Waste of 220 dollars... Interior drip marks, dirt (mud!), hair, smudges all over. Trying to mask lack of cleaning with a greasy ghetto armorall-type solution. I do not have the time or desire to have them go over it again. Save your money and go elsewhere. I do not blame the detailer since it’s up to management to certify their quality before returning a vehicle. Note: My car was not even severely dirty before their intervention.
Good place, and good customer service in face.However, they lacked the detailed touch and cleaning.As I inspected my car when I pick up, I saw some stains from tree rosin and ETC. They cleaned them up quickly.After I drive my car for a while, I discovered that they did not vacuum the trunk and back side under the rear window properly to see dusts and dead bodies of bugs staying still.Are those defects because I used the Groupon? I would not like to pay full price ($200+) again if they keep doing service like this. 😕I would not fully trust their service, but I will do some more thorough inspection once I am back to them again.

Customer service in-person was great, no complaints there but that’s the extent of the positive experience. I made the mistake of trusting that the reviews were reflective of the service that I was expecting to receive and did not do a detailed inspection of the detail before leaving. At a glance the clean was not perfect and could definitely use some work but it wasn’t major enough to hold up the day over. A couple days later I noticed that the plastic surfaces in the back had obviously not been cleaned. More so than finding the dirt I was more agitated that I paid extra for the third row to be addressed AND service was supposed to include a treatment on all plastic surfaces. I attempted to contact a rep (online and via phone) to see if anything could be done to correct the services that were not performed...still nothing. No return calls or follow up.

Ive been waiting a while to write this review as I wanted to wait until after my court date with Carsmetology of Farmington Hills.I took my vehicle in early April to redeem a groupon for interior and exterior detail. Before I handed my keys over, they had a preinspection sheet to cover any previous damages. They found none on my vehicle. I handed my keys to the employee and left while they worked on my car.I returned after I had got a call stating my car is complete. I drove it right home aproximately 10 minutes. My friends I had over came outside to admire my vehicle. As we walked around the vehicle, my friend, an experienced auto body tech/ lead painter, noticed a large scratch spanning the majority of the passenger side of my vehicle that had been covered up with a slightly mismatched paint pen as well as a shallow but large dent in the rear door. I immediately took pictures of this to time stamp them.I tried 4 different occasions to resolve this with Carsmetology and ended up having to take them to small claims court. They never showed up to the hearing and I won my case.The damages to my car were roughly $2,000I included a few photos of the repair of my vehicle. The pictures I had of the damages were hard to see with the lighting and I think the pictures of the repair does more justice. The areas you see bondo/primer are where the dents where and the majority of the side of my vehicle had to be sanded down to properly blend the fresh paint.Here are some facts:-They do have paint touch up pens at their facility and offer this as an add on (of which i did not purchase)-I had to wait for them to find someone who could drive stick (pro) however the person they found i could tell wasnt familiar with driving one as when he when to move it the car lurched forward and stalled. the second attempt was successful but revved the vehicle up too high.-I was promised video footage on a USB drive I was to provide. When i provided the USB drive they told me it was against there policy.-I asked for my preinspection sheet and received another customers with damage marked on it. therefore, i had to go back again to get mine.-I was accused by an employee of Carsmetology that I look like the type of person whose looking to get free work done to their car.-I was offered one resolution by the district manager, Applying the correct paint pen to my car and blending it and they would only charge me half. I did not want to pay them any more money and it does not take care of the dent.-After I started working on my case, i went back a month later with my resolution and talked to the district manager. He told me he did not even want to hear my resolution so I told him i would have to pursue small claims.-The detail itself was subpar. Wax residue left on my car. Small scratches all over (from a dropped sponge maybe?). luckily these will polish out.-I hand wash my car every 2 to 3 days so im pretty familiar with any defects my car has and it did not have this many scratches before. I am a car nut and I also have a very distinct process of washing my vehicle as to not containment the water so I am quite certain these did not come from me.I want to address this, I have no issue with my vehicle being damaged as long as it is taken care of. Throughout the majority of my process of dealing with Carsmetology I maintained my composer even when being accused of trying to get free work done to my car.I also do not know if the working managers knew about this as it could have been an employee covering up his mistake.I would use caution if you are considering taking your vehicle here and if something does happen, you will probably have to fight your way through it to get a resolution.EDIT: Felt the need to update after winning my court case.Running out of Characters so ill keep it shortCarsmetology never paid in set time frame determined by the ?court?. Had to file seizure of property to claim my repair money. Luckily this worked. From detail to collecting my judgement took close to a year.
Great place with great people! Ally was behind the desk and was so helpful and informative. Her positive attitude really lit up the waiting area. In the waiting area they provided snacks, fresh coffee, tea, snacks and even Netflix if you choose to wait for your car. The detailers and all other staff members were so friendly and welcoming. They walk through the waiting area very polite, greet you and are informative about the progress of your vehicle. I purchased the makeover package which included a full interior and exterior detailing where they work on your car for up to 4 hrs. I definitely recommend this! The detailers did a phenomenal job and I could tell they really took their time to make it look perfect. At the end of the service they walked with me around the car to ensure I was completely satisfied with all parts of the service I chose. I will definitely be back again!
This was my second visit but, with another vehicle to the Farmington Hills location. I called yesterday and got lucky to get an appointment to have my car detailed today. I am extremely happy, once again with my complete experience. From the initial walk around of my vehicle to the overall outcome of it...Amazing! Just a great customer service experience and a genuine care and concern for customers by the entire staff. Thank so much for making my day that much better! My car looks absolutely fantastic inside and out!

Lousy quality. I have been using them for many years but now there service quality has became worst that I can not even explain. I paid FULL price (Over $200) for my minivan to be detailed and they unfortunately did not do quality job. My wife called them to complain, they got us another appointment and tried to clean again. Guess what, they even ruined my car carpet now. When we received the car, the carpet was soaking wet, the interior is not cleaned which they supposed to do first time, they technically did not do anything second time except soaked my carpet. Seems like they got lousy labor who is really trying to destroy customer vehicle. I dont go here again. I am done. I am willing to talk to management for more detail if they email me back or call me. I need my money back. Paid $200 but I paid them to ruin my car. They should name their business Distremetology - destroys your car.
First of all hands up the best place for Hand washes and waxing and other cleaning such as glass, interior restoration, Carpet care, and engine cleaning. Ally and Carlos are always there for me. They are my favorite team there. They are honest and kind and enjoy my company and my cars and making them look beautiful. They will never let me and all you new customers down. They are also quick. I made an appointment for spa package. They cancelled it the night before, I still got charged for the service and had to wait 72 hours for a refund. Frustrating.
Most unprofessional auto detailing center. Dont waste your time and money. They kept my van the entire day only to tell me that they need more money and time. Car was dropped off at 8.40 and they called me at 1.30 to tell me that they needed more time and money. I agreed that I will be ok with whatever they could do in the next 4 hours as discussed at 8.40. I called around 4.40pm asking if I could pick my vehicle. The receptionist said that I would receive a call when it was complete. She then called me at 4.59pm right before closing to tell me that they didnt touch my vehicle and that they need me to sign paperwork. I had enough from them so I said I would pick it up immediately. She then threw keys in the van, left the car in unlocked state, locked the office and left. I was so shocked that they would do this. This is totally unprofessional. She continued to call me from unknown number to tell me that it was safe as there were cameras. No wonder this place has so many negative ratings. She thought it was safe as there were cameras. I have never been to any repair or detailing shop that would leave the keys like this. And they still have my money. They asked me to disputed it with the credit card company. The front desk lady definitely needs training as she wasnt listening. The second person from the shop defended her and had no explanation as to why it took them so long to make a decision. The front desk lady didnt tell him that at 1.30 they had agreed to work on the car. So they clearly dont care about customer experience. Very shady, please do proper research before you go here.

Extremely friendly associates. I needed urgent assistance after spilling something in a friends car, and they were super helpful even though I arrived 20 minutes prior to them closing. Truly above and beyond help. I would gladly come back for other car detailing / cleaning needs.
They did a good Job on my SUV. I did go in the afternoon still they accommodated me with out an appointment in the weekend. I appreciate. Staff are polite. Seats were very dirty. Had lot of stains. They did an awesome job removing strains from the seats. I was very Happy. Highly recommend Plymouth location.
I’m upset I even have to give 1 star. There is absolutely no detail here. It’s just an average cleaning at best. How does the entire center console area get overlooked? Cup holders were not touched. Let me say that my car wasn’t really dirty; the sole purpose of me taking me car was to get rid of the cigarette smell from the previous owner. I only asked for an interior clean with the ozone treatment. I paid $130 ahead of time because I wasn’t sure that I would be able to get the car before business end. When I came to pick the car up I was told they didn’t feel like the car needed the ozone treatment and this didn’t do it. (The ozone treatment was $30). I asked what happens then since I prepaid. I was told that it can be worked out as a tip. Lightbulb should’ve gone off right there but I just simply agreed. The smell in the car has not lessened and I’m pretty livid. I called and asked for the manager to give me a call back and never received one. Even if you find a groupon for this place, STAY AWAY!!!

Stopped in for a hand car wash as I have used this place before detailing my vehicles....new location ...easier access...But the girl behind the counter who took care of me was one of the hardest workers I have ever seen before. I asked her if she owned the place cause she worked like she did. Hats off to Ally and the person who hired her!!! Also great car wash!! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to take care of their car!!
My car was covered in sap from parking under my pine trees in my drive. After spending over 3 hours myself trying to remove it I decided to take it into the professionals. I cant express how satisfied I am with their amazing job they did. My car looks brand new. I am so thankful. My husband was so impressed that he took his truck in for an exterior and interior detail as well. They will be getting our repeat business. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking in the Farmington Hills area.

The people we encountered at the shop were really helpful & super friendly and the truck looked ridiculously great! We used a Groupon and it was a steal for the service that we got. We even told them to focus on the seats mostly but the entire interior and exterior were shining & spotless.
I was referred to Carsmetology from my dealership. I had a wonderful experience - I took my filthy, salty car in today for a full interior/exterior cleaning. I am so happy with the results - my car looks like a brand new model, fresh off the showroom floor.I would gladly (and will come Monday at work) recommend Carsmetology for any detail work. The service is excellent, and fairly priced.
The quality of service highly depends on the individual cleaner who got assigned to work on your car. Unfortunately the person who worked on my car was not experienced at all (probably a new hire?), and didnt put his heart into the job. There were a few obvious stains he didnt clean and I had to tell him to do so during inspection. All in all, I would expect more from a $250 service but what I got didnt meet my expectations. Even at 50% discount I would not recommend it.I would have given 1 star, but +1 to the staff Ally at the frontdesk who was pleasant to work with.

I had a great experience with Carsmetology! Ive sent probably about 5-6 f my companys car here for regular monthly cleaning. They get the cars completed quickly and for a very reasonable price. Its also very convenient that they have a location in Troy and Ann Arbor as well. I will continue to use them.
They did a decent job on my car. However, they did not call me when it was completed like they said they would when I dropped it off. I called them at 5:30 to check status when I was informed it was completed. At that time, I gave them specific directions regarding my keys and pick up which they failed to follow which resulted in two trips to pick up my vehicle. It wasnt the best experience and probably will try somewhere else next time.
As advertised, no complaints and on time. The only suggestion for improvement is front desk...wish they could answer the phones or return back the calls.
The amount of time given to complete the car will never meet their expectations and even if you do finish ahead of time or on track youll have to do touch ups and theyll find the most assassin things that youve already cleaned and youll be re-cleaning what youve already cleaned when its perfectly fine. You have to cut corners to make money here no if ands or butts. I would get one car and finish it in 3 - 4 hours and be doing touch ups for another 3-4 hours and obviously one car doesnt cover 8 hours of being there. The workers will only be benefited if theyre paid hourly. If youre being paid commission per car like most of the workers I doubt any money is made in the rate of time being given or used.

Right before I sold my car, I took my SUV to Carsmetology for a full interior and exterior cleaning. I was very impressed with how well they did. I was able to sell my SUV for $200 more than I was originally offered because it was spotless clean. Thank you! I will certainly be using them in the future to get my vehicles cleaned!
Found this place (Plymouth location)by seeing them on Groupon so I went in there and bought the package but had it split up where they did the inside of one car (a friend) and the outside of the another car (my personal car). They did an excellent job on both cars and I couldnt have been more pleased by their work and service. Even when they did the outside of my car, they cleaned up the inside too! I dealt with the Manager Jeff Myers and told him how happy I was with their service. I will definitely refer their service to all of my friends and I will bring my other cars to them in the future. This review is for carsmetology but in particular the gentleman who cleaned my vehicle. He goes by A1 and I TOTALLY see how he got his name because his work is A-freakin-1. I almost dont want to let my secret out here, but I just really appreciate someone who takes pride in their work like he does and he deserves the credit! I have two white golden retrievers and it has always been a struggle to find someone who can truly get all of the hair out of my car. He is the one person I have found who consistently does a great job and your company is extremely lucky to have him on board!I highly recommend anybody facing the same problem I did to give A1 a try at carsmetology!-Jake
I am very disatisfied with my vehicle. While the employees were very friendly, the job they did on my car was no acceptable in any way. I showed up to pick up my car and they forgot to put all the mats back in as well as the coolers under the seat. I had to then put them in on my own, when I was in a hurry. Also, the windows were all streaked very badly. The dash board and display have marks on it, that I am not able to wipe off. Looks like they sprayed cleaner and did not properly wipe it. My wheels looked like the had barely been cleaned and still had a lot of dirt in/on them. The entire outside of my car had water spots all over it. They were supposed to have done a full wax, and did not look like they had done anything. Half the bug guts that were there upon drop off were still there. I also had marks on my hood that were not cleaned off. I came home and my husband wanted to know what they had even done, he was very upset. We bought this Living Social deal, as it seemed great, however, this turned out to be a horrible experience. I will not be taking my car back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone!

Owner is very un American. Treated my wife un professionally. Even though my plates had purple heart plates on them hey didnt even finish the job and said its done. Had to spend another 30 min watching them do it over again. Highly not recommended for military.
I had to make my appointment in person (26 miles one way) because their phone system has been broken for several months now, very frustrating. Many of their packages do not include carpet and seat cleaning, so read what you are getting carefully. Having said that they did a decent job on my vehicle.
If you are a car person and care about people doing a quality job this is the place for you. I took my black escalade to fix a terrible water spot problem and they did a fantastic job. The lady who answers the phone remembered me by name and my car from previous visits. Carlos who supervises is great at the details that makes all the difference.
Got a Groupon for my friends to use - they were happy with the customer service but the job itself was a poor and shoddy example of the work done. the car still looks dirty and it seems like the shop forgot what it means to detail a car - very poor work. So sorry to see such lack of quality.
Went there last week to get one window tinted on my Infiniti where the film had come loose. They jacked up the price when I got there, put on the wrong color, does not match at all and then have avoided my calls ever since
Had my 2007 Mustang in last week. This is the second year theyve done the full detailing on it and this is the second year I give them 5 stars. 92K miles and it looks and smells like new. Seats, carpet, dash, vents, widows, door jambs, under the hood, tires, wheels......... Raining today and the water just rolls of. Great wax job! If they missed something, I couldnt find it, and Im pretty fussy about my Mustang!
Had an appointment for auto detailing today...car looks great, inside and out, receptionist was very pleasant and helpful...my only concern is their phone system...calls go to voice mail but you cant leave a message because the voice mail is full...a real challenge if you need to talk to a person.
Absolutely awful service. I bought a $100 groupon for a car detailing and tried to contact this location for scheduling an appointment. I have called twice a month for 3 months with no luck.I have sent emails, left messages, and called the manager with no luck. I will be refunding this purchase today, i no longer have the patients to wait for such service.
I left my car there when I was out of town on a biz trip, upon returning my car was done detailed as if it was right out of the showroom.Jeff even met me at the shop to pick up my car when I returned on a Sunday morning.That is what I call Service !!!!!

A real disaster these people are! A real SHAM! I bought the Groupon where the rating was much higher (FALSE!) The staff are not skilled or trained in this type of work. My $54k vehicle has sustained significant damage to the rear left quarter panel. I found 3 dents in the quarter panel traversing vertically downwardbexactly 4 inches apart from each other as if something heavy was leaned (ladder) or dropped onto the vehicle. The manager Matthew and Brian refused to take responsibility, dodging my phone calls. They tell me they have cameras in the shop, but wont allow me to view the footage. I have filed all the necessary reports. Dont take a chance on having your vehicle damaged... they dont care.

They did an excellent job at cleaning the interior of the car as well as waxing the exterior, my ten year old car looks new again! The only reason Im not giving them five stars is because the WINDOWS were still FILTHY. It was like they hardly touched them. They touched them just enough to smear the grime around to make them look really streaked and dirty. I had to clean them myself after I got the car home. For the price I paid for an exterior and interior clean up, I would have expected the windows to be included.
I was in there this week. And the manager Justin was very knowledgeable when it comes to automotive detailing and customer service was first class!I highly recommend Carsmetology for your detailing needs so give them a call and they will make your vehicle look like new again the way they did mine!

For about $120, they washed my carpets, my interior and exterior. It hasnt been this clean since we.bought it. Beautiful job and affordable prices!

Took avantage of a special for $100, thinking it was a good deal--turned out to be a waste of time and money. I dropped the car off at 8am and they called me to tell me it was finished at 1:45pm.... Exterior was OK, but very, very similar to a car wash job. The interior was cleaned, but just wiped down. Lots of missed areas (head rest, back of seat, lower part of glove box ) Floor mats were cleaned, but carpets were simply not done--at ALL. I showed the young lady working the front desk, and she offered to have me come back or wait while the guys cleaned the rugs--but that is not the point--its either finished or its not. So, zero inspection or quality control. Why make the customer open the door to drive away and see it wasnt done? With auto service work, you know its a bit of a pain to get someone to drive you there and back, so you want it done correctly without having to go back and forth. Save your money and go someplace else.
I had different experience here in this location and not sure about other location. Touch paint for my scratch was very bad and they charged 50$ for that. They way they did even i can do. Also wheels are not cleaned properly. Some dash board they forgot to clean. I added many addons and everything is not upto the level. Totally disatisfied after spending 200$ in total. Never recommend to any body else.
Unreal!! The Plymouth location just suddenly is closed! I had an appointment because I had received a Gift Certificate for Christmas from my family. I called and called all last week, no answer. I drove there and theres a new company there now! Door was locked. I kept calling and finally someone answered from the new comany and gave me the number for a guy named Brian who was the owner of Carsmethology. Ive called him, no call back!! Grrrrr!! Are they out of business?

I recently took my Mercedes to Carsmetology for interior and exterior service. I did not have a good experience. The dahboard had noticeable smudges, interior windows had streaks and the rims were not cleaned evenly. I would not recommend nor return.
Giving this joke of a company a one star rating is generous. Everything from ownership, to the employees is a joke. Adam Bronson, owner of Carsmetology detailing is the most corrupt man Ive ever had the misfortune of meeting. Every single one of there shops is a joke. The troy location for example, its an empty, disgustingly filthy warehouse building with awful lighting and hourly workers who claim to be detailers but dont even know the basics. The tactics used by the owners (adam and aaron) are completely disgusting and I feel genuinely sorry for anyone who has to work under guys like them. This company should be shut down. If you want to support corrupt and severely flawed businesses, then by all means, please use carsmetology. If you want a quality detail done, use Maximus (detailing shop right down the street from troy carsmetology and there work is 2000% more professional) My hate for this company cant even be explained. Everything from drenching the engine bays and causing severe electrical problems, clay barring with DIRTY clay bars( essentially the same thing as rubbing sandpaper across your paint) which causes and leads to severe scratching and swirl marks, all the cheap material they use, everything is just a complete joke. Also not sure how they get away with saying they use meguiars product when they dont(come on, we all know Adams way to cheap to use Meguiars products) all they use is carbrite products which is complete garbage, everything from there tire shine to interior dressing, If you have ANY respect for your vehicle, DO NOT bring it to carsmetology. They WILL destroy it. And why support a corrupt owner who doesnt even pay these claimed professional detailers minimum wage! Adam Bronson and Aaron Begget, you two should be deeply ashamed. This company is an all around disaster and will be closing there doors sooner than later.
My detailing nightmare cost me $1400 and almost cost me my vacation. I used a Groupon and had my 2009 Dodge minivan detailed at Carsmetology. When I picked up the van, it looked very nice inside. Although they had completely missed the headliner/sun visors, they were willing to let me bring the van back another day to get that cleaned.Two hours after I picked up the van, the entire body electrical system (instrument cluster, radio, DVD, climate control, power sliding doors, power seats etc.) went dead, and the headlights and wipers defaulted to on. When I opened the hood to check the fuse box, I realized that the engine had been spray cleaned (engine looked clean and residual water was evident). This happened the day before I was going to drive the van to Florida on vacation.The next day, I took the van to the Dodge dealer (fortunately, the engine still ran). They diagnosed the electronic fuse box (called TIPM--$910) as being damaged by water entry, and in addition, when it failed it also shorted out the instrument cluster ($510) in the process. Aside from the cost, a replacement cluster takes nearly a week to get because it contains the odometer and only Chrysler Corporation can transfer the mileage to a new cluster (to prevent odometer fraud). My van would not be getting me to Florida.I was able to borrow a van from my sister which saved my vacation, but I was still out over $1400 for repairs to my van. When I returned, I called Carmetology to ask what they would do for me. They told me that they would do nothing because they spray clean the engines of minivans all the time and nothing like this has ever happened. And they said I should have given them a chance to fix the van first. Sorry, I was desperate to go on vacation, and I took it to an expert (dealer), not the first hack I could find.I am currently in the process of filing a lawsuit in small claims court seeking reimbursement of the $1400 I paid to get the van fixed. Obviously, I would not recommend this business.Update 10/6/13: A few weeks ago, my case came up in small claims court. At the trial, I learned the hard way that a moral wrong is not always a legal wrong. I lost the case, so Im out the $1400+.The judge ruled that I did not prove that Carsmetology caused the damage. I had three pieces of evidence to indicate that Carsmetology caused this: 1) the fact that the damage occurred just a few hours after the engine was spray cleaned; 2) a statement from the dealer that they found water in the TIPM module; and 3) an admission in court from the owner of the business that electrical anomalies do happen occasionally when they spray clean the engine (counter to what I was told before court that this kind of thing never happens). But the judge didnt consider that enough evidence. She said I needed to have the dealer technician in court with me so he could be questioned.Ironically, the owner or Carsmetology never disputed that they caused the damage. He knew they did. He was only fighting this because he felt I didnt handle the problem correctly after it occurred.Now my only recourse is letting people know what can happen. Is this going to happen to everyone? Of course not. But with such a huge cost potentially coming your way after the detailing, do you want to take that chance?

This is a company that s to the hits on there workers, who in the world gonna clean a dirty car that takes 6 hrs to clean, and only get payed for 3 hrs cause thats how long it should of took according to carsmetology. Staffed by greedy management on top of always being in a rush thats what happens. Not a wonder why theres no time for pride here.
Service is too bad they charge me like 122$ and they did clean the even seats .and when i ask them they given very ridiculous answers ans the customer service is too bad..i recommended please dont go to there..very bad service
