Been going to Karen for the past ten years. Wont let anyone else cut my hair. Shes great.
Friendly, quick, and professional service, great location on 13th near campus.
Karen has been cutting my hair for ten years now. Always does a great job.
Before I get into the review I just want to say that I found that the people there where really kind a it was enjoyable while sitting down waiting for a haircut. This was the only redeeming quality of this place. Once my haircut started it began to go downhill. First I started by saying I wanted to take an inch off the top and for a few seconds the women working didnt didnt say anything. When she did respond she said Ill see when I finish cutting the sides as if it was her choice of how much I wanted to be cut. Next I told the women working what direction my hair goes and normally everywhere else Ive gone a barber understands that that means to leave one side slightly longer for styling purposes. Instead she cut both sides of my hair way to far in and left me with something looking like a mohawk. The lady working also didnt care to ask about the small things like how you want your sideburns or if you want the back to be rounded or squared. Basic things that are expected by any barber to do. Again I will say the lady was nice but that doesnt mean she cuts hair well. I came here because the place across the street was closed on Saturday and I thought I would give this place a shot. Next time Ill just wait until Monday to get my haircut. As a side note if you are new to campus looking for a consistent barber to go to just go across the street to Dudleys. If you do insist on going here avoid the lady at all costs and give the other workers a chance.
I brought my 3 year old son in here today on a whim and man, we found our barber for him! My husband wants to visit now as well. We walked in and we were so warmly welcomed! My son usually dreads getting his hair cut and will throw a huge fit but in here he actually loved getting his hair done and hands down this is the best haircut my son has had! I highly recommend this place!
Molly was very kind and did a great job on my haircut. The aesthetic is very pleasing and feels like an old-timey barbershop. Definitely a good first experience!
Karen (like her father) is a very talented Barber.
Came in and was told to leave because they dont cut womens hair. Im not a woman.
Jim has cut my hair for two years. Excellent job! He also is a great guy!
RR has fair prices and a good location near campus. Karyn is a top notch barber. Even though I have very difficult hair that is thick, coarse, and has lots of cowlicks she always manages to give me a satisfactory cut.
Fantastic cuts by fantastic staff. Go see Karen and Jim today for a perfect cut!
Convenient location on campus with walk-in availability and fair pricing. Sarah has been cutting my hair for a while now and does a great job every time!
Great hair cut, very friendly barbers, fair price, and almost no wait time for a walk-in! Highly recommend
The guy with the long hair who cuts hair was very rude. And it was a bad hair cut
I dont know what her name is but the lady who cut my hair was very unprofessional and unskilled. She said shes been cutting hair for 30 years, but by no means does that mean youre good at it. The hair on the sides of my head came out uneven, unsymmetrical. I told her this and she (angrily) tried to fix it. She blamed me for the uneven cut, sayin that it was because I was moving my head around too much. I told her that its uneven and she responds by saying that usually people would pay $40 for the hair cut that shes giving me. Haircuts at this shop are $17. She said that its not worth her time and effort to cut my hair the way I wanted it because shes not getting paid enough and she has other customers. I was her 9th customer of the day and it was close to closing time. That was very unprofessional of her. If she knew that my haircut was difficult then why did she still cut it and then in the process tell me that its a difficult haircut. She tells me its difficult and shes not getting paid enough for what I want so I tell her that the barbershop opposite of this one (kampus cuts, 5 star service and cuts) only charges $15 for the haircut I get every time, and I always tip them. She tells me to leave the shop and refuses to fix my hair. I repeatedly asked her to let me pay for the haircut but she refuses and was being stubborn so I eventually leave. I believe she was butthurt because she is unable to give me the haircut I want with whatever little skill and technique she has. Its a Saturday and the other barbershop doesnt open until Monday. I have to endure the entire weekend with this awful uneven haircut with a patch of hair on the left side of my head awkwardly sticking out. Im bald on one side of my head with a weird triangle shaped patch of hair sticking, while the other side of my head had a large patch of hair poking out. She told me to go get it fixed at the other place. Lady, that was very unprofessional of you. I was nervous coming in but I decided to give you a chance, now Ill be reluctant to try any barbershop in Eugene and will most likely only stick Kampus cuts as I have ever since I moved to UO in September.
Chill as can be, cash only, atm across the street. Paid parking only at street.
Great service
