My MacBook Pro has been constantly crashing and restarting and its battery capacity was significantly reduced. So, I took it to Geek Squad to have some diagnostics run and to hopefully have the battery replaced with my parents protection plan. They didnt have the battery that I needed, so I was told to order it off of Amazon on my own and bring it to them. Meanwhile, they kept the computer for two days to run their diagnostics. I came back with the battery and they said it would take another day to replace the battery and run additional diagnostics. I came back the next day, and absolutely NOTHING was done on my computer. They claimed that they didnt have the tools to replace the battery or do anything. They just handed me the computer with no additional explanation as to what was wrong with it and told me to take it to Apple instead. It wasnt easy being without my computer as a full-time student, and the fact that the staff was confused with what was even going on during the 3 times that I came in was even more frustrating. It was like theyd never seen a MacBook Pro before. Also, good luck trying to get ahold of them by phone. This place doesnt take calls anymore for whatever reason.
Id like to give a higher score, but a 1 star was also possible. Heres why.Good luck if you try to call the Baileys store on the phone--numerous tries over the past 5 or 6 months to no answer. Why is that?Then 2 weeks ago, I needed a replacement power cord--waited 10 days, delivery was 5 days overdue, & after talking w/6 people (no exaggeration) via the 800 #, I gave up, drove in and waited until they found a used cord--better than nothing!If this is the level of service I can expect under the warranty & expensive Geek Squad renewal rates, Ill pass.I hope the college student next to me in line got his missing computer back -- hed been waiting for it to be repaired (also under warranty) for almost 4 weeks! They couldnt find it--amazing!Geek Squad has some good staff, Im sure, but theyve gotten too big, too corporate & their customer service has tanked on too many customers-- thats a shame.Not renewing.
This was a complicated sale. I had some requirements that arent normally issues, but the salesman took the time, changed the order for me, got it right, and was courteous and patient throughout. I had found the same product elsewhere for slightly less, and they matched the price, just as they said they would. I got the Geek Squad protection plan, which they said would cover this purchase and even other purchases made elsewhere--and they did. I was amazed and grateful, and Im using my old laptop that they fixed for me! I recommend Best Buy without reservation.
This was the worst experience Ive had. I came to exchange my phone because it was broken. I have the best buy warranty. They wouldnt help me because I didnt have an appointment. There was no one there. They could of helped me. Repeat they were not helping anyone.
I dropped off my RX100 camera in July and they disabled the tracking number for it AND took down their e-mail since then on the site so a few weeks later I had to call to figure out what was going on. The representative said that whoever took care of my order shipped my camera to a computer repair place that was in a completely different state from the camera repair place and that theyd get it sorted out. Ive called again since then and after getting put on hold for half an hour they said the company will call when theyre done with my camera. It is October now and I just called again today and was put on hold for 15 minutes only to forward me to the automated message asking me to rank how my experience was when no one even answered my call. The people running this are clearly disorganized, I would go to a different Geek Squad.

Geek Squad is a bunch of people that have basic skills and no people skills. the warrenty Best Buy sells is worthless on most things since the Geek Squad can not tell if something is broken. i had a bad Bluray player and they wanted to send it off to get fixed. this is a piece of equipment that should be replaced on the spot not sent off. what a worthless group
Geek Squad repaired my computer after it had been hacked and spent all the time I needed to answer my questions and concerns. I highly recommend them.
