The cleanest gym I ever been in

Good gym, great staff & members in Fall River..

I went to the gym here with my black card while I was visiting my grandma in the area. All the staff members were helpful and friendly! One staff member was even nice enough to wipe down a foam piece used for back squats when he saw I was going to be using the smith machine. The equipment is spaced out well and there is a nice variety of machines to use to focus on certain muscle groups. Plus, I saw classes going on for those who need some help with planning workouts.Side note: I made an effort to go to this gym in particular because of its place in history: my mom told me how she used to go “mill shopping” here when stores opened up after the mills became less and less used. I think the design of the building is an enticement to go inside in itself!

The tanning beds there seriously need their lights changed. I hadnt been in the Sun at all yet and I went in the beds for full-time I figured I would jump out when I started to feel like it was too much but after it was over I literally had no color if it was a decent bad if I spent the whole time in there like I did I would have been burnt. I tried to go to the other one in Fall River in all their beds are busted only have stand-ups I dont know why Im paying for a black card when their services that come with it suck

Always friendly!!! I have noticed them cleaning more to not just wiping down the machines but really cleaning each one. Thank you for that.

Love planet fitness

Up to date equipment. Lots of space. Most hygienic of all the Planet Fitness franchisee I have visited. Lysol spray and wipes available. Locker room has mostly half size lockers available. Friendly staff. A few idiot weight slammers but not as bad as other places. Limited hours.

Judgment-free zone! Its true! Everybody...staff and members alike...just do their thing. The new Fall River location (in the old Bennys store spot) is HUGE ... State of the art equipment as far as the eyes can see. Immaculate, inviting and inspiring...the only gym youd ever need! Be sure to check out the hydro-massage!This gyms a keeper! 😊

Only thing i dont like about this gym is no fans. Wearing the mask while on the cardio machines is brutal.

Overall the place is well maintained and the staff are approachable and helpful. My one big complaint which I’ve had since the place opened is that the exterior of the building is not maintained. There are tons of cobwebs in the windows and in the entrance area. Trash is scattered throughout the unkept landscaping and parking lot. It’s a sad first impression. The landlord needs to be pressed by all of the businesses in this mill to do his/her due diligence in keeping the place presentable.

The staff is super inattentive.

I have had nothing but good experiences at the Fall River gym. The gym is kept clean, the staff is always friendly and make you feel welcome when I come in. The poeple I have met at the gym are easy to talk to and I think its a reflection of the overall attitude which is very easy going. I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Went for the first time today. The environment was very spacious, inviting and the machine selection is amazing. All are easy to use and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my time and am happy to be a member of this PF!

Always clean and plenty of fresh air been going here for 9 years now,No complaints at all.

There are 3 or 4 planet fitness find near me that I go to depending on where the day brings me. The Fall River location is one of the bigger gyms with a layout that flows well. Its always clean and its probably the least crowded of all of the ones Ive been to. The only negative thing I can say is the ab/stretching section has gotten smaller. I used to like the large open area to do mat exercises, but now it seems cramped.

Its never packed, the machines are always clean and the vibe there is so equal amoung everyone who comes. No one judges anyone and you always leave there feeling good about yourself.

I feel so comfortable here than any other gym in the past. I dont feel judged at all.

Changing my review because they have a new staff member thats very rude and disrespectful to the clients of color. I have experienced it first hand. She allowed someone who card didnt work to come in anyway nor did he have money to pay for his drink and she gave it to him for free. I didnt even get to workout she harassed and bothered me until I left and called the manager on me for nothing. I left and havent been back since. I now go to the one in Somerset and I love it. Its bigger, quieter, and the staff is great. That was just my experience though.

I love this gym but so miss group classes like zumba!

Nice clean place, some members do not wipe down equipment when finished and text in between sets to tie up the equipment.. I think the employees are afraid to say something to them. I recently brought it to the attention to employees, also to new members and there comment was that I was rude. Who was being rude not wiping down there equipment when finished?

Planet Fitness is a great place to exercise and lose weight. There are many machines to choose from. The people working there are great and try to help you if you have a problem.

Worked here for 3 years. Each year we had a new manager. Favoritism runs rampant in this particular ownership group( manager girlfriend was his trainer and now is one of the district trainer 6-8 months on the job). Don’t expect raises, I worked with a guy who didn’t receive a raise in almost 3 years. They will much rather fire you then actually pay you it’s cheaper for the company. If your a new trainer this place is great for you to learn a lot quick. You learn group fitness, as well as time management and deal with a wide array of injuries and folks! You make no money off the FREE classes NO incentives. You get paid a PATHETIC hourly wage in comparison to other trainers in any area. They put pressure on trainers to meet an unrealistic standard for “numbers” or people per class with ZERO INCENTIVE. Managers cheat and sign up people for designs they didn’t sign up for so it falls on you to explain why 100 people signed up for a design or class but 10 showed without throwing your boss under the buss . Staff also is changed frequently due to mass firing for any little reason guised under the “at will.” state law, so it’s difficult to constantly retrain new staff on how to properly pitch classes and designs (directly impacts your numbers and classes) machines are constantly down and take weeks to fix, directly affecting classes. They have only 1 guy to fix 15 clubs worth of equipment. also it’s isnt required you have a certificate to be a trainer. (Nice) the place is clean and it’s cheap. Most people are friendly depending which one you go too. If your a trainer go somewhere else! Your time will be wasted! You won’t grow and your skills will diminish. Hope this helps!!

The place is great!!!! No lunks the staff is very friendly they all seem to get along great! Which definitely carries over onto the members! Plenty of equipment and they are super affordable!!! Only negative thing I could say about it is that I wouldnt bring anything of value there especially after whats happened recently with theft but I have confidence the management and owner will see to fixing this so it isnt an issue any long er. More specifically I would like to speak on the trainer Kasey! He is great! so knowledgeable in his craft! The other week I seen him working with a disabled woman and she seemed so happy and enthused by his energy and that he took the time to talk with her and make her feel more than welcome! He is constantly walking around talking to other members and just making it just a great atmosphere to be there! Im not a member there but I came as a guest and even a few of my buddies say that they really like Kasey! And how down to earth he is and how helpful and non judgmental he is and understanding of every ones differences and starting fitness point! I recommend anyone to take his classes! And sign up!

I am a guy and i like planet fitness.I have nothing to prove to anyone.Place is cleN and have plenty of machines.

Place is clean and simple the staff could care less about there jub though. I go at 3am i. the morning to another plus is that its always empty lol

The place itself is alright but Ive been there for a bit over two months and they charged me the annual fee for my first month there and at first I didnt say anything but my second month they charged me another 37 plus the 20 Im SUPPOSED to pay a month so I thought that would be the annual fee. So thats $94 for two months, but I check my bank account and on February 1st I get charged ANOTHER $37 and the next day $39. Theyre practically stealing money from my bank account and Im planning on leaving very very soon because this is just ridiculous.

This location is always clean and the machines are kept in working order. The employees are friendly and always willing to help you with anything.

Serviceable, good hours, clean facility.Most of the staff dont care.No music, so bring your headphones.Theres usually a jock-club present.

Great gym, and nice staff.not sure why members are judging the staff and how they look or what they wear.. Jill Stone (sarah) .. it sounds like you belong somewhere other than the judgement free zone. the fall river location is clean ... just need hydro beds and stand up beds!!

I love planet fitness they have so many machines making it easy to use one and not having to wait for one, I love the atmosphere and how cheap it is! I paid 10 dollars a month for a year and I get tanning massage chairs and unlimited use of the gym at any location nation wide !

Place is exactly as advertised. Its affordable, clean, and beginner friendly. Allot of the girls are hot which is great for motivation. There has been a bathroom issue recently which really sucks but its supposably being addressed. -JC

I would like it better if it has classes

I was charged 140$ for one month membership yearly fee and cancellation... Trying to straiten it out was impossible I called every day and every day the manager was unavailable and had no voicemail and never once called me back, I wrote a bad review on their Facebook page and they responded asking me to email and they would help, I emailed and they told me that they looked into it and there is no issue.... Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a gym, they also have no parking, are in the hood unlike wow, and barely have machines I cant imagine how that place must look at busy times

4stars for closing early on fridays while it says open 24 hrs monday to friday . Every friday i go there after work at 10:30 the doors are locked

Ive really enjoyed going to Planet Fitness.. And the one in Somerset is even better.

This place is very clean good people I love

It is a family gym. Its not for your average bodybuilder. It more of a fitness place, if that makes sense. The weights are minimum 75lb. Dumbells thaats all they go up to.... and the staff is cool but they get on you about making noise, WE ARE ATTTT A GYM... HELLLO. NOISE IS WHAT U EXSPECT.

I have been at Planet Fitness for 9 months. Staff is friendly and it is cleaner than most but not recently. on Friday 6/5/15 I saw 2 used q-tips on the chair in a dressing room and powder all over the floor in another one. It is now Monday 6/8/15 and its still like that, so nothing was cleaned since friday,gross and unsanitary!!!! Half the people dont wipe the machines after use either and staff says nothing. Most of the time I have to scan my own card cause they cant be bothered to do it. Also I guess the lunk alarm is for show because this girl does all the machines backwards and staff says nothing to her!!

Been here quite some month, all i can say is all the STAFF are awesome, they do there job on cleaning, greeting you when you enter and when leaving, will stay here for some years.

I do love my gym but am only giving 3 stars due to the decline in quality. They took out the scale which makes it harder track my progress, they moved the circuit training and now people just use it for machines and its always full! The tanning beds are gross, dirty and poorly maintained! The quality in staff has declined!! There is one short thin girl with dark hair who is wonderful but the rest are a joke. Like the girl who likes to work out half naked or the thick girl with the nasty attitude or today on Sunday they are so lazy that they cant even be bothered to scan my card, they are sitting at a table chatting with the scanner facing out and we all just scan it ourselves! Horrible customer service, gross and not maintained! Very sad to see my gym go downhill like a Fall River statistic!

What can I say, its planet fitness lol. Definitely not a buffed meathead gym but its clean and although I am not a member, my sister can bring a friend with her membership unlike general fitness. Awesome!! Tannin beds are good, we clean well and when I cant go to general bc they close so dam early i go here. Nice staff too

Hi, i was on WOW for almost 2 years and never like it, joined this one about 2 months ago and been loving it, clean, less ghetto environment, so overall i am doing much better works out :-)

I was a member and when my contract ended I thought I had to renew my membership but, THEY did it without my permission. I had a stroke and I had not been there for some months me thinking they canceled.

This is a great clean gym. The staff is friendly and other gym goers cooperative keeping things clean.

No motivation here, great equipment but, unable to push the max. Staff wont allow heavy training, breathing.

Place is a joke, just another money hungry establishment that could careless as long as they get their money. basically fu pay me attitude.

Best time at night

While the facilities here are decent, I have a major issue with this location (not sure if it applies to other PF locations or not). There have been multiple instances of theft from the locker rooms, including thieves actually cutting the padlocks off of lockers in order to break into them. One such instance happened this past Sunday, and several members (including myself) had their wallets, keys, and other items stolen. One members car was stolen from the parking lot after the thieves got his keys from his locker. Now, I understand that this sort of criminal behavior is outside of the control of the gym, however they have policies in place (and a lack of security) that do nothing to deter this sort of thing from occurring. Any non-member can come in and have free-reign of the gym for a day by paying a small fee and signing a form, WITHOUT having to show a photo ID. Furthermore, in spite of the multiple instances of this sort of theft at this location, the clubs management cant be bothered to make even the smallest steps toward increasing security, such as putting up a few cameras to record who goes in and out of the gym and locker rooms (I understand that putting up cameras IN the lockers rooms is problematic, but there should be no issue with having some outside the entrances pointed at the doors).I understand that the club is not responsible for theft taking place on the premises, but their apparent lack of interest in even trying to HELP look out for the security of their members and their belongings simply shows a lack of caring on their part. Personally I would rather not support a club that doesnt care about its members safety.
