When I purchased my 1980 International Scout last summer, I needed to find a reliable and trustworthy shop that would do a good job helping me maintain this classic. Ace Automotive came highly recommended in owner forums. They performed an initial inspection and oil change, and took care of issues the previous owner had disclosed. More recently, they replaced the clutch with an upgraded model. I have been super happy with the quality of their work. Ed runs a very professional shop, and he and his wife Donna go above and beyond to ensure great customer service. A day or two after each visit, I always receive a text to check that everything is as it should be. I recommend them highly!

Donna and Ed are of the utmost mechanical family Iv ever come across! I love how everything is done as teamwork and professional. I felt welcomed and at home the minute I walked into their building!! I’d stepped in once for an estimation on both our cars (not yet getting service done). Several months later walked in again and she remembered who I was! I was impressed with their customer service and then once we got our car back I was doubly impressed with their honesty and their work done to our car. Finding a good shop can be challenging. The three qualities you really want to find are 1. Knowledge 2. Communication and 3. Attention to detail. The entire team at Ace defines these qualities and instill a lot of trust in their clients. The shop epitomizes what is great about the American family business and I am really happy I chose this team. The quality of repair or restoration is better than you will get anywhere else, the hourly charges are reasonable, and the team is fantastic.

Got my Jeep worked on while I was away on vacation. They worked well and I did have a check engine light on still after all the repairs but with a quick email the staff was extremely nice and helpful reminding me that a loose gas cap can cause the issue which I had changed out after finding it did not fit. Overall very good experience and customer care.

So i was referred by a friend to have them diagnose my duramax when I went to pick my truck up I was never told exactly what was wrong just that need a lift pump so asked to add a few things I wanted doneTwo weeks past I went by the shop to see if they ever got a estimate done NOPE here I am a month later and still never heard a peep GUESS MY MONEY ISNT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEMAll they had to do is say we domt want to do the job or we cant do it but to never even call me is bad business 👎Sad because all I see is 5 stars which makes me really believe my money isnt good enough there oh wellFast Eddies Diesel in Dixon is a better place for my teuck anyway

I took my truck to Ace Auto to diagnose an EGR code. They had my truck for an hour and correctly diagnosed the issue. They even checked my brakes, the airbag light and abs light. Im very impressed with their professional service and highly recommend them to anyone with auto repair needs.

So I took my 2001 Volkswagen Jetta for inspection through Ace and it came back with a lot of codes and repairs, Donna explained everything to me and was extremely understanding about my situation(the repairs costed $1800) and she even tried to find cheaper parts for me too. I didnt end up getting any of the repairs but they were so understanding and helpful I just had to write a review praising them. I will definitely be back when I get a new car for repairs and use their services!

The most honest repair shop. I visited three different places for the same issue. I was gravely misquoted for the first two. Ace narrowed the problem down to one part and had it all fixed in an hour.
