Knowledgeable & Trustworthy- always good work
Let me first off start by saying I have now been coming to this shop for about 6 months. The first few times I went I had negative experiences with the owner (an oriental man named Tony) I had planned on not returning again after my last confrontation with that man. That was until I met John the manager at the shop, oh my goodness what an unbelievable switch of pace from the usual mechanic trying to sell you on everything under the sun! He explained what caused my check engine light, showed the physical part on my car in question, helped give me a few different options as far as price goes, and he even gave me a pretty decent discount. As someone who isnt quite mechanically inclined this was a very enjoyable way to get my vehicle back on the road and learn a little bit along the way. Will be making this my go to shop from here on out as long as John is running the helm. Couldnt recommend highly enough!
Wow! John and the service techs were great! I came here about a week ago just a little before 4 and was put off by the reception. The hours aren’t the same as what’s posted on google so that’s what caused the confusion but I am SO GLAD I came back and gave this place another try.I’ve never been here before. They got me in for an oil change, fixed my headlight, and the tire pressure monitoring sensor. It was about 40 minutes overall. Clear recommendations without overselling. Honest and clear cut. Kudos to these guys!Tip - call them and give them a shot. There’s no way to schedule online, on an app, or email but they’re an auto shop -excelling at what they do so even though there aren’t any tech perks to making an appointment, it was well worth it.
I had been going here for 3 years. I always went with my ex boyfriend (he was the one who told me about the place) and they never took advantage of the fact that I was a woman. I went yesterday by myself for the first time. They knew me and knew I had been a customer for a three years, yet they charged me 115 dollars just to fill up transmission fluid (not including the price for the actual fluid) and 57 dollars to replace 1 electric fuse. I told them to give me a call and tell me about the cost before they did any work, but they never called. when they were called out on it, they lied and told my dad that last time they did something for the car without charging me. If you are a woman, that place will take advantage of that. they really did lose a customer.
Friendly, prompt service. I have only used them for oil changes so far but will trust them with my other car repairs as needed.
Awesome car shop. The mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and honest when it comes to the bill and the health of your car.
Good dudes! Very knowledgeable about my old truck, and the cost of inspection goes towards the repair. Couldn’t ask for more.
*Edit* After my first review (see below) and one star rating the owner Tony reached out to me to see how he could make it right. This is something that is very rare and greatly appreciated. I did not expect such wonderful customer service.Very rude customer service when I called to find out if they worked on my vehicle. The young kid who answered the phone couldn’t understand me and found it appropriate to laugh at me over the phone. It was very rude and unprofessional.
Very fair shop. I was able to get inspection and repair that I had been putting off very quickly.
I went in for an oil change on 30% off Wednesday’s on oil changes and found out there were a few more issues with my vehicle. I was shown everything that needed to be addressed and given a quote. The staff was super friendly and most importantly Honest. I will be going here for any future oil changes and mechanical issues.
So far have used the place only for routine maintenance ... oil change, inspection, tire rotation and such. Have found them professional, courteous, honest, efficient, and reasonably priced. I might be a bit biased because they are within walking distance of my home. A big plus.
Solid place. Quick work, great service, and competitive pricing.
Very nice auto repair shop. Adrian is very welcoming. The mechanics and owner Tony are very knowledgeable and only suggest what I need. I have both my Jeep and my Highlander serviced there now.
Great service. Quick in and out. Professional. Would use again and recommend to others.
They made everything so easy!!
A bunch of thieves. My friend took his perfectly fine car for an inspection and they said he needed his front breaks done, he said he would do it himself and return. An hour after leaving the shop he noticed his breaks not working he checked and found they had cut the line. They refused to acknowledge the cut.Notice all the reviews on here are 1 star review accounts, all fake reviews.
I was here at 7:30 am this morning. Needed an oil change quickly but no dice. What auto shop doesnt open until 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday? But I gave them 4 stars as Ive had good service here before...just wanted to make a point about their weekend hours.
The owner is a professional fraudster. From the end . The good review is totally fake. Give a visit you going to eat it so bad.
Wont be back. I took a tire, with a small leak in to get fix. Tony charged $50 to install a valve stem... ok. Two weeks later, the tire still has leak. Took it back to Tony. He fixed it a 2nd time and charge me $35. What? Youre charging me again for something that wasnt fixed right the first time? Tony said I have to pay for my guys labor. I told him that if he charged me a 2nd time, I would never be back. Tony said ok. I could have bought a new tire for less than the $85 he charged me. Tonys parting comment was if you buy tire from me then repair free! Really.
Amazing!
Gave this place a try because its close to my house. They claimed that my car failed inspection and needed a new drive belt & rear brake pads. I had the work done, and its been making a strange noise. When my neighbors were also complaining about failing inspection here and needing a drive belt, I took my car to my usual place who informed me that it was highly unlikely that I actually needed a drive belt - that it would have to be shredded to fail inspection. The bigger issue is that I was charged to have my rear brake pads and rotors replaced...and my rotors were NOT replaced - I still have the original rotors on my car. I went back to speak to a manager who gave me 4 or 5 different stories before they finally refunded part of my money. Will never be coming back.
Great customer service! Convenient location! Awesome experience! Totally love them and recommend them!
Highly recommended. We took in for a break job and received more than what we expected. The Lexus dealership was about $800 more expensive than what Tony quoted us and we took it in after reading up on their reviews. They did an excellent job. Tony is very honest and he did a complete break job, oil change, and alignment for us. Also, when we heard a noise from the break about 2 weeks later, he fixed with a brand new rotor without a single charge. This is our new go to auto now.
Great location, honest, and done right the first time.
I recently had the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) warning light come on in our 2003 Honda Pilot. I took it in to the Honda dealer where I was told it was a bad sensor in the front passenger seat and was given an incredibly high estimate for repairs. When I took it in to VA Auto Service I was told that the sensor was a very expensive part and why not try finding a seat from a junkyard complete with the sensors. They did locate a seat in the same color that was actually in much better condition than my existing seat. It cost me probably a third to a half of what it would have cost me at the Honda dealer. It is now my goto place for my car.
They did a great job diagnosing and replacing a cracked oil filter housing and line that was spewing oil everywhere. Also great location close to home.
Update: December 2019Great service and work done on my car being inspected. Provided timely updates and checked areas I asked for. Excellent as always.Update: May 2019I am a loyal customer to this shop because they are flexible, helpful, and reasonably priced. I noticed a recent addition to the front office who has freed up the owner and he is great! The service here is fantastic and Ive referred multiple persons here...who have also stated they like the place. Make sure to view their website and get a coupon (they honor them unlike another place that I wont mention). Overall, a great place.November 2018,I took my 2011 HONDA CR-V to this auto shop on a Saturday morning with only a few hours notice. The owner is a fantastic businessman who genuinely cares about his customers. To wit, he noticed that my previous review of 3/5 stars was the only non-5 review he has received. It was a fair appraisal of service at that time, but things have improved. In early November 2018, my 2011 HONDA CRVs A-1 indicator light let me know that I needed a basic, routine maintenance tune-up. Although in my previous post I had mentioned not to go here for a tune-up, I decided to go in order to support a small business. The car was taken in and I decided to wait for the car. After the normal amount of time had passed he informed me that my wipers needed fixing. I was lazy that day and said that he could replace them (with the normal and completely understandable mark-up of parts). The price of the wipers wasnt outrageous ($15), but you can buy them for ~$25 at Advance Auto, which is what I usually do. It isnt that hard to replace a J-Hook wiper. Anyway, one of the wipers did not go flush against the windshield, and accordingly did not wipe the rain away. I took it in just ~30 minutes after it was installed. He immediately went inside, got a new wiper, and then installed it.On the invoice he let me know that in about 10,000 miles that I would need to replace some parts. He gave me a fair market value appraisal (I went to Burke Centre Automotive immediately thereafter and received a similar price estimate, but without the firmness of VA AUTO SERVICEs (which puts it on paper). I like the firmer estimate and the congenial attitude of the office staff (his wife is also on staff). The overall price of the service was $94 (A-1 and wipers). For the overall experience I have rated 4/5. The owner is a 6/5! He is the best owner of an establishment that I have seen since I worked at a restaurant busing tables to pay through college (2006-2008). He is meticulous in his work and if anything goes wrong he will make it right. However, the wiper blade issue was annoying and in the future Ill do it myself (should have known).I will almost certainly be returning as long as future reviews arent bad.See below for my review from a year ago:I have taken two cars here for several different issues. The first was an A/C compressor issue. The total amount was ~100-150 less than surrounding locations (and they do Saturdays). The second was an issue with alignment. Once again the cost was cheaper. However, the third time I visited, they charged me $90, yes $90 for an oil change. Insane markup there. So I saved, in the end, only a few dozen dollars. Nice staff, but Im never going there for routine maintenance. So to sum up, for major REPAIRS I think it worth it. For routine MAINTENANCE stay away.
Good prices on inspections and oil changes, and willing to help you out with any problems
Good service, honest and professional
Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about for routine maintenance, a synthetic oil change was $55 and tire rotation was $20 for me.
Over priced and tries to sell work that isn’t needed.
Fast, friendly, and fairly priced!
3 stars only based on Auto Technician
