John quickly diagnosed it and replaced the RS wheel bearing. But, it doesnt stop there. I asked him to check the car for other issues. He found several but told me those arent needed yet. The most honest/trustworthy mechanic I have ever met in my life. To make a long story short, I would be a very easy person to take advantage of when it comes to car repairs - I know nothing! But Johnny is one of the last few people in this world today that you can take at their word. I cant recommend him enough and I only wish that I had more friends with bum cars to refer to him for business. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and efficient. I brought my car in for a coolant issue because my vehicle wouldnt retain antifreeze in the reservoir. He was able to diagnose the issue quickly. Turns out it was because a hose clamp needed to be replaced and he fixed it right on the spot. Great and honest service. Im having them work on additional issues as well. Johnny was so flexible with my schedule as far as dropping off and picking up my car, he was honest about the problems I was worried about with my car, and I knew he was looking out for me as a customer. John is a one of a kind mechanic and he will do right by you. As a young woman, I usually get talked to a certain way by some mechanics because they think I know nothing about my car, but that was not the case with John. There was no judgement, I felt comfortable being honest with him about my car, and he was kind to me every step of the way. I have a 2004 Mini Cooper S, and, for the past few years, on my work commute, I have driven by D & J Auto Services 2x daily. My thought was that there is no better advertising than to see the steady stream and turnover of high-end vehicles. I took my Cooper to John A. (D&J Auto) in December 2017 and John installed a new clutch at a significant savings over other quotes I had received, plus oil change/filter. June 2018 - with my Cooper approaching 100,000 miles and due for spark plugs, plus a regular oil/filter change, it started overheating, John A. quickly diagnosed the problem. The service for my Cooper: new electric fan, coolant reservoir cap, coolant, recharge AC system, oil change/filter, spark plugs/wires, a couple of new front-end bulbs. I will continue to go to D & J Auto and have John A. service my Cooper. He is knowledgeable, skilled and reasonably priced. David L.

I drove in from the west side of the state to look at purchasing a pre-owned SUV from a Farmington Hills auto dealership. Not knowing anyone locally, I drove around on a Saturday hoping to find an independent mechanic that might have time to inspect the vehicle. John dropped what he was doing to look the car over. He checked the engine, thoroughly examined the body for any signs of past body work and test drove the vehicle with me. He offered good, unbiased advice both on the SUV and on working with the dealership.

This place is highly recommended! As someone who knows literally nothing about cars, it is terrifying when something goes wrong because you have no idea who you can trust. Johnny was very honest and helped me out big time without stealing my money for repairs I didnt need. Even though I dont live in the area, I will without a doubt be back if I need anything and I am telling all of my friends!

My car was overheating for about a week and a half. After taking it to another mechanic, my car was overheating. And the second place I took it too tried to tell me it was for sure my head gasket.I guess 3rd time is the charm because I took it to Johnnys and he knew immediately what was wrong with my car and was able to fix it within a couple days.As a girl (especially younger and from out of state) its hard to find a mechanic you can trust to tell you like it is and to make sure your car is working the way it should. Ill definitely be coming back if my car has any issues in the future.

Was recommended D & J by my tow truck driver who had to tow my bmw home after the transmission went out. He got the job done quick, and cheap, also answered all my other questions and helped with other issues i was having with my bmw. Ill be back for all my future bmw repairs needed.

I would highly recommend this auto shop for repairs. I was having electronic issues in my vehicle and pulled in on my way home from work. The mechanic looked at my car right away and diagnosed the problem on the spot. He unplugged the device causing the short in the circuit system and sent me on my way free of charge. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will be taking my cars here in the future.
