER PURCHASE FROM!!! Takes longer than the promised delivery date to receive my items. I am in Awh at the unprofessionalism this company offers. Customer service is no help whatsoever. I’m serious when I say spend your money elsewhere!!!!!
0 STARS should be an option! By far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I ordered furniture 4 months ago was told delivery would be less than 30 days.Almost 4 months later I finally get a delivery date. The delivery guy asked me If I had help bringing in my furniture?? Told me they were not bringing it in and setting it up because what his paper work said..I asked him to call someone because his paperwork was wrong he said he was not going to argue and left with my furniture 2 days before Christmas! I still have no furniture!! You can only get someone from a call center on the phone who really cant do anything but send some emails! This store is a joke and I will make sure to let anyone I know shopping for furniture to not even consider Ashleys Homestore
Ashley Furniture is absolutely the worst furniture store around. We made multiple orders and scheduled them for pick up from their distribution center in Farmington Hills. We were guaranteed that the distribution center would call us when our orders arrived, and we never got a single call for any of our orders. It took literal HOURS and DAYS on hold with their distribution center on multiple occasions to get any sort of answer on if our orders ever arrived. Once we were finally able to pick our orders up, half of the chairs didnt have any holes for the screws, so my husband had to drill them out himself. We expect more than this when we paid almost $800 for a table set. We made our order back in August, and we STILL are fighting to get the bench that we ordered. NEVER buying from Ashley again.
If I could give them ZERO stars I would!! I ordered my living room set early August and Ashley Homestore said they will arrive September 29th. We got a text saying they’ll then arrive November 3rd so I took off work and waited for them, NEVER SHOWED UP! I am beyond frustrated and STILL waiting for my furniture. Never ever buying from Ashley again this is ridiculous.
Even one star is too much. My parents bought a TV stand with fireplace option, 2 piers and a bridge. The delivery guys came and started assembling the furniture. They assembled the two piers and left the bridge. They did have issues with assembling the tv stand with the fireplace. They asked my dad where is the closest store he replied 14 mile and John r rd in Madison Heights. One of the delivery guys left a note on delivery bill that they had some issues with assembly and will return put together they never came back. Called twice the store on John r rd and all they did was left the note to distribution to call me ba back and let me know when theyll be back with my TV stand. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. I called the distribution center in Tennessee and the lady said that my tv stand is on back order, when I asked about fireplace she told me they see a picture of the delivery and it said that delivery guys left fireplace at my home, but I dont have the fireplace because it goes in the TV stand. They offered me 10% off of tv stand ($25) and I didnt agree to that small discount. The lady at the distribution center hang up on me and thats how it ended. Worst experience ever with getting a delivery and solving a problem.

They failed to deliver my couch 3 times, and dont call when they say they did.
It is a very professional distribution center. When you go in off of research drive make sure that you just drive all the way around to the back if you are doing a pickup. Someone will come to the dock and verify your pickup and they will then get your merchandise and load it to your vehicle. All of the personnel there had complete professional attitudes and I would definitely service that location again. Off Grand River n Halstead
My delivery never happen. I was told that my furniture would be to me between 3 and 5:45 p.m. The level of incompetent was really sad.. I got off work early to wait for the delivery. No one ever showed up. Mimd you I live less than 5 minutes away from the Farmington Hills Distribution Center on Research Drive.Its obvious that the driver was being either lazy or couldnt read street signs and addresses. That is just the start. My wife called the Customers service center where thry were of no help they tild my eife that there was not a manager on duty. Ok that is fine. She asked for a manager name amd none was given. She was hung up. So I called back and tried to explain the situation amd I was also humg up on. It was a 505 exchange.Common sense would have prompted the driver to call and say her we are here we eant to make sure we are at the right address. My apartment complex off was open so why not stop there. We were told thst we was the last stop of the day. The delivery time was over at 5:45 p.m. By the time I got in my car and drove 5 minutes away to the distribution center no one was there other than the janitor cleaning the building. So after I lost this this on this site. Im going to post on social media. Im tired of bad customer service with a bunch of excuses and Im sorries. I will cancel this sale and soend my monry with people that can treat a paying customer with respect. I bet someine ekse will take our 1,100.00. I will take another trip to Ashleys Distribution Center tomorrow and speak with the Warehouse Manager on site and I bet it will be a different story.
Bought a couch on December 10th. Scheduled pickup for December 17th. It is now January 20th and my couch still isn’t in to be picked up. Every time I call I’m told it will be in (at certain date). I call after a few days and the date changes again. I’ve had custom couches made that take less time to receive than an in stock couch from Ashley. Never again!

If I could give zero stars I would!!!The saleman himself mentioned the delivery service was horrible, of course after the paperwork was complete. We shecudled for 2 weeks out but rescheduled for another 2 weeks out as Ashely mentioned they were missing a piece of our couch.With our delivery date being on a Saturday and being that they made us reschedule 2 weeks out, we sold our current couch to make room for the new one the night before. We had a big party planned and our couch was needed for our Sunday football / house warming party. We had to cancel the day of.As a percaution, I called pior to our delivery frame to make sure everthing was ok. I was told by thier customer service that everything was all set and she confirmed my delivery window. Being extra precautious I called halfway through my delivery window and was told the drivers were on stop 7 and we were stop 9, they would be delivering soon. After my delivery window was missed I called again to confirm delivery, I was told they have finished with stop #8 and were on thier way to our house for delivery.For the next 2 hours I sat on the living room floor waiting for the company to show up in which they never did. I tried to call again and the service line was now closed. No one ever called to say they would be late, to say they wouldnt be delivering, for even the slightest bit of decency.I write this review today sitting next to my pregant wife (who is tired of laying in bed all day) with no couch, no call, no idea when our couch will be deliverying. I am certain when I finally speak to someone about this, nothing will be done and the company will contiinue to miss deliverys and remain indecent.I will be putting in a complaint with the better business bureau and for anyone reading this I hope you spend the time to look at the reviews on the BBB website as ASHLEY FURNITURE IS A INDECENT COMPANY WITH NO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.
They suck. Never again.
