I have used Kens fairbanks alignment a few times now. The front desk has always been kind and courteous. The mechanics have a great deal of knowledge and experience. The charges have always been fair, and upfront. I have NEVER had a bad experience. I highly recommend them as a shop to go to. Good people.
Whenever I have a (somewhat) urgent issue with my vehicle, they are always able to squeeze me in and Im back on the road two days later. They are very honest people, very knowledgeable about my vehicle, and very friendly. I cant rave enough about them, HIGHLY recommend!
I had some car issues while on vacation in Fairbanks, called a lot of garages and was in need of a thaw. 15 mins before closing these folks were able to take my vehicle in and thaw it out. From having traveled back and forth all over the west coast, also a lifelong Alaska resident. It is professionalism and people like this that set Alaska aside from the lower 48. And make it a beautiful place to live, with forever gratitude, thank you Kens Alignment.
Only place in town that take care of me on short notice
Super Great bunch of guys
Down to earth, friendly, honest people here. Got a thorough alignment on my lifted truck after a shop that I won’t name thoroughly fudged aligning the truck
I am totally impressed. Just got back first time dealing with these folks and I will definitely be back. They were understanding that I lived out of town, gave good advice and in general it felt like an extremely fair exchange of expertise for my $$
Very honest, great service and fair price!
The fairest shop I have ever brought my truck to and will only bring my truck to them, you get what you pay for!!!;) they are not the cheapest in town and thats for a good reason because they are probably the best in town as well;)
Great guys, Great work, always a go
Outstanding in every way. Saved my behind on an emergency repair during a road trip!!!! Thanks so much!
Took my car in for a quote. The quote was thousands of dollars cheaper than I was thinking AND it only took 2 hours to fix everything! I am super impressed!! 100% recommend!
Kens is excellent in automotive repair... because supply and demand it may take a few days to get the work done. In the end its worth it cuz there master mechanic is excellent.
These guys are the best. They dont overcharge and their repairs really seem to stay fixed, and I have not had this other thing broke right after I left right after leaving. Great customer service too.
These folk are awesome at what they do. Ive taken my truck to them when sudden issues came up. Theyre quick and friendly. I had a vacation coming up in a few days when the engine began giving out. They were able to get the truck in and fixed in time. Im very pleased with their work.Edit: 7/19Almost a year to the day from my last visit, another truck issue sprang up before a fishing trip with family. I gave them a call and they are willing to squeeze me in. Its further proof that these guys care for their customers and understand when things suddenly happen. Their staff has been supportive, informative and just great. I will continue to take my truck to them for servicing.
On a road trip of a lifetime and needed our truck and trailer tires checked. Stopped in on Monday and they were able to put us on their schedule first thing Wednesday morning. Staff were very polite, courteous and offered advise for our road trip. Thank you for your service!!
Shady bad business rip off artist extortionists. Do not bring your vehicle here. Brought in my car for a quote with nothing wrong with it to see if they were honest, got a $2000 quote for a whole new front end replacement.
What a wonderful experience! Everyone is very friendly, mechanics are extremely knowledgeable, and they are backed by NAPA. Best auto mechanics Ive found in the Fairbanks area. My Jeep and I will be back for any of my autocare needs.
Good prices, good staff and good service. I had an appointment so it went quick and smooth, even we I thought I had a problem afterwords and about to drive to Anchorage they got me in super quick and reassured me I was fine and we were:)
Kens had always been the place to go for all your repair needs, they do their best to accommodate all your needs and they do a military discount.I took my truck in for a transmission flush and filter change in July, today when I went to change my oil I noticed oil leaked on the oil and transmission pan, so I checked the transmission bolts and they were so loose I could turn them with the weight of my hand, so I called Kens and told them i was going to tighten them in order to make it to their shop and I want them properly torqued. Rather than just accept responsibility they implied that they were not loose to begin with and i voided the warranty by over tightening them and squishing the gasket. I tightened them so they werent loose they shouldnt have been over tightened how would they know they were over tightened without checking the torque. Accept responsibility and treat your customers with respect, they will appreciate your services much more.
I own a 2014 Jeep patriot, with very low miles. Last week I started to get a bunch of warning lights and my car started to drive different. I tried to figure it out by myself and I couldnt. It started to get worse, to the point where I was scared to drive my two kids with it. So I started making phone calls. I called Jeep dealership to see if they could help. They were rude and not much help at putting my mind at ease. It was going to cost $140 an hour for them to just tell me what was wrong. I asked when it could be seen. I have two little kids and this is my only car. Told me to bring it in at 9am and they might squeeze me in. They told me they could get me a shuttle. But a shuttle home doesnt help my family so I called Kens. They helped my husband when his jeep broke down. I was scared about having two broken cars at one time. They told us price could vary but should be more then $160. After a pros and cons list I decide Kens was a better choice. So we called back to see when they could get it in. They said bring it on down now and were look at it. Not even 5 minutes of being there they take my car back to look at. Not even a full hour went by and it was done. I had a sensor come loose. They fixed it, and drove it enough to make sure it wasnt coming back on. I paid nothing but the shop fee. They were nice and friendly, they cared enough about my problem specifically. If I ever need work done on a car, Im going to Kens. They took care of my as a customer and treated me like a person, not like a paycheck and a number.Thank you Kens
It’s rare to find an Auto Repair shop that consistently provides fast and fair service. The employees are hardworking and honest and are willing to give any advice that’ll help their customers. Definitely recommend.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Fair prices. Quick service.
What a great team! Dropped my car off at 9am, they shuttled me back to work, and fixed my Malibu right up. The price was fair and service was outstanding.
They have been quick, and have done a good job every time I have been there. Very easy to work with and they usually set me up an appointment for the next morning after I call them. Prices have been competitive with other places in town, but still much quicker.
Hard times when something breaks and your car is on the side of the road. Who to trust, where to go, how much is this going to cost. My transfer case went out and car was dead in the water. Got it towed to Kens Friday evening they had the parts ordered and my car out of the shop by lunch time Tuesday. They have a small shop so I’m impressed by the fast turnaround there. They saved me roughly $600 over going to Seekins. They got my business.
Great shop went above and beyond to make sure the alignment was perfect and not just close enough
Honestly these guys are great! Super nice all the time. They tell me what really needs fixed and what will need fixed soon. They wont pull one over on ya.
They fixed my head light that within driving down the street it went right out again that was a $200charge and my car was broken into on their lot and the back seat was ripped out and stuffed back in. They did not tell us that it had happened until we noticed some thing was wrong and questioned them only then did they inform us that multiple cars had been broken into on there lot the night before.
I have been a customer of Ken’s since 1998, they have been the only garage I have used here in Fairbanks. My last visit was for a power steering pump replacement. Ken’s has always gave me great service and my vehicle has only had to stay overnight one time. The estimates have been dead on except once where the serpentine belt had to be replaced in addition to the power steering pump. I trust these guys and do recommend to my friends who always thank me for sending them there.I strongly recommend have them do a thorough inspection on your vehicle once a year the $85.00 is well worth it. This also works if you are looking at buying a used car, they could end up saving you a lot of money in repairs.Great place Adam at the front counter will answer all of your question honestly including the good news and bad news.
Good place to go if you want the job done right !
Always been one of my local Favorites!
My experience with Kens shop has been excellent. They are very accommodating, quick and reasonably priced. Ken will perform repair work on specialty vehicles that other shops are afraid to do, I Highly recommend Kens Fairbanks Alignment.
Fast, honest service
Great service promt and curious.
My roommate had an issue with the alignment on her car this past fall and when she took it in to Kens the mechanics gave her a big long list of all the things wrong that she needed to fix--a list that was way longer than what actually needed to be done, or what she could afford. She took her car to another auto repair shop where they quoted her a much lower price for a lot less repairs (that actually needed to be completed).I also took my truck in for some replacement of the ball joints and realignment. I was told that the repairs would cost $2400 and they handed me a list of ten things that needed to be repaired. When I called for quotes from other auto companies, several asked me if I had been in an accident due to the list of things I was given--obviously Kens Auto Repair tries to overcharge customers for work that does not need to be completed. I do not recommend this company to anyone due to the dishonesty.
Locally owned and operated is the best. Kens has always been our first choice because the quality, price, and the integrity of Kens keeps us coming back.
Very nice staff and very knowledgable on vehicle maintenance
Never been there but this guy gets 5 stars for his commercial. Cringy and great
Easygoing staff, very communicative and friendly- honest and not over priced, had my car back asap.
Awesome service
Service was great and price reasonable
Awesome Friendly Service
Great service great people
I was new to Fairbanks and needed to have a vehicle repaired. Got an astronomical quote from here. Had my vehicle towed to another shop and they quoted me nearly half the price. Posted my experience online and many people in Fairbanks said they scam people like that so they end up leaving their cars there and they get sold to someone else.
Good quality work and mechanics that understand we dont all have a private bank at our disposal so they willingly price out bare bones in their estimates
Ken says bring it in he should add so we can rip you off. They tried to charge me $575 to change a $150 alternator so your telling me $425 for labor and $52 to put in a battery. I will NEVER go back to Kens as long as I live. Estimate on a alignment on the phone $89 after I brought it in the alignment estimate changed a little their new estimate was $1500. Well your shop is a rip off and people beware...
Great service, reusable priceing
Always take my vehicles here for alignments. Usually gets done the next day and cheapest place Ive found so far for this service.
Best in town
Great staff
