We had such a wonderful time. I booked two sit on kayaks and 1 SUP for my son. It was easy to book. The day of, the staff were super helpful. It was in July and they recommended my son to use the SUP board without shoes - great advice for him, it gave his feet grip on the board!We wore our life jackets the whole time due to the water being super cold, but the day was fantastic. The weather was great, the water was calm. As we went down, we stopped on the side and had a drink and visited with some people from Fairbanks for a spell. We also saw a water plane take off and land and then watched a riverboat go down the water (our start time was 11 am). It was fantastic! The owner and his son are great people! This was a wonderful booking!

Great friendly staff and good gear. Everything was smooth from signing up online for a spot to check-in to transport to the launch area upriver. The float down the Chena was wonderful, relaxing, and a great experience!

Great experience kayaking with Canoe Alaska. Equipment was solid, service was prompt and drop off at the pump house was easy.

A great experience except having to lug the canoe to and from the river. Overall, we really enjoyed it besides getting soaked from the rain…lol. Took a long time to get a taxi…thankful the drinks were plentiful at the Pump House.

First time on a SUP and I didnt fall in! Thank you Canoe Alaska for having a fun rental packages at reasonable prices. The bike and paddle package was just perfect and included helmets and bike lock to keep things safe. Highly recommend!

I rented a bike and rode allover Fairbanks - the guys here are great, the price was perfect, and biking all day was fun!

My husband and I loved the experience. The only thing that we did not care for was that when we checked in it was just a young boy that handed us our canoe, oars, and life vest and sent us on our way. We had never been in a canoe before and told him that but there were no instructions or assistance with anything. We were just left to our own devices…

Nicest people. Even though their policy states no refunds, I was able to reschedule. I woke up sick the day of my trip, and they rescheduled me minutes before we were due to leave, no problem at all, for two days later. Got there on the rescheduled date, and the owner knew exactly who we were and what we had booked. They personally shuttle you to the location you set off at, if you book a 5hr float trip. We had the best time. When we got back, we turned in life jackets and some of the employees went and got the kayak. We had to worry about nothing at all. Packed snacks and drinks and just had a great day on the river! Will definitely go again, and we are planning a work outing for a large group!

We rented bikes and kayaks. Both experiences were excellent. Staff is friendly, helpful and went beyond my expectation by bringing my forgotten hat to our hotel. The float on the Chena River was tranquil; we saw lots of river fowl. Highly recommend this.

Very helpful and kind staff!! We used bikes, canoes, and stand up paddle boards; all of which were in great condition! We had a blast!

Very pleasant paddle and float down the Chena to the Pump House restaurant. Paddling is required but not continuously. Be aware you have to carry your canoe to the river, down a hill, and get it back out and carry it up a hill to the retrieval van. No transportation back to put-in point due to Covid. if you need this it must be requested in advance and is provided by a private party.

I’ve rented from here several times, very easy to rent and the route from Pioneer Park to the Pumphouse is easy to navigate, very scenic and has plenty of places to stop and float along or get a drink if you want to. Always a nice time, highly recommend.

I did the 4 hour canoe rental for two. Reasonable prices, polite staff, and the trip was beautiful. Will definitely come back!

Great service, the canoe was clean and in good repair, the floatation devices they provided were fully adjustable, and everyone was cheerful and polite. I would definitely do this again!

Service was prompt and friendly. We completed a bike and kayak rental and loved it. My three year old and my 12 year old both thought this was fun. It was a beautiful trip with great views of the city from the street and the water. Definitely want to make the trip again.

Had such a lovely time floating! My husband and I boated to The Pump House on the fourth with Canoe Alaska and had a life changing experience. The customer service was excellent and quick. Would highly recommend for an easy afternoon program.

Awesome rentals and tours

Great service! Despite the river being too high/dangerous to kayak, they let us take a double kayak down to Tanana Lake for a few hours and stored our rocket box while we did so! The kayak was nice and came with two PFDs and paddles.

Such a fun experience! I loved every bit of the bike and kayak ride. It was a very relaxing time that was perfect after a quick work trip to Fairbanks. I would go again in a heart beat next time Im in Fairbanks. The customer service was also wonderful! Thanks for the good time Canoe Alaska!

I enjoyed the kayaking. But I really wasnt happy with the service. You can carry the kayak yourself, its easy. Ill help if you want vs assuming that they should help (so much for wanting a tip)They told us there were pickups at 330 430 and 530. We waited from 4pm until 538pm with nobody showing up. We had to call to get a ride. No discounts, refund, apologies or explanations offered.Fun...but they need some competition or better management.

Waited for over an hour to get picked up at the pump house. was told shuttles run every 30 minutes. at this rate thier should o . een 3 and counting. i would not do this again didnt bring wallet so couldnt even get anything at the pump house. very unprofessional
