Apparently they are the only contractor Viking uses in the DFW metroplex for repairs and services. However, the level of customer service and representation deserves 0 stars. Phone receptionist needs re-training on customer service and also how to respect clients.
So Lakeview is the only company in the DFW area that will do warranty work on a Viking refrigerator. The parts were covered under the Viking warranty, however labor was not. There was a $1,500 flat rate charged and the technician completed the job from arrival to departure in 4 hours. A beautiful $375 per hr job. I will say Viking does stand behind the flat rate charge as well so I cant completely fault Lakeview for pricing gouging on their own behalf. The Viking appliances came with the house we purchased and we will not be choosing Viking or Lakeview Appliance in the future. Definitely a deep state conspiracy. lol
I would not recommend.
I could not encourage you enough to find a different appliance repair company. The quality of workmanship from Lakeview Appliance is poor. They have worked on our Liebherr refrigerator 3 times, each time causing a different problem than before, and never quite fixing the original issue.
My dishwasher wasn’t working and I found them on the manufacturer’s website. I called and had to leave a message. That was fine, I think it was after hours or on a holiday.I had unscrewed the dishwasher from underneath the counter and pulled it out to look over it before deciding to call for service. It was hooked up, I had just pulled it out a bit which made it easier for anyone to work on.They promptly returned my call, were very upfront about pricing, and showed up when they said. Everything was going great.Their technician looked at it for a few minutes and discovered that the problem was not with the part that he thought it was (and had brought with him).He approached me as I was working in my office and told me that the problem seemed to be caused by “high water pressure.“Then, he just stood there looking at me as if it was my turn to speak or something...I was waiting for him to tell me what he was planning on doing to fix it...I believe I ended up asking him what he was going to do to fix it. I remember he said that he wasn’t their usual Bosch dishwasher guy, so he wasn’t sure. Their other guy was off or something. So I told him, “If the water pressure is too high, why don’t you just close the water supply valve a bit...”He paused and said, “Um, that might work.”He called sometime and I overheard him mention that on the phone. I got back to work.10-15 minutes later, he came in and said that that had worked. He ran his diagnostics and everything looked good.I asked him if he could please push the dishwasher back into its hole, secure it and put the rubber trim back around it. He said he didn’t know how to do that.Remember the PART that he had brought with him? That he was prepared to replace? It goes on the BACK and BOTTOM of the dishwasher. THAT would have required him to pull the dishwasher out of its hole! I was thinking...What?! Was he planning on replacing the part and leaving the dishwasher out?!So in the end, I paid an appliance repair man who carries dishwasher repair parts, may or may not know how to pull them out of their holes to fix them, but *admittedly doesn’t* know how to put them back in, $125.00 to drive to my house so I could teach him how to solve a “high water pressure” problem.🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I had a very good experience with Lakeview Appliance Repair. There was a mix up on my initial attempt to get a technician to my house to look at my Smeg oven, and Melody expressed concern on the confusion and made sure the the next appointment was confirmed. Marquel, the service technician, was awesome. He took his time to diagnose the problem and he thoroughly explained the solution as well as all of my options. All around it was good service and a good experience, I would definitely use them again.
