Moved to Erie recently, and am quite particular about my hair. Joe was highly rated, and I see why. Professional haircut, hot towel, and quick service. Will not be going anywhere else - Joe is my guy now.

Very pleasant time getting my hair cut today with Joe. First time customer and was very happy with my haircut! The atmosphere in this Barber studio was very relaxing and made the experience so much better! Cant wait to go back for another cut. I am a student at Behrend, I must say Joe does excellent work. He is quick and efficient with his cutting. He always has sports games on for you to watch when you are in the chair and is quick to talk about whatever. 10/10 would recommend, his skin fades are top quality.

I go to Mercyhurst University down the street from Joe’s Studio. My roommate had told me that Joe cut his hair and told me that I should give him a shot. This was my first time ever going to a barber for a haircut and I must say that Joe far exceeded my expectations. The studio itself is a welcoming, cozy environment and Joe is very professional and great at what he does. He gave me easily the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. The attention to detail really stood out in his work. I am very particular about my hair and it serves as a huge relief that I have found a barber who I can trust right here by my school.

A great experience along with a good haircut

My son and I have been getting our hair cuts with Joe for about 7 years. He has always been on time and he has created an exceptional environment. My son was a toddler when he started getting hair cuts with Joe and he was very good with him at his young age. I have never been dissatisfied with a haircut. I would definitely recommend.

He used to give good cuts. Its been steadily down hill over the past 3 years or so. I asked not to talk about politics while in the chair after he brought it up. He pressed harder about how you need to support the president no matter what despite my repeated requests to stop the line of discussion so I could just get my hair cut. I will never go here again between the declining results and him being a general jerk. In addition he will schedule you for a time and then take on walk-ins and leave you waiting 20-30 minutes past your scheduled time without even an apology.

He was very aggressive when shaving and buzzing. He left my fade extremely uneven and left a large red mark on the back of my neck from being too aggressive with the straight razor. Very dissatisfied, will not be going back.

Joe use to cut my hair a few years back and I was glad to run into him again. He does a great job !! Paying for so so haircuts and smelling perm and other misc chemicals at Salons was not desirable by any means .. The facility is a perfect vision of what a Barber Shop should look like

I am giving Joe a 5 star because he gives the best haircut in town/Erie area but I will not be returning to the study based on the experience. I am not one to complain, I actually grew up learning to keep my mouth shut and carry a big stick but I have to at least let him know why I am leaving, and it is simple because my appointments arent honored. In the last 3 times I was in there I did not get my hair cut at my appointment time or at all. I cannot remember the first date but the second time was October 7 my mothers retirement party in which my dad asked me to get a haircut. I work till 5, and knowing Joe closed at 5:30 I called and ask if he could see me and graciously he agreed to cut my hair at 6:00 which you dont find a lot of businesses will do so I was very greatfu and made sure I got there early in case he could see me sooner. When I got there there was one man getting his hair cut and 2 in the lobby which I wasnt worried because I had a appointment at 6:00. But I sat there till 6:30 with one of the two gentlemen that was sitting when I got there and when he came to call the next one it was him not me, so now with no hair cut I have to go to my moms party and I am not mad that he gets hacked up, I mean like I said hes the best cut in town, I was mad because he scheduled me for 6 having to know he was backed up or took walk ins before appointments. Either way I shook it off and said next time Ill just walk in and wait which I did this last time but sure enough an appointment walked in after me and he took him so I left. Yes, leaving was petty, but after the last 2 times I just finally had enough of waiting I guess. so this is just an ally for me to vent, I want to reiterate that Joe is THE BEST haircut in town, and this was for me to let Joe know how I feel.

Ive been going to Joe since I was a little kid. Hes always been professional and done a great job with my hair. Lately, I feel like my visits are more rushed than normal. The straight blade shave and hot towel used to be something I looked forward to, but now every time I leave with scratches and cuts everywhere on my neck and ears. It has happened about the last 5 times Ive gone. I was hoping it was just a one time thing. I knew there had to be a reason why he wasnt using the mirror to show me the back like he normally does. Its sad that I have to take my business else where, but there are other barbers out there who charge less and dont murder my neck.

Maybe he’s a good barber, but your customer skills are 0. Learn how to greet new customers and ask what they need or if they called in, instead of staring at them like a zombie.

Nice guy but asked him to cut my hair to about an two inches on top for a short undercut and he cut it to basically a quarter of an inch and gave me a high and tight. It honestly looks terrible and pretty much its ruined for the wedding I have to attend this weekend.
