I received my Maid of Honor dress for my sisters Wedding, of course the breast area was too small and needed the regular alterations as well. I came to this location not realizing how close it was. The timing was amazing, and had time to try on just to see if I would like it. She redesigned/customized the back of my dress from a plain zip up to a beautiful laced up corset that fitted perfectly and my family lovvveeeddd it. I had to get my wedding dinner gown altered and the owner was super helpful! I had a custom made beaded gown which did not fit me after I received the dress from the designer.I was referred to this place and was not sure what to expect. She had to take the entire top half of the dress off, and remake the dress completely! She was really patient with all the beadwork in my dress and I was very happy with the end product. I give her 5 stars!She also had my dress done in a timely manner. I highly highly recommend!

Came in to drop off my garment to be fixed. She told me to come on Friday. I called Saturday asking if it was ready. She yelled at me saying “ I don’t know why you are calling I told you it would be ready” and the proceeded to hang up on me. So I come in the next day and turns out the garment has not been touched and another lady tells me she can’t fix it. Very very rude owners. Go else where to get your items fixed. I recommend franklin tailor shop on Middlebelt road. Do not come here unless you want to be overcharged and have your time wasted.

Maria did some critical day before the wedding alterations to my wedding dress in 2017 that were high quality and very important. Talented seamstress.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Needle Nook for seamstress work. Ask for MARIA. She is the owner, professional, honest and a very kind woman. She was able to hem my curtains and customize some curtain panels with finished edges within 24 hours! I gave her 2 yards, which was enough to execute the job. She said to call her the next day (Friday) when she cuts for the prep to see if its enough material or not. Maria quoted 2 days for the job to be complete.When i called on Friday, she was able to complete the job! I was shocked in a very good way!!!! The customized curtain panels are PERFECT as well as the hemmed curtains.She actually had material left and gave me the scraps, along with a finished edge strip of material good enough to be a table runner! Yes, out of her kindness she did that!!! The unexpected table runner matches the curtain panels, which are in the dining room together. Im so HAPPY!!!!Ill definitely return for all of my tailoring needs.

Life Saver!!! Not only was she ingenious saving me from A wedding dress Nightmare, she was so fast and excellent to work with. The alterations she made on my dress made my dress more beautiful than the Original design. She’s been making her own wedding dresses since she was a teen, wonderful woman and great alterations. I have been going to Maria for many years. I just took my mother there and had Maria do her gown for my nephews wedding. The work she did on a delicate fabric was impeccable.She is so skilled and so knowledgeable and so fair with her pricing. I have never had an issue with her. She works very hard 6 days a week. Regardless of the weather she is there if you need to pick up your items. Her work ethic is top-notch.

I discovered Needle Nook a couple years ago. I brought in a couple of my suits. I couldn’t be more happier with the quality of work that Maria does. I recommended the place to my entire family. My wife got a dress online, and it was too big. After Maria did her magic, it was a perfect fit.

I went to her to get some work done on my wedding dress. (a bustle put on) This lady had the nerve to have my wedding dress up in her front showcase window that is facing the parking lot( who does that). I was very upset to say the least when I pulled up. I will never go to her and I advice anyone else to leave the strange lady alone.

I had clothes already tailored but the quality was poor. So when I brought it here, she noticed and she fixed the stitching, and now they fit great and feel great. she really knows what she is doing. Basically, you can give her a piece of cloth and shell turn it into a fitted suit!

What a strange person. I came in, put the garment I needed work done on, told her what I wanted, and then she started arguing with me. It was just, strange. The price she finally quoted me was twice what Ive paid at other places. I passed. Ill never get those 7 very odd minutes back.
