The kayak trip was amazing! Our guide Noel was amazing, the whole crew was very informative. The trip out wasnt too bad, just be aware its dark, but thats what you want! Just pay attention. Also, your dealing with nature, so dont be mad at the guides if it doesnt glow so bright. Some days are better then others and its just how it is. I would absolutely recommend this group over the others, and will certainly use them again for another trip.

This is a beautiful beach! Most of the water is pretty shallow and clear. The rental of the kayak itself was super easy and we were in the water in just a few quick minutes. They accepted my debit card as payment which made it super convenient and they speak fluent English and Spanish. Overall, easy, cheap and fun!

Great experience through and through! Miguel was a great tour leader, and we had a great time kayaking through the mangrove forest into the lagoon. We did see some bio-illumination once it got dark, it was less than expected but still cool. Appreciated the tour proactively providing a 15% refund due to low glow, very thoughtful!

𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐨Our group of two adults and two high schoolers participated in both the Bioluminescent Kayak tour in Fajardo and a Snorkeling Excursion in Culebra. Both experiences were amazing! The Biolumenescent guides spent a good amount of time preparing us ahead of time with safety guidelines and tips for a good experience. Our Snorkeling Excursion included Ferry transfers from Fajardo to Culebra, transportation from the pier to our meeting point, transfer to the coast, snorkeling, snacks, photos and transfer to Flamenco Beach for an afternoon of relaxation. While the area is beautiful and exactly what we expected to enjoy-the guides truly made our experience memorable. They were warm, humorous and willing to answer our numerous questions about the area. As both a private traveler and a Travel Agent, I highly recommend Kayaking Puerto Rico for any of your group needs!

Kayaking Puerto Rico is an amazing company - each employee is extremely kind and very professional. My family of four, including two teenagers, went on a kayak and snorkel tour on Culebra Island. The guides were extremely caring, friendly and very knowledgeable. They kept the safety of everyone on the tour and the health of the reef in mind the entire time we were swimming. We saw fish, a stingray and beautiful coral. Then we were taken by bus to Flamenco Beach which was one of the most stunning beaches we have ever seen. We had a delicious lunch and got to play in the warm water. I recommend making time to head to the far end of the beach to check out the abandoned tank. My family, and especially my kids, always talk about the tour we went on with Kayaking Puerto Rico and say that, without question, it was our favorite activity we were fortunate enough to experience during our vacation to Puerto Rico. Dont hesitate in booking a tour with Kayaking Puerto Rico, it will be an experience you wont forget!

Our snorkeling guides were welcoming, funny, and very professional. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow for beginners. They were also very accommodating to my mother who cannot swim, and assisted her in the water so she could still snorkel. The ocean life in the coral reefs was an incredible sight to see. Being able to drive the boat yourself is also a very exciting part of the tour that other places might not offer. I highly recommend the snorkeling tours!!!

Been to Puerto Rico twice now in the past few years & both times, I HAD TO hit Kayaking Puerto Rico. Several locals told me about them. Was not disappointed at all. Their guides are knowledgeable, helpful & beyond friendly. They make you feel comfortable, regardless if its your 1st time or a seasoned kayak-er. Prior to vacationing in PR, we did quite a bit of research and booked two tours with Kayaking Puerto Rico: Aquafari Culebra and Miniboat Excursion. We did the miniboat tour first, and man it was a blast. Nothing like piloting your own (fairly powerful) little zodiac around off the coast! We felt very safe and well instructed the entire time. Amazing stop at a little Caye for some snorkeling, some exploration and snack. The guides were super professional and funny and really made the already good tour great. Buy the picture package. So nice to look back on the great memories. Two days later we did the Aquafari Culebra tour. Super super awesome. One word of warning: although the ferry is pretty darn nice, the trip from Fajardo to Culebra can be rough. If you dont have experience on the sea I highly recommend taking some Dramamine or equivalent. Getting seasick before you arrive on island sucks. That being said, it is soooo worth it. What a pristine island. We are experienced kayakers but the guides are top notch and even the people in the group who had never kayaked before felt comfortable and kept up. I had never snorkeled with sea turtles before and it was a real highlight of our entire trip. Again, I highly recommend spending the extra few dollars for the photos, even if you have a GoPro.Really two perfect tours and the next time I think wed have a hard time choosing whether to repeat these or try the Bio Bay or others.Cant recommend Kayaking Puerto Rico enough!

We originally scheduled the 8:30 tour but moved to 6:15 because of the island wide curfew. When it was lifted, I called to switch back and the girl told me that we should stay with this time because it’s better. LIES. Don’t do earlier. Not to mention this problem:First off, the guides and kayaks were late because of traffic so we they were super rushed because they needed to get back for the 8:30 tour to start on time. We literally got to spend like 5 minutes exploring in the actual bio bay. It also wasn’t completely dark yet- close enough to kind of see them but definitely not worth the $260 we spent on this. They had a tarp for us to get underneath to make it brighter but it was still just on the verge of being really cool. We could see it but I know it would’ve been better a little later.I would consider it a huge fail if my kids weren’t there and saw the magic. They didn’t know how gypped we were on time and the experience because the guides were late. They also said they were going to take pictures, so we didn’t take any, but that didn’t happen. The extremely overcrowded entrance and exit of bio bay is nuts. I wish tours wouldn’t take 35 people at a time. Guides were very nice and friendly though!

Overall, the tour guides were good explaining everything and helpful. But IF you get motion sickness make sure you take meds or avoid the mini boat excursion. Also, make sure you take all of your belongings and don’t leave anything on the boat because there is no lost and found. I left my speaker on the boat and one of the guides who emptied out the trash bags decided to keep my speaker. Luckily, I was reimbursed. But not a good look when employees are taking home property that is not theirs.Lastly, we arrived at 12:15 for a 1pm-5pm trip and did not get started until close to 2pm. We were so excited to do this and bought 8 tickets ! The crew was nice but they were in a rush. We were the last group to go out after some delay so everyone seemed to be in a rush. They gave us about 5 minutes to see the bioluminescent area and we saw nothing ! As you can imagine we paid a lot of $ to just go kayaking in the dark. We were really disappointed to go so far to see nothing. I’m not sure If all tour guides are like that but this one was in a rush.

Went on the bioluminescence tour at 8:30 pm. It was dark and sometimes hard to kayak (we are beginners). The guides were helpful if you had any problems and they take pictures at different spots and send it to you for free. However it was a different experience and they pointed out the stars to us.

My trip with Kayaking Puerto Rico is a story that I continue to tell to this day. In fact, even though its been a few years since our trip, I was just talking about it a few days ago! Kayaking through the bio bay was not only a memorable experience for what it was, but the guides were absolutely amazing. I was a single as I was traveling with a couple, and I was lucky enough to be paired with a guide on the kayak. DETAILED REVIEW - American, Experienced KayakerWe did the Bio Bay Kayak Tour (at night, bioluminescence) for a group of 5.I was the solo Kayaker bc of the odd number, no probs at all. The instructions were clear, the team was good, the experience was a let down.If this isnt your first time kayaking or have kids, Id choose another group activity their website provides. The bioluminescence are just bacteria that when you put movement in the water it twinkles due to defense mechanism. Just twinkles.Of course they advise to not take anything you dont want to get wet (because youre running into each other on the kayak tour & strong chance to flip over which my friends did lol) so our biggest worry was photos. The photos they took were one in the beginning of the tour next to the sign on land (2009 quality) and the other ONE photo was of you in the pitch black when you started the tour (blurry, camera has wet drops on it, horrible image).Im sure the other tours they have are good, which is why the rating is so high. But this was a disappointment and totally not worth $50. $30 is more reasonable, they sent the photos via email the next day so we couldnt even see the quality or go back to get our own phones.

Save your time & money and just go to El Yunque on your own terms. We booked this trip 5 months in advance for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. The morning of the tour, we were packed, ready, and waiting for the van when we get a call saying the trip was cancelled because the driver was unavailable - and no other drivers were available on the island either. We couldnt believe it. The real kicker - the tour was still taking place for those who had rented a car and could drive themselves to El Yunque. The transportation for this trip was included so we never booked a rental car and they were all gone at this point - so we were basically SOL because none of the drivers felt like showing up to work that day. What a waste of our time. We made the best of it and found better things to do in Old San Juan. Again, save your time & money and just create your own adventure.

So I took the rainforest and Bioluminescent bay kayaking.First thing to note was covid checks, we were told to provide a CDC card proof of vaccination or a negative test 72 hours before. On the tour we learned one individual had not taken the vaccine (by choice) and had only taken a test days before travelling to Puerto Rico, so it had been over a week since she had a test, a few of us on the your are not happy about this because its ultimately putting us at risk without even knowing until we found it out talking to the lady. The tour itself was really well organised and the guides were great every step of the way through the rainforest and everyone seemed to have an absolute blast, they were really supportive to those that were nervous although the pace of some people was incredibly slow, this isnt the guides fault though. The water pool unfortunately gets really busy, this is unavoidable as lots of tours end up here but we went past it at the start and came back to it when it was quieter later, a great adaption! The restaurant used probably needs to be switched out, seems like its a bit lackluster with service, including upsetting some of our group as they had complained about hair in the food and being overcharged and the waitress insulted them in Spanish to a colleague, unfortunately for the waitress some of that group spoke Spanish so argued. The service from the restaurant is a bit poor, pretty sure they could of upsold a lot more if they visited tables and asked how meals were etc, it was like they were doing us a favour for letting us eat there... Felt weird. The kayaking layer on, so it was well organised but oh my god I am amazed theyre able to take people with no experience, pair them up, give them a 2 minute briefing and then set them off on open top kayaks in what can only be explained as sea kayaking on a very rough bay. Im amazed we didnt have anyone capsize. The trip into the bay was treacherous, lots of groups setting off from various different companies at roughly the same time, chaotic to say the least, luckily I was in a solo kayak so avoided most of the carnage. The trip was great otherwise, though being hot boxed in a minibus with an unvaccinated individual isnt ideal, I think the company need to be more direct and unwilling to allow people like that without proper vaccination or test credentials. Im now not looking forward to my tests when I get home.

DO NOT schedule if you weigh over 250 lbs. We thought it would be a matter of conditioning and health. They DO NOT distinguish between muscle or fat. My husband is 270 lbs, but squats 450 lbs bench presses 380 lbs and deadlifts 450 lbs.Their highly sophisticated approach is to tie a light on the back of the kayak and if it dips under the water, you are out. Old ladies, people who have never worked out a day in their lives, little kids were fine however.I will say, their website had a clear warning, which we assumed was for health reasons. The fact that my husband chose to ignore it was our bad, it was still no excuse for how smug and condescending they handled the situation.Oh yeah they apparently also think its funny when somebody asks for cracker repellent instead of mosquito repellent.

We had an absolutely amazing day!!! we did the mini boat snorkeling tour. you get to drive your own boat to a couple locations to snorkel, one off the coast of Palomino Island where youre able to go ashore and explore. BE WARNED, those boats can move and youre on the open ocean so it gets very choppy. we hit a couple waves hard and got pretty banged up so again, not a tour where you get to cruise about and relax. there was plenty of parking at the marina, they do have small dry bags to keep your car keys, camera/cell in on the boat but the storage space on board is limited and anything not in the bag will get soaked. they also give you the option to leave stuff in their office. i brought my backpack with towels and sunscreen and a sweatshirt on the boat; it just took up space. the staff was excellent and price was super reasonable, theres no other tour like this in PR.

My wife and I did the bioluminescent bay tour. The tour guides were very friendly and organized. However, we felt the advertised pictures and tour description were very misleading. The tour consisted of 30 people and roughly 15+ Kayaks. We were told to form a linear line all the way to the bay which was a little frustrating as there are people with no kayaking experience. Once you get to the bay you are told to stick your hand in the water and shake it. The shaking motion will activate a light luminescent glow but nothing like the pictures. In addition there is light pollution from the city so the bay is not very dark. The total experience is about 5 minutes and the glow is very little. Overall, not worth the cost nor travel.

We forgot the mosquito repellant & theres a lot of kayak traffic with folks of varying degrees of experience (including none!) which makes navigating interesting. Also booking via Expedia (I think it was), I had a vague address which was fairly inaccurate, resulting in a scavenger hunt of sorts just to locate the correct company. I also failed to notice the important notice to confirm our reservations 24 hrs prior & they were fantastic about allowing us to confirm same day anyway as well as double check regarding visibility & allowing an opportunity to cancel if we wanted to. Theres a stench in the bay which hopefully isnt there year round, but its really only bad in spots. These guides have the patience of Job & should be tipped accordingly! Even if you choose to go on the night of the full moon (my adult kids wanted to!), & go to the trouble of tarping several kayaks to increase visibility, its cool to see the bioluminescence in person. Created some of the best memories of this trip. Ill definitely consider going again, especially if we can time a trip over the new moon next time!

Normally this is a group tour, but its slow season so my friends and I were the only group on the tour, and it was awesome. The weather was great, driving the boat was a different and fun experience, and the water and aquatic life we saw were beautiful. I am definitely recommending Kayaking Puerto Rico to everyone that travels here.

Do not bring any stuff. All stuff wet and too darkness when you Kayaking. Unfortunately we couldn’t see Bioluminescence. A little bit. It’s not for Rookie if you do Kayak first time. Route was too tough. Do it If you have free time but I’m not recommend you this if you have plan for see this and come to Puerto rico. Nothing special.

Was a very fun trip. The night we went there wasn’t enough bioluminescence, only very little. It’s understandable that that’s not in their control, but I feel like we didn’t got the full experience. However they were nice enough to call us back after the trip and they decided to refund everyone 15% of the price. The workers where also very nice and patients. I would totally recommend it 😇

I went on a snorkeling excursion with this company. Not only was it well worth the money in terms of the kayaking, but being able to snorkel with sea turtles on the marine reserve was an incredible opportunity. We were given plenty of time to spend in the water, and I even had a sea turtle surface not more than ten feet away from me. I had a waterproof camera and the guides asked any of us with one if they could take it to the bottom and take photos. They took beautiful shots of the sea turtles up close which I wouldnt have been able to do with my lung capacity. This group did an amazing job with the tour and I would highly recommend.

We had a great time aboard the Innovation! Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we got some great photos of our adventure. The boat was full of people, but not overly crowded. We had ample time to snorkel and they instructed us on how to use the gear. Lunch was on the boat after, an assortment of cold cuts, bread and some salads. Simple but refreshing. Also, they provided pina colada mix and punch and a big bottle of rum to add as you wished. On this trip, the boat went to Cayo Icacos. At the cay, there were a lot of other boats, all playing loud music. Lots of people having fun, sort of a party atmosphere. Not secluded, private or peaceful during this trip, in case thats what youre hoping for. But everyone was very friendly and there were a wide range of people, including families with young children. We were excited to take advantage of our guide Christians offer to lead us on a hike into the island if we wanted to go. He gave us some naturalist and historic info and we got to see the ruins of a few buildings. The view from the ruined church was incredible, and Christian was thoughtful enough to bring us some cold drinks to enjoy there. This particular boat tour was the only one we saw that mentioned the option to take a guided hike into the island, and I am SO glad we opted for it. If you want to go on the hike, make sure youre wearing better shoes than just flip flops. Maybe sturdy water shoes or hiking-style sandals like Keens or Chacos. When we got back from the hike, we had some time to enjoy the lively beach area before hopping back on the boat to depart (and the pleasant surprise of fresh fruit and some cookies). They played nice music on the boat each way. We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend it!

We had such an amazing time as a family! We took our 7 and 9 year olds out on the bioluminescent kayaking tour and made the best memories EVER! We still talk about this trip years later. The tour has you kayaking through a beautiful path of overhanging trees and theres just so much to see and enjoy! Sticking our hands into the lit up ocean was rad! Im really not that strong or fit and I managed to tow my 7 year along for the entire trip, easy! The staff were so friendly and professional, lots of good energy! There are some really nice restaurants next to the dock as well so you can make an entire afternoon/evening out of the trip. Worth the drive, worth the money and most definitely worth the time!

Our group of 7 did the Snorkeling & Beach excursion off Icacos. Our guides were Kristian and John with captain Danty. It was awesome! We had a lot of food, fruits & drinks. At first a few of us weren’t too sure about going snorkeling (we aren’t great swimmers) but our guides made us feel so comfortable and safe we did it and it was amazing! Will definitely do this excursion again when in Puerto Rico!

My friend Ali & I absolutely loved the aquafari tour with Rafi, Joe and Jomby! They were all so kind and helpful. We werent entirely sure what to expect and we were definitely blown away with how amazing and beautiful the excursion was. It was the highlight of our trip! The biobay tour guides were awesome as well! Nico & his crew were so funny & friendly, and we really appreciated the staff being honest about how low the bioluminescence was that weekend. Wish we couldve seen something brighter, but still had an awesome time with the amazing staff! (Even Nani who helped us over the phone & made everything super easy!) Id recommend these guys over any other co. just because of the awesome people. Id even recommend the aquafari to weaker swimmers who are nervous (like I was) - you wear flippers & a life vest the entire time which makes it 100x easier.

Me and 3 of my friends did the bioluminescent bay tour and had an amazing time! The kayaks were in great shape, the guides were informative, and the bioluminescence was SO bright and pretty! We got to see it many times on our tour and it was incredible. Two of my friends did not do very well kayaking on their own, and the guides helped them and towed them throughout the trip so they could still participate. I would recommend this tour to anyone! Ask for Francisco, Noel, and Misael! They are the most amazing guides you could ask for.

My Mother and I did the kayak excursion to Bio Bay in 2016 and had an amazing experience. The Kayaking Puerto Rico crew were wonderful. They were very helpful to the inexperienced kayakers, and all around great guides. It was clear that they cared not only about sharing the beauty of the bay with visitors but also about preserving it. We saw several large iguana in the mangrove trees as we paddled right beneath them and bio bay was incredible. Although some time has past since we went, we still talk about this experience all the time. We loved visiting Puerto Rico and this excursion was definitely a highlight of our trip.

This was one of the greatest experiences of my life!My mother and I booked the trip to bio-luminescent bay through Kayaking Puerto Rico. We have never gone kayaking before however with the help of the tour guides we picked it up very quickly. We kayaked during the evening and it was so much fun. It was safe and I felt comfortable because we were in a group with lots of guides. When the trees opened up to the bay it was breathtaking. The most beautiful part was when our paddles touched the water, IT GLISTENED AND SPARKLED! I was worried the algae wouldnt be too bright because that evening they said the algae was at 70% fluorescence but it was incredible and easy to see. I travel often and this is by far one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life. If its not on your bucket list, it should be!

Great attitude and services. All the tour guides are professional and instrumental. We booked two activities with them, and both went great! The Snorkeling tour guide took us to the deep of the reserve. I get the chance to see sea turtle well! I

This is the second time I book the mini boats tour. I have done the aquafari culebra tour which I highly recommend. The mini boats was a lot of fun. We were 4 couples and each one had their own boat. We enjoyed the ride back and forth the most. On the way back it was raining and the ride felt like a movie. Our safety was a top priority and our Guides Jamal and Jose were very professional and explained everything with great detail.

My friends and I did a Bio Bay Kayak Tour one night as part of my 30th birthday trip. IT WAS AMAZING! Kayaking through the mangrove at night was so exciting. The guide would shine a flashlight to say watch out for that tree branch. At one point, he pointed out a branch with an iguana sleeping on it. We kayaked right under it! Kayaking around the bay itself was incredible. The sky was filled with stars. Though the bioluminescence wasnt as bright as it can be, it was still amazing to see. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ADVENTURE!

My husband and I took the mini boat tour on our first day in Puerto Rico. We had the best time! It was the highlight of our trip! It was one of the experiences that we had that made us fall in love with the beautiful island. The guides were so professional and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a unique way to see some of Puerto Rico’s most beautiful treasures. We can’t wait to come back with our kids so we can all have some fun together! Thank you!!

The Bio Bay tour was so fun and unique, my partner and I loved being able to kayak at night to see these bioluminescent critters. We had a full moon which was a little bright to see the glowing organisms but the tour guides had a massive tarp we could huddle under and play around in the water and it was so magical and cool! Were from MN so weve kayaked lakes and rivers before so the kayaking part was easy for us. It was clear there were a lot of first timers in the group which made for really fun people watching. The tour guides were very impressive they definitely had a no-person-left-behind mentality and even had rope to tow people in their kayaks if they were really struggling. On the way back down the channel we hung at the back of the group and chatted with one of the lady guides, I wish I remembered her name but she was so nice and answered all of our questions. We had a great time, definitely check them out when you can get to Puerto Rico again, it was truly a highlight of our trip!

We did two tours with Kayaking Puerto Rico, one on Culebra (Snorkeling, Kayaking, Beach) and the Bio Bay Tour. Both were fantastic. Our guides were always in a good mood and made sure everyone was doing good with their gear and had a great time. They also took care of the environment, keeping distance to the turtles and making everyone aware of the great nature we got to see on both tours. Especially Bio Bay is a once in a lifetime experience. They also took great photos we got sent after the trip. We would go with them again anytime.

We have done snorkeling before, but in combination with the mini boat - it was so cool! You actually drive your boat, you are the captain! But don’t worry, you are instructed and guided through the whole trip. My wife and I had so much fun! What have really surprised us in a nice way that the guides recorded some video clips and took pictures of us that we could download at no charge! We really appreciated that since most tourist activities we ever participated, everyone wanted to make extra money for pictures, and the charge is usually is very high. So thank you guys for providing such a great experience and great feelings about Puerto Rico!!!It was in 2016. Was not able to select earlier date on trip advisor

These guys were amazing!! I did the bioluminescent bay tour and I’ve only ever kayaked a couple of times. I was traveling solo so was partnered with a lady I didn’t know and we both had a blast! The guides were so positive helpful and knowledgeable - I never felt like I couldn’t keep up with the group. And the scenery was gorgeous. Highly recommend booking an adventure with these guys!!
