Very nice crew! I felt confident and comfortable leaving my car in their hands. They were very knowledgeable. Quickly pinpointed the problem! I had guessed the issue wrong and it was not as costly as I had assumed it would be! Seemed to have the integrity you dont commonly find in mechanics today! I would recommend them to a friend!

The guys at the shop are great. I thought I might be having transmission problem when my OD light was flashing and would engage in either mode. The guy who handles the front desk and quotes etc narrowed it down to electrical...... he was also able to refer me to an electrical mechanic just up the road. Ive also had my transmission serviced there and theyre a great group of guys who know what theyre doing. Id definitely recommend them for for cars transmission issues or serving.

I have extended coverage insurance. I brought my transmission there to get a diagnostic and a repair paid by insurance. When he found out that they wanted to put a remand remanufactured transmission in my vehicle he declined service and I had to come out of my pocket $450. I dont think its very professional of him to only do the services that make him the most amount of money. He was expecting to make $4,200. Instead with the transmission that they were going to furnish he would only make eight or $900. So he made me base I had to pay $450 plus a trophy just to get my vehicle out of there to the next shop.

Called about a transmission repair on an 2006 acura tsx. Person who answered the phone is very rude and condensending. I asked a simple question what happens if you cant fix the transmission if it is beyond repair? in a rude voice he responded with what do you mean if we cant fix it. He kept repeating this and would not answer the question. Customers service is very poor wont ever do business with someone that is rude and can not answer a simple question

Recently went in for a transmission rebuild on my car. Took them a long time and wasn’t close the estimate they quoted me for. A week later I got a transmission code for a solenoid so I brought it back in to be replaced. They checked everything but says it might not have anything to do with the transmission. I would not recommend this place we will see how long this transmission lasts.Update...... the transmission lasted two months before it went out again.

They used to call them self Precision Transmission Plus. When they had way to many judgements against them, (mine would be one of them) they closed it and reopen under different name. Hey guys if you reading this the judge egress with me that you are the same business and transferred the judgement on to your new business name, you should get the note soon. Interest is ticking more and more and I will continue waiting until there is enough to just take your business. And there are more people like me who you ripped off and we are working with attorney to make it one case. Have a good day and continue screaming at people over the phone because that is all you can do. Act like a big guy on the phone but when it comes to paying you dues you run like a little girl.

I recently installed a new transmission in my truck and called to see if Eds transmission could make sure my Throttle Valve cable was adjusted properly. I explained I was experiencing very hard down shifts from 2nd to 1st. The guy on the phone said thats normal followed by adjusting a throttle valve cable wont chang the way it shifts, I cant fix that. I then asked what was the shops procedure to making sure a Throttle Valve cable is adjusted correctly and his response was I do it by feel. Not a professional shop in my mind. I dont want my New transmission worked on by a shop that does things by feel. He seemed rude on the phone as if I was wasting his time so I did not want to waste anymore of his time telling him that in a 700r4 transmission the shifts are controlled by the governor and the Throttle Valve cable. After hanging up I found a good shop right outside of town that was friendly and does things correctly and professionally.

Avoid this place like the plague. Immoral business practices and awful customer service. When the transmission in our vehicle failed we took it to a place near where it broke down and were quoted $3500 for a rebuild. We called around and spoke with Ed’s mechanic who said he’s been doing this for 42 years and was confident it would be closer to 2500-3000 and take ~3 days. This was on a Monday, so we had it towed there that afternoon. I asked for a call when they removed it to get a firm quote on the work rather than a speculative quote. Then David started answering my calls.By Friday I still hadn’t received a call so I called them and was told the transmission was out of the car but no work done yet. I was told probably ready for pickup on Tuesday. So much for 3 days but oh well, life goes on.Tuesday my wife made arrangements to work from home so she could walk to the shop and pick the car up when it was done. Tuesday afternoon rolls around and no call from the shop, as usual. I call and am told it won’t be ready but probably Wednesday morning. I ask about the quote and David tells me he never put one together assuming I just wanted it fixed no matter the price. I’ve never encountered this with a automotive shop before, you should always be able to approve or question the quote.Wednesday morning no call, I call and it’s not ready. Wednesday afternoon I call and still not ready, this time I spoke with Matt who was apologetic and claimed they were backed up and hopefully Thursday.Thursday morning I get a call from them for the very first time, it’s David telling me they need to do one last thing then it’ll be ready by end of day. I ask for the final price and he still hasn’t put together my quote but says he’ll call back. When he calls back he tells me it’ll be $3088 before tax and fluids. I tell him that’s not an out the door price that any sane person would accept and request the final tally. He then tells me it’ll cost $3478 all total. I said I was told in the beginning that the estimate was 2500-3000, and David said it was the $3000 amount before the taxes and fluids. My jaw dropped at the ridiculousness of this logic. That afternoon I called to pay by card over the phone as we wouldn’t be able to arrive before they closed in order to pick the car up. That’s when David tells me it’s another 2% of the total bill to pay by card, so another ~$70.I was livid but needed the car.The next day I call to ask about them realigning the steering wheel as it was now several degrees off. David tells me he can farm the job out but they won’t pay for it. A new alignment was never mentioned as part of the total bill or mentioned as an expectation.David is the worst sort of auto shop owner/operator. He doesn’t communicate proactively, he’s smug when he does, and he lies by omission. Never again. He also had the car for 8 days to perform a job we were told would take 3.

If you want to be treated last, this is your place to go. Brought in my car, they had it for two days and didnt even look at it. The person who helped me was extremely rude and looked at me with a stink eye when I asked a question. Their motto seems to be I wont look at it unless i fix it Quoted by David, the neglectful employee/owner there. If you drive up the street on Everett Ave, theres a place called Buckys who took my car in, said to wait 15 minutes, and theyll look at it for free! Save yourself some time, and go the extra .1 mile, because Eds will definitely not do that for you.

Wow where to start I took my truck here because the transmission started shifting really hard they looked at it and said the part thats making it shift but would be 300 to fix but than said there was a small leak that and it was low on tranni fluid and I should have to rebuild I checked the tranni fluid before I brought it it there and it was just fine so I said fix the the part for 300 they said ok the next day they call me to tell me they pulled my truck in there shop than fixed the part and now my truck wont start and that Im gonna have to have it towed to some where that can fix I asked the manager/owner if we could work something like maybe I pay for the part and not labor or even split the labor just something so I wasnt being totally screwed he became very angry and started yelling at me calling me boy and telling me I needed to listen to him Im sure he will respond and say this isnt true or that I was being rude first I never even raised my voice until he made the prior statement than after that yes I became very angry and hung up on him I have had my truck towed to another shop they have informed there was nothing wrong with what they fixed the reason why the the tranni was spitting the code and all the other problems is because there was a rat chewing threw a wire harness that was still living there when they found it so I have waisted 322.15 to have something fixed that was never broke and 185 for a tow thanks eds you screwed me to the fullest after reading this and the other reviews I think it would be best to not touch this place with a ten foot pole you will be ripped off beware
