Open for outdoor use. Overall an easy experience. Everyone is pretty compliant given the limited resources.

Everytime I call to ask when they will be 24 hours again they say when more people come in. Yet they are kicking people out at 9. Also how are people who come in late gonna come in if your closed. I feel duped into signing back and will leave your gym forever if you dont go back to the hours that are STATED IN YOUR NAME

I used to live closer to the Carlsbad 24 hour but I had to move and now the Escondido facility is closer to me and its so disgusting. Theres trash on the Cardio equipment such as empty water bottles, paper towels in the cup holders and the handles are all greasy. The mirrors upstairs are covered in hand prints and it just seems like the gym is never cleaned. The employees in the front are just standing there talking to each other, never am I acknowledge when Im entering or leaving. Im considering just making the drive and going back to the Carlsbad location.

Bring a towel and wear a mask. Also, use the disinfecting spray on a paper towel and wipe the machines when your done using them. Also, some machines have signs on them. Do not use those. Social distancing. Everyone has to follow the rules so they can stay open for all of us😉

The management at this location is unbelievable and they have provided a complete workout facility outdoors for COVID-19 and are running amazing specials for Thanksgiving!!Totally safe environment hand sanitizers and everything you and your family need to stay safe! Get a workout and stay healthy!! Out door workout area is a nice change from working out indoors.Thanks 24hour fitness!!

Felt kind of safe because the gym isnt crowded but many people dont know or care about how to wear a mask to stop the spread. The staff doesnt seem to care much either. I get that its hard to do intense exercise with a mask. But youre huffing out your breath and you could have covid. Someone that didnt know they had it killed my mom and 12 other residents at her nursing home.

Had a 2 year membership that I paid in full for. Used it for less then a year and then had to move to Idaho for my job. Came back Called to see if we could have it reinstated because the freeze automatically expires and my account was deactivated. The manager said his name was John was pretty rude with me in tone when I wouldnt agree to set up a new membership with a discount and practically refused to ask corporate for me saying that they are probably going to deny me and proceeded to try and get me to buy another membership. He was easily frustrated when I didnt tell him what he wanted to hear. Keep in mind I always keep a calm demeanor and tone even though he wasnt being transparent with me. He didnt want to deal with it anymore so gave me 3 customer service numbers to call. Each one doesnt connect you with anyone because they closed their call centers for COVID. I felt that he wasted my time on purpose...I called the 24 hour in Oceanside and the general manager Chris and his other employe Reagan where very kind. They communicated effectively and with respect. Chris immediately told me he would send the request to corporate when I asked him to.

Large open space gym. I expected more equipment in the facility and I think the supersport isnt exactly so super. It seems pretty basic.

Glad theyre open.theyre taking COVID precautions with due diligence.Disappointed that the pool, sauna, and steam room are closed, but Im sure theyll be open again once Govt restrictions relax

24 Hour Fitness at La Terraza is lacking in so many ways. It looks like a gym from the early 90s because the majority of their cardio machines are old, outdated treadmills that are rickety and have limited options. They ONLY have 2 (two) updated treadmills and if one of them is broken, theyll be broken for weeks. Management removed updated treadmills and replaced them with these outdated machines. 24 Hour Fitness La Terraza is NOT A MEMBER DRIVEN GYM. They do not care about the comfort or fitness goals of their members. Worst gym I have ever been to. Their outside gym was poorly thrown together.

I would give this gym 0 stars if I could. The gym smells like sweat, and the bathrooms are poorly maintained. There was toilet paper all over the floor. Most of the cardio equipment did not work correctly. I had to use 4 different machines before I found one that worked well. This place is managed poorly.

I’ve worked out here for the last 2 years and it’s really great. The members are super nice and respectful and the employees are available if you need help or something cleaned. I recommend this gym if you’re just starting out or if you’re looking for a new atmosphere. They have everything: basketball, pool, sauna, steam, weights, group exercise studios.....a must see.

I like this gym for a few reasons. Its not disgusting in any way and I think a lot of people get that mixed up with the fact that the majority of the general public are complete slobs. They do as much as possible to clean up after foul people. The separation between the cardio downstairs and the weight training upstairs is great. Keeps the foot traffic low. Steam room is great, pool and sauna are awesome. Showers and locker room are always clean. Again, once you have the people that cant clean up after themselves, and are just disgusting all around. Thats what makes a gross gym. No telling why older men like walking around naked, but thats never going to change. Great super-sport gym! Awesome staff.

These PTs need to learn proper gym etiquette. They will steal all the weights of your working rack/bench without asking. I will seriously give you all my weights on my rack/bench if you just freaking ask. Do not roam around like your own the place just because you have a client with you and they dropped $$$ for a session, I am a paying customer too, show me some respect.

Nothing fancy... pretty standard equipment... Large gym floor with a decent selection of machines, benches, and free weights. Basketball and pool as well. This is one of the better 24 hour fitness gyms in the area.

Do not like the pressure that the sales people put on you when you sign up to buy upgrades + personal training. If I want personal training, I’ll ask. Do not tell your people to push me.

I love how spacious this gym is.. keeping all areas of the gym accesible to everyone. I especially appreciate the gym class/ group and cycle rooms! They are member focused, friendly and this gym is clean.

The gym would be so much better if they repaired damaged equipment faster and used BLEACH in the showers. The staff is very friendly but if you bring a friend to join you and possibly sign up, they give a very heavy sales pitch and follow you around the gym. Kids Club hours are unfortunately VERY limited, but I trust the staff.

This is a pleasant place to work out for the most part, but management seems unresponsive to the more minor needs of members (at least those needs Ive indicated to them).For example, consider the metal pins we use to select weight when first using a weight machine. Those pins sometimes go missing, and the club doesnt seem to keep enough replacements handy. Sometimes we can go borrow a pin from another machines weight stack (rendering that other machine unusable), but other times the borrowed pin would be too big to fit. These steel pins probably cost a few bucks; maintenance people could keep some in stock.Also, years ago I requested that they provide more wall hooks in the mens locker room shower area, for hanging our bags of gear while showering. Sometimes all the hooks are in use; we need more. I see wall locations where they could install hooks, and doing that wouldnt cost much. Instead, they spent a bunch of money on decor when they upgraded this club from Sport to Supersport level.And finally, sometimes the maintenance staff is surprisingly slow to get equipment fixed. Its not a serious inconvenience, but worth noting.

Open 24 Hours, well equipped and clean. Staff is usually friendly. The worst of all of these places is some of the people who patronize these places. Not all but a minority, yet enough to get my attention. Some people just cant mind their own business. Some people are also very unsanitary.

I started with 24 about two months ago. I love the personal trainer Carlos, everything was going great..... Until my phone was stolen by an employee!!!! I was beyond mortified, and couldnt believe it. I will never go back to this location. Ever.

Nice place. I think they should get new updated machines just because Im really short so I need to adjust a lot of their equipment for my height lol and its hard because of all the rust they have down there. But thats my fault for being short lmao

For a place that over charges dont expect to get what you pay for.There is something about a place that stops handing out machine washable towels to, Save the environment, that rubs me the wrong way. Especially when their new plan is to use paper towels to clean the equipment.I wouldnt care if you told us that you stopped giving out towels to cut down costs, but dont lie to us.EDIT: Just wanted to add that its awesome they they want to raise the price for membership by a few more dollars. Guess they didnt save enough money stopping their towel service.EDIT2: Towels are now for sale at the front desk... this is absurd.

This is a great gym if you want more of library type of atmosphere !!! But if you are looking to deadlift or do any kind of explosive type of exercises that cause noise, they very strongly frown on it!!! And can be jerks about it (from feedback of others and my own experience ). They seem to care more about a quiet atmosphere, then they do people reaching their highest goals and helping them get there. However, there are a few good trainers here ( because I know them) that are awesome and could care less about the noise you may make. But there a few that will get on your case for deadlifts, ball slams, etc. So, if you want a quiet and low-key atmosphere, this is the gym for you . But if you’re serious!!!, creative, explosive, etc. with your workouts this is probably not the place for you !!! In my opinion, “the gym” is full of noise, it’s full of people doing their exercises and workouts whether explosive, ball slams, dead lifts, etc. That’s just part of a gym!!!! In all my life at different gyms I have NEVER encountered a gym like this one!!! My question is... are they running a gym or are they running a library ???!!!!!!!!

This gym sucks. It used to be nice. Now on any given day there is at least half a dozen machines, benches, pulleys that do not work. The leg press has been broken for 6 months!!! Half of the time the TVs do not work and when they do they are not competent enough to change the station from cooking or news channels. NOT to mention we pay extra for this gym and YET they are about to stop towell service. This GYM SUCKS. Been working out for 22 years and never has a gym taking as long as this one to fix broken equipment. Its ridiculous.

Place is dirty, machines are falling apart. Took away towel service but still keep raising prices. The Water fountains taste like lake water it seems like the filters are never changed .

Another one of 24hrs clubs that I USED to be able to go to with my membership but can no longer because of their bogus tactic of upgrading their sport clubs to supersport status. Wish I had recorded the hard sell they gave me when I joined abut being able to go to ANY 24hr club except for the 2 super-exclusive clubs they had in Los Angeles at the time.

I see a lot of potential. Im grateful and excited about growing and improving here in California.

Have had great coaching from Alex regards my diet and home exercise routine. Have lost 11 pounds in last 2 wks. Will get more involved with equipment next few weeks. Staff and coaches ON their game.

Large gym, has all the equipment you need, includes towel service and wifi, clean basketball court with a lot of good players that go here, has kids club and a pool as well.

I was threatened by Matt no last name given this evening. At the 24 hour fitness located at 400 La Terraza Blvd Escondido CA 92025. I came to the club around 11:50 pm to use the restroom. From the moment I greeted Matt he was very rude. I signed in as usual and was asked to see a receptionist by the computer. I looked up and saw that his face was very angry so I asked what is wrong. He said “ Have you been here before . I said “no”. He said “so you don’t know about the tiers. You can only go to one club and I don’t know which one that is.You can only go to that specific club. I then said “I am not going to argue with you because you are wrong I can go to any sport but some super sports. I can go to more than one club and google maps does not tell you which one. I only came to use the restroom.” He just waived me off. I am looking around for the restroom and he angrily says “it over there” and point to a wall. I use the restroom and return to the front desk. I politely ask if there is a manager available and he says very angry again “no” then I ask for his name he says Matt. I then say “may I please have phone number so I can call in the morning” he then says look it up on google maps. I say “I don’t want to I want a business card or for you to write it down”.He then says “since you want to take it there I’ll show you. You know what.” I then pull out my phone and say “maybe I should record you since you are acting crazy”. I never press record. He then Strom’s off and gets the card and then I look at the other confused patrons and a man next to me says “what is this dudes problem” I say he must be crazy or racist because there is no other reason for him to be this rude or angry. (He was also pretty rude to the man next to me) The man agrees. He returns with the card and threatens to cancel my membership over and over again. He also refuses to give me the card when I reach my shaking hand out he says “ha your shaking” I then say why are you so angry where is all this hate coming from then he starts to yell at me even louder than before he finally gives me the card and as I am leaving and backing away but still facing him I ask why are you so angry he just keeps yelling and says he will cancel my membership. I leave shaking and in tears. I will sue if he is not fired. I have also reported this incident to a nearby club since Matt was very confident that his actions were ok I am worried that the management at this club is close to him or allows this behavior. I also called after the incident at first he did not answer then when he did he was very rude and said my membership was cancelled then he hung up when I calmly told him how rude he was.I have never been treated with such anger and hate at a gym. His actions were bazaar.

Worst 24 hours everrrrr!!!Bad customer service, one of the managers Chris is very unprofessional, locker rooms always dirty and some employees never say hi and they look tired. Makes you not wanna work out and go there.

Poorly managed and over priced. We pay the same price as nicer 24 locations. The floors always have days worth of shoe gunk turning the floor from light grey to black. They no longer offer towels, because its bad for the enviorment, also the bleached paper towels that people use as a substitute are worse for the enviorment. Also the location 2 miles away still does offer towel service. Machines always broken, gymgoers are lazy leaving weights everywhere. The only good thing is the hours, if LA were to be open 24 hours Id make the switch in a heart beat.

I went in to workout after work with my friend and my friend let Matt at the front desk know that I got unlimited guest privileges. As soon as he told Matt, Matt said that he’s never heard of that. Instead of just looking at my account that was right in front of him. Then proceeded to start getting upset because I let him know that it wasn’t my fault I just got grandfathered in because I was signed up to another gym that allowed it. Terrible customer service for no reason at all

Its ok here. Sometimes I think it could use a remodel, even though its already on the remodeled look. Cleanliness is an issue sometimes, but equipment usually works.

Pool and spa are great and clean. The rest of gym is constantly dirty, rules are not enforced, equipment is often broken, loud bad music is piped throughout gym. Staff is inattentive. They do have a complete selection of equipment. Hey its 24 hour fitness.

I used to have objections to this gym on the grounds that its clerks seemed to misplace my membership information. However, the advent of the finger-scan at the desk has eliminated this issue, and I also like how this gym now provides towels. The weight room is very large, and packed though I wish there were a few more pairs of the same types of free weights, and so is the Group X room. All of the Group X instructors Ive had here are very good. The toilets, locker room, and showers are generally well-maintained; except for one soap dispenser that never gets fixed, but each shower stall has two, anyway.The one downside? There are TVs in the locker room, and on occasion they are playing political talk-shows. Stick to sports, guys!

Been a member since age 15 and love the locations and equipment to stay fit and healthy.

Didnt even get a chance to work out. My friend has a membership and after consulting one of the staff members about the bring a guest (as mentioned on the official websit), the staff member stated that my friend can bring a guest because of his membership. Came in tonight and was nearly roped in to sign up for a membership, even when stating that this was my first night ever at a 24 hr and wasnt interested in signing up. The staff member stated that this was a part of the free guest pass process but on the computer screen it clearly stated new member.Guests, dont waste your time. 24 hr if there are subtext with your guest requirements, please annotate it and train all staff members. Some of us want to maintain and stay fit, not get fat talking to your sales rep.

In San Diego county the 24s are best. Ive been to em all.

This place is my least favorite 24 Hour fitness. This gym is extremely disgusting, it seems like nobody maintains or cleans this place. Many cardio machines need to be fixed or replaced and the weight area gets way to much traffic with no one held accountable to clean up the place.

Super rude they try to push you so hard to make a sale...there so desperate its sad I couldnt believe how much time they wasted of me and my boyfriends they think insulting you will make you want to sign up with them like there some special gym when there not the super sport is just a thing they use to try to charge you more the only different thing about this 24 hour fitness is that the trainers are so pushy this stuff should sell it self you shouldnt have to harass customers like the older gentleman did to use we left feeling so disrespected I just couldnt believe a gym would treat there customers like that...they shouldnt have to put you down to try to make themselves feel better some major self esteem issues going on over here

Large enough to not get as crowded as the 24 hour in RB and Rancho.

Why is this a supersport? All of the equipment is outdated and the sanitation is poor here. The employees are all lazy, apathetic and rude.

The worst gym experience Ive ever encountered. Im not sure if it was the broken equipment, the lockers to small for a backpack or the flies in the shower. All I know is I wont be visiting that club any time soon.

KEEP AWAY. Chris McClure is an a*shole. He only cares about money, he tries to pressure you into a membership and God forbid you tell him that you just want to try it out first, he will tell you to get out and don’t come back.

General Manager is terrible! If you must go to a 24 hour fitness, go to the one at the mall or anywhere else for that matter.
