Horrible front staff. The only saving grace is the manager. The front desk attendant argued and tried to tell me to keep waiting for my package to be delivered (even though our mailman has been to the house twice). The tracking information clearly said it was being held at this USPS office and she tried to tell me it wasn’t there. She called the manager, he showed up and looked for the package and found it within a minute. No idea why the package was diverted to USPS rather than home delivery since I ordered item on Amazon.I get anxious whenever I am anticipating a package that has to go thru this location because sometimes they just randomly decide not to deliver to the house. It takes me about 45 minutes round trip to get here from my house.

The Passport clerk was the rudest and the most condescending lady Ive delt with. From the start, she had an attitude.I was there on Jun 16, 2021 for a passport application for my daughter who is 16. In the travel.state.gov website, it didnt require a birth certificate in addition to a passport. It was either one. The lady clerk was about 5 minutes late from her precious lunch to our appointment. As soon as she found out we didnt bring the birth certificate, she was so adamant about having one. So, I asked her for the instructions in the website. And she responded, I dont have to provide you anything. You need your birth certificate, period. So proceeded to show her my evidence (travel.state.gov website) that the birth certificate was not required, but she kept interrupting me telling me to listen to the other clerk. So I asked her to be quiet and try to look at my evidence. She did not like that. So she threatened me to call the post master to kick me out of the post office. So I left without applying the passport for my daughter. The worst experience with anyone in my life. They are there to serve the people. But she was there on a power trip to jerk customer around.

The staff here have made a huge difference for my small training business during the pandemic. Because my courses have moved online, I have to ship textbooks to my participants, which means each book has to be processed individually to qualify for media rate. It can take 20 to 30 minutes in total. The staff always work quickly and patiently with me. Meanwhile, I hear a rude customer yell at and mock them every single time I am there. I don’t know how they have the patience and fortitude for this job.

Agent was rude, we paid for to receive passport for 2-4 weeks, but almost 8 weeks didn’t receive. I understood can something went wrong, when we went to this office to get some information, she was rudely, not polite, she didn’t give us any information. My advice before going to this office for apply passport, things twice…

This is the worst post office I have ever used. I mailed a package, through certified mail, from this post office back in September 2020, and the package ended up at the Southern MD distribution center. The mailing address was in Fairfax! How did it end up in MD? Ive gone through several months (close to a year) of trying to get my package recovered, submitting multiple claims, a missing mail search request, and Ive even gone as far as contacting the USPS Office of Inspector General (OIG), and yet, nothing has come of it. No ones to blame for losing my mail, and it seems theres no one in the USPS that can help me or other people that experience this on a daily basis. USPS is trash and so are the people they have working at this location that arent competent enough to deliver mail to an address thats right down the street from them.

Horrible, horrible service. I called them before my passport renewal appt and the operator was barely intelligible, and when I got there to ask a question, the window worker was extremely rude and kept cutting me off. The lady in charge of my passport said she needed my birth certificate for proof of parental relationship, but as a 16 yr old, the state department exempts me. We tried explaining, but the lady’s attitude was unacceptable and she was adamant about the bc. We went back later with proof that she was misinformed, but her attitude was the same and she asked us to leave and threatened to get the post master. I would leave negative stars if possible. We tried calling them twice again but they did not pick up even once.There are so many other reviews about poor customer service and rude employees, which should tell you everything you need to know about this location.

Literally every time I come here I wonder why we haven’t replaced the USPS with Amazon. It’s so slow and it honestly feels like no one cares. And why would they? It’s government funded so they get paid with or without great service. Lost your mail? Oh well. Too much work to help you? Not my problem. Mail person didn’t deliver something? Yeah she’s union so we can’t ask her to do her job.This morning I just came to get stamps, in the middle of December, and the one guy working here is too busy rearranging the card display to help the 15+ people in line.

This place is a disaster. I’ve asked to have had my mail held three different times and they have not once managed to figure it out. The staff is very rude. I can’t tell if they collectively hate their own lives or the customers. They act very annoyed with every transaction. Sad little place.

Horrible attitudes. I had them hold my mail for a month and they have completely lost all of it. Rude staff unwilling to help or work. This branch needs to be closed.Also, made an appointment for passport application. Arrived early and they refused to see me until after my appointment time. They do not care about customers. Anything I can do to avoid using USPS I will. There are too many other services out there to be treated like this especially when they charge outrageous prices for everything

My paycheck was delivered to someone else and I have never been able to find it. Now someone knows where I work and know my salary information. My husbands medication was delivered to a Fairfax Station address and he has never found out where it was delivered to. This place deserves a ZERO rating.

Great USPS with great customer service. It is clean and well organized.I wanted to give a big shout out to Xuan and Fernando. They are two of the best people at this location, they treat you with patience, care and friendliness. One customer was being a complete Dbag to them and they were still super patient and kept their cool while the customer was trying to yell and make a scene out of something that was HIS fault.Xuan is so sweet, everyone should treat her well! Fernando is great!

There is no response from management here about ongoing issues with delivery to our business. Deliveries go to the wrong address, theyre marked delivered when theyre not and the carrier refuses to pick up scheduled mail.

I see why people left so many 1 star reviews. I went there because USPS tracking says Available for pick up. The lady didnt even ask for the tracking number and said give me your phone. Of course, she told me the carriers deliver 300~600 parcels a day and I better go and wait??? She was looking at USPS tracking history and saying this is just what Amazon says??? Lol. So IGNORANT. If you just want to hang out and kill time with them, I cant keep you from coming by and leaving with bitterness.

This location has a kiosk so you can complete your own transaction with the priority mail, plenty of boxes and other materials. Has an assortment of other packaging you could purchase. Small bubble or soft packages, etc. Has passport services and PO Boxs as well.The service in my opinion has always been great at this location. The persons working the counter are knowledgeable and quick enough. I brought multiple boxes not taped shut and they offered to tape it up for me. They have a manager of some sort come out when the line gets long and asks if anyone has items to drop off or pick up. This something they dont have to do, but its good customer service.People complain a lot about the postal workers not bending over backward for them, just because it is a public government based service doesnt mean they do not work hard or try their best. Great location. Come prepared like an adult if you want a speedy and trouble free visit.

Worst!!! The most terrible place, nobody picks up the phone. And nobody knows anything. The supervisor is super rude and doesn’t even apologize for the mistake made by Usps. Really surprised by all the negative reviews hear about this Post Office. I had one of the most pleasant post office experiences that I’ve ever had here.Everyone was super friendly and the line moved very quickly. That, combined with them getting my package to its location, is all I can ask for at the post office!

Staff seems friendly. Ran into problem with lady in charge of handling passport applications (Xuan). Provided my citizenship certificate, but didnt have license. Brought ssn, college degrees with student ids, credit cards, and everything that I could to prove identity. Despite this, she refused to accept the application for a new passport.

I love this USPS office thanks to the wonderful service I consistently received from Fernando. He is very professional and courteous with customers. He pays great attention to detail and is very thorough in his work. Fernando went above and beyond to help me retrieve a package that would have been lost or returned to sender otherwise and I’m very grateful for his extra efforts and high-quality work.

Just happened to be in the area from Arlington stopped in this post office to drop of a return small box with the same bag wrapping and zip opening enough to get the box out. I showed the postal lady the return label...she said you can do it yourself and buy the tape. I returned the same type of item at my post office in Arlington and they taped and put the label on. And the postal lady at the counter in Arlington was surprised by the customer before me with a box of chocolate for great service. So I wasted time going to the Page Avenue Post office in Fairfax.

I moved to a new residence and my mail is now being handled by this USPS location. Its been well over a month and I have yet to consistently receive mail. The staff and management here is completely useless. Theyve tried to send me to the Chantilly location numerous times to correct the issue, but Chantilly keeps sending me right back to this location. I have never in my life had to wait over 30 days to receive mail at a new address. How long does it take to have your mail forwarded to a new address? 10, 14, 15, 20 business days? Ive heard all of these answers. I wish they would just come clean and tell me they goofed and have no idea where my mail is....that would at least be the truth. If I could give this location a negative rating I would.

The office claimed to have delivered my package but I was not able to find it. I called the office to complain and a lady picked up the phone, heard my complaint and she said she will call back. I called the next day and I was told in anger that the office will call back after investigating the issue. I was calling after three days and no one was picking the phone. Today, a gentleman picked the phone and told me that the sender of the item, in my a case a book store, need to file a complaint. I have waited for the whole week to be told this info. The guys was nice to explain but all in all the service at the place is not great. I hope someone looks to this office and make a change.

We have the worst mail delivery in my 30+ years on living in this part of Fairfax Station. We went on line to hold our mail and it continued to be delivered for days. Im only writing a review, because I dont think theyre perfect, but 1.8 stars? I totally understand with a bad experience and it happens to me too. I think overall though, they are not too bad and certain employees have really gone above and beyond to assist me at times. Getting my three young ones passports back to back to back. Putting a package in my garage out of the rain.

Why arent people showing more love at this post office?Only time I go to this location is to send packages or to buy stamps but rarely do I have to wait longer than 10 minutes to get everything done and head out. Staff is friendly and willing to help. For me, you can always run into some issues in life but as long as they are willing to help with good attitude, Im more than willing to work with you :)

Probably the worst USPS office youll ever find. I was instructed by the USPS national support center to call this office first thing in the morning regarding a package that was mistakenly returned, never arriving to my address on time, and was on-hold for more than 10 minutes. Once the supervisor picked up, he immediately dismissed my issue. He told me to call back an hour or so later because he had another important situation and when I pressed him to handle my issue, he said hed simply pass the problem over to the carrier and hung up. I had to go there myself on my time to get the package because I knew with a certainty that they wouldnt fix the issue themselves. Horrible customer service.

Very convenient location without the traffic hassle of of Merrifield. They can be busy at times, so you need to be aware of the time of day you go. I find the service to be very good, with the proper respect you will receive respect. Kudos to the workers, if I worked at the main mailing facility for prominently lawyers, Id be a bit fussy too. No offense to lawyers, but you can be demanding. The self help services work very well too, if you dont like dealing with people. I would give them 5 stars, but they need a larger facility for the amount of traffic they receive. People - really - black guy??? Cant you come up with a better description for a Official Postal Employee/Human Being then that? I have to say it again - with the proper respect you will receive respect.

Mostly fine until recently. Their new employee is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Even in an empty store. The loud, incessant singing would be tolerable despite the bad voice if she conducted herself normally and professionally. There were two customers in the store, both of us writing addresses on our packages. We were finished and waiting, both employees were looking at their computers. We obviously assumed they were waiting for us so we walked towards them and thats when the new one went from singing loudly to complaining that we didnt wait despite her not noticing we were ready and thinking she was waiting for us.

Terrible. I had an appt for renewal of my passport and new passports for my children. The agent reviewed all our documents before submitting and we paid an expedite fee. My childrens’ passports came and mine was apparently missing a social security number. Due to the agent missing this (since his job was reviewing all applications for completion) my passport has been totally delayed and my trip will likely be cancelled. Do not trust their passport appointments. Review ever bit of info on your own before having them review!!!

Absolute TRASH - Delivery drivers are too lazy to get off their butts walk 200 feet to knock on a door at the appt, no they just claim there is no secure drop location. Really...huh amazing how we have a huge mail room with lock boxes bug enough for big packages....bull excuses, bad attitude, lazy workers. This is why I use UPS and FedEx, USPS is a joke and massive risk to deal with no thank you.

The mail man does not deliver your packages 50% of the time, he just leaves a note in your door that the package is at the post office, does not even knock, Ive heard his instrument beeping today again, thought its for the neighbors next door, no one knocked on my door, checked 5 mins later, and see a note in my door. Last time he left a package on the first floor near the entrance door of our apartment complex, he was too lazy to bring it up 3 flights of stairs to our apartment, the package could have easily been lost.

Post Offices arent usually known for their efficiency, but this one makes even other post offices look bad. Spending 15 minutes in line even though there were only 3 people in front of me and two people working. One of the workers looked like he was in training, but it seemed the manager didnt really care about training him since he looked bored and kept walking off. Really depressing place, and I avoid going there now.

I originally called to renew my passport and the clerk said I didnt need to set up an appointment to have my photo taken all I needed was to come in during business hours so I came in during my lunch break and the clerk was not there OK I was disappointed . So the next week I called the post office / passport office, and I asked the lady on the phone when the clerk would be in to take photos and she kept telling me I didnt need to set up an appointment and that I could get the photo taken anywhere. This was my closest location and all I needed was information for when the clerk would be in so I would not waste another lunch break. Her only response was I dont need an appointment and that I could go anywhere, while my point was that I just wanted to make sure that the photo person would be there when I came in . Over all the clerk was very rude and when I asked to speak to her manager she said she was the manager and the she hung up on me when I tried to further explain that I just needed to know when the photo clerk was in. She was refusing to understand what I was saying, rude, and dismisive and should not be in customer service or a manager if thats the case. I will gladly be spending my $25 somewhere else for my passport photo. Worst passport clerk ever.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would do it. Our business office has this post office and they are THE WORST. Ive started keeping track of the number of times the postal carrier doesnt even bother to come to our suite - I guess because we are at the end of the hall. 5 times, at least, since May 19, 2017 until TODAY July 7, 2017. Ive called and complained to Paul and to Joseph. Today, Ive called 5 times - and they wont even pick up the phone. They dont even know the words customer service because it doesnt exist to them. Despicable! Update - after the 15th call, someone finally answered. According to this person - USPS policy states the postal carrier doesnt have to come to your address if they dont have any mail to deliver! And that has been the policy for years. Funny - no one else ever took the time to tell me that when Ive called to complain. There are 8-10 offices here in 1 building, I guess its too much trouble to take those extra 40 steps every day... and isnt it funny that when he does come by he has a WHOLE STACK of mail that just happened to come on the same date. WHATEVER!

I never had any complaints about them until the postal worker excessively pepper sprayed my dog yesterday.The mailman dropped off mail, so my dog was looking around to see what the noise was. Then, there was some random guy walking around the cul-de-sac... I open the door to get the mail, my dog wasnt too near me, but then he BOLTS out. Barking at this guy, defensive stance, hackles up. But not lunging, not jumping, hes a neutral distance away. Every time I try to reach for my sof, he jump out of my reach to keep barking. Then the mailman close by, instead of giving me space to get my dog, and sprays my dog with with pepper spray. So my dog starts barking at him. Mailman keeps spraying him after he stops barking, and then chases him back with pepper spray. I cant get my dog at all now because hes running away and I dont want to get hit with spray. My dog is covered. My dog ran back into our yard, I pick him up and put him in the backyard... mailman has already scurried off. I washed him twice and then had to take him to the vet. $150.00. I went to the Post Office today and spoke to the supervisor, and he told me that it is not on the postal worker at all, because the dog was off leash, and I needed to get control of my dog. I told him I totally understood, and agreed. But I was right there trying to get my dog, but I couldnt because the postal worker wouldnt stop spraying him if I jumped in and tried to get my dog he would have sprayed me too! I did not feel satisfied with the way this was handled.

My package was returned to me undelivered after they picked it up from my home. Reason: No postage. Postage was clearly on the package, next to the note that said No Postage. Attempted to have it picked up again, now its tracking as Forwarded due to incorrect address. but does not tell me where they are forwarding it to. And yes, the address is correct.Update: This Post Office continues to have issues with picking up packages for reason of no postage, when the packages have postage per Click-and-Ship, after receiving assurances from the postmaster that they will conduct training to fix the problem.

Recently moved to this area. Roommate gets her mail, I dont get my mail. I heard from a friend from Arizona who got a letter returned to sender. The address was correct. I sure wish I had read these messages before discovering the abysmal state of the postal service in this area. And now, I get to go visit them in person as the phone is constantly busy.

I mainly ship with postal service over Fedex/Ups to simply support federal postal service employees, but when you see a manager yelling at you and treating you like a pos instead of helping you to get your concerns addressed, I feel like its not worth it anymore, I understand its not an easy job, but it does not mean you can yell or raise your voice over your paying customer. I spent over $7,258 on shipping services for past 2 years, pathetic customer service and very disappointed!!!!

Horrible. They move at a snails pace. I would rather have a 17 year old who hustles working there. There is an oriental guy working there that hustles and goes out of his way to help people in line that have transactions that dont involve money . The big problem is that they are totally understaffed for being the largest post office in Fairfax area. There is always a line here. It also does not help that most cutomers dont have clue what they are doing and ask 20 questions. I dont know how many times Ive gotten a tracking information that says notice left I go there and they cant find it.I would rather go to the dentist for a cleaning then come to this post office thats how bad of an experience it is coming here - seriously . If youre tracking something and it says it was delivered give yourself 2 days before you go and pick it up do not even try and pick it up the day was delivered they will not find it. This post office should be closed. Mail delivery here is a joke. Weve had numerous items go missing, delivered opened, misdelievered. When we go in to speak with a person to get it sorted out, we are treated rudely, and told that there is nothing they can do. So glad that fraud is acceptable here.

This is one of the worst experiences I have had with any company. I had originally missed a package that needed a signature, so I had rescheduled its delivery. The next day, I literally saw the USPS carrier drive right by my house. By 4:30 pm and After waiting HOURS on the phone to get ahold of someone, I finally drove myself to the post office. The front desk staff were nice enough, though severely understaffed. I was given the supervisors phone number to track a missing package, and she seemed at first to be extremely accommodating. She said she would find out where it was and that shed then get back to me, and she said it wouldnt be more than an hour. I never heard back from her. I went in AGAIN to the post office the next day, (as my package had yet to be redelivered still - their online delivery and redelivery system is an entirely other rant). I have been waiting in line to talk to the supervisor who is, (surprise), here, and who has still not called me back. The management and the delivery carriers seems to be the main issues here - overpromising, disorganized, and apathetic. When I finally did talk with the supervisor, she said it wasnt lost, but she couldnt find it either. Im fairly certain when something is lost, that means it cant be found. Regardless, no one should have to spend a day and a half tracking down package.

Ive had two packages that have turn up missing. One ended up in the wrong state and the other one just completely disappeared altogether

Very poor customer service! I just mailed my passport and other docs at this place. The passport clerk, an Asian lady, who called Xuan, has the worst attitude to customers I have ever seen in the U.S.! She is very impatient and the whole process without smile. But another African American staff (I think is a manger there) is very nice, she blamed on Xuan of her bad attitude. After that, Xuan totally changed her attitude!! I dont think I will go this place in the future.

Good luck trying to get anyone to answer the phone. Im a mailing agent and I cant even get an answer with a real 703 phone number direct to the mail entry unit.

The lady who seems to be Vietnames has a really bad manner. Never smiles to the customers and looks like we owe her plenty of $$$$. The Chinese lady is pretty nice though.

Long lines caused by slow workers that don’t really care. In fact the lady that checked me out threw my package about 4 feet into the bin with all the other packages right I front of my face.

It is impossible to get an answer on the phone to their customer service and I was unable to find my question on line either though I have found information on everything under the sun that has absolutely nothing to do with my business account question.

No tracking update for package dropped off over 24 hours ago and they dont answer their phone. Made multiple attempts to reach them by phone and it just rings and rings and then hangs up. This just after postage rates were increased significantly. VERY POOR SERVICE!

This has to be the worst post office Ive ever dealt with. This is the second time my page has been lost. Ive been trying to call. No answer. At ALL! No matter what time or day Ive called, no answer.
