They did do a really good fade and beard trim. Service took a while despite having a reservation, but they didnt ignore me and apologized several times...I personally dont mind a wait at places if they acknowledge it and try to make it up. Plus they played a movie with volume up so at least theres entertainment!

Always guaranteed a fantastic cut. Im sure all the other barbers have talent, but my GO TO is Juan. He wont fail you and will ensure you walk out the shop feeling and looking new!

Juan is such an amazing barber, it is really hard to find great quality haircuts in Fairbanks area. Although price is 35$+ I truly believe its worth for the service that you get. He really takes the time to make sure you get a perfect cut. Family and military friendly. Would definitely keep using this barber shop while Im here. Una is amazing we have always brought the kids to her and she is great all my boys love their cuts she lines them up and they love it. It’s hard to find someone who has patience for young kids but not Una she has never accidentally messed up because they move and she was able to do my 4 year old just fine. All the barbers at the shop are great, the environment is friendly and clean.

The haircut that I get is a simple fade, I usually get my haircut elsewhere. Today I decided to try another barber, my simple fade that usually takes about 15 minutes took a little bit longer, but the barbers attention to detail was awesomeunlike the other barbers that Ive been to. I think that from now on Ill be giving this business my money.

Juan is a 10/10 he is an outstanding barber who takes his time cutting your hair ensuring that you are more then satisfied with his work, you could tell it’s his passion being a Barber. I called JVS on a hope and prayer that I could get in today even though they were already closed. Terrance, which I hope I spelt right, answered and had me come in even though he was about to leave for the day. I came in and he was super cool and did my hair right away. I showed him a photo of something similar to what I wanted and he was able to understand what about the photo I didnt like and wanted different. He even fixed up my eyebrows which tend to get crazy. As soon as I need another cut Im going back. I would recommend anyone who wants to go into a chill atmosphere and talk about real stuff with some interesting and easy to talk to people to go get a cut at JVS. Really great barbershop

I really like this barbershop. I have the same barber everytime, he knows how I like my haircut and always remembers to avoid the scar on the back of my head. Its also very helpful that they know military hair regulations since Im in the military so makes it easier to get what I need. Definitely worth my $30 every time. Recently I wanted a hairstyle change and my barber was able to help my hair transition properly to the new style. If I could give a 10 star rating I would.

When i first got to Alaska i went to 3 barbershops before i found Juan and his shop. I have not went to any other shop since i found JVS. Every other shop charges an arm and a leg for a mediocre haircut! JVS barbershop prices are great and a great haircut comes with those prices. Guaranteed once you leave the shop you will be back!
