Popped caused I needed to purchase a cord for my router....the associate just handed me one smiled said have a great day....now thats service with a smile thanks midco
Decent at best. Theyre certainly above whatever CenturyLink has to offer but thats an extremely low bar. We pay $80 a month for 1tb internet speeds, and we rarely get above 5mb. Keep your expectations low when purchasing plans in this area.
Walk in. Set up acct. Get modem. Go Set up self install. Get connected. Fast and easy.... unlike century link
Great internet for a great price! Im so glad I made the switch from CenturyLink! Their customer service is good but I have had a bit of a hard time getting my billing date changed to match my SSDI payday so I dont get phone calls about a late bill. That would be my only complaint!
Every person iv ever spoke to at midco is always pleasant and so sweet and if I was having a bad day they new how to cheer me up wile Im on hold. I love midco s customers service. You guys rock
MidCo has always been an easy company to work with and they are very quick and efficient. Their technicians are ALWAYS on time if not earlier than anticipated and even call you EVERY time when they are about to arrive when you have a scheduled hook -up or service call! Go MidCo West Fargo, ND☺
Save your money. $80 monthly and I can’t even stream Disney+. What am I paying for exactly? Definitely nowhere near the advertised speed.
Have been getting internet from Midco for a little while now. It has been good and fast internet. I did a self install which was quite easy because the people that lived in my locations before me also had midco. But the install was very easy and the customer service was great when I had some trouble finding the internet coaxial port. The modem is really nice and we are able to get internet all over our house with no dead spots. Below I have attached a picture of the modem that you are able to rent from Midco along with your internet. This is the modem I would reccomend.
Hello I called service and was hung up on by 3 different people and a Guest Service Supervisor. I just want to let everyone know how disappointing the service and lack of help was.
Needed to update my router and walked right in and was warmly greeted right away. Rep found me a better router and went over basic setup with me. Took 10 minutes
They have excellent customer services as well as the Internet is very good and no outages.
Dont get me wrong. You should get Midco for your internet provider. They are the best in town. The reason for this 1 star is when you move, TRY TO PLUG YOUR MODEM/ROUTER IN BEFORE PAYING FOR A $100 INSTALLATION FEE. There is a good chance that it will work. Midco is charging people installation fees for a tech to simply walk in, and plug the device in again. Thats it. I did the installation myself in 5 seconds and they still tried charging me. They waived the fee thankfully, but many people get tricked by this I imagine. Midco only has to do an actual installation ONE TIME at a location. The rest they do remotely.
Friendly service. Counter and area around it wiped down between customers. Gloved and masked representatives.
Services Beyond excellent internet is super good one thing I would like to see it that they drop all the news channels fox or CNN never tell the news all of this is politics was set up a private fee for CNN and fox
Since day one of getting Midco, I have had problems with it. The internet goes through weeks of in and out service on my phone, so I basically cant do anything without using data, and maybe a day or two consecutively with it actually working the way it should. Two people live in my household and even home alone using one device, it can be laggy and terrible still. Im very unhappy with their internet quality, and its about time Ive changed to a different provider. Maybe its just the area where I live that it doesnt work well but regardless, I am paying for high speed internet quality and I am not receiving it.
My internet was almost none existent on election night. I called for help, and the customer service operator was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. He had a very tired, why am I doing this, sort of tone. He would cut me off when I tried to explain things, and he even had the audacity to mumble thats what I just said when I got done talking. He told me in order to get an accurate reading of the speeds youre receiving, you must do a speed test from a wired device. I said, I understand how that works and how the most accurate reading would come from a wired device. However, getting a reading of 6mbps instead of the 80mbps we are supposed to get, isnt a result of testing it from a wireless device. I could understand a 10-20mbps difference, but not 74mbps. And now that the call is done, and everything, appears to be normal, my speeds tanked again and the internet is hardly working. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING. Midco, after being a 2yr customer, I can say that I am very disappointed in your services.
Paying Too Much Money For Just Local Cable. $102.00 For Just Internet And Local Channels. Waste Of My Money.
They were very kind and wanting to help, but the owners that I rent from told me I cant have Midco because they dont like them. So I had no choice but to go somewhere else. To me that was discrimination. I dont believe that anyone has the right to tell someone who they can have as their Internet provider.
Midco is highly priced, and not very friendly to its customers. I have moved recently and the internet is so slow, and inconsistent. I have only recieved 1 statement since April, which included an installation fee of 50 because I moved....would think they would be free since I had to wait a week for them to come, and I kept loyal. I have been in my new place since April, as I pay my bill online, I would like to see some sort of statement, especially now, since they went up in price AGAIN! I havent seen a paper or a statement nor am I able to bring up the a statement on their site. Just poor quality all around. Do not recommend.
Poor service I don’t like it it’s not worth getting this company look somewhere else I think there related to 702 communications lmaol lol
Midco was nice and courteous. We no longer use them but they are a good company
Great prices on internet 👍
Pretty good company
I tried to upgrade and add cable to my service but no one answered the phone and no one responded to chat. Guess Ill go elsewhere....
You cant speak to anyone knowledgeable on the phone. Just a bunch of young kids reading from scripts. Takes at least 48 hours to get someone out to try and fix your broken internet. Doesnt work well when you are working from home. Internet is dropping multiple times a day, and equipment is malfunctioning.
Service is amazing. Best in town.Edit: Service is still amazing. The customer service at this branch was not. I had an issue that went unresolved and this is understandable. It happens; however, I was told I would get a call back updating the status of my issue on 2 separate occasions and I never got a call back with no apparent sense of urgency from the service representative.
Needed a reboot all went perfectly
Took a while to get it right but its so much better then cable one
We got to the shop exactly at closing and they would not serve us even though we could see them right there and it would take 30 seconds for them to help us. Nwhat I call customer service.
I have had Midco for years. I have been pleased for the most part, except their modems at times can be a little temperamental. You have to reset them at least every three weeks. Other than that I have been pleased
Better than Cable One by a long shot. Nice employees yet still a overpriced cable provider.
A Necessary Evil nothing much more to say about it. Least the employees were nice
I had the other cable company before one of your representatives came to my door to talk about changing services, promising lower rates that started going up after a year.I had a reasonable bundle service at first. The price kept going up over the years and I had to opt out and receive only internet services which is expensive for me.The cable your company laid in my yard isnt completely buried and I have informed Midco of this many times over the years. Also, you might want to install a box outside your entryway so your customers can drop payments off when youre closed. I use to slide my statement and check in an envelope under the door and that worked a few times. You can see there is something on the floor inside the door. But I guess your employee(s) did not want to bend over to pick up what was on the floor.I have brought payments into the store and didnt have time to wait so I would leave it with an employee and they said they would take care of it. I got charged late fees because they said they didnt receive it.You have cameras in the store but I guess youd rather get the late fee and pretend it wasnt paid.People shouldnt have to wait 30 minutes standing in line to pay their bill. And to top it off, you just raised the price for internet on me again which is the only service I have with you. I will be canceling services soon. You only get one ☆star from me and I feel thats too much. Sorry, you fail!!Ha! Im editing this now because as soon as I submitted this you responded immediately without reading
Good
So I’ve had midco since I moved into my apartment and it is the worst service I have ever had from any company. I’ve tried setting up automatic payments several times and it says successful but every month I get a bill for $150+ saying I’ve been late on payments. I’ve contacted midco before about it but they do nothing and won’t refund me. Midco is trash
Excellent customer service. However, theyre losing their competitive edge each time they hike up their price menu.
Your average interent company. Have been going with them for quite a few years now. Simple and easy!
The customer service rep was polite, kno
We recently switched our internet services to Midco. The difference is amazing! The technician who came to our home was very polite and made sure he didn’t track mud all over our sidewalks and house which was greatly appreciated. The crew that came to bury the lines also did a great job and the work was completed quickly.Hopefully their cable services and quality are just as good, we are going to try them out since the internet is so much better than what we had and it seems like their staff is pretty professional.
No one would respond to questions or answer phone.
I did not appreciate my bill going up an additional $12 a month because my current internet package was discontinued. And with barely any notice other that a two sentences on the previous months email that I didnt even see until after the fact. Midco use to offer a lot of value for customers in any price bracket, sadly, no longer the case.
I love Midco! Wish incould take them with me as I move to NE. Customer service is awesome in person or over the phone. I LOVE that they still have actual stores tonget help when needed.
Gotta have internet this place was friendly and fast.
Great staff- start to finish
Convenient location with knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Fast friendly service had to exchange hardware no hassle at all
Needed new boxes...in & out ! Thanks
Couldnt even get my Internet hooked up. I set up an appointment. Waited for the day for the guy to come install service. Before he starts, he asks me if I rent or own. I say rent. Oh I cant do this unless I get permission from the owner. Now I have to get ahold of my landlord, who doesnt live here, somehow get him to sign it and THEN set up another appointment. All you need is to have me sign a waver saying I take full responsibility. Havent got service yet and Im already pissed off.
Friendly customer service
The rep inside helped us very efficiently and was very kind.
Wow. I moved here from Colorado and Illinois before that, and the service provided here at Midco is unreal! The office is very nice inside, the woman who helped me was fantastic, but most of all, I love their internet and cable! No hidden fees or data caps, along with reliable service.
Definitely one of the best ISPs in town. Best prices and most reliable internet.
My bf Just recently as of last week Friday, got the internet service from Midco. And not too impressed by it. When your on Wi-Fi, the speed is not as fast,at least not as fast as what our old internet provider was. Only reason why we left the other one cause DSL kept shutting off every now and again. Id rather have that over the slow speeds we are experiencing now. Old companys internet was able to reach our garage from the third floor, unit on the west side garages on the east, this One doesnt not even a little bit. Sales rep said that the $39.95 special will cover our two phones and a tv plus more without any troubles. And shouldve guessed it was a sales pitch.
Im honestly so fed up with Midcontinent. They offer a service that is seriously out of whack. Gigabit internet should come with more than 20 meg upload. Yes, cable one sucked, but now that Midcontinent has firmly established their footing they are not trying anymore.
Disappointed. For almost a year I had techs out at my home because of failures with the home security. The first was cameras live feed was failing, second their waterproof electronic door lock malfunctioned after a hard rain than total system disconnects while we were in Florida. While their customer service was very apologetic and worked to fix the problem my home was left open to possible intrusion. Every technician said it was because of their equipment and wifi dropping due to other interference. Infact they helped my pick a modem/router from Amazon to replace theirs. I believe I was the first in the area that was allowed to break contract due so many problems.
The employees are always helpful when I want to make changes to my service. The table for kids to color at is a particularly nice feature as well.
Sketchy billing system, was charged twice and luckily my bank caught it.
Coat way too much and customer Service was poor. The retention agent basically called me a liar. Is there a score less than one. If so they would deserve that score.
Midco is great. They provide a stable internet connection and no data caps. Cant ask for much more in an ISP.
Good Company for us...Excellent online service (wifi).
Garbage company. We dont get the speeds we were promised and our wifi goes down for a few days at a time. Take your money elsewhere
Edit: My initial experience was less than pleasant, to say the least. However... on Saturday the 2nd (the day after I was supposed to have had service set up), I received a call out of the blue from a technician who was going to be stopping by to get the install taken care of. A little communication on that point would have been nice (I had been about 10 minutes from heading out the door to run errands), but I wasnt going to complain since they were coming to get it taken care of. The tech, John (I think his name was), was friendly and got everything taken care of quickly. The next surprise was the phone call I received later that day from the social media team, wanting to touch base with me regarding my initial review. At this point... Im definitely satisfied with Midco. The start was bumpy, but things were taken care of quickly. Thanks! So far, I dont even have service through midco. And at this point, I may not end up the service through midco. initially, I tried setting up service online. Went through, filled everything out, selected a date and time. Everything seemed fine. A day or two later, I get a phone call from midco. Turns out that apparently, someone had used my phone number to set up service in the exact same unit that I was moving into and apparently had defaulted and not paid the bill. Unfortunately, I had been living in Arizona for two and a half years at that point and was still in Arizona. In addition, the building that I was looking at moving into was it brand new building and nobody has ever lived in the unit that I was going to be moving into. The same unit they said that someone else had set up service in.So I end up having to jump through hoops to provide them with information that showed that I had been down in Arizona the entire time that service had apparently been set up. After I did that, they went ahead and set up an installation date. What I was told on the phone, when everything was being set up, was that the technician would arrive at 3 p.m.. on June 1st, when I got into town, I opened up the welcome letter for midco. Which stated that the technician would arrive between 3:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. And that the installation would take an hour in 15 minutes. That isnt what I agreed to and I had to work that evening, so having someone show up 15 minutes or so before I had to leave wasnt acceptable. When I called in and spoke with the representative, I was told that unfortunately the next day that they can get out to do the installation, to set up service for me, was Thursday. 6 days later. I had also been told by the first representative that I had spoken with, after jumping through Hoops to get them to set up service in the first place, that because of this supposed thing where someone had supposedly use my phone number to set up service, they couldnt just activate service at the location. They had to send someone out.Needless to say, Im not impressed and Im not happy. Im not even a customer yet And this experience makes me not want to be. The welcome letter they sent says, we know you have options, and were happy to have you as a customer. You dont have me as a customer yet because you havent set up internet like you said you would, and because I have options... I may just look at them.
Outstanding customer service and a great internet provider. Definitely recommend.
I enjoy services fast efficient employees will recommend to others
WiFi is horrible
Quick service, and got my internet back up and running when my cable modem died.
Best in town for cable amd broadband internet. Cable one is light years behind midco.
Modems are garbage, speeds are 10% of what you pay for. Constantly having issues from day one that they cant seem to figure out. Only advice i get is to replace modem. So they give me a garbage one as replacement and here we are. No internet in 3 days. Very disappointed.Dont waste time trying to call them, you sit on hold for 30 minutes and then the call drops. The repetitive static elevator music they play while you wait is enough to make you grab a rope and just end it.Update: speeds are still all over the graph from 300-800mbps. I will be in the middle of game and I lose connection. I know its not the pc. Ive never had issues like this from Midco until I switched to gigabit.Update 2: about 3 weeks ago I purchased my own asus router to manage the internet and wifi, and really only use the modem as a bridge to supply the connection. Since then I havent had really any issues with connectivity, only the speed bouncing around. Upon further research I found that certain hybrid modem/routers have a chip that is not good at all. Just so happens every high speed modem Ive gotten from Midco falls under that list.Tl;dr: I give them two stars because it really is on them for supplying very bad modems and no consistency when it comes to speeds. Buy your own router, its not worth the hassle because customer service is impossible to reach and chances are thats where your problem lies.
Im not a midco customer but I like it at my work place.it is supper strong and fast...probably Ill soon switch to it in my home.
Worst cable company Ive used yetHorrible Wi-Fi that never works, always down and Ive even upgraded twice b.c thats what they recommend for only running 2 phones n 2 t.vs... I pay almost $200 a month for a headache. So not worth the stress.
Excellent service and price
I am a customer service person, I feel it is most important for every business so this is why I am writing this... I talked to Molly today and was super impressed with her I am using Midco for internet and as fast as I can drop Directv I will be using them for cable as well. Thank you for having a human on the phone and not making me press 12345456 #s to get to one. I appreciate your kindness and knowledge. AND just sayn internet and cable for less than the price of DTV - Im GAME!!! THANK YOU!!
Very slow WiFi and the tv is always cutting in and out.
I am so not happy with midco right now I called in to let him know that was unable to pay on the 11th and they charge And the autopay still withdrew after I called Customer care service name is Ruth and she doesnt do a good job of doing her job. Also just we get to my new apartment doesnt make it easy on meAlso the people I came out to install the 1st time didnt do a good job of installing the equipment so I have to call midco back .This company dont give c*** about there customers. I feel that is they care about their customers they can call up me and we can talk about it. Im pretty sure I smell something on that guys breath that shouldnt be there like alcohol Pretty strong . Second guy parker did much better job i would rather have him do the job bc he know how to do it .Peace out
Friendly staff. Great prices since they are new to the area and are very fair.
I have been using midco for about 5 months and I have absolutely no complaints. I have tried many other of the providers in Fargo and have had horrible experiences. Either there were over priced, or data was a ripe off. I have unlimited data and no surprise charges. Im just relived to finally find a place that my internet doesnt cut out or stop working, so annoying. Thank you for great service midco!!
Great service, great prices, very reliable internet, friendly staff. I choose Midco over any other provider I have ever had.
Solid internet for a good price, I have had two other in town and they were overpriced and not as reliable.
Sadly had to even give a star. They never answer the phone and the internet is always either slow or down!! Worst service for our business in Fargo!
Company is slow at connecting services and there is so much miscommunication. I dont think they know what is going on within the company.
Good speed, fairly price, punctually people
Spendy but good service
I have used Midco;s for a number of years. I had their internet service in Drayton, ND until 8 years ago when I moved to Moorhead MN. Midco service was mot available in Moorhead when I moved so I suffered while using a mediocre local service. When Midco became available in Moorhead I again began using their internet service. There just is not any other internet service provider in the area that provides service that comes anywhere near the quality of Midcos service. Companies like Midco are fantastic for consumers because the high quality of their service forces competitors to raise the quality of the service they provide. If I could I would give Midco more than 5 stars for their internet service.I have also used Midcos VOIP telephone service which I felt was adequate and reliable but I didnt like paying the going rate for phone service so I now use a different companies VOIP phone service only because of the lower cost. That being their the case I can only give their phone service a 4 star rating.I am using Midcos cable TV service, I have their TIVO HD DVR in my living room and a couple of the TIVO mini units in bedrooms. I cant really say if their cable TV service is any better or worse than the other providers in the area. I dont feel that their is much, if any, in using the TIVO HD DVR over using their standard HD DVR. I did use a satellite television service for many years before switching to Midco, I feel that Midcos TV service is as good as satellite normally and much superior during summer storm and winter snow events. The problem I have is with the TIVO HD DVR, while normally performing very well the performance of the device is not consistent. Approximately once a week the unit needs to be powered down and allowed to reboot because it stops functioning properly. I have tried calling Midcos support but got at best mediocre service and ended solving problems myself. Their has never been the offer to have a service technician come to my home to analyze and/or fix any problem. so for that reason I will give their cable TV service 4 stars. In conclusion I have to say that I love my Midco, they just need to make some improvements in the equipment they provide and their customer support services. One good thing is that customer support is very rarely needed.
Always great speed and tech help if needed!!!
I been with Midco since last year september 2017 in my new House, now August 2018, internet Cable still chilling Outside above the ground, after numerous calls nothing has been done.
No company communication at all nobody knows what is going on talk 6 differnt ppl and none of witch gave me the same answer
It’s alright internet is kinda laggy. But works for most part I guess. Friendly staff.
The programing is ok but you keep on looking the signal and have to reset your box
Internet service is great.
Every time I call, I wait for 20-40 mins! Horrible.. no one has time for that! Also, they never answer even if youre on hold for that long and its close to closing. Such a waste of time!
Cable packages should include more channels
Very fast and kind service!
The best Internet provider I ever had.
Prices are too high. Thats why I first dropped cable, then Internet.
Hosetly, the guy working was kind of rude and not at all helpful.
Absolutely terrible - no 24 hour support or even basic phone tree. Cancelling ASAP.
Worst cable company in the FM Area, and thats saying a lot because CableOne is an embarrassment.
To much junkie progrming.
Best internet provider in town
